1. 1GMVEሃኖ ቢታይ ቦላ ዲዛ ኣሳ ኡባ ቦላ ጎዳይ ሺሺዛ ሞቶይ ዴስ። ሄሳ ጊሻስ ኢስራኤሌ ኣሳዉ! ኢዚ ኢንቴና ጊዛይሳ ሲዪቴ፤ «ሃኖ ቢታይ ቦላፌ ኣማኔቴꬃይ፥ ሲቆይኔ ጾስ ኤሮይ ꬋይዴስ።BSBBSB: Hear the word of the LORD, O children of Israel, for the LORD has a case against the people of the land: “There is no truth, no loving devotion, and no knowledge of God in the land!
2. 2GMVEሃን ዲዛይ ቃንጌꬅ፥ ዎርዶ፥ ሼምፖ ዎꬎ፥ ላይማቴꬂኔ ጫቂዳ ቃላ ሙሲ ጻላ ዴስ። ጌኔይኔ ሼምፖ ዎꬎይ ዳሪ ዳሪ ቤስ።BSBBSB: Cursing and lying, murder and stealing, and adultery are rampant; one act of bloodshed follows another.
3. 3GMVEሄሳ ጋሶን ቢታይ ቦላ ኮሻይ ዬስ፤ ኢዚ ቦላ ዲዛይ ዉሪ ጊልቄስ፤ ሜሄቲ፥ ዶኣቲ፥ ካፎቲኔ ኣባ ጊዶን ዲዛ ሞሌቲ ኡባይ ዉሬቴስ።»BSBBSB: Therefore the land mourns, and all who dwell in it will waste away with the beasts of the field and the birds of the air; even the fish of the sea disappear.
4. 4GMVEጎዳይ፥ «ኢንቴኖ ቄሴቶ ታ ኢንቴና ሞቲዛ ሚሺ ዴስ፤ ሄሳ ጊሻስ ኦኒካ ሃራ ኣሳራ ፓላሜቶፎ፤ ቃሴ ኦኒካ ሃራ ኣስ ሞቶፖ።BSBBSB: But let no man contend; let no man offer reproof; for your people are like those who contend with a priest.
5. 5GMVEኢንቴ ኦማርሲኔ ጋላስ ꬉጴቴታ፤ ናቤቲካ ኢንቴናራ ꬉጴቴቴስ። ሄሳ ጊሻስ ታኒ ኢንቴ ኣዮ ኢስራኤሌ ꬋይሳና።BSBBSB: You will stumble by day, and the prophet will stumble with you by night; so I will destroy your mother—
6. 6GMVEታ ዴሬዛስ ኤራቴꬂ ፓጪዳ ጊሻስ ꬋይዴስ። ኢንቴ ታና ኤራናስ ኮዮንታ ጊሻስ ታኒካ ኢንቴ ታስ ቄሴታ ጊዲ ኦꬃና ማላ ኮይኬ። ኢንቴ ታ ዎጋ ባሌቲዳ ጊሻስ ታኒካ ኢንቴ ናይታ ባላና።BSBBSB: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you as My priests. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.
7. 7GMVEቄሴታ ቆዳይ ዳሪ ዳሪ ቢሺን ኢስቲ ታ ቦላ ኦꬂዳ ናጋራይ ዳሪ ዳሪ ቢዴስ፤ ባንታ ቦንቾካ ካዉሻን ላሚዳ።BSBBSB: The more they multiplied, the more they sinned against Me; they exchanged their Glory for a thing of disgrace.
8. 8GMVEታ ዴሬዛ ናጋራይ ኢስታስ ሙሳስ ኪዪዴስ፤ ሄሳ ጊሻስ ዴሬይ ናጋራ ኦꬂዛይሳ ኬሂ ዶሲዳ።BSBBSB: They feed on the sins of My people and set their hearts on iniquity.
9. 9GMVEኢንቴ ቄሴቲካ ዴራፔ ዱማቴኬታ፤ ሄሳ ጊሻስ ታ ኡባካ ኢዛዴ ሃኖ ማላ ኢዛ ቃጻያና፤ ኢዛ ኦሶ ማላካ ኢዛስ ኢማና።BSBBSB: And it shall be like people, like priest. I will punish both of them for their ways and repay them for their deeds.
