1 UST A psalm. Sing to Yahweh a new song because he has done wonderful things! By being powerfully holy he has saved{ his people}. BSB BSB: A Psalm. Sing to the LORD a new song, for He has done wonders; His right hand and holy arm have gained Him the victory.
2 UST Yahweh has shown openly that he saves{ his people}; he has revealed to people all over the world that he always does what is right. BSB BSB: The LORD has proclaimed His salvation and revealed His righteousness to the nations.
3 UST He is always loyal to his covenant to be faithful to the Israelite people. Even the people who live in the most remote places of the earth will see that our God saves{ his people}. BSB BSB: He has remembered His love and faithfulness to the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
4 UST All you people everywhere should shout joyfully to Yahweh; praise him while you sing joyfully and make music! BSB BSB: Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth; break forth—let your cry ring out, and sing praises!
5 UST Play to Yahweh on a harp, and sing along as you play. BSB BSB: Sing praises to the LORD with the lyre, in melodious song with the harp.
6 UST { Some of you should} blow trumpets and ram’ s horns{ while others} shout joyfully to Yahweh, our king! BSB BSB: With trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn shout for joy before the LORD, the King.
7 UST The oceans and all{ the creatures} that are in the oceans should roar{ to praise Yahweh}. The earth itself and everyone on it should do the same! BSB BSB: Let the sea resound, and all that fills it, the world, and all who dwell in it.
8 UST It should seem as though the rivers were clapping their hands{ to praise Yahweh} and that the hills were singing together joyfully BSB BSB: Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing together for joy
9 UST before Yahweh because he will come to judge everyone on the earth! He will judge all the people in the world justly and fairly. BSB BSB: before the LORD, for He comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness and the peoples with equity.
