1. 1GMVEቃሴ ኢስታስ ሌሚሶራ ዮቲሼ፥ «ኢሳዴይ ባ ዎይኔ ሚꬅ ቶኪዴስ። ኬላ ዩሺ ኣꬂ ኬሊዴስ፤ ዎይኔ ሚꬃ ኣይፌ ጉምኣና ኦላ ቦኪዴስ። ናጌ ኬꬄካ ኬጺዴስ። ሄሳፌ ጎሻንቻታስ ኪራ ኢሚዲ ሃራ ዴሬ ቢዴስ።BSBBSB: Then Jesus began to speak to them in parables: “A man planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a wine vat, and built a watchtower. Then he rented it out to some tenants and went away on a journey.
2. 2GMVEሚꬃይ ኣይፊዛ ዎዴ ዎይኔ ሚꬃ ኣይፌ ኤካዳ ያ ጊዲ ኣሽካራታፔ ኢሳዴ ጎሻንቻታኮ ዬዲዴስ።BSBBSB: At harvest time, he sent a servant to the tenants to collect his share of the fruit of the vineyard.
3. 3GMVEጎሻንቻቲ ኣሽካራዛ ኦይኪ ሾጪዲ ጮ ሜላ ኩሼ ዬዲዳ።BSBBSB: But they seized the servant, beat him, and sent him away empty-handed.
4. 4GMVEናምኣንꬆካ ሃራ ኣሽካራ ዬዲዴስ። ጎሻንቻቲ ሃኢካ ኣሽካራ ኦይኪዲ ኢዛስ ሁኤታራ ቆኢዲኔ ካዉሺዲ ዛሪ ዬዲዳ።BSBBSB: Then he sent them another servant, and they struck him over the head and treated him shamefully.
5. 5GMVEሃኢካ ዛሪዲ ሃራ ኣሽካራ ዬዲዴስ። ሄ ዬዶይሳካ ዎꬊዳ፤ ሃራ ዳሮታ ጊዶፌ ኢሲ ኢሲ ኣሳታ ቆጺዳ፤ ባጋይታ ዎꬊዳ።BSBBSB: He sent still another, and this one they killed. He sent many others; some they beat and others they killed.
6. 6GMVE«ሃኢካ ኪቴቶንታ ኣቲዳ ሃራይ ዴስ፤ ኢዚካ ኣዋይ ዶሲዛ ባ ናዛ። ‹ታ ናዛ ኢስቲ ቦሳና› ጊ ቆፒዲ ዉርሴꬃን ባ ናዛ ዬዲዴስ።BSBBSB: Finally, having one beloved son, he sent him to them. ‘They will respect my son,’ he said.
7. 7GMVEጎሻንቻቲ ቃሴ ባ ጊዶን፥ ‹ሃይሲ ዋና ኢዛ ላታና ናዛ፤ ሃ ዪቴ ኑ ኢዛ ዎꬊኮ ቢታይ ኑስ ጊዳና› ጊዳ።BSBBSB: But the tenants said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’
8. 8GMVEሄሳ ጊሻስ ሄን ኦይኪ ዎꬊዲ ዎይኔ ሚꬃይ ዲዛሶፔ ሃራሶ ኬሲ ዬጊዳ።BSBBSB: So they seized the son, killed him, and threw him out of the vineyard.
9. 9GMVE«ሂስቲን ዎይኔ ሚꬃ ጎዳይ ኣይ ኦꬃና ኢንቴስ ሚሳቲዜ? ኢዚ ያና፤ ጎሻንቻታካ ዎꬋና፤ ዎይኔ ሚꬃ ሃራታስ ኢማና።BSBBSB: What then will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and kill those tenants and give the vineyard to others.
