Psalm 32 32 Psalms Book 1 Unlocked English Bible The Joy of Forgiveness (Romans 4:1–12)
UEB Blessed is the person whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. BSB BSB: Of David. A Maskil. Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.
UEB Blessed is the man to whom Yahweh reckons no guilt and in whose spirit there is no deceit. BSB BSB: Blessed is the man whose iniquity the LORD does not count against him, in whose spirit there is no deceit.
UEB When I remained silent, my bones were wasting away while I groaned all day long. BSB BSB: When I kept silent, my bones became brittle from my groaning all day long.
UEB For day and night your hand was heavy upon me. My strength withered as in summer drought. Selah BSB BSB: For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was drained as in the summer heat. Selah
UEB Then I acknowledged my sin to you, and I no longer hid my iniquity. I said, "I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh," and you forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah BSB BSB: Then I acknowledged my sin to You and did not hide my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD,” and You forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah
UEB Because of this, all who are godly should pray to you at a time of great distress. Then when the surging waters overflow, they will not reach those people. BSB BSB: Therefore let all the godly pray to You while You may be found. Surely when great waters rise, they will not come near.
UEB You are my hiding place; you will guard me from trouble. You will surround me with the songs of victory. Selah BSB BSB: You are my hiding place. You protect me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah
UEB I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go. I will instruct you with my eye upon you. BSB BSB: I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go; I will give you counsel and watch over you.
UEB Do not be like a horse or like a mule, which have no understanding; it is only with bridle and bit to control them that they will go where you want them to. BSB BSB: Do not be like the horse or mule, which have no understanding; they must be controlled with bit and bridle to make them come to you.
UEB The wicked have many sorrows, but Yahweh's covenant faithfulness will surround the one who trusts in him. BSB BSB: Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but loving devotion surrounds him who trusts in the LORD.
UEB Be glad in Yahweh, and rejoice, you righteous; shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart. BSB BSB: Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, O righteous ones; shout for joy, all you upright in heart.
