It Is Good to Sing Praises 1 DRA Praise ye the Lord, because psalm is good: to our God be joyful and comely praise. BSB BSB: Hallelujah! How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and lovely to praise Him!
2 DRA The Lord buildeth up Jerusalem: he will gather together the dispersed of Israel. BSB BSB: The LORD builds up Jerusalem; He gathers the exiles of Israel.
3 DRA Who healeth the broken of heart, and bindeth up their bruises. BSB BSB: He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
4 DRA Who telleth the number of the stars: and calleth them all by their names. BSB BSB: He determines the number of the stars; He calls them each by name.
5 DRA Great is our Lord, and great is his power: and of his wisdom there is no number. BSB BSB: Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding has no limit.
6 DRA The Lord lifteth up the meek, and bringeth the wicked down even to the ground. BSB BSB: The LORD sustains the humble, but casts the wicked to the ground.
7 DRA Sing ye to the Lord with praise: sing to our God upon the harp. BSB BSB: Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; make music on the harp to our God,
8 DRA Who covereth the heaven with clouds, and prepareth rain for the earth. Who maketh grass to grow on the mountains, and herbs for the service of men. BSB BSB: who covers the sky with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass to grow on the hills.
9 DRA Who giveth to beasts their food: and to the young ravens that call upon him. BSB BSB: He provides food for the animals, and for the young ravens when they call.
10 DRA He shall not delight in the strength of the horse: nor take pleasure in the legs of a man. BSB BSB: He does not delight in the strength of the horse; He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man.
11 DRA The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear him: and in them that hope in his mercy. BSB BSB: The LORD is pleased with those who fear Him, who hope in His loving devotion.
12 DRA Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem: praise thy God, O Sion. BSB BSB: Exalt the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise your God, O Zion!
13 DRA Because he hath strengthened the bolts of thy gates, he hath blessed thy children within thee. BSB BSB: For He strengthens the bars of your gates and blesses the children within you.
14 DRA Who hath placed peace in thy borders: and filleth thee with the fat of corn. BSB BSB: He makes peace at your borders; He fills you with the finest wheat.
15 DRA Who sendeth forth his speech to the earth: his word runneth swiftly. BSB BSB: He sends forth His command to the earth; His word runs swiftly.
16 DRA Who giveth snow like wool: scattereth mists like ashes. BSB BSB: He spreads the snow like wool; He scatters the frost like ashes;
17 DRA He sendeth his crystal like morsels: who shall stand before the face of his cold? BSB BSB: He casts forth His hail like pebbles. Who can withstand His icy blast?
18 DRA He shall send out his word, and shall melt them: his wind shall blow, and the waters shall run. BSB BSB: He sends forth His word and melts them; He unleashes His winds, and the waters flow.
19 DRA Who declareth his word to Jacob: his justices and his judgments to Israel. BSB BSB: He declares His word to Jacob, His statutes and judgments to Israel.
20 DRA He hath not done in like manner to every nation: and his judgments he hath not made manifest to them. Alleluia. BSB BSB: He has done this for no other nation; they do not know His judgments. Hallelujah!