10. 10GMVEጌሻ ማጻፋን፥ ‹ሹቻ ኬꬄ ኬጺዛይቲ ሃኔና ጊዲ ዎራ ዬጊዳ ሹቻይ ኬꬃ ጉላስ ቦላ ሁኤ ጊዲዴስ፤ ሄሳካ ጎዳይ ኦꬂዴስ። ሄሲካ ኑ ኣይፌስ ማላሊሲዛዝ ጌቴቲዲ ጻፌቲዳይሳ ናባቢቤኬቲ?› » ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: Have you never read this Scripture: ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.
11. 12GMVEኢዚ ኢስታስ ሌሚሶዛ ዮቲዳይ ኢስታ ጊሻስ ጊዲዳይሳ ኣይሁዳ ሃላቃቲ ኤሪዳ ጊሻስ ኢዛ ኦይካናስ ኮዪዳ፤ ጊዶ ኣቲን ኣሳስ ባቢዳ ጊሻስ ኣጊ ቢዳ።BSBBSB: At this, the leaders sought to arrest Jesus, for they knew that He had spoken this parable against them. But fearing the crowd, they left Him and went away.
12. 13GMVEዬሱሳ ዮኦን ቃጻና ማላ ፋርሳዌታፔኔ ሄርዶሳ ባጋታፔ ጉꬃ ኣሳታ ዶሪዲ ኢዛኮ ዬዲዳ።BSBBSB: Later, they sent some of the Pharisees and Herodians to catch Jesus in His words.
13. 14GMVEኢስቲካ ኢዛኮ ዪዲ፥ «ኣስታማሬ! ኔኒ ሞሮይ ባይንዳ ኣስ ጊዲዳይሳ ኑ ኤሮስ፤ ኔ ኦናስካ ባባዳ ዎርዶ ማዳካ፤ ጾሳ ኦጌ ጻላላ ቱሙ ታማርሳሳ። ኦሮሜ ካዎ ቄሳሬስ ጊራ ቃንጻናስ ቤሲዜዬ? ቤሴኔ? ኑ ቃንጺኖዬ? ቃንጾፊኖ?»BSBBSB: “Teacher,” they said, “we know that You are honest and seek favor from no one. Indeed, You are impartial and teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar or not? Should we pay them or not?”
14. 15GMVEዬሱሲ ኢስታ ኦይሻይ ቆꬌፔ ቆሞ ጊዲዳይሳ ኤሪዲ፥ «ኣዛስ ታና ቃጻና ኮዬቲ? ኣኔ ኢሲ ዲናሬ ሃሚቴ ታ ቤያይስ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: But Jesus saw through their hypocrisy and said, “Why are you testing Me? Bring Me a denarius to inspect.”
15. 16GMVEኢስቲካ ሚሻ ኤሂን፥ «ሃይሲ ኢዛ ቦላ ዲዛ ሚስሌዚ ኦና ሚስሌ? ኢዛ ቦላ ጻፌቲዳይሲ ኦና ጊዜ?» ጊዴስ። ኢስቲካ፥ «ቄሳሬይሳ» ጊዳ።BSBBSB: So they brought it, and He asked them, “Whose image is this? And whose inscription?” “Caesar’s,” they answered.
16. 17GMVEዬሱሲካ፥ «ቄሳሬይሳ ቄሳሬስ፥ ጾሳይሳ ጾሳስ ኢሚቴ» ጊዴስ። ኢስቲካ ኢዛ ዛሮን ማላሌቲዳ።BSBBSB: Then Jesus told them, “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.” And they marveled at Him.
17. 18GMVEሄሳፌ ጉዬ ሃይቂዳይታስ ሃይቆፔ ዴንꬂ ባ ጊዛ ሳዱቃዌቲ ኢዛኮ ዪዲ ኢዛ ሂዝጊ ኦይቺዳ።BSBBSB: Then the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to Jesus and questioned Him:
18. 19GMVE«ኣስታማሬ! ኢሲ ኣሲ ማቾ ኤኪዲ ና ዬሎንታ ሃይቂኮ ሃይቂዳይሳ ኢሻይ ኢዛ ማቼዮ ኤኪዲ ኢዛስ ላታ ና ዬላና ማላ ካሴ ሙሴይ ኑስ ጻፊዴስ።BSBBSB: “Teacher, Moses wrote for us that if a man’s brother dies and leaves a wife but no children, the man is to marry his brother’s widow and raise up offspring for him.
