The Destroyers of Jerusalem Destroyed 1 ULT Behold, a day is coming for Yahweh, and your spoil will be divided in your midst. BSB BSB: Behold, a day of the LORD is coming when your plunder will be divided in your presence.
2 ULT “And I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem for the battle, and the city will be captured, and the houses will be plundered, and the women will be raped. And half of the city will go out into the exile, but the rest of the people will not be cut off from the city.” BSB BSB: For I will gather all the nations for battle against Jerusalem, and the city will be captured, the houses looted, and the women ravished. Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be removed from the city.
3 ULT And Yahweh will go out and will fight against those nations, like the day of his fighting on a day of battle. BSB BSB: Then the LORD will go out to fight against those nations, as He fights in the day of battle.
4 ULT And his feet will stand on that day on the Mount of Olives, which is on the face of Jerusalem from the east. And the Mount of Olives will be split from its half toward the east and toward the west, a very great valley. And half of the mountain will move away toward the north, and its half toward the south. BSB BSB: On that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half the mountain moving to the north and half to the south.
6 ULT And it will happen on that day, there will not be light; the splendid will congeal. BSB BSB: On that day there will be no light, no cold or frost.
7 ULT And it will be one day— it, it will be known to Yahweh— not day and not night. And it will happen, at the time of evening there will be light. BSB BSB: It will be a unique day known only to the LORD, without day or night; but when evening comes, there will be light.
8 ULT And it will happen on that day, living waters will go out from Jerusalem, half of them to the eastern sea and half of them to the western sea; it will happen in the summer and in the winter. BSB BSB: And on that day living water will flow out from Jerusalem, half of it toward the Eastern Sea and the other half toward the Western Sea, in summer and winter alike.
9 ULT And Yahweh will be as king over all the earth. On that day Yahweh will be one, and his name, one. BSB BSB: On that day the LORD will become King over all the earth—the LORD alone, and His name alone.
10 ULT All the land will turn like the Arabah from Geba to Rimmon, south of Jerusalem. But it will rise up and will dwell in its place from the Gate of Benjamin to the place of the First Gate, to the Gate of the Corners, and{ from} the Tower of Hananel to the winepresses of the king. BSB BSB: All the land from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem will be turned into a plain, but Jerusalem will be raised up and will remain in her place, from the Benjamin Gate to the site of the First Gate to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the royal winepresses.
11 ULT And they will dwell in it, and there will not again be destruction; and Jerusalem will dwell in security. BSB BSB: People will live there, and never again will there be an utter destruction. So Jerusalem will dwell securely.
12 ULT And this will be the plague with which Yahweh will strike all the peoples who waged war against Jerusalem: his flesh will rot away while he is standing on his feet, and his eyes will rot in their sockets, and his tongue will rot in their mouth. BSB BSB: And this will be the plague with which the LORD strikes all the peoples who have warred against Jerusalem: Their flesh will rot while they stand on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths.
13 ULT And it will happen on that day, a great tumult of Yahweh will be among them, and each man will seize the hand of his neighbor, and his hand will go up against the hand of his neighbor. BSB BSB: On that day a great panic from the LORD will come upon them, so that each will seize the hand of another, and the hand of one will rise against the other.
14 ULT And also Judah will fight at Jerusalem. And the wealth of all the nations around will be gathered— gold and silver and garments in very great abundance. BSB BSB: Judah will also fight at Jerusalem, and the wealth of all the surrounding nations will be collected—gold, silver, and apparel in great abundance.
15 ULT And thus will be the plague of the horse, the mule, the camel, and the donkey, and every beast that will be in those camps, like this plague. BSB BSB: And a similar plague will strike the horses and mules, camels and donkeys, and all the animals in those camps.
All Nations Will Worship the King (Leviticus 23:33–44; Nehemiah 8:13–18)
16 ULT And it will happen, everyone remaining from all the nations, the ones coming against Jerusalem, will go up as often as year by year to bow down to the King, Yahweh of Armies, and to celebrate the Festival of Booths. BSB BSB: Then all the survivors from the nations that came against Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the LORD of Hosts, and to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.
17 ULT And it will happen, whoever does not go up from the clans of the earth to Jerusalem to bow down to the King, Yahweh of Armies— on them there will not be the rain. BSB BSB: And should any of the families of the earth not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of Hosts, then the rain will not fall on them.
18 ULT And if the clan of Egypt does not go up and does not come, then not on them. There will be the plague with which Yahweh strikes the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Festival of Booths. BSB BSB: And if the people of Egypt will not go up and enter in, then the rain will not fall on them; this will be the plague with which the LORD strikes the nations who do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.
19 ULT This will be the sin of Egypt and the sin of all the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Festival of Booths. BSB BSB: This will be the punishment of Egypt and of all the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.
20 ULT On that day there will be on the bells of the horse,“Holy to Yahweh.” And the pots in the house of Yahweh will be like the bowls to the face of the altar. BSB BSB: On that day, HOLY TO THE LORD will be inscribed on the bells of the horses, and the cooking pots in the house of the LORD will be like the sprinkling bowls before the altar.
21 ULT And every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah will be holy to Yahweh of Armies, and all the ones sacrificing will come and will take from them and will boil in them. And there will not be a Canaanite again in the house of Yahweh of Armies on that day. BSB BSB: Indeed, every pot in Jerusalem and Judah will be holy to the LORD of Hosts, and all who sacrifice will come and take some pots and cook in them. And on that day there will no longer be a Canaanite in the house of the LORD of Hosts.
