1. 1ULBFinalmente hermanos, les animamos y exhortamos en el Señor Jesús. Así como recibieron instrucciones de nosotros mismos sobre como deben caminar y agradar a Dios, así como están caminando, háganlo aún más.BSBBSB: Finally, brothers, we ask and encourage you in the Lord Jesus to live in a way that is pleasing to God, just as you have received from us. This is how you already live, so you should do so all the more.
2. 2ULBPorque ustedes conocen las instrucciones que les entregamos a través del Señor Jesús.BSBBSB: For you know the instructions we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus.
3. 3ULBÉsta es la voluntad de Dios: la santificación de ustedes, que se abstengan de inmoralidad sexual;BSBBSB: For it is God’s will that you should be holy: You must abstain from sexual immorality;
4. 4ULBque cada uno de ustedes sepa poseer a su propia esposa en santidad y honor.BSBBSB: each of you must know how to control his own body in holiness and honor,
5. 5ULBNo tengan a sus esposas en pasiones lujuriosas (como los gentiles que no conocen a Dios).BSBBSB: not in lustful passion like the Gentiles who do not know God;
6. 6ULBQue ningún hombre transgreda y haga el mal a su hermano en este asunto. Porque el Señor es vengativo en todas estas cosas, como también les advertimos y testificamos.BSBBSB: and no one should ever violate or exploit his brother in this regard, because the Lord will avenge all such acts, as we have already told you and solemnly warned you.
7. 7ULBDios no nos llamó a nosotros a impureza, sino a santidad.BSBBSB: For God has not called us to impurity, but to holiness.
8. 8ULBPor lo tanto, aquél que rechaza esto no rechaza a las personas, sino a Dios, quien entrega su Espíritu Santo a ustedes.BSBBSB: Anyone, then, who rejects this command does not reject man but God, the very One who gives you His Holy Spirit.
9. 9ULBRespecto al amor fraternal no tienen necesidad de que nadie les escriba a ustedes, porque ustedes mismos han sido enseñados por Dios a amarse unos a otros.BSBBSB: Now about brotherly love, you do not need anyone to write to you, because you yourselves have been taught by God to love one another.
10. 10ULBEn efecto, ustedes lo hacen con todos los hermanos que están en toda Macedonia. Pero nosotros le exhortamos a ustedes, hermanos, que lo hagan aún más.BSBBSB: And you are indeed showing this love to all the brothers throughout Macedonia. But we urge you, brothers, to excel more and more
11. 11ULBNosotros también les exhortamos a que aspiren vivir tranquilos, preocúpense de sus propios negocios y trabajen con sus manos, así como les ordenamos.BSBBSB: and to aspire to live quietly, to attend to your own matters, and to work with your own hands, as we instructed you.
12. 12ULBHagan esto para que puedan caminar propiamente en respeto con aquellos que están fuera de la fe, para que ustedes no tengan necesidad de nada.BSBBSB: Then you will behave properly toward outsiders, without being dependent on anyone.
13. 13ULBNosotros no queremos que malentiendan, hermanos, a cerca de los que duermen, para que ustedes no se entristezcan como el resto que no tienen certeza del futuro.BSBBSB: Brothers, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you will not grieve like the rest, who are without hope.
14. 14ULBPorque si creemos que Jesús murió y resucitó nuevamente, así Dios traerá con Jesús aquellos que han dormido en Él.BSBBSB: For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, we also believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him.
15. 15ULBNosotros les decimos esto por la palabra del Señor, que nosotros que estamos vivos, aquellos que quedan hasta la venida del Señor, seguramente no van a preceder aquellos que han dormido.BSBBSB: By the word of the Lord, we declare to you that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who have fallen asleep.
16. 16ULBEl Señor mismo descenderá del cielo. Él vendrá con un grito, con la voz del arcángel y con la trompeta de Dios, y los muertos en Cristo se levantarán primero.BSBBSB: For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will be the first to rise.
17. 17ULBEntonces nosotros los que estamos vivos, los que quedamos, estaremos junto a ellos, alcanzándolos en las nubes, para encontrarnos con el Señor en el aire. Para que estemos siempre con el Señor.BSBBSB: After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord.
18. 18ULBPor lo tanto, consuélense unos a otros con estas palabras.BSBBSB: Therefore encourage one another with these words.
