1. 1GMVEፋርሳዌታ ባጋ ኣስ ኣይሁዳታ ሃላቃታፔ ኢሲ ኒቆዲሞሳ ጌቴቲዛ ኣሲ ዴስ።BSBBSB: Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a leader of the Jews.
2. 2GMVEኢዚ ቃማራ ዬሱሳኮ ቢዲ፥ «ኣስታማሬ! ጾሲ ኢዛራ ዲዛዴ ጊዲኮፌ ኣቲን ሃይታ ኔ ኦꬂዛ ማላሊሲዛ ማላታታ ኦꬃና ዳንዳይዛዴይ ዴና፤ ሄሳ ጊሻስ ኔኒ ጾሳ ኣቻፌ ዪዳ ኣስታማሬ ጊዲዳይሳ ኑ ኤሮስ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs You are doing if God were not with him.”
3. 3GMVEዬሱሲካ ኢዛስ ዛሪዲ፥ «ታ ኔስ ቱሙ ጋይስ፤ ኣሲ ናምኣንꬆ ዬሌቶንታ ኣጊኮ ጾሳ ካዎቴꬅ ቤያናስ ዳንዳዬና» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”
4. 4GMVEኒቆዲሞሲካ ዛሪዲ፥ «ሂስቲን ኣሲ ጪሚዳፔ ጉዬ ዋኒዲ ናምኣንꬆ ዬሌታና ዳንዳይዜ? ቃሴካ ባ ኣዪ ኡሎን ሲሚ ጌሊዲ ዬሌታኔ?» ጊዲ ኦይቺዴስ።BSBBSB: “How can a man be born when he is old?” Nicodemus asked. “Can he enter his mother’s womb a second time to be born?”
5. 5GMVEዬሱሲካ ኢዛስ፥ «ታ ኔስ ቱሙ ጋይስ፤ ኣሲ ሃꬃፌኔ ጺሎ ኣያናፔ ዬሌቶንታ ዲሼ ጾሳ ካዎቴꬅ ጌላናስ ዳንዳዬና።BSBBSB: Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.
6. 6GMVEኣሳፔ ዬሌቲዳይ ኣሳ፤ ኣያናፔ ዬሌቲዳይ ኣያና።BSBBSB: Flesh is born of flesh, but spirit is born of the Spirit.
7. 7GMVEሄሳ ጊሻስ፥ ‹ኢንቴ ናምኣንꬆ ዬሌታናስ ኮሼስ› ታ ኔና ጊዳ ጊሻስ ማላሌቶፋ።BSBBSB: Do not be amazed that I said, ‘You must be born again.’
8. 8GMVEጫርኮይ ባ ኮዪዳ ባጋ ጫርኬስ፤ ኔኒ ጫርኮስ ጊሪስ ሲያሳ ኣቲን ኢዚ ኣዋፔ ዪዛኮኔ ኣዋ ቢዛኮ ኤራካ። ኣያናፔ ዬሌቲዳይካ ሄሳ ማላ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: The wind blows where it wishes. You hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”
9. 9GMVEኒቆዲሞሲ፥ «ሃይሲ ዋኒ ሃናና ዳንዳይዜ?» ጊዲ ኦይቺዴስ።BSBBSB: “How can this be?” Nicodemus asked.
10. 10GMVEዬሱሲካ ኢዛስ፥ «ኢስራኤሌ ኣስታማሬ ጊዳ ኡታዳ ሄሳ ኔ ኤርኪ?BSBBSB: “You are Israel’s teacher,” said Jesus, “and you do not understand these things?
11. 11GMVEታ ኔስ ቱሙ ጋይስ፤ ኑኒ ኑ ኤሪዛይሳ ዮቶስ። ኑ ቤኢዳይሳ ማርካቶስ፤ ጊዶ ኣቲን ኢንቴ ኑ ማርካቴꬅ ኤኬኬታ።BSBBSB: Truly, truly, I tell you, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, and yet you people do not accept our testimony.
12. 12GMVEታ ኢንቴስ ሃይሳ ሃ ቢታ ዮኦ ዮቲን ኣማኖንታ ኢጺኮ ሳሎ ሚሽ ዮቲኮ ዎስቲ ኢንቴ ኣማናኔ?BSBBSB: If I have told you about earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you about heavenly things?
