1ሄ ዎዴ ዬሱሲ ዮሃኒሳፔ ቦላራ ዳሮ ኣሳ ባና ካሊዛዴ ኦꬂዛይሳኔ ጻማቂዛይሳ ፋርሳዌቲ ሲዪዳ።When Jesus realized that the Pharisees were aware He was gaining and baptizing more disciples than John

2ጊዶ ኣቲን ጻማቂዛይቲ ኢዛ ካሊዛይታፔ ኣቲን ኢዚ ጻማቂቤና።(although it was not Jesus who baptized, but His disciples),

3ኢዛ ጊሻስ ሃሳዬቲዛይሳ ፋርሳዌቲ ሲዪዳይሳ ዬሱሲ ኤሪዲ ዩሁዳ ዴሬ ኣጊዲ ጋሊላ ዴሬ ሲሚ ቢዴስ።He left Judea and returned to Galilee.

4ኢዚ ሄ ቢሺን ሳማሪያራ ኣꬊ ባናይሲ ኢዛስ ኣቶንታዝ ጊዲዴስ።Now He had to pass through Samaria.

5ሄሳ ጊሻስ ሲካሮ ጌቴቲዛሶ ሳማሪያ ካታማ ቢዴስ። ሲካራ ያቆቤይ ባ ና ዮሴፌስ ኢሚዳ ቢታ ኣቻን ዳዉስ።So He came to a town of Samaria called Sychar, near the plot of ground that Jacob had given to his son Joseph.

6ሄንካ ያቆቤ ሃꬃ ኦላይ ዴስ። ዬሱሲ ኦጌ ሄሜቲ ዳቡርዳ ጊሻስ ሄ ኦላይ ኣቻን ኡቲዴስ። ዎዴይካ ጋላሳፌ ኡሱፑን ሳቴ ማላ።Since Jacob’s well was there, Jesus, weary from His journey, sat down by the well. It was about the sixth hour.

7ሄ ዎዴ ኢሲ ሳማሪያ ዴሬ ማጫስ ዲዛራ ሃꬄ ዱቃናስ ሄ ሃꬃ ኦላኮ ያዱስ። ዬሱሲካ ኢዞ፥ «ታና ሃꬄ ኡሻ» ጊዴስ።When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Give Me a drink.”

8ሄሲ ሃኒሺን ዬሱሳ ካሊዛይቲ ቁማ ሻማና ካታማ ቢዳ።(His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.)

9ሂና ሳማሪያ ማጫሳያ ዬሱሳ፥ «ኔ ኣይሁዳ ኣስ ጊዳ ኡታዳ ዋናዳ ታና ሳማሪያ ማጫስ፥ ‹ሃꬄ ኡሻ› ጋ ኦይቻይ?» ጋዱስ፤ ኢዛ ሄሳ ጊዳይ ኣይሁዳ ኣሳሲኔ ሳማሪያ ኣሳስ ጋጎቴꬂ ዶንታ ጊሻሳ።“You are a Jew,” said the woman. “How can You ask for a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.)

10ዬሱሲካ ኢዚስ፥ «ጾሳ ኢሞታይኔ ኔና፥ ‹ታና ሃꬄ ኡሻ› ጊዛዴይ ኢዚ ኦናኮኔ ኔ ኤሪዛኮ ኔ ኢዛ ዎሳናስ ቤሴስ። ኢዚካ ኔስ ዴኦ ሃꬄ ኢማናኮሺን» ጊዴስ።Jesus answered, “If you knew the gift of God and who is asking you for a drink, you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”

11ኢዛካ ኢዛስ፥ «ጎዶ! ኔስ ሃꬄ ዱቂዛ ሚሺ ዴና፤ ሃꬃ ኦላይካ ዳሮ ጪማ፤ ሂስቲን ኔ ዴኦ ሃꬅ ኣዋፔ ዴማኔ?“Sir,” the woman replied, “You have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where then will You get this living water?

12ኔ ሃይሳ ሃꬃ ኦላዛ ኑስ ኢሚዳ ኑ ኣዋ ያቆቤፔ ኣꬋይ? ኢዚኔ ኢዛ ናይቲ ኢዛ ሜሄቲካ ሃይሳ ሃ ኦላፌ ሃꬅ ኡዪዳ» ጋዱስ።Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us this well and drank from it himself, as did his sons and his livestock?”

13ዬሱሲ ኢዚስ፥ «ሃይሳ ሃ ሃꬃፌ ኡዪዛይ ዉሪ ናምኣንꬆ ሳሜቲዲ ዛሪ ሃራ ኡያናሺን።Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again.

