Psalm 43 43 Psalms Book 2 Catholic Public Domain Version Send Out Your Light 1 CPDV A Psalm of David. Judge me, O God, and discern my cause from that of a nation not holy; rescue me from a man unjust and deceitful. BSB BSB: Vindicate me, O God, and plead my case against an ungodly nation; deliver me from deceitful and unjust men.
CPDV For you are God, my strength. Why have you rejected me? And why do I walk in sadness, while the adversary afflicts me? BSB BSB: For You are the God of my refuge. Why have You rejected me? Why must I walk in sorrow because of the enemy’s oppression?
CPDV Send forth your light and your truth. They have guided me and led me, to your holy mountain and into your tabernacles. BSB BSB: Send out Your light and Your truth; let them lead me. Let them bring me to Your holy mountain and to the place where You dwell.
CPDV And I will enter, up to the altar of God, to God who enlivens my youthfulness. To you, O God, my God, I will confess upon a stringed instrument. BSB BSB: Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my greatest joy. I will praise You with the harp, O God, my God.
CPDV Why are you sad, my soul? And why do you disquiet me? Hope in God, for I will still give praise to him: the salvation of my countenance and my God. BSB BSB: Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why the unease within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God.
