BSB BSB: both of these men—the Egyptian king’s cupbearer and baker, who were being held in the prison—had a dream on the same night, and each dream had its own meaning.
UEB Joseph came to them in the morning and saw them. Behold, they were sad. BSB BSB: When Joseph came to them in the morning, he saw that they were distraught.
UEB He asked Pharaoh's officials who were with him in custody in his master's house, saying, "Why do you look so sad today?" BSB BSB: So he asked the officials of Pharaoh who were in custody with him in his master’s house, “Why are your faces so downcast today?”
UEB They said to him, "We have both dreamed a dream and no one can interpret it." Joseph said to them, "Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell me, please." BSB BSB: “We both had dreams,” they replied, “but there is no one to interpret them.” Then Joseph said to them, “Don’t interpretations belong to God? Tell me your dreams.”
UEB The chief of the cupbearers told his dream to Joseph. He said to him, "In my dream, behold, a vine was in front of me. BSB BSB: So the chief cupbearer told Joseph his dream: “In my dream there was a vine before me,

UEB Joseph said to him, "This is the interpretation of it. The three branches are three days. BSB BSB: Joseph replied, “This is the interpretation: The three branches are three days.
UEB Within three days Pharaoh will lift up your head and restore you to your office. You will put Pharaoh's cup into his hand, just as when you were his cupbearer. BSB BSB: Within three days Pharaoh will lift up your head and restore your position. You will put Pharaoh’s cup in his hand, just as you did when you were his cupbearer.
UEB But think of me when it goes well with you, and please show kindness to me. Mention me to Pharaoh and bring me out of this prison. BSB BSB: But when it goes well for you, please remember me and show me kindness by mentioning me to Pharaoh, that he might bring me out of this prison.
UEB For indeed I was abducted out of the land of the Hebrews. Here also have I done nothing that they should put me in this dungeon." BSB BSB: For I was kidnapped from the land of the Hebrews, and even here I have done nothing for which they should have put me in this dungeon.”
UEB When the chief of the bakers saw that the interpretation was favorable, he said to Joseph, "I also had a dream, and, behold, three baskets of bread were on my head. BSB BSB: When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was favorable, he said to Joseph, “I too had a dream: There were three baskets of white bread on my head.
UEB In the top basket there were all kinds of baked goods for Pharaoh, but the birds ate them out of the basket on my head." BSB BSB: In the top basket were all sorts of baked goods for Pharaoh, but the birds were eating them out of the basket on my head.”
UEB Joseph answered and said, "This is the interpretation. The three baskets are three days. BSB BSB: Joseph replied, “This is the interpretation: The three baskets are three days.
UEB Within three days Pharaoh will lift up your head from you and will hang you on a tree. The birds will eat your flesh off you." BSB BSB: Within three days Pharaoh will lift off your head and hang you on a tree. Then the birds will eat the flesh of your body.”
UEB It came about on the third day that it was Pharaoh's birthday. He made a feast for all his servants. He lifted up the head of the chief of the cupbearers and the head of the chief of the bakers, among his servants. BSB BSB: On the third day, which was Pharaoh’s birthday, he held a feast for all his officials, and in their presence he lifted up the heads of the chief cupbearer and the chief baker.

UEB But he hanged the chief of the bakers, just as Joseph had interpreted to them. BSB BSB: But Pharaoh hanged the chief baker, just as Joseph had described to them in his interpretation.
UEB Yet the chief cupbearer did not remember Joseph, but forgot about him. BSB BSB: The chief cupbearer, however, did not remember Joseph; he forgot all about him.
