The LORD Has Heard My Voice 1 ULT I love{ him} because Yahweh hears my voice, my pleas, BSB BSB: I love the LORD, for He has heard my voice—my appeal for mercy.
2 ULT because he extends his ear to me; and throughout my days I will call out. BSB BSB: Because He has inclined His ear to me, I will call on Him as long as I live.
3 ULT The cords of death surrounded me, and the constrictions of Sheol found me; I found anguish and sorrow. BSB BSB: The ropes of death entangled me; the anguish of Sheol overcame me; I was confronted by trouble and sorrow.
4 ULT Then I called on the name of Yahweh:“Please Yahweh, rescue my life.” BSB BSB: Then I called on the name of the LORD: “O LORD, deliver my soul!”
5 ULT Yahweh{ is} merciful and righteous, and our God{ is} compassionate. BSB BSB: The LORD is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion.
6 ULT Yahweh guards the naive; I was low, and he saved me. BSB BSB: The LORD preserves the simplehearted; I was helpless, and He saved me.
7 ULT Return to your rest, my soul, for Yahweh has repaid you. BSB BSB: Return to your rest, O my soul, for the LORD has been good to you.
8 ULT For you rescued my soul from death, my eye from weeping, my foot from stumbling. BSB BSB: For You have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling.
9 ULT I will walk to the face of Yahweh in the lands of the living. BSB BSB: I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.
10 ULT I trusted, though I spoke,“I, I am very wretched.” BSB BSB: I believed, therefore I said, “I am greatly afflicted.”
11 ULT I, I said in my panic,“All mankind lies.” BSB BSB: In my alarm I said, “All men are liars!”
12 ULT How can I return to Yahweh all of his bestowments to me? BSB BSB: How can I repay the LORD for all His goodness to me?
13 ULT I will raise the cup of salvation, and call on the name of Yahweh. BSB BSB: I will lift the cup of salvation and call on the name of the LORD.
14 ULT I will fulfill my vows to Yahweh right in front of all of his people. BSB BSB: I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all His people.
15 ULT Precious in the eyes of Yahweh{ is} the death of his faithful. BSB BSB: Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints.
16 ULT Indeed, Yahweh, for I{ am} your servant; I{ am} your servant, the son of your servant woman; you have undone my bonds. BSB BSB: Truly, O LORD, I am Your servant; I am Your servant, the son of Your maidservant; You have broken my bonds.
17 ULT I will sacrifice to you the sacrifice of thanksgiving and I will call on the name of Yahweh. BSB BSB: I will offer to You a sacrifice of thanksgiving and call on the name of the LORD.
18 ULT I will fulfill my vows to Yahweh right in front of all of his people, BSB BSB: I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all His people,
19 ULT in the courts of the house of Yahweh, in your midst, Jerusalem. Hallelu Yah! BSB BSB: in the courts of the LORD’s house, in your midst, O Jerusalem. Hallelujah!
