1. 1GMVEዬሱሲ ጌንሴሬጼ ኣባ ላንቄን ኤቂዲ ጾሳ ቃላ ታማርሲሺን ሲዪዛ ኣሳይ ኢዛ ኡንኤꬂዴስ።BSBBSB: On one occasion, while Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret with the crowd pressing in on Him to hear the word of God,
2. 2GMVEሄ ዎዴ ናምኡ ዎጎሎቲ ኣባ ኣቻን ዲሺን ዬሱሲ ቤዪዴስ። ሞሌ ኦይኪዛይቲ ዎጎሎታፔ ዎꬊዲ ሞሌ ጊቴታ ሜጬቴስ።BSBBSB: He saw two boats at the edge of the lake. The fishermen had left them and were washing their nets.
3. 3GMVEዬሱሲ ዎጎሎታፔ ሲሞና ዎጎሎን ጌሊዲ ቢታፌ ጌዴ ኣባ ጊዶ ሺሻና ማላ ኦይቺዲኔ ዎጎሎ ጊዶን ኡቲዲ ኣሳ ታማርሲዴስ።BSBBSB: Jesus got into the boat belonging to Simon and asked him to put out a little from shore. And sitting down, He taught the people from the boat.
4. 4GMVEታማርሲ ዉርሲዳፔ ጉዬ ሲሞና፥ «ኣባይ ጪማቲዛሶ ሺቃ ሞሌ ኦይካናስ ኢንቴ ጊቴዛ ኣባ ጊዶ ዬጊቴ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: When Jesus had finished speaking, He said to Simon, “Put out into deep water and let down your nets for a catch.”
5. 5GMVEሲሞኒ ዬሱሳስ ዛሪዲ፥ «ጎዶ! ቃማ ኩሜꬅ ዳቡሪ ኣቂዲ ኢሲኖካ ኦይኪቤኮ፤ ጊዶ ኣቲን ኔ ቃላን ጊቴዛ ኑ ዬጋና» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: “Master,” Simon replied, “we have worked hard all night without catching anything. But because You say so, I will let down the nets.”
6. 6GMVEጊቴዛ ዬጊዳ ዎዴ ዳሮ ሞሌ ኦይኪዳ። ጊቴይካ ዳኬቲዴስ።BSBBSB: When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to tear.
7. 7GMVEሃራ ዎጎሎን ዲዛይቲ ዪዲ ኢስታ ማዳና ማላ ኩሼራ ዉቲ ጼይጊዳ። ኢስቲካ ዪዲ ናምኡ ዎጎሎታ ሞሌ ኩንꬂዳ። ዎጎሎቲካ ዱጌ ሚቴቴꬅ ኦይኪዳ።BSBBSB: So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.
8. 8GMVEሲሞና ጌቴቲዛ ጴጽሮሲ ሄሳ ቤኢዲ ዬሱሳ ቶሆ ቦላ ኩንዲዲ፥ «ጎዶ! ታ ናጋራንቻ ጊዲዳ ጊሻስ ታ ኣቻፌ ኪቻ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees. “Go away from me, Lord,” he said, “for I am a sinful man.”
9. 9GMVEኢዚ ሄሳ ጊዳይ ኢዚኔ ኢዛራ ዲዛይቲ ኦይኪዳ ዳሮ ሞሌዛን ማላሌቲዳ ጊሻሳ።BSBBSB: For he and his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken,
10. 10GMVEቃሴካ ሲሞና ላጌቲ ዛብዶሳ ናይቲ ያቆቤይኔ ዮሃኒሲ ዉሪካ ማላሌቲዳ። ዬሱሲካ ሲሞና፥ «ባቦፋ! ሃይሳፌ ጉዬ ኔ ኣስ ኦይኪዛዴ ጊዳና» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: and so were his partners James and John, the sons of Zebedee. “Do not be afraid,” Jesus said to Simon. “From now on you will catch men.”
