1ሄሳፌ ጉዬ ጎዳይ ሃራ ላፑን ታማኔ ናምኡ ኣስ ዶሪዲ ሱንꬂዴስ፤ ኢስታካ ናምኡ ናምኡ ሂስቲዲ ኢዚ ባና ሶሆታኔ ካታማታ ዉርሲካ ኢስቲ ካሴቲዲ ባና ማላ ኪቲዴስ።After this, the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of Him to every town and place He was about to visit.

2«ማጻ ጋኪዳ ካꬃይ ዳሮ፤ ካꬃ ማጺ ሺሺዛይቲ ጉꬃታ፤ ሄሳ ጊሻስ ካꬃ ጎዳይ ካꬃ ማጺዲ ሺሺዛይታ ካꬃይ ዲዛሶ ዬዳና ማላ ዎሲቴ።And He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest.

3ሄሳ ጊሻስ ቢቴ፤ ዶርሳቲ ካና ሱይቴ ጊዶራ ቢዛ ማላ ታ ኢንቴና ዬዳይስ።Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves.

4ኮሮጆ ዎይኮ ቃራጺቴ ዎይኮ ጫማ ኤኮፍቴ፤ ኦጌ ቦላ ኦናካ ሳሮ ጎፒቴ።Carry no purse or bag or sandals. Do not greet anyone along the road.

5«ኢንቴ ኦና ኬꬂካ ጌሊዛ ጊዲኮ ኮይሮቲዲ፥ ‹ኬꬃ ኣሶ ሳሮ!› ጊቴ።Whatever house you enter, begin by saying, ‘Peace to this house.’

6ሄ ኬꬃን ሳሮ ዶሲዛ ኣሲ ዲኮ ኢንቴ ሳሮታይ ሄ ኬꬃን ሼምፓና፤ ሳሮ ዶሲዛ ኣሲ ዶንታ ኣጊኮ ኢንቴ ሳሮታይ ኢንቴስ ሲማና።If a man of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; if not, it will return to you.

7ኢንቴስ ማና ሺሺዳ ካꬅ ኡባ ሚሼኔ ኡዪሼ ሄ ኢንቴ ጌሊዳ ኬꬃን ኡቲቴ፤ ኦꬂዛዴስ ባ ዎልቃ ዋጋ ኤካናስ ኢዛስ ቤሴስ፤ ሃ ኬꬃፌ ሄ ኬꬄ ዩዮፒቴ።Stay at the same house, eating and drinking whatever you are offered. For the worker is worthy of his wages. Do not move around from house to house.

8«ኢንቴ ኣይ ካታማካ ጋኪዛ ዎዴ ኣሳይ ኢንቴና ሞኪ ኤኪኮ ኢስቲ ኢንቴስ ኣꬂዳ ቁማ ሚቴ።If you enter a town and they welcome you, eat whatever is set before you.

9ሄ ካታማን ዲዛ ሃርጋንቻታ ፓꬂዲ፥ ‹ጾሳ ካዎቴꬂ ኢንቴኮ ማቲዴስ› ጊዲ ዮቲቴ።Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God is near you.’

10ጊዶ ኣቲን ኢንቴ ቢዲ ኢሲ ካታማ ጌሊሺን ሄ ካታማ ኣሳይ ኢንቴና ሞኪ ኤኮንታ ኢጺኮ ሄ ካታማ ኣሳይ ሺቂዛ ዱቡሻ ኬዚዲ፥But if you enter a town and they do not welcome you, go into the streets and declare,

11‹ኑ ቶሆ ቦላ ዲዛ ኢንቴ ካታማ ጉዱላ ኢንቴስ ማርካ ጊዳና ማላ ኑ ቶሆ ቦላፌ ፒቶስ፤ ጊዶ ኣቲን ጾሳ ካዎቴꬃይ ኢንቴኮ ማቲዳይሳ ኤሪቴ› ጊቴ።‘Even the dust of your town that clings to our feet, we wipe off as a testimony against you. Yet be sure of this: The kingdom of God is near.’