14ታ ኢሚዛ ሃꬄ ኡዪዛዴይ ጊዲኮ ሜርናስ ሙሌካ ሳሜቴና፤ ጋሶይካ ታ ኢሚዛ ሃꬅ ኡዪዛዴስ ሜርና ዴኦስ ፑልቲዛ ፑልቶ ሃꬄ ጊዳና» ጊዴስ።But whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a fount of water springing up to eternal life.”

15ማጫሳያካ፥ «ጎዶ! ሃይሳፌ ጉዬ ታና ሃꬂ ሳሞንታ ማላኔ ቃሴካ ታ ሃꬄ ዱቃና ሃ ዮንታ ማላ ሄሳ ኔ ጊዛ ሃꬃ ማላ ሃꬄ ታስ ኢማርኪ?» ጋዱስ።The woman said to Him, “Sir, give me this water so that I will not get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.”

16ዬሱሲካ ኢዞ፥ «ባዳ ኔ ኣዚና ጼይጋ ኤካዳ ያ» ጊዴስ።Jesus told her, “Go, call your husband and come back.”

17ማጫሳያካ ዛራዳ፥ «ታስ ኣዚናይ ዴና» ጋዱስ፤ ኢዛ ሂዝጊን ዬሱሲ፥ « ‹ኔ ታስ ኣዚናይ ዴና› ጉሳይ ቱሙኮ።“I have no husband,” the woman replied. Jesus said to her, “You are correct to say that you have no husband.

18ጋሶይካ ካሴ ኔስ ኢቻሹ ኣዚናቲ ዴቴስ፤ ቃሴ ሃኢ ኔናራ ዲዛይሲ ኔ ኣዚና ጊዴና፤ ሄሳ ጊሻስ ኔ ቱሙ ጋዳሳ» ጊዴስ።In fact, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. You have spoken truthfully.”

19ማጫሳያ ኢዛስ፥ «ጎዶ! ኔኒ ናቤ ጊዲዳይሳ ታ ሃኢ ኤራዲስ።“Sir,” the woman said, “I see that You are a prophet.

20ካሴ ኑ ኣዋቲ ሃይሳ ዙማ ቦላ ጎይኒዳ፤ ኢንቴ ቃሴ፥ ‹ኣሳይ ጎይናናስ ቤሲዛሶይ ዬሩሳላሜንኮ!› ጌታ» ጋዱስ።Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews say that the place where one must worship is in Jerusalem.”

21ዬሱሲካ ኢዚስ፥ «ሃኔ ማጫሳዬ፥ ጾሳ ኣዋስ ሃይሳ ዙማ ቦላ ዎይኮ ዬሩሳላሜን ኢንቴ ጎይኖንታ ዎዴይ ያናይሳ ኣማና።“Believe Me, woman,” Jesus replied, “a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.

22ኢንቴ ኢንቴ ኤሮንታ ጾሳስ ጎይኔታ፤ ኑ ጊዲኮ ኣሳስ ኣቶቴꬂ ኣይሁዳፔ ጊዲዳ ጊሻስ ኑኒ ኑ ኤሪዛ ጾሳስ ጎይኖስ።You worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews.

23ጊዶ ኣቲን ቱሙ ጎይኒዛይቲ ጾሳ ኣዋስ ኣያናኒኔ ቱማን ጎይኒዛ ዎዴይ ቡሮ ያና፤ ሃራይ ኣቶሺን ሃኢካ ዪዴስ። ጾሳይ ኣዋይካ ኮይዛይ ሄሳ ማላ ጎይኒዛይታ።But a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father is seeking such as these to worship Him.

24ጾሲ ባ ሁኤስ ኣያና፤ ኢዛ ጎይኒዛይቲ ኣያናኒኔ ቱማን ጎይናናስ ቤሴስ» ጊዴስ።God is Spirit, and His worshipers must worship Him in spirit and in truth.”

25ማጫሳያካ፥ «ኪርስቶሲ ያናይሳ ታ ኤራይስ፤ ኢዚ ዪዲ ሃኒዛዝ ኡባ ኑስ ዮታና» ጋዱስ።The woman said, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming. When He comes, He will explain everything to us.”

26ዬሱሲካ ኢዚስ፥ «ሃኢ ኔናራ ሃሳይዛይ ታ ኢዛ» ጊዴስ።Jesus answered, “I who speak to you am He.”

27ሄሲ ሃኒሺን ኢዛ ካሊዛይቲ ባ ቢዳሶፔ ሲሚዳ። ዬሱሲ ማጫሳራ ሃሳይዛይሳ ማላሌቲዳ፤ ጊዶ ኣቲን፥ «ሃኔ ኣይ ኮያይ? ዎይኮ ሃኒራ ኣዛስ ሃሳያይ?» ጊዲ ኦኒካ ኦይቺቤና።Just then His disciples returned and were surprised that He was speaking with a woman. But no one asked Him, “What do You want from her?” or “Why are You talking with her?”