11. 11GMVEኢስቲካ ዎጎሎታ ቢታኮ ሺሺዲ ዉርሲካ ዬጊ ኣጊዲ ዬሱሳ ካሊዳ።BSBBSB: And when they had brought their boats ashore, they left everything and followed Him.
12. 12GMVEዬሱሲ ካታማታፔ ኢሲኔይን ዲሺን ኢንቺራቻ ሃርጌይ ቦላ ዉርሲ ኦይኪዳ ኢሲ ኣሲ ሄ ካታማን ዴስ፤ ሄ ኣዴዚካ ዬሱሳ ቤኢዲ ኢዛ ሲንꬃን ኩንዲዲ፥ «ጎዶ! ኔ ኮይኮ ታና ፓꬃና ዳንዳያሳ» ጊዲ ዎሲዴስ።BSBBSB: While Jesus was in one of the towns, a man came along who was covered with leprosy. When he saw Jesus, he fell facedown and begged Him, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”
13. 13GMVEዬሱሲ ባ ኩሼ ዬዲ ቦቺዲ፥ «ታ ዶሳዲስ፥ ፓጻ» ጊዴስ። ኢንቺራቻይ ሄራካ ꬋይዴስ።BSBBSB: Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” He said. “Be clean!” And immediately the leprosy left him.
14. 14GMVEዬሱሲ ኢዛስ፥ «ሃይሳ ኦናስካ ዮቶፓ፤ ጊዶ ኣቲን ባዳ ኔና ቄሴ ሃላቃስ ቤሳ፤ ኢስታስ ማርካ ጊዳና ማላ ኔ ጌዪዳይሳስ ሙሴይ ኣዛዚዳ ያርሾዛ ሺሻ» ጊዲ ኣዛዚዴስ።BSBBSB: “Do not tell anyone,” Jesus instructed him. “But go, show yourself to the priest and present the offering Moses prescribed for your cleansing, as a testimony to them.”
15. 15GMVEጊዶ ኣቲን ኢዛ ጊሻስ ኣሳይ ሃሳይዛ ዎሬይ ካሴፔ ኣኪ ኣኪ ቢዴስ፤ ኬሂ ዳሮ ኣሳይ ኢዛ ሃሳያ ሲያናሲኔ ባና ሳኪዛ ሃርጌፌ ፓጻናስ ኢዛኮ ሺቂዴስ።BSBBSB: But the news about Jesus spread all the more, and great crowds came to hear Him and to be healed of their sicknesses.
16. 16GMVEዬሱሲ ዳሮ ዎዴ ኣሲ ባይንዳሶ ቢዲ ዎሲዴስ።BSBBSB: Yet He frequently withdrew to the wilderness to pray.
17. 17GMVEዬሱሲ ታማርሲሺን ኣሳይ ጋሊላፔኔ ዩሁዳፔ ቃሴካ ዬሩሳላሜፔ ዪዳ ፋርሳዌቲኔ ዎጋ ታማርሲዛይቲ ሄን ኡቲዳ። ኢዚ ፓꬃና ማላ ጎዳ ዎልቃይ ኢዛራ ዴስ።BSBBSB: One day Jesus was teaching, and the Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there. People had come from Jerusalem and from every village of Galilee and Judea, and the power of the Lord was present for Him to heal the sick.
18. 18GMVEሄ ዎዴ ኣሳይ ኢሲ ኩሜꬃ ቦላይ ሲሊዲ ቃጾንታ ሃርጋንቻ ሃላራ ቶኪ ኤኪ ዪዲ ኬꬄ ጌልꬂዲ ዬሱሳ ሲንꬃን ዎꬃናስ ፓጪዳ።BSBBSB: Just then some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a mat. They tried to bring him inside to set him before Jesus,
19. 19GMVEኣሳ ዳሮቴꬃፌ ዴንዲዳይሳን ኬꬄ ጌልꬃናስ ጾኔቲዳ ጊሻስ ፑዴ ኬꬃ ካራ ቦላ ኬዚዲኔ ካራ ቃሪዲ ሃርጋንቻዛ ሃላራ ቶኪ ኤሂዲ ኣሳ ጊዶራ ዬሱሳ ሲንꬃን ዎꬂዳ።BSBBSB: but they could not find a way through the crowd. So they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus.
