1. 1GMVEሄሳፌ ጉዬ ጎዳ ቃላይ ኣጁታን ኣብራሜኮ ዪዲ፥ «ኣብራሜ፥ ባቦፋ! ታኒ ኔስ ጎንዳሌ፤ ኔ ኣንጆይ ኬሂ ጊታ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: After these events, the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision: “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.”
2. 2GMVEኣብራሜይ፥ «ኣቤት ኡባ ሃሪዛ ጎዳዉ! ታስ ሙሌካ ናይ ባይንዳ ጊሻስ ኔኒ ኢሚዛ ኢሞታይ ታስ ኣይሴ? ዳማስቆ ዴሬ ኣስ ኤልኤዜሬይ ታና ላታና» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: But Abram replied, “O Lord GOD, what can You give me, since I remain childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?”
3. 3GMVEቃሴካ ኣብራሜይ፥ «ኔኒ ታስ ኣይኮ ና ኢማቤካ፤ ሄሳ ጊሻስ ታሶን ዲዛ ኣይሌይ ታና ላታናስ ዴስ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: Abram continued, “Behold, You have given me no offspring, so a servant in my household will be my heir.”
4. 4GMVEጎዳ ቃላይ ኢዛኮ ዪዲ፥ «ሃይሲ ኣይሌይ ኔና ላቴና፤ ኔፔ ዬሌቲዳይ ኔና ላታና» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: Then the word of the LORD came to Abram, saying, “This one will not be your heir, but one who comes from your own body will be your heir.”
5. 5GMVEሄሳፌ ጉዬ ጎዳይ ኣብራሜ ካሬ ኬሲዲ፥ «ፑዴ ሳሎ ጼላ፤ ኔኒ ጾሊንቴታ ታይባናስ ዳንዳይኮ ታይባ፤ ኔ ዜሬꬃይካ ሃይሳ ማላ ጊዳና» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: And the LORD took him outside and said, “Now look to the heavens and count the stars, if you are able.” Then He told him, “So shall your offspring be.”
6. 6GMVEኣብራሜይካ ጎዳ ኣማኒዴስ፤ ኢዛ ኣማኖይካ ጺሎቴꬃን ቆዴቲዴስ።BSBBSB: Abram believed the LORD, and it was credited to him as righteousness.
7. 7GMVEቃሴካ ጎዳይ ኢዛ፥ «ኔ ሃይሳ ቢታ ላታና ማላ ታ ኔስ ኢማናስ ኡሬ ጌቴቲዛ ካላዳዌታ ካታማፔ ኔና ኬሳ ኤሂዳ ጎዳይ ታና ዲኪና?» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: The LORD also told him, “I am the LORD, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land to possess.”
8. 8GMVEጊዶ ኣቲን ኣብራሜይ ኢዛ፥ «ኣቤት ኡባ ሃሪዛ ጎዳዉ! ታኒ ሃይሳ ቢታ ላታናይሳ ኣዛን ኤሮ?» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: But Abram replied, “Lord GOD, how can I know that I will possess it?”
9. 9GMVEጎዳይካ ኢዛ፥ «ሄꬑ ላይꬃ ኡስ፥ ሄꬑ ላይꬃ ዴይሽ፥ ሄꬑ ላይꬃ ዶርሳ ላቃኔ ናምኡ ቆሞ ሃራጴታ ታስ ኤካ ያ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: And the LORD said to him, “Bring Me a heifer, a goat, and a ram, each three years old, along with a turtledove and a young pigeon.”
10. 10GMVEኢዚ ሄይታ ኡባታ ኢዛስ ኤኪ ኤፊ ሹኪዲ ጊዶን ናምኡ ናምኡ ኬሲ ሻኪዲ ኢሳ ኢሳ ጊናን ዎꬂዴስ፤ ጊዶ ኣቲን ካፎታ ናምኡ ኬሲቤና።BSBBSB: So Abram brought all these to Him, split each of them down the middle, and laid the halves opposite each other. The birds, however, he did not cut in half.
11. 11GMVEሄ ዎዴ ኣንኮ ካፎቲ ሄ ኣሾዛ ቦላ ኡቲን ኣብራሜይ ኢስታ ጎዲዴስ።BSBBSB: And the birds of prey descended on the carcasses, but Abram drove them away.
12. 12GMVEኣርሼይ ዉሊዛ ዎዴ ኣብራሜ ዎልቃማ ꬊስኮይ ኦይኪን ዳጋንꬂዛ ጊርዲ ጊዳ ꬉማይ ኢዛ ቦላ ꬉሚዴስ።BSBBSB: As the sun was setting, Abram fell into a deep sleep, and suddenly great terror and darkness overwhelmed him.
13. 13GMVEሂስቲን ጎዳይ ኢዛስ፥ «ኔ ዜሬꬃይ ሃራ ቢታን ቤቴ ጊዲ ዳናይሳ ኔኒ ቱማፔ ኤራ፤ ኢስቲ ኣይሌቲዲ 400 ላይꬅ ዬꬌቲ ሃሬታና።BSBBSB: Then the LORD said to Abram, “Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not their own, and they will be enslaved and mistreated four hundred years.
14. 14GMVEኣይሌሲዲ ኢስታ ሃሪዛ ካዎቴꬃ ታ ቃጻያና፤ ሄሳፌ ጉዬ ኢስቲ ዳሮ ኣቆራ ሄ ቢታፌ ኬዛና።BSBBSB: But I will judge the nation they serve as slaves, and afterward they will depart with many possessions.
15. 15GMVEኔኒ ጊዲኮ ኔ ኣዋታኮ ሳሮን ባና፤ ኔ ኬሃ ጪማዳ ሃይቃናኔ ሞጌታና።BSBBSB: You, however, will go to your fathers in peace and be buried at a ripe old age.
16. 16GMVEኦይዳንꬆ ዬሌታን ኔ ዜሬꬃይ ሃ ቢታ ሲማና፤ ኣይስ ጊኮ ኣሞሬ ዴሬ ኣሳ ናጋራይ ቡሮ ኩሞንታ ጊሻሳ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: In the fourth generation your descendants will return here, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete.”
17. 17GMVEኣርሼይ ዉሊን ጋዴይ ꬉሚዳፔ ጉዬ ጮጬ ታማ ላጮይኔ ጩዋይ ቤቲዲ ሄ ናምኡ ናምኡ ኬዚ ሻኬቲዳ ኣሾታ ጊዶራ ካንꬂዴስ።BSBBSB: When the sun had set and darkness had fallen, behold, a smoking firepot and a flaming torch appeared and passed between the halves of the carcasses.
18. 18GMVEሄ ጋላስ ጎዳይ ኣብራሜስ፥ «ጊብጼ ሻፋፔ ዶሚዲ ኤፊራጺሴ ጌቴቲዛ ጊታ ሻፋ ጋካናስ ሃ ቢታ ታኒ ኔ ዜሬꬃስ ኢማዲስ።BSBBSB: On that day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, “To your descendants I have given this land—from the river of Egypt to the great River Euphrates—
19. 19GMVEሄይቲካ ቄናዌታ፥ ቄናዜታ፥ ቃዲሞኔታ፥ ሂቴታ፥ ፓሪዜታ፥ ኤራፋይሜታ፥ ኣሞሬታ፥ ካናኔታ፥ ጌርጌሴታኔ ያቡሴታ ቢታ» ጊ ጫቂዴስ።BSBBSB: the land of the Kenites, Kenizzites, Kadmonites,