10. 10GMVEታ ዴሬይ ታና ጎዳ ኣጊዳ ጊሻስ ኢስቲ ማናሺን ካሌቴና፤ ላይማታናሺን ጮራቴቴና» ጌስ።BSBBSB: They will eat but not be satisfied; they will be promiscuous but not multiply. For they have abandoned the LORD to give themselves
11. 11GMVE«ላይማቴꬃስ፥ ጫሊዳ ዎይኔ ኡሻስ፥ ማልኦ ዎይኔ ኡሻ ሱኬስ ባንታና ኣꬂ ኢሚዳ፤ ሄሳንቲ ታ ዴሬዛ ዎዚና ኤኪዳ።BSBBSB: to promiscuity, wine, and new wine, which take away understanding.
12. 12GMVEሄሳ ጊሻስ ሚꬃፌ ኦሴቲዳ ኤቃ ጾሳ ዞሬ ኦይቼቴስ፤ ኢስቲ ኢዛን ማሮꬂዛ ጉፌዚካ ኢስታስ ዛሮ ኢሚዛ ሚሳቴስ፤ ላይማቴꬃ ቆፋይ ባሌꬂዴስ፤ ባንታ ጾሳስ ኣማኔቲቤቴና።BSBBSB: My people consult their wooden idols, and their divining rods inform them. For a spirit of prostitution leads them astray and they have played the harlot against their God.
13. 13GMVEዙማይ ዲዛሶን ዲዛሶን ያርሾ ያርሼቴስ፤ ዙምቡላታ ቦላ፥ ጊታ ዳሻ ሚꬃታ ኩዋ ጋርሳን ጹጌቲዛ ያርሾ ያርሼቴስ። ሄሳ ጋሶን ኢንቴ ማጫ ናይቲ ላይማን ዳና፤ ኢንቴ ናይታ ማቼቲ ላይማታና።BSBBSB: They sacrifice on the mountaintops and burn offerings on the hills, under oak, poplar, and terebinth, because their shade is pleasant. And so your daughters turn to prostitution and your daughters-in-law to adultery.
14. 14GMVEኢንቴ ማጫ ናይቲኔ ኢንቴ ናይታ ማቼቲ ላይማቲሺን ታኒ ኢስታ ቃጻይኬ፤ ጋሶይካ ኢንቴ ኣቱማሳቲ ላይማ ማጫሳታራ ሱኬቴቴስ፤ ኤቃ ጾሳታስ ላይማቴꬃ ያርሾ ሺሺዛይታራ ኢንቴካ ኢዛꬆ ያርሼታ። ሄሳ ጊሻስ ኣኬካይ ባይንዳ ዴሬይ ꬋያና።BSBBSB: I will not punish your daughters when they prostitute themselves, nor your daughters-in-law when they commit adultery. For the men themselves go off with prostitutes and offer sacrifices with shrine prostitutes. So a people without understanding will come to ruin.
15. 15GMVE«ኢንቴኖ ኢስራኤሌ ኣሳቶ! ኢንቴ ላይማቲኮካ ዩሁዳ ኣሳይ ላይማታና ማላ ኦꬆፍቴ፤ ሄሳ ጊሻስ ታስ ጎይናናስ ጌልጌላ ዎይኮ ቤቲ-ኣዌኔ ጌቴቲዛሶ ቦፒቴ፤ ‹ዴኦ ጎዳይ ቤዪን› ጊዲ ታ ሱንꬃን ጫቆፍቴ።BSBBSB: Though you prostitute yourself, O Israel, may Judah avoid such guilt! Do not journey to Gilgal, do not go up to Beth-aven, and do not swear on oath, ‘As surely as the LORD lives!’
16. 16GMVEኢስራኤሌ ዴሬይ ማካላንቻ ኡሳ ማላ ማካሊዴስ፤ ሂስቲን ጎዳይ ኢስታ ዶርሳ ላቃታ ማላ ሎኦሶን ዎስቲ ሄማኔ?BSBBSB: For Israel is as obstinate as a stubborn heifer. Can the LORD now shepherd them like lambs in an open meadow?
17. 17GMVEኤፍሬሜይ ኤቃ ጾሳታ ጎይኖን ኦይኬቲዳ ጊሻስ ኢስታ ጌዴ ኣጋጊቴ።BSBBSB: Ephraim is joined to idols; leave him alone!
18. 18GMVEዎይኔ ኡሹ ኡዪዳፔ ጉዬ ላይማቴቴስ። ኢስታ ኣይሲዛይቲካ ዬላቺዛ ሚሽ ዶሴቴስ።BSBBSB: When their liquor is gone, they turn to prostitution; their rulers dearly love disgrace.
19. 19GMVEኢስታ ጎቴ ጫርኮይ ፒቲ ኤፋና፤ ኢስታ ያርሾይ ኢስታ ቦላ ዬላ ኤሃና።BSBBSB: The whirlwind has wrapped them in its wings, and their sacrifices will bring them shame.
