1. 1GMVEሄ ዎዴ ሳናኦሬ ካዎይ ኣሚራፌሌይ፥ ኤላሳሬ ካዎይ ኣርዮኬይ፥ ኤላሜ ካዎይ ካዶርላኦሜሬይኔ ኣይዛቤ ካዎ ቲዲኣሌይ ኦይዳቲ፥BSBBSB: In those days Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goiim
2. 2GMVEሶዶሜ ካዎ ቤራኤራ፥ ጋሞራ ካዎ ቢርሻራ፥ ኣዳማ ካዎ ሺንኣቤራ፥ ጻቦይሜ ካዎ ሼሜቤሬይኔ (ዞኣሬ ጌቴቲዛ) ቤላ ካዎራ ኦሌታናስ ቢዳ።BSBBSB: went to war against Bera king of Sodom, Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (that is, Zoar).
3. 3GMVEሃ ኢቻሹ ካዎቲ ጋጊዲ ኢሲ ባጋ ጊዲዲ፥ (ሃይቆ ኣባ ጌቴቲዛ) ሲዲሜ ሾባን ሺቂዳ።BSBBSB: The latter five came as allies to the Valley of Siddim (that is, the Salt Sea).
4. 4GMVEኢስቲ ካሴ ታማኔ ናምኡ ላይꬅ ካዶርላኦሜሬስ ሃሬቲዳ፤ ጊዶ ኣቲን ታማኔ ሄꬓንꬆ ላይꬃን ኢዛ ቦላ ማካሊዳ።BSBBSB: For twelve years they had been subject to Chedorlaomer, but in the thirteenth year they rebelled.
5. 5GMVEታማኔ ኦይዳንꬆ ላይꬃን ካዶርላኦሜሬይኔ ኢዛራ ዙፔቲዳ ካዎቲ ባ ኦላንቻታ ኤኪ ቢዲ፥ ኣስታሮቴ-ቃርናይሜን ዲዛ ኤራፋይሜታ፥ ሃማን ዲዛ ዙዜታኔ ሻዌ-ቂሪያታይሜን ዲዛ ኤሚሜ ጌቴቲዛ ዴሬታ ኦሊዲ ጾኒዳ።BSBBSB: In the fourteenth year, Chedorlaomer and the kings allied with him went out and defeated the Rephaites in Ashteroth-karnaim, the Zuzites in Ham, the Emites in Shaveh-kiriathaim,
6. 6GMVEሆሬ ቢታ ኣሳታካ ሴይሬ ዙማ ቦላ ኦሊዲ ባዞ ኣቻን ዲዛ ኤልፓራኔ ጌቴቲዛሶ ጋካናስ ጎዲዳ።BSBBSB: and the Horites in the area of Mount Seir, as far as El-paran, which is near the desert.
7. 7GMVEሄሳፌ ጉዬ ሲሚዲ ኤን-ሚሺፓጼ ዪዳ። (ሃኢ ሄ ዴሬይ ቃዴሴ ጌቴቴስ።) ኢስቲ ኣማሌቄታ ቢታ ቃሴ ሃጻጾኔ ታማሬ ጌቴቲዛሶን ዲዛ ኣሞሬ ኣሳ ኡባ ኦሊዲ ጾኒዳ።BSBBSB: Then they turned back to invade En-mishpat (that is, Kadesh), and they conquered the whole territory of the Amalekites, as well as the Amorites who lived in Hazazon-tamar.
8. 8GMVEሄሳፌ ሲሚን፥ ሶዶሜ ካዎይ፥ ጋሞራ ካዎይ፥ ኣዳማ ካዎይ፥ ጻቦይሜ ካዎይኔ (ዞኣሬ ጌቴቲዛ) ቤላ ካዎይ ዴንዲዲ ሲዲሜ ሾባን ኦላስ ሳልፊዳ።BSBBSB: Then the king of Sodom, the king of Gomorrah, the king of Admah, the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (that is, Zoar) marched out and arrayed themselves for battle in the Valley of Siddim
9. 9GMVEሃይቲ ዉሪ ኤላሜ ካዎራ፥ ኣይዛቤታ ካዎራ፥ ሳናኦሬ ካዎራኔ ኤላሳሬ ካዎራ (ሃ ኢቻሹ ካዎቲ ኦይዱ ካዎታራ) ኦሌቲዳ።BSBBSB: against Chedorlaomer king of Elam, Tidal king of Goiim, Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar—four kings against five.
10. 10GMVEሄ ዎዴ ሲዲሜ ሾባን፥ ሺዳ ኦይኪዛ ዳሮ ኦላይ ዴስ። ሶዶሜ ካዎይኔ ጋሞራ ካዎይ ባ ኦላ ኣሳራ ኦላፔ ባቃቲሺን፥ ኢስታፌ ጉꬃቲ ሄ ኦላታን ኩንዲዳ፤ ጊዶ ኣቲን ኣቲዳይቲ ፑዴ ዙማ ቦላ ባቃቲዳ።BSBBSB: Now the Valley of Siddim was full of tar pits, and as the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, some men fell into the pits, but the survivors fled to the hill country.
11. 11GMVEኦይዱ ካዎቲ ሶዶሜኔ ጋሞራ ካታማታ ኣቆታኔ ሚዛ ካꬅ ኡባ ቦንቂ ኤኪ ቢዳ።BSBBSB: The four kings seized all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah and all their food, and they went on their way.
12. 12GMVEኣብራሜ ኢሻ ናይ ሎጼይ፥ ሶዶሜን ዲዛ ጊሻስ ኢዛካ ኢዛ ኣቆታካ ኡባ ኤኪ ቢዳ።BSBBSB: They also carried off Abram’s nephew Lot and his possessions, since Lot was living in Sodom.