19. 20GMVEጊዶ ኣቲን ላፑን ኢሻንቲ ዴቴስ፤ ኢስታፌ ባይራይ ማቾ ኤኪዲ ና ዬሎንታ ሃይቂዴስ።BSBBSB: Now there were seven brothers. The first one married and died, leaving no children.
20. 21GMVEካሎዚ ሄ ማጫሳዮ ኤኪዲ ሃኢካ ና ዬሎንታ ሃይቂዴስ፤ ሄꬓንꬆይካ ዬሎንታ ሃይቂዴስ።BSBBSB: Then the second one married the widow, but he also died and left no children. And the third did likewise.
21. 22GMVEላፑናቲካ ሄ ማጫሳዮ ኤኪዲ ላታ ዬሊቤቴና፤ ዉርሴꬃን ማጫሳያካ ሃይቃዱስ።BSBBSB: In this way, none of the seven left any children. And last of all, the woman died.
22. 23GMVEሂስቲን ላፑናቲካ ኢዞ ኤኪዳሺን ሃይቆፔ ዴንዶይ ዲዛ ጊዲኮ ሃ ማጫሳያ ኢስታፌ ኦና ማቾ ጊዳኔ?» ጊዳ።BSBBSB: In the resurrection, then, whose wife will she be? For all seven were married to her.”
23. 24GMVEዬሱሲካ ኢስታስ፥ «ኢንቴ ባሌቲዛይ ጌሻ ማጻፋታኔ ጾሳ ዎልቃ ኤሮንታ ጊሻሳ።BSBBSB: Jesus said to them, “Aren’t you mistaken, because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God?
24. 25GMVEሃይቂዳይቲ ዴንዲዛ ዎዴ ሳሎ ኪታንቻታ ማላ ጊዳና ኣቲን ኤኬቴቴናኔ ጌሌቴና።BSBBSB: When the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage. Instead, they will be like the angels in heaven.
25. 26GMVEሃይቂዳይታ ዴንꬃ ጊሻስ ጊዲኮ ሙሴ ማጻፋን ሄሲካ ቄሪ ዎራ ጊዶን ኤጺዛ ታማ ጊዶፌ ጾሲ፥ ‹ታኒ ኣብራሃሜ ጾሳ፤ ዪሳቃ ጾሳ፤ ያቆቤ ጾሳ› ጊዛይሳ ናባቢቤኬቲ?BSBBSB: But concerning the dead rising, have you not read about the burning bush in the Book of Moses, how God told him, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?
26. 27GMVEጾሲ ፓጻታ ጾሳ ኣቲን ሃይቄꬃታ ጾስ ጊዴና፤ ሄሳ ጊሻስ ኢንቴ ዳሮ ባሌቲዴታ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You are badly mistaken!”
27. 28GMVEኢስቲ ፓላማን ዲሺን ጻፌታፔ ኢሳዴይ ኢስታ ፓላማ ሲዪዲኔ ዬሱሲ ኦይሼቲዳይሳስ ሎኤꬂ ዛሪዳይሳ ኣኬኪዲ፥ «ኤሮ! ኣዛዞታ ኡባፌ ኣꬊዛይ ኣዋይሴ?» ጊዲ ኦይቺዴስ።BSBBSB: Now one of the scribes had come up and heard their debate. Noticing how well Jesus had answered them, he asked Him, “Which commandment is the most important of all?”
28. 29GMVEዬሱሲ ኢዛስ፥ «ኡባፌ ኣꬊዛይ ሃይሳ፥ ‹ኢስራኤሌ ሲያ! ጎዳ ኑ ጾሲ ኢሲ ጎዳ፥BSBBSB: Jesus replied, “This is the most important: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One.