12ታ ኢንቴስ ዮታይስ ፒርዳ ጋላስ ሄ ካታማ ፒርዳፌ ሶዶሜ ካታማ ፒርዳይ ካዉሼ ጊዳና።I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodom than for that town.

13«ኩራዚኔ ኔስ ኣዬ ኣና! ቤቴሳይዳ ኔስ ኣዬ ኣና! ኢንቴናን ኦሴቲዳ ማላታቲ ጺሮሴኒኔ ሲዶናን ኦሴቲዳኮ ኢስቲካ ማቃ ማይኢዲኔ ቢዲንꬅ ጎርፔቲዲ ሄ ዎዴ ቤኒ ማሬታናሺን።Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

14ጊዶ ኣቲን ፒርዳ ዎዴ ኢንቴፌ ጺሮሴሲኔ ሲዶናስ ካዉያና።But it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you.

15ሃኔ ቂፊርናሆሜ ፑዴ ሳሎ ꬎቁ ꬎቁ ጋዲ? ኔኒ ዱጌ ሲኦሌ ዎꬋና፥And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted up to heaven? No, you will be brought down to Hades!

16«ኢንቴ ጊዛይሳ ሲዪዛ ኣሲ ታና ሲዬስ፤ ኢንቴና ኤኮንታ ኣሲ ታናካ ኤኬና፤ ታና ኤኮንታይካ ታና ኪቲዳይሳ ኤኬና» ጊዴስ።Whoever listens to you listens to Me; whoever rejects you rejects Me; and whoever rejects Me rejects the One who sent Me.”

17ላፑን ታማኔ ናምኣቲካ ኡፋዬቲሼ ሲሚዲ፥ «ጎዶ! ሃራይ ኣቶሺን ዳይዳንꬃቲካ ኔ ሱንꬃን ኑስ ሃሬቲዳ» ጊ ዮቲዳ።The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in Your name.”

18ኢዚካ ኢስታስ፥ «ጻላኤይ ዎልቃንꬃ ማላ ሳሎፔ ኩንዲሺን ታ ቤያዲስ።So He told them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.

19«ሂስቲኮ ሾሺኔ ማሲማሶ ኢንቴ ዬꬋና ማላ ሞርኬ ዎልቃ ኡባ ቦላ ኢንቴስ ጎዳቴꬅ ታ ኢማዲስ፤ ኢንቴና ቆሂዛ ኢሲ ሚሺካ ዴና።Behold, I have given you authority to tread on snakes and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will harm you.

20ኢንቴ ሱንꬃይ ሳሎን ጻፌቲዳ ጊሻስ ኡፋዬቲቴ ኣቲን ቱና ኣያናቲ ኢንቴስ ሃሬቲዳ ጊሻስ ኡፋዬቶፍቴ» ጊዴስ።Nevertheless, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

21ሄ ዎዴ ዬሱሲ ጺሎ ኣያናን ኡፋዬቲዲ፥ «ሳሎሲኔ ሳኣስ ጎዳ ጊዲዳ ኣቦ! ሃይሳ ዉርሳካ ኣꬎ ኤራንቻታፔኔ ኤራንቻታፔ ቆታዳ ቄሪ ጉꬃ ናይታስ ኔ ቆንጪሲዳ ጊሻስ ታኒ ኔና ጋላታይስ፤ ኤ፥ ታ ኣዋዉ! ሃይሲ ኔ ሎኦ ሼኔይ ሃኒዴስ።At that time Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and declared, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was well-pleasing in Your sight.

22«ዉሪ ታ ኣዋ ማታፔ ታስ ኢሜቲዴስ፤ ቃሴካ ኢዛ ናይ ኦናኮ ኣዋፔ ኣቲን ኤሪዛይ ባ፤ ኣዋይ ኦናኮ ናዛፔ ኣቲን ዎይኮ ናዚ ኢዛስ ቆንጪሳናስ ዶሲዳዴፌ ኣቲን ኤሪዛዴይ ባ» ጊዴስ።All things have been entrusted to Me by My Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him.”

