2 DRA Thou art beautiful above the sons of men: grace is poured abroad in thy lips; therefore hath God blessed thee for ever. BSB BSB: You are the most handsome of men; grace has anointed your lips; therefore God has blessed you forever.
3 DRA Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O thou most mighty. BSB BSB: Strap your sword at your side, O mighty warrior; appear in your majesty and splendor.
4 DRA With thy comeliness and thy beauty set out, proceed prosperously, and reign. Because of truth and meekness and justice: and thy right hand shall conduct thee wonderfully. BSB BSB: In your splendor ride forth in victory on behalf of truth and humility and justice; may your right hand show your awesome deeds.
5 DRA Thy arrows are sharp: under thee shall people fall, into the hearts of the king’s enemies. BSB BSB: Your arrows pierce the hearts of the king’s foes; the nations fall beneath your feet.
6 DRA Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a sceptre of uprightness. BSB BSB: Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever, and justice is the scepter of Your kingdom.
7 DRA Thou hast loved justice, and hated iniquity: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. BSB BSB: You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has anointed you above your companions with the oil of joy.
8 DRA Myrrh and stacte and cassia perfume thy garments, from the ivory houses: out of which BSB BSB: All your garments are fragrant with myrrh and aloes and cassia; from palaces of ivory the harps make you glad.
9 DRA The daughters of kings have delighted thee in thy glory. The queen stood on thy right hand, in gilded clothing; surrounded with variety. BSB BSB: The daughters of kings are among your honored women; the queen stands at your right hand, adorned with the gold of Ophir.
10 DRA Hearken, O daughter, and see, and incline thy ear: and forget thy people and thy father’s house. BSB BSB: Listen, O daughter! Consider and incline your ear: Forget your people and your father’s house,
11 DRA And the king shall greatly desire thy beauty; for he is the Lord thy God, and him they shall adore. BSB BSB: and the king will desire your beauty; bow to him, for he is your lord.
12 DRA And the daughters of Tyre with gifts, yea, all the rich among the people, shall entreat thy countenance. BSB BSB: The Daughter of Tyre will come with a gift; men of wealth will seek your favor.
13 DRA All the glory of the king’s daughter is within in golden borders, BSB BSB: All glorious is the princess in her chamber; her gown is embroidered with gold.
14 DRA Clothed round about with varieties. After her shall virgins be brought to the king: her neighbours shall be brought to thee. BSB BSB: In colorful garments she is led to the king; her virgin companions are brought before you.
15 DRA They shall be brought with gladness and rejoicing: they shall be brought into the temple of the king. BSB BSB: They are led in with joy and gladness; they enter the palace of the king.
16 DRA Instead of thy fathers, sons are born to thee: thou shalt make them princes over all the earth. BSB BSB: Your sons will succeed your fathers; you will make them princes throughout the land.
17 DRA They shall remember thy name throughout all generations. Therefore shall people praise thee for ever; yea, for ever and ever. BSB BSB: I will commemorate your name through all generations; therefore the nations will praise you forever and ever.