28ሄሳፌ ጉዬ ማጫሳያ ኦቶዛ ሄን ኣጋጋዳ ጌዴ ካታማ ባዳ ኣሳስ፥Then the woman left her water jar, went back into the town, and said to the people,

29«ታ ኦꬂዳዝ ዉርሲ ታስ ዮቲዳዴ ሃ ዪዲ ቤኢቴ፤ ኦኔ ኤሪዛይ ጾሲ ቲይዳ ኪርስቶሲ ኢዛኮኔ!» ጋዱስ።“Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Christ?”

30ኣሳይካ ካታማፔ ኬዚዲ ዬሱሳኮ ቢዴስ።So they left the town and made their way toward Jesus.

31ሄ ዎዴ ዬሱሳ ካሊዛይቲ ዬሱሳ፥ «ኣስታማሬ! ቁማ ማ» ጊዲ ዎሲዳ።Meanwhile the disciples urged Him, “Rabbi, eat something.”

32ኢዚ ቃሴ፥ «ኢንቴ ኤሮንታይ ታ ሚዛ ቁማይ ታስ ዴስ» ጊዴስ።But He told them, “I have food to eat that you know nothing about.”

33ሄሳ ጊሻስ ኢዛ ካሊዛይቲ፥ «ኣይኮ ሚዛ ካꬅ ኣሲ ኢዛስ ኤሂዴሻ?» ጊዲ ባ ጊዶን ሃሳዬቲዳSo the disciples asked one another, “Could someone have brought Him food?”

34ዬሱሲካ ኢስታስ ዛሪዲ፥ «ታ ቁማይ ታና ኪቲዳ ታ ኣዋ ሼኔ ኦሶኔ ኢዛ ኦሶ ፖሎ።Jesus explained, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to finish His work.

35ኢንቴ ቃሴ፥ ‹ካꬃ ማጻይ ጋካናስ ቡሮ ኦይዱ ኣጊናይ ኣቲዴስ› ጌታ ጊዴኬቲ? ቃሴ ታኒ ጊዲኮ ኢንቴና፥ ‹ꬎቁ ጊዲ ካꬃይ ማጻ ጋኪዳይሳ ጼሊቴ› ጋይስ።Do you not say, ‘There are still four months until the harvest’? I tell you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are ripe for harvest.

36ማጺዛዴይ ባ ዳሞዛ ኤካና፤ ሜርናስ ጊዲዛ ኣይፌ ሺሻና፤ ሄሳ ጊሻስ ዜሪዛዴይኔ ማጺዛዴይ ኢሲፌ ኡፋዬታና።Already the reaper draws his wages and gathers a crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may rejoice together.

37ሄሳ ጊሻስ ኢሳዴይ ዜራና፤ ሃራ ኣሲ ማጻና ጌቴቲዛ ሌሚሶይ ቱማ።For in this case the saying ‘One sows and another reaps’ is true.

38ታ ኢንቴና ኢንቴ ዳቡሮንታይሳ ማጻና ማላ ዬዳዲስ፤ ሃራቲ ኦሶን ዳቡርዳ፤ ጊዶ ኣቲን ኢንቴ ኢስታ ዳቡርሳን ጎኤቲዴታ» ጊዴስ።I sent you to reap what you have not worked for; others have done the hard work, and now you have taken up their labor.”

39ማጫሳያ፥ «ታ ኦꬂዳዝ ኡባ ታስ ኢዚ ዮቲዴስ» ጋዳ ኣሳስ ማርካቲዳ ማላ ካታማፔ ዳሮ ሳማሪያ ኣሳይ ኢዛን ኣማኒዴስ።Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in Jesus because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.”

40ሄሳ ጊሻስ ሳማሪያ ኣሳይ ዬሱሳኮ ዪዲ ኢዚ ኢስታኮን ጋምኣና ማላ ዎሲዴስ፤ ኢዚካ ናምኡ ጋላስ ሄን ጋምኢዴስ።So when the Samaritans came to Him, they asked Him to stay with them, and He stayed two days.

41ኢዛ ቃላ ሲዪዲ ዳሮ ኣሳይ ኢዛ ኣማኒዴስ።And many more believed because of His message.

42ማጫሳዮካ፥ «ሃኢ ኑ ኢዛ ኣማኒዛይ ኔ ዮቲዳ ቃላ ጊሻስ ጻላ ጊዶንታ ኑኒካ ኑ ባጋራ ኢዛፔ ሲዪዳ ጊሻሲኔ ቱማፔ ኢዚ ዴሬ ኣሺዛዴ ጊዲዳይሳ ኤሪዳ ጊሻሳ» ጊዳ።They said to the woman, “We now believe not only because of your words; we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man truly is the Savior of the world.”