23ባና ካሊዛይታኮ ሲሚዲ ኢስታስ ዱማ፥ «ኢንቴ ቤኢዛይሳ ቤኢዛ ኣይፌቲ ኣንጄቲዳይታ።Then Jesus turned to the disciples and said privately, “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see.

24ታ ኢንቴስ ቱማ ጋይስ፤ ዳሮ ናቤቲኔ ካዎቲ ኢንቴ ሃኢ ቤኢዛይሳ ቤያናስ ኮዪዲ ቤዪቤቴና፤ ኢንቴ ሃኢ ሲዪዛይሳካ ሲያናስ ኮዪዲ ሲዪቤቴና» ጊዴስ።For I tell you that many prophets and kings desired to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.”

25ኢሲ ጋላስ ሙሴ ዎጋ ታማርሲዛ ኢሲ ኣሲ ዬሱሳ ፓጫናስ ኮዪዲ፥ «ታማርሲዛይሶ! ታኒ ሜርና ዴኦ ላታናስ ኣይ ኦꬆ?» ጊዲ ኦይቺዴስ።One day an expert in the law stood up to test Him. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

26ዬሱሲካ ዛሪዲ፥ «ዎጋ ማጻፋን ኣይ ጌቴቲ ጻፌቲዴ? ኢዛፔ ኔስ ጌሊዳይ ኣዜ?» ጊዲ ኦይቺዴስ።“What is written in the Law?” Jesus replied. “How do you read it?”

27ኣዴዚ ዛሪዲ፥ «ኔ ጎዳ ጾሳ ኔ ኩሜꬃ ዎዚናፔ፥ ኔ ኩሜꬃ ሼምፖፌ፥ ኔ ኩሜꬃ ዎልቃፌኔ ኔ ኩሜꬃ ቆፋፔ ሲቃ፤ ኔ ላጌካ ኔ ሁኤ ማላ ሲቃ ጌስ» ጊዲ ዛሪዴስ።He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’ and ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”

28ዬሱሲካ፥ «ሎኦ ዛራዳሳ። ኔኒካ ሄሳꬆ ኦꬂኮ ሜርና ዴኦ ዴማና» ጊዴስ።“You have answered correctly,” Jesus said. “Do this and you will live.”

29ኣዴዚ ባና ጺሊሳናስ ኮዪዲ፥ «ሂስቲን ታ ላጌይ ኦኔ?» ጊዲ ዬሱሳ ኦይቺዴስ።But wanting to justify himself, he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”

30ዬሱሲካ ዛሪዲ፥ «ኢሲ ኣዴዚ ዬሩሳላሜፔ ኢያርኮ ዎꬊሺን ፓንጋቲ ዴሚዲ ኢዛ ማይኦ ቃሪ ኤኪዳ፤ ኬሂ ቆጼሬꬂዲ ሃይቆፔኔ ፓጻፔ ጊዶን ዬጊ ኣጊዲ ቢዳ።Jesus took up this question and said, “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho when he fell into the hands of robbers. They stripped him, beat him, and went away, leaving him half dead.

31ኢሲ ቄሴይ ሄ ኦጌራ ባስ ዱጌ ዎꬊሼ ኣሙንሶንታ ሄ ቆጼቲዳ ኣዴዛ ዴሚዲ ፖቄꬃራ ዬጊ ኣꬊዴስ።Now by chance a priest was going down the same road, but when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.

32ቃሴካ ኢሲ ሌዌ ባጋ ኣሳፔ ኢሲ ኣዴዚ ሄ ኦጌራ ኣꬊሼ ቆጼቲዳ ኣዴዛ ቤኢዲ ሃኢካ ፖቂዲ ኣꬊዴስ።So too, when a Levite came to that spot and saw him, he passed by on the other side.