20. 20GMVEዬሱሲ ኢስታ ኣማኖ ቤኢዲ፥ «ሃይሶ ኔኒ ኔ ናጋራፔ ማሬታዳሳ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: When Jesus saw their faith, He said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven.”
21. 21GMVEሙሴ ዎጋ ጻፊዛይቲኔ ፋርሳዌቲ፥ «ሃይሲ ጾሳ ቦላ ጻላቴꬃን ሃይሳꬆ ሃሳይዛይ ኢዚ ኦኔ? ኢሲ ጾሳፌ ኣቲን ናጋራ ማራናስ ኦኒ ዳንዳይዜ?» ጊዲ ቆፒዳ።BSBBSB: But the scribes and Pharisees began thinking to themselves, “Who is this man who speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
22. 22GMVEዬሱሲ ኢስታ ቆፋ ኤሪዳ ጊሻስ፥ «ኢንቴ ኢንቴ ዎዚናን ኣይስ፥ ሄሳꬆ ቆፔቲ?BSBBSB: Knowing what they were thinking, Jesus replied, “Why are you thinking these things in your hearts?
23. 23GMVE‹ኔ ናጋራይ ኣቶ ጌቴቲዴስ› ጉሳፌኔ ‹ዴንዳዳ ባ› ጉሳፌ ኣዋይሲ ካዉሼ?BSBBSB: Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’?
24. 24GMVEጊዶ ኣቲን ታ ሃይሳ ጊዳይ ኣሳ ናስ ቢታ ቦላ ኣስ ናጋራፔ ማራናስ ጎዳቴꬂ ዲዛይሳ ኢንቴ ኤራና ማላ» ጊዴስ፤ ቃሴካ ሄ ሲላ ኣዴዛ፥ «ኔና ጋይስ! ዴንዳ ኤቃ! ኔ ሃላ ቶካዳ ባ!» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on the earth to forgive sins…” He said to the paralytic, “I tell you, get up, pick up your mat, and go home.”
25. 25GMVEኢዚ ሄራካ ኢስታ ሲንꬃን ዴንዲ ኤቂዴስ፤ ካሴ ባ ኢቺዳ ሃላ ቶኪዲ ጾሳ ጋላቲሼ ባሶ ቢዴስ።BSBBSB: And immediately the man stood up before them, took what he had been lying on, and went home glorifying God.
26. 26GMVEሄ ዎዴ ኣሲ ዉሪ ማላሌቲዴስ። ጾሳ ጋላቲሼ፥ «ሃች ማላሊሲዛዝ ቤኢዶስ» ጊዲ ዳሮ ባቢዳ።BSBBSB: Everyone was taken with amazement and glorified God. They were filled with awe and said, “We have seen remarkable things today.”
27. 27GMVEሄሳፌ ጉዬ ዬሱሲ ሄፔ ኬዚ ቢዴስ። ሌዌ ጌቴቲዛ ኢሲ ቃራጻ ቃንጺሲዛይሲ ቃራጻ ቃንጺዛሶን ኡቲዳይሳ ቤኢዲ፥ «ታና ካላ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at the tax booth. “Follow Me,” He told him,
28. 28GMVEኢዚካ ዉርሲ ኣጊዲ ኢዛ ካሊዴስ።BSBBSB: and Levi got up, left everything, and followed Him.
29. 29GMVEሌዌይካ ዬሱሳስ ባ ኬꬃን ጊታ ዲጊሳ ዲጊሲዴስ። ቃራጻ ቃንጺሲዛ ዳሮ ኣሳቲኔ ሃራ ኣሳቲካ ኢስታራ ኢሲፌ ማዳን ኡቲዳ።BSBBSB: Then Levi hosted a great banquet for Jesus at his house. A large crowd of tax collectors was there, along with others who were eating with them.