13. 13GMVEሳሎፔ ዱጌ ዎꬊዳ ኣሳ ናፔ ኣቲን ፑዴ ሳሎ ኬዚዳይ ሃራይ ኦኒካ ዴና።BSBBSB: No one has ascended into heaven except the One who descended from heaven—the Son of Man.
14. 14GMVE«ባዞ ቢታን ሙሴይ ሾሽ ꬎቁ ሂስቲ ካቂዳይሳꬆ ሄሳꬆካ ኣሳ ናይ ꬎቃሶሆን ካቄታናስ ቤሴስ።BSBBSB: Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,
15. 15GMVEሄሲካ ኢዛን ኣማኒዛዴይ ዉሪካ ሜርና ዴኦ ዴማናሳ።BSBBSB: that everyone who believes in Him may have eternal life.
16. 16GMVEጾሳ ና ኣማኒዛይ ዉሪ ሜርና ዴኦ ዴማናፔ ኣቲን ꬋዮንታ ማላ ጾሲ ሃይሳ ኣላሜዛ ዳሮ ሲቂዳ ጊሻስ ባ ሜጺ ኢሲ ናዛ ኢሚዴስ።BSBBSB: For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
17. 17GMVEጾሲ ባ ናዛ ዱጌ ኣላሜ ኪቲዳይ ኣላሜ ኣሳይ ኢዛን ኣማኒዲ ኣታና ማላሳ ኣቲን ኢዚ ኣላሜ ኣሳ ቦላ ፒርዳናስ ጊዴና።BSBBSB: For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.
18. 18GMVE«ኢዛ ኣማኒዛዴ ቦላ ፒርዴቴና። ኢዛ ኣማኖንታዴይ ጊዲኮ ጾሳ ና ኢሲኔዛን ኣማኖንታ ጊሻስ ካሴካ ፒርዴቲ ኡቲዴስ።BSBBSB: Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
19. 19GMVEፒርዳይካ ሃይሳ ማላ፥ ፖኦይ ሃ ኣላሜ ዪዴስ ሺን ኣሳስ ኦሶይ ኢታ ጊዲዳ ጊሻስ ኣሳይ ፖኦፔ ኬሂ ꬉማ ዶሲዴስ።BSBBSB: And this is the verdict: The Light has come into the world, but men loved the darkness rather than the Light because their deeds were evil.
20. 20GMVEኢታ ኦꬂዛዴይ ዉሪካ ፖኦ ዶሴና። ኢዚ ኦꬂዛ ኢታ ኦሶይ ቆንጬ ኬዞንታ ማላ ኢዚ ባ ሁኤስ ፖኦይ ዲዛሶ ኬዜና።BSBBSB: Everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come into the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.
21. 21GMVEቱሙ ኦꬂዛዴይ ጊዲኮ ፖኦይ ዲዛሶ ዬስ። ኢዚ ፖኦይ ዲዛሶ ዪዛ ጋሶይካ ጾሳ ኣዛዞ ማላ ኢዚ ኦꬂዳ ኦሶይ ቆንጫና ማላሳ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: But whoever practices the truth comes into the Light, so that it may be seen clearly that what he has done has been accomplished in God.”
22. 22GMVEሄሳፌ ጉዬ ዬሱሲ ባና ካሊዛይታራ ዩሁዳ ዴሬ ቢዴስ፤ ሄንካ ኣሳ ጻማቂሼ ኢስታራ ጉꬃ ዎዴ ጋምኢዴስ።BSBBSB: After this, Jesus and His disciples went into the Judean countryside, where He spent some time with them and baptized.
23. 23GMVEሄ ዎዴ ሳሊሜ ኣቻን ሄኖኔ ጌቴቲዛሶን ዳሮ ሃꬂ ዲዛ ጊሻስ ዮሃኒሲ ኣሳ ጻማቂሺን ኣሳይካ ኢዛኮ ቢዲ ጻማቄቲዴስ።BSBBSB: Now John was also baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because the water was plentiful there, and people kept coming to be baptized.
24. 24GMVEሄ ዎዴ ዮሃኒሲ ቡሮ ቃሾ ኬꬄ ጌሊቤና።BSBBSB: (For John had not yet been thrown into prison.)
25. 25GMVEሄ ዎዴ ዮሃኒሳ ካሊዛይታ ጊዶኒኔ ኢሲ ኢሲ ኣይሁዳ ኣሳታ ጊዶን ኣይሁዳታ ጌሾ ዎጋ ጊሻስ ጊታ ፓላማይ ዴንዲዴስ።BSBBSB: Then a dispute arose between John’s disciples and a certain Jew over the issue of ceremonial washing.