33ኢሲ ሳማሪያ ቢታ ኣሲ ሄ ኦጌራ ኣꬊ ቢሼ ቆጼቲዳ ኣዴዛ ቦላ ጋኪ ዎꬊዴስ፤ ኣዴዛ ቤኢዲ ኬሂ ሚሼቲዴስ።But a Samaritan on a journey came upon him, and when he saw him, he had compassion.

34ኣዴዛኮ ሺቂዲ ማዱንꬃ ꬋላና ማላ ዎጋራ ሚꬃ ዛይቴኔ ዎይኔ ጫጄ ማዱንꬃ ቦላ ጉሲዲ ቃቺዴስ፤ ኣዴዛ ባ ሃሬ ቶጊሲዲ ኢማꬂ ሼምፒዛሶ ኤፊዲ ሎኤꬂ ጼሊዴስ።He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

35ዎንቴꬃ ጋላስ ኢማꬂ ሼምፒዛ ኬꬃ ጎዳስ ናምኡ ዲናሬ ኢሚዲ፥ ‹ኔና ሃራ ሚሽ ኬሲሲኮ ታ ሲማሼ ኔስ ኢማና፤ ኔፔ ኬሳዳ ሎኤꬃ ናጋ› ጊዴስ።The next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Take care of him,’ he said, ‘and on my return I will repay you for any additional expense.’

36«ሂስቲኮ ሃ ሄꬑ ኣሳታፔ ፓንጋታን ቆጼቲዲ ሃይቆፔኔ ፓጻፔ ጊዶን ዬጌቲዳዴስ ኬሂ ማታ ላጌይ ኔስ ኣዋይሳ ሚሳቲዜ?» ጊዴስ።Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”

37ሙሴ ዎጋ ታማርሲዛይሲካ፥ «ሄሲ ኢዛስ ኔ ሚሼቲዳይሳኔ ማዲዳይሳ!» ጊዴስ። ዬሱሲካ ኢዛስ፥ «ኔካ ባዳ ኢዛይሳꬆ ኦꬃ» ጊዴስ።“The one who showed him mercy,” replied the expert in the law. Then Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”

38ዬሱሲኔ ኢዛ ካሊዛይቲ ኦጌ ቢሺን ዬሱሲ ኢሲ ጉታ ጌሊዴስ፤ ማርታ ጌቴቲዛ ኢሲ ማጫሳያ ባሶን ዬሱሳ ሞካ ኤካዱስ።As they traveled along, Jesus entered a village where a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her home.

39ኢዚስ ማራሞ ጌቴቲዛ ኢሲ ሚቼያ ዳዉስ። ማራማካ ኢዛፔ ቃላ ሲያሼ ጎዳ ቶሆ ጋርሳን ኡታዱስ።She had a sister named Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to His message.

40ጊዶ ኣቲን ማርታይ ኦሶ ዳሮፔ ዴንዲዳይሳን ዳቡራዳ ዬሱሳኮ ሺቃዳ፥ «ጎዶ! ታ ሚቺያ ኦሶ ኡባ ታ ቦላ ኣጋዳ ኡቲሺን ኔኒ ጮኡ ጋይ? ኢዛ ታና ማዳና ማላ ኢዚስ ዮታ ኣቲን» ጋዱስ።But Martha was distracted by all the preparations to be made. She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her to help me!”

41ጊዶ ኣቲን ጎዳይ ኢዚስ፥ «ሃኔ ማርታ! ኔኒ ዳሮ ሚሻ ጊሻስ ቆፋ ዳራሳ፤ ዲርባታሳ፤ ቱጋታሳ።“Martha, Martha,” the Lord replied, “you are worried and upset about many things.

42ኮሺዛይ ጊዲኮ ኢሲ ሚሽ ጻላ፤ ማራማካ ሎኦ ኤጻ ዶራዱስ፤ ሄሲካ ኢዚፔ ኤኬቴና» ጊዴስ።But only one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, and it will not be taken away from her.”