43ዬሱሲ ሳማሪያን ናምኡ ጋላስ ጋምኢዳፔ ጉዬ ጋሊላ ቢዴስ።After two days, Jesus left for Galilee.

44ኢዚ ባ ባጋራ፥ «ናቤይ ባ ዴሬን ቦንቼቴና» ጊ ዮቲዴስ።Now He Himself had testified that a prophet has no honor in his own hometown.

45ጊዶ ኣቲን ኢዚ ጋሊላ ቢን ጋሊላ ኣሳይ ኢዛ ሎኤꬂ ሞኪ ኤኪዴስ፤ ጋሶይካ ፓዚጋ ባኣሌ ቦንቻና ዬሩሳላሜ ቢዳሶን ሄን ዲሺን ኢዚ ኦꬂዳይሳ ዉርሲ ቤኢዳ ጊሻሳ።Yet when He arrived, the Galileans welcomed Him. They had seen all the great things He had done in Jerusalem at the feast, for they had gone there as well.

46ሄሳፌ ጉዬ ዬሱሲ ሃꬄ ዎይኔ ጫጄ ኦꬂዳ ጋሊላ ዴሬ ጊዶን ዲዛ ቃና ጌቴቲዛ ካታማ ናምኣንꬆ ቢዴስ። ሄ ዎዴ ቂፊርናሆሜን ኢዛስ ናይ ሳኬቲዳ ኢሲ ካዎ ሹሜይ ዴስ።So once again He came to Cana in Galilee, where He had turned the water into wine. And there was a royal official whose son lay sick at Capernaum.

47ኢዚካ ዬሱሲ ዩሁዳ ዴሬፔ ጌዴ ጋሊላ ዪዳይሳ ሲዪዲ ዬሱሳኮ ቢዴስ። ዬሱሲ ዱጌ ቂፊርናሆሜ ዎꬋና ማላኔ ዳሮ ሳኬቲዲ ሃይቃና ጊዛ ናዛ ፓꬃና ማላ ዬሱሳ ዎሲዴስ።When he heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee, he went and begged Him to come down and heal his son, who was about to die.

48ዬሱሲካ ኢዛስ፥ «ኢንቴ ጊታ ማላታታኔ ማላሊሲዛዝ ቤኦንታ ኣይኮካ ኣማኔኬታ» ጊዴስ።Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will never believe.”

49ሹሜዚካ ዛሪዲ፥ «ጎዶ! ታ ናዚ ሃይቆንታ ኤሌላ ዎꬋርኪ!» ጊዴስ።“Sir,” the official said, “come down before my child dies.”

50ዬሱሲካ ኢዛ፥ «ኔኒ ኔሶ ባ! ናዚ ፓጺዴስ» ጊዴስ፤ ኣዴዚካ ዬሱሲ ኢዛስ ዮቲዳ ቃላ ኣማኒዲ ሶ ሲሚ ቢዴስ።“Go,” said Jesus. “Your son will live.” The man took Jesus at His word and departed.

51ኢዚ ሶ ቢሺን ኢዛ ኣሽካራቲ ኢዛራ ኦጌን ጋጊዲ፥ «ኔ ናዚ ፓጺዴስ» ጊዲ ኢዛስ ዮቲዳ።And while he was still on the way, his servants met him with the news that his boy was alive.

52ሹሜዚካ ናዚ ኣይ ሳቴን ፓጺዳኮ ኢስታ ዛሪ ኦይቺዴስ። ኢስቲካ ኢዛስ፥ «ቃማ ጋላሳፌ ላፑን ሳቴን ኢዛ ሚቺዛይሲ ኣጊዴስ» ጊዳ።So he inquired as to the hour when his son had recovered, and they told him, “The fever left him yesterday at the seventh hour.”

53ናዛ ኣዋይካ ዬሱሲ፥ «ኔ ናዚ ፓጺዴስ» ጊዳይ ሄ ኢስቲ ኢዛስ ዮቲዛ ዎዴ ጊዲዳይሳ ኤሪዴስ። ሄሳ ጊሻስ ሄ ጋላሳፌ ኦይኪዲ ኢዚኔ ኢዛሶ ኣሳይ ዉሪ ዬሱሳ ኣማኒዳ።Then the father realized that this was the very hour in which Jesus had told him, “Your son will live.” And he and all his household believed.

54ሃይሲ ማላታይ ዬሱሲ ዩሁዳፔ ጋሊላ ዪዲ ኦꬂዳ ናምኣንꬆ ማላታ።This was now the second sign that Jesus performed after coming from Judea into Galilee.
