UEB When everyone saw this, they all complained, saying, "He has gone in to visit a man who is a sinner." BSB BSB: And all who saw this began to grumble, saying, “He has gone to be the guest of a sinful man!”
UEB Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, "Look, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor, and if I have cheated anyone of anything, I will restore four times the amount." BSB BSB: But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord, half of my possessions I give to the poor, and if I have cheated anyone, I will repay it fourfold.”

UEB He said therefore, "A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and then to return. BSB BSB: So He said, “A man of noble birth went to a distant country to lay claim to his kingship and then return.
UEB He called ten of his servants, and gave them ten minas, and said to them, 'Conduct business until I come back.' BSB BSB: Beforehand, he called ten of his servants and gave them ten minas. ‘Conduct business with this until I return,’ he said.
UEB But his citizens hated him and sent a delegation after him, saying, 'We will not have this man rule over us.' BSB BSB: But his subjects hated him and sent a delegation after him to say, ‘We do not want this man to rule over us.’
UEB It happened when he came back again, having received the kingdom, he commanded the servants to whom he had given the money to be called to him, that he might know what profit they had made by doing business. BSB BSB: When he returned from procuring his kingship, he summoned the servants to whom he had given the money, to find out what each one had earned.
UEB The first came before him, saying, 'Lord, your mina has made ten minas more.' BSB BSB: The first servant came forward and said, ‘Master, your mina has produced ten more minas.’
UEB The nobleman said to him, 'Well done, good servant. Because you were faithful in very little, you will have authority over ten cities.' BSB BSB: His master replied, ‘Well done, good servant! Because you have been faithful in a very small matter, you shall have authority over ten cities.’
UEB The second came, saying, 'Your mina, lord, has made five minas.' BSB BSB: The second servant came and said, ‘Master, your mina has made five minas.’
UEB The nobleman said to him, 'You take charge over five cities.' BSB BSB: And to this one he said, ‘You shall have authority over five cities.’
UEB Another came, saying, 'Lord, here is your mina, which I kept safely in a cloth, BSB BSB: Then another servant came and said, ‘Master, here is your mina, which I have laid away in a piece of cloth.
UEB for I was afraid of you, because you are a demanding person. You take up what you did not put in, and you reap what you did not sow.' BSB BSB: For I was afraid of you, because you are a harsh man. You withdraw what you did not deposit and reap what you did not sow.’
UEB The nobleman said to him, 'By your own words I will judge you, you wicked servant. You knew that I am a demanding person, that I take up what I did not put in, and that I reaped what I did not sow. BSB BSB: His master replied, ‘You wicked servant, I will judge you by your own words. So you knew that I am a harsh man, withdrawing what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow?
UEB Then why did you not put my money in the bank, so that when I returned I would have collected it with interest?' BSB BSB: Why then did you not deposit my money in the bank, and upon my return I could have collected it with interest?’
UEB The nobleman said to them that stood by, 'Take away from him the mina, and give it to him that has the ten minas.' BSB BSB: Then he told those standing by, ‘Take the mina from him and give it to the one who has ten minas.’
UEB They said to him, 'Lord, he has ten minas.' BSB BSB: ‘Master,’ they said, ‘he already has ten!’
UEB 'I say to you, that everyone who has will be given more, but from him that has not, even that which he has will be taken away. BSB BSB: He replied, ‘I tell you that everyone who has will be given more; but the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.
UEB But these enemies of mine, those who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and kill them before me.'" BSB BSB: And these enemies of mine who were unwilling for me to rule over them, bring them here and slay them in front of me.’”

UEB saying, "Go into the next village. As you enter, you will find a colt that has never been ridden. Untie it and bring it to me. BSB BSB: saying, “Go into the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, on which no one has ever sat. Untie it and bring it here.
UEB If anyone asks you, 'Why are you untying it?' say, 'The Lord has need of it.'" BSB BSB: If anyone asks, ‘Why are you untying it?’ tell him, ‘The Lord needs it.’”
UEB Those who were sent went and found the colt just as Jesus had told them. BSB BSB: So those who were sent went out and found it just as Jesus had told them.
UEB As they were untying the colt, the owners said to them, "Why are you untying the colt?" BSB BSB: As they were untying the colt, its owners asked, “Why are you untying the colt?”
UEB They said, "The Lord has need of it." BSB BSB: “The Lord needs it,” they answered.
UEB They brought it to Jesus, and they threw their cloaks upon the colt and set Jesus on it. BSB BSB: Then they led the colt to Jesus, threw their cloaks over it, and put Jesus on it.
UEB As he went, they spread their cloaks on the road. BSB BSB: As He rode along, the people spread their cloaks on the road.
UEB As he was now approaching the place where the Mount of Olives descends, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works which they had seen, BSB BSB: And as He approached the descent from the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of disciples began to praise God joyfully in a loud voice for all the miracles they had seen:
UEB saying, "Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!" BSB BSB: “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”
UEB Some of the Pharisees in the multitude said to him, "Teacher, rebuke your disciples." BSB BSB: But some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Him, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples!”

UEB For the days will come upon you when your enemies will build a barricade around you, and surround you, and press in on you from every side. BSB BSB: For the days will come upon you when your enemies will barricade you and surround you and hem you in on every side.
UEB They will strike you down to the ground and your children with you. They will not leave one stone upon another, because you did not recognize it when God was trying to save you." BSB BSB: They will level you to the ground—you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation from God.”