30. 30GMVEፋርሳዌቲኔ ኢስታ ጻፌቲ፥ «ቃራጻ ቃንጺሲዛይታራኔ ናጋራንቻታራ ኢሲፌ ኣዛስ ሜቲ?» ጊዲ ዬሱሳ ካሊዛይታ ቦላ ዙዙሜቲዳ።BSBBSB: But the Pharisees and their scribes complained to Jesus’ disciples, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”
31. 31GMVEዬሱሲካ ኢስታስ፥ «ሃርጋንቻታስ ኣቲን ፓጻ ኣሳስ ኣኪሜ ኮሼና።BSBBSB: Jesus answered, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.
32. 32GMVEታኒካ ናጋራንቻታ ማሮቴꬃኮ ዛራናስ ያዲስ ኣቲን ጺሎታ ጼይጋናስ ያቤኬ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”
33. 33GMVEኢስቲካ ዛሪዲ፥ «ዮሃኒሳ ካሊዛይቲ ዳሮ ዎዴ ጾሜቴሲኔ ዎሴቴስ። ፋርሳዌታ ካሊዛይቲካ ኢዛꬆ ኦꬄቴስ። ኔና ካሊዛይቲ ጊዲኮ ኡባ ዎዴ ሜቴሲኔ ኡዬቴስ» ጊዳ።BSBBSB: Then they said to Him, “John’s disciples and those of the Pharisees frequently fast and pray, but Yours keep on eating and drinking.”
34. 34GMVEዬሱሲካ ኢስታስ ዛሪዲ፥ «ሚሺራይ ኢሲፌ ዲሺን ዲጊሳስ ጼይጌቲዳይቲ ጾማናስ ቤሲዜ?BSBBSB: Jesus replied, “Can you make the guests of the bridegroom fast while He is with them?
35. 35GMVEጊዶ ኣቲን ሚሺራይ ኢስታፌ ሻኬታና ዎዴይ ያና፤ ኢስቲ ሄ ዎዴ ጾማና» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast.”
36. 36GMVEኢስታስ፥ «ኦራꬃ ማይኦፌ ቃንጺ ኤኪዲ ጋልኣ ማይኦ ቦላ ዎꬂ ሲኪዛዴይ ዴና፤ ዎꬂ ሲኪኮ ኦራꬃዚ ጋልኣራ ጋጎንታ ጊሻስ ጋልኣዛ ዳካና።BSBBSB: He also told them a parable: “No one tears a piece of cloth from a new garment and sews it on an old one. If he does, he will tear the new garment as well, and the patch from the new will not match the old.
37. 37GMVEዎይኔፔ ኦሴቲዳ ኦራꬃ ጫጄ ጋልኣ ሉካሞን ኩንꬂዲ ዎꬂዛ ኣሲ ኦኒካ ዴና፤ ዎꬂዛ ጊዲኮ ዎይኔፔ ኦሴቲዳ ኦራꬃ ጫጄይ ጋልኣዛ ዳካና። ዎይኔ ጫጄዚካ ቢታን ጉካና፤ ጋልኣ ሉካሞይ ሲንꬃፌ ጎኦንታዝ ጊዳና።BSBBSB: And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the new wine will burst the skins, the wine will spill, and the wineskins will be ruined.
38. 38GMVEሄሳ ጊሻስ ኦራꬃ ዎይኔ ጫጄይ ኦራꬃ ኦጎሮን ጉጄታናስ ቤሴስ።BSBBSB: Instead, new wine is poured into new wineskins.
39. 39GMVEሂስቲኮ ጫላ ዎይኔ ጫጄ ኡዪዳፔ ጉዬ ጫሎንታዝ ኡያና ኮይዛይ ኦኒካ ዴና ጋሶይካ ጫላይ ሎኦ ጊዲዳ ጊሻሳ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: And no one after drinking old wine wants new, for he says, ‘The old is better.’”
