2 ULB Por lo tanto, el supervisor debe ser irreprochable. Él tiene que ser esposo de una esposa. Él tiene que ser moderado, sensible, ordenado, hospitalario. Él tiene que ser capaz de enseñar. BSB BSB: An overseer, then, must be above reproach, the husband of but one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,
3 ULB Él no debe ser adicto al vino, no debe ser un peleador, sino mas bien gentil, pasivo. Él no debe ser amante al dinero. BSB BSB: not dependent on wine, not violent but gentle, peaceable, and free of the love of money.
4 ULB Él debe manejar bien su propia casa y sus hijos deben obedecerlo con todo respeto. BSB BSB: An overseer must manage his own household well and keep his children under control, with complete dignity.
5 ULB Pues si un hombre no sabe manejar bien su propia casa, ¿cómo el podrá cuidar por la iglesia de Dios?. BSB BSB: For if someone does not know how to manage his own household, how can he care for the church of God?
6 ULB Él no debe de ser un recién convertido, para que así el no se llene de orgullo y caiga en condenación como el diablo. BSB BSB: He must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited and fall under the same condemnation as the devil.
7 ULB Él también debe tener una buena reputación con los de afuera, para que el no caiga en desgracia y en la trampa del diablo. BSB BSB: Furthermore, he must have a good reputation with outsiders, so that he will not fall into disgrace and into the snare of the devil.
8 ULB Diáconos, igualmente, deben ser dignos, no de doble palabras. Ellos no deben beber mucho vino o ser codicioso. BSB BSB: Deacons likewise must be dignified, not double-tongued or given to much wine or greedy for money.
9 ULB Ellos deben mantener la verdad revelada de la fe con una conciencia limpia. BSB BSB: They must hold to the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience.
10 ULB Ellos deben también ser aprobados primero, luego ellos deben servir porque ellos son irreprensibles. BSB BSB: Additionally, they must first be tested. Then, if they are above reproach, let them serve as deacons.
11 ULB Las mujeres de la misma manera deben ser dignas. Ellas no deben ser calumniadoras. Ellas deben ser moderadas y fieles en todas las cosas. BSB BSB: In the same way, the women must be dignified, not slanderers, but temperate and faithful in all things.
12 ULB Los diáconos deben ser esposos de una sola esposa. Ellos tienen que manejar bien sus hijos y su hogar. BSB BSB: A deacon must be the husband of but one wife, a good manager of his children and of his own household.
13 ULB Porque aquellos quienes han servido bien adquieren para sí mismo una posición honrosa y una gran confianza en la fe que es en Cristo Jesús. BSB BSB: For those who have served well as deacons acquire for themselves a high standing and great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus.
14 ULB Yo te escribo estas cosas a tí y espero llegar a tí pronto. BSB BSB: Although I hope to come to you soon, I am writing you these things
15 ULB Pero si yo me tardo, te escribo para que tu sepas como comportarse en la casa de Dios, la cual es la iglesia del Dios vivo, el pilar y el soporte de la verdad. BSB BSB: in case I am delayed, so that you will know how each one must conduct himself in God’s household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.
16 ULB Y es indiscutible que la verdad revelada de la piedad es grande: "Él apareció en la carne, fue justificado por el Espíritu, visto por los ángeles, fue proclamado entre las naciones, muchas personas en el mundo creyeron en Él y fue tomado en gloria" BSB BSB: By common confession, the mystery of godliness is great: He appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was proclaimed among the nations, was believed in throughout the world, was taken up in glory.