26. 26GMVEዮሃኒሳ ካሊዛይቲ ኢዛኮ ሺቂዲ፥ «ኣስታማሬ! ኔናራ ዮርዳኖሴ ሻፋ ፒንꬃን ኢሲፌ ዲሺን ኔ ኢዛ ጊሻስ ማርካቶ ኣዴዚ ሄኮ ጻማቄስ፤ ኣሳይካ ኢዛኮ ቤስ» ጊዳ።BSBBSB: So John’s disciples came to him and said, “Look, Rabbi, the One who was with you beyond the Jordan, the One you testified about—He is baptizing, and everyone is going to Him.”
27. 27GMVEዮሃኒሲካ ኢስታስ፥ «ኦናስካ ጾሳፌ ኢሜቶንታ ዲሺን ኣይኮይካ ዳና ዳንዳዬና።BSBBSB: John replied, “A man can receive only what is given him from heaven.
28. 28GMVE«ታኒ ኢዛፔ ሲንꬃታ ኪቴታዲስ ኣቲን ያና ጊዳ ኪርስቶሲ ታና ጊዲኬ» ጋዳ ታ ኢንቴስ ዮቶይሳስ ኢንቴ ኢንቴ ሁኤራ ታ ማርካታ።BSBBSB: You yourselves can testify that I said, ‘I am not the Christ, but am sent ahead of Him.’
29. 29GMVEሳርጌ ዎዴ ኤካና ሚሺራይ ዲዛዴይ ኢዚካ ሚሺራ፤ ሚሺራ ላጌይ ጊዲኮ ሚሺራዛ ኣቻን ኤቂዲ ሚሺራዚ ጊዛዝ ሲዬስ፤ ሚሺራዛ ቃላ ሲዪዲ ኡፋዬቴስ፤ ሄሳ ጊሻስ ታ ኡፋይሲ ሃኢ ፖሌቲዴስ።BSBBSB: The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend of the bridegroom stands and listens for him, and is overjoyed to hear the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete.
30. 30GMVEኢዚ ꬎቁ ꬎቁ ጋና ማላ ታኒካ ዚቂ ዚቂ ጋና ኮሼስ።BSBBSB: He must increase; I must decrease.
31. 31GMVE«ቦላፌ ዪዛዴይ ኡባፌ ቦላ፤ ጋርሳ ቢታፌ ዪዛዴይ ኢዚ ቢታፌኔ ቢታዝ ዮቴስ፤ ሳሎፔ ዪዛዴይ ኢዚ ኡባፌ ቦላ።BSBBSB: The One who comes from above is above all. The one who is from the earth belongs to the earth and speaks as one from the earth. The One who comes from heaven is above all.
32. 32GMVEኢዚ ባ ቤኢዳዚኔ ባ ሲዪዳዝ ማርካቴስ፤ ጊዶ ኣቲን ኢዛ ማርካቴꬅ ኤኪዛዴይ ዴና።BSBBSB: He testifies to what He has seen and heard, yet no one accepts His testimony.
33. 33GMVEኢዛ ማርካቴꬅ ኤኪዛዴይ ጊዲኮ ጾሳ ቱማንቻ ጊዲዳይሳ ቆንጪሴስ።BSBBSB: Whoever accepts His testimony has certified that God is truthful.
34. 34GMVEጾሲ ኪቲዳዴይ ጾሳ ቃላ ዮቴስ። ጾሲካ ኢዛዴስ ባ ኣያና ማኪ ኢሜና።BSBBSB: For the One whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit.
35. 35GMVE«ኣዋይ ባ ና ዶሴስ። ሃኒዛ ዮኦ ኡባ ኢዛ ኩሼን ኣꬂ ኢሜስ።BSBBSB: The Father loves the Son and has placed all things in His hands.
36. 36GMVEናዛን ኣማኒዛዴስ ሜርና ዴኦይ ዴስ። ናዛን ኣማኖንታይ ጊዲኮ ጾሳ ሃንቆይ ኢዛ ቦላ ዳና ኣቲን ዴኦ ዴሜና» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life. Whoever rejects the Son will not see life. Instead, the wrath of God remains on him.”
