The Kings of Edom (Genesis 36:31–43)
43 DRA Now these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before there was a king over the children of Israel: Bale the son of Beer: and the name of his city was Denaba. 45 DRA And when Jobab also was dead, Husam of the land of the Themanites reigned in his stead. BSB BSB: When Jobab died, Husham from the land of the Temanites reigned in his place.
46 DRA And Husam also died, and Adad the son of Badad reigned in his stead, and he defeated the Madianites in the land of Moab: and the name of his city was Avith. BSB BSB: When Husham died, Hadad son of Bedad, who defeated Midian in the country of Moab, reigned in his place. And the name of his city was Avith.
47 DRA And when Adad also was dead, Semla of Masreca reigned in his stead. BSB BSB: When Hadad died, Samlah from Masrekah reigned in his place.
48 DRA Semla also died, and Saul of Rohoboth, which is near the river, reigned in his stead. BSB BSB: When Samlah died, Shaul from Rehoboth on the Euphrates reigned in his place.
49 DRA And when Saul was dead, Balanan the son of Achobor reigned in his stead. BSB BSB: When Shaul died, Baal-hanan son of Achbor reigned in his place.
50 DRA He also died, and Adad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Phau, and his wife was called Meetabel the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezaab. BSB BSB: When Baal-hanan died, Hadad reigned in his place. His city was named Pau, and his wife’s name was Mehetabel daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-zahab.
51 DRA And after the death of Adad, there began to be dukes in Edom instead of kings: duke Thamna, duke Alva, duke Jetheth, BSB BSB: Then Hadad died. Now the chiefs of Edom were Timna, Alvah, Jetheth,
52 DRA Duke Oolibama, duke Ela, duke Phinon, BSB BSB: Oholibamah, Elah, Pinon,
53 DRA Duke Cenez, duke Theman, duke Mabsar, BSB BSB: Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar,