13. 13GMVEሄሳፌ ጉዬ ኢሲ ኣሲ ኬሲ ኤኪዲ ባቃቲ ዪዲ ኢብራዌ ኣብራሜስ ሄሳ ዮቲዴስ፤ ኣብራሜይ ሄ ዎዴ ኤሽኮሌኔ ኣኔሬ ኢሻ ኣሞሬ ዴሬ ኣስ ማሚሬ ዎላ ኣቻን ዴስ፤ ኢስቲ ዉሪካ ኦላ ዛራናስ ኣብራሜራ ጫቄቲዳ።BSBBSB: Then an escapee came and reported this to Abram the Hebrew. Now Abram was living near the Oaks of Mamre the Amorite, a brother of Eshcol and Aner, all of whom were bound by treaty to Abram.
14. 14GMVEኣብራሜይ ባ ዳቦይ ዲኤቲዳይሳ ሲዪዳ ዎዴ ኦላ ኤሪዛ ባሶን ዬሌቲዳ ሄꬑ ጼታኔ ታማኔ ኦስፑን ኣሳ ዴንꬂዴስ፤ ሄ ኦይዱ ካዎታ ካሊዲ ዳኔ ጌቴቲዛ ካታማ ጋካናስ ቢዴስ።BSBBSB: And when Abram heard that his relative had been captured, he mobilized the 318 trained men born in his household, and they set out in pursuit as far as Dan.
15. 15GMVEሄን ኦማርሳን ባ ኣሳ ጩጋን ጩጋን ሻኪዲ፥ ባ ሞርኬታራ ኦሌቲዲ ጾኒዴስ፤ ሂስቲዲ ዳማስቆፌ ቦላ ባጋራ ዲዛ ሆቤ ጌቴቲዛሶ ጋካናስ ጎዲዴስ።BSBBSB: During the night, Abram divided his forces and routed Chedorlaomer’s army, pursuing them as far as Hobah, north of Damascus.
16. 16GMVEኣብራሜይካ ባ ዳቦ ሎጼኔ ኢዛ ኣቆታ ኡባ ካሴ ዲኤቲዳ ማጫሳኔ ሃራ ኣሳካ ዎꬂ ኤኪዴስ።BSBBSB: He retrieved all the goods, as well as his relative Lot and his possessions, together with the women and the rest of the people.
17. 17GMVEኣብራሜይ ካዶርላኦሜሬኔ ኢዛራ ዙፔቲዳ ካዎታ ጾኒዲ ሲሚዳፔ ጉዬ፥ ሶዶሜ ካዎይ፥ (ካዎታ ሾባ ጌቴቲዛ) ሻዌሃ ሾባን ኢዛ ሞካናስ ኬዚዴስ።BSBBSB: After Abram returned from defeating Chedorlaomer and the kings allied with him, the king of Sodom went out to meet him in the Valley of Shaveh (that is, the King’s Valley).
18. 18GMVEሄ ዎዴ፥ ሳሌሜ ካዎይ ማልኬጼዴቄይ ኡኬꬂኔ ዎይኔ ኡሹ ኤኪ ዪዴስ፤ ኢዚካ ኡባፌ ꬎቃ ጾሳ ቄሴ።BSBBSB: Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine—since he was priest of God Most High—
19. 19GMVEኢዚ ኣብራሜ ሂዝጊ ኣንጂዴስ፤ «ኡባፌ ꬎቃ ጾሲ ሳሎኔ ሳኣ ሜꬊዳይሲ ኣብራሜ ኣንጆ።BSBBSB: and he blessed Abram and said: “Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth,
20. 20GMVEቃሴ ኡባፌ ꬎቃ ጾሲ፥ ኔ ሞርኬታ ኔ ኩሼን ኣꬂ ኢሚዳይሲ ጋላቴቶ» ጊዴስ። ኣብራሜይ ኡባፌ ታማፌ ኢሲ ኩሼ ኬሲዲ ማልኬጼዴቄስ ኢሚዴስ።BSBBSB: and blessed be God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand.” Then Abram gave Melchizedek a tenth of everything.
21. 21GMVEሶዶሜ ካዎይ ኣብራሜ፥ «ታ ኣሳ ታስ ዛራዳ ኔ ዲኢዳ ሜሄዛ ኡባ ኔስ ኤካ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: The king of Sodom said to Abram, “Give me the people, but take the goods for yourself.”
22. 22GMVEጊዶ ኣቲን ኣብራሜይ ሶዶሜ ካዎ፥ «ታኒ ጎዳስ፥ ኡባፌ ꬎቃ ጾሳስ፥ ሳሎኔ ሳኣ ሜꬊዳይሳስ፥ ታ ኩሼ ዴንꬃዳ ጫቃይቻዲስ።BSBBSB: But Abram replied to the king of Sodom, “I have raised my hand to the LORD God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth,
23. 23GMVEታ ኣሳይ ሚዳይሳፌኔ ታናራ ቢዳ ኣኔሬ፥ ኤሽኮሌኔ ማሚሬ ጋኪዛይሳፌ ኣቲን ኔኒ፥ ‹ኣብራሜ ታኒ ዱሬሳዲስ ጎንታ ማላ ታኒ ኔይሳፌ ሃራይ ኣቶ ኢሲ ሚሽ ዎይኮ ጫማ ኪሬካ ታ ኤኪኬ፤ ኢስቲ ባና ጋኪዛይሳ ኤኬቶ› ጌስ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: that I will not accept even a thread, or a strap of a sandal, or anything that belongs to you, lest you should say, ‘I have made Abram rich.’
