The Descendants of Adam (1 Chronicles 1:1–3)
2 DRA He created them male and female; and blessed them: and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created. BSB BSB: Male and female He created them, and He blessed them. And in the day they were created, He called them “man.”
4 DRA And the days of Adam, after he begot Seth, were eight hundred years: and he begot sons and daughters. BSB BSB: And after he had become the father of Seth, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters.
5 DRA And all the time that Adam lived came to nine hundred and thirty years, and he died. BSB BSB: So Adam lived a total of 930 years, and then he died.
6 DRA Seth also lived a hundred and five years, and begot Enos. BSB BSB: When Seth was 105 years old, he became the father of Enosh.
7 DRA And Seth lived after he begot Enos, eight hundred and seven years, and begot sons and daughters. BSB BSB: And after he had become the father of Enosh, Seth lived 807 years and had other sons and daughters.
8 DRA And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years, and he died. BSB BSB: So Seth lived a total of 912 years, and then he died.
9 DRA And Enos lived ninety years, and begot Cainan. BSB BSB: When Enosh was 90 years old, he became the father of Kenan.
10 DRA After whose birth he lived eight hundred and fifteen years, and begot sons and daughters. BSB BSB: And after he had become the father of Kenan, Enosh lived 815 years and had other sons and daughters.
11 DRA And all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years, and he died. BSB BSB: So Enosh lived a total of 905 years, and then he died.
12 DRA And Cainan lived seventy years, and begot Malaleel. BSB BSB: When Kenan was 70 years old, he became the father of Mahalalel.
13 DRA And Cainan lived after he begot Malaleel, eight hundred and forty years, and begot sons and daughters. BSB BSB: And after he had become the father of Mahalalel, Kenan lived 840 years and had other sons and daughters.
14 DRA And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years, and he died. BSB BSB: So Kenan lived a total of 910 years, and then he died.
15 DRA And Malaleel lived sixty-five years, and begot Jared. BSB BSB: When Mahalalel was 65 years old, he became the father of Jared.
16 DRA And Malaleel lived after he begot Jared, eight hundred and thirty years, and begot sons and daughters. BSB BSB: And after he had become the father of Jared, Mahalalel lived 830 years and had other sons and daughters.
17 DRA And all the days of Malaleel were eight hundred and ninety-five years, and he died. BSB BSB: So Mahalalel lived a total of 895 years, and then he died.
God Takes Up Enoch (Hebrews 11:5)
18 DRA And Jared lived a hundred and sixty-two years, and begot Henoch. BSB BSB: When Jared was 162 years old, he became the father of Enoch.
19 DRA And Jared lived after he begot Henoch, eight hundred years, and begot sons and daughters. BSB BSB: And after he had become the father of Enoch, Jared lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters.
20 DRA And all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years, and he died. BSB BSB: So Jared lived a total of 962 years, and then he died.
21 DRA And Henoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Mathusala. BSB BSB: When Enoch was 65 years old, he became the father of Methuselah.
22 DRA And Henoch walked with God: and lived after he begot Mathusala, three hundred years, and begot sons and daughters. BSB BSB: And after he had become the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked with God 300 years and had other sons and daughters.
23 DRA And all the days of Henoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. BSB BSB: So Enoch lived a total of 365 years.
24 DRA And he walked with God, and was seen no more: because God took him. BSB BSB: Enoch walked with God, and then he was no more, because God had taken him away.
From Methuselah to Noah 25 DRA And Mathusala lived a hundred and eighty-seven years, and begot Lamech. BSB BSB: When Methuselah was 187 years old, he became the father of Lamech.
26 DRA And Mathusala lived after he begot Lamech, seven hundred and eighty-two years, and begot sons and daughters. BSB BSB: And after he had become the father of Lamech, Methuselah lived 782 years and had other sons and daughters.
27 DRA And all the days of Mathusala were nine hundred and sixty-nine years, and he died. BSB BSB: So Methuselah lived a total of 969 years, and then he died.
28 DRA And Lamech lived a hundred and eighty-two years, and begot a son. BSB BSB: When Lamech was 182 years old, he had a son.
29 DRA And he called his name Noe, saying: This same shall comfort us from the works and labours of our hands on the earth, which the Lord hath cursed. BSB BSB: And he named him Noah, saying, “May this one comfort us in the labor and toil of our hands caused by the ground that the LORD has cursed.”
30 DRA And Lamech lived after he begot Noe, five hundred and ninety-five years, and begot sons and daughters. BSB BSB: And after he had become the father of Noah, Lamech lived 595 years and had other sons and daughters.
31 DRA And all the days of Lamech came to seven hundred and seventy-seven years, and he died. BSB BSB: So Lamech lived a total of 777 years, and then he died.
32 DRA And Noe, when he was five hundred years old, begot Sem, Cham, and Japheth. BSB BSB: After Noah was 500 years old, he became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