29. 30GMVEኔካ ጎዳ ኔ ጾሳ ኔ ኩሜꬃ ዎዚናፔ፥ ኔ ኩሜꬃ ሼምፖፌ፥ ኔ ኩሜꬃ ቆፋፔ፥ ኔ ኩሜꬃ ዎልቃፌ ዶሳ።›BSBBSB: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’
30. 31GMVEናምኣንꬆይካ፥ ‹ኔ ላጌ ኔ ሁኤ ማላ ዶሳ› ሃ ናምኣታፔ ኣꬊዛ ኣዛዞይ ባ።»BSBBSB: The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.”
31. 32GMVEጻፌዚካ፥ «ኣስታማሬ! ሎኦ ጋዳሳ፥ ‹ጾሲ ኢሲኖ ጊዲዳይሳኔ ኢዛፔ ሃራይ ባይንዳይሳ› ኔ ዮቲዳይሲ ሊኬ።BSBBSB: “Right, Teacher,” the scribe replied. “You have stated correctly that God is One and there is no other but Him,
32. 33GMVEኢዛ ኔ ኩሜꬃ ዎዚናፔ ኔ ኩሜꬃ ቆፋፔ ኔ ኩሜꬃ ዎልቃፌ ዶሶይ ቃሴካ ኔ ላጌ ኔ ሁኤ ማላ ዶሶይ ጹጌቲዛ ያርሾፌኔ ሃራ ያርሾ ኡባፌ ኣꬌስ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: and to love Him with all your heart and with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself. This is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
33. 34GMVEዬሱሲካ ኣዴዚ ዩሺ ቆፒዲ ዛሪዳይሳ ቤኢዲ፥ «ኔኒ ጾሳ ካዎቴꬃፌ ሃሆን ዳካ» ጊዴስ። ሄሳፌ ጉዬ ኢዛ ኦይቻናስ ጻሊዳዴይ ቤቲቤና።BSBBSB: When Jesus saw that the man had answered wisely, He said, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” And no one dared to question Him any further.
34. 35GMVEዬሱሲ ጾሳ ኬꬃ ጋꬃን ታማርሲሼ፥ «ሙሴ ዎጋ ታማርሲዛይቲ ኣዛስ፥ ‹ኪርስቶሳ ዳዊቴ ና› ጊዞ?BSBBSB: While Jesus was teaching in the temple courts, He asked, “How can the scribes say that the Christ is the Son of David?
35. 36GMVEዳዊቲ ጺሎ ኣያናን ሃሳይሼ፥ ‹ጎዳይ ታ ጎዳ፥ ኔ ሞርኬታ ታ ኔ ቶሆ ጋርስ ኣꬃና ጋካናስ ታ ኡሻቻን ኡታ› ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: Speaking by the Holy Spirit, David himself declared: ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand until I put Your enemies under Your feet.”’
36. 37GMVEሂስቲን ዳዊቲ ባ ዶናራ ኢዛ፥ ‹ጎዳ› ጊኮ ዋኒዲ ሲሚ ኢዛስ ና ጊዳኔ?» ጊዴስ። ዳሮ ዴሬይካ ኢዚ ጊዛይሳ ኡፋይሳራ ሲዪዴስ።BSBBSB: David himself calls Him ‘Lord.’ So how can He be David’s son?” And the large crowd listened to Him with delight.
37. 38GMVEኢዚ ታማርሲሼ፥ «ሙሴ ዎጋ ታማርሲዛይታፔ ናጌቲቴ፥ ጋዴራ ጎሼቲዛ ኣዱሳ ማይኦ ማይኢዲ ዩሼ ዩያና ዶሴቴስ፤ ኣዋንካ ኣꬊ ኣꬊ ኣሲ ኢስታስ ቦንቾ ሳሮታ ኢማና ማላ ኮዬቴስ።BSBBSB: In His teaching Jesus also said, “Watch out for the scribes. They like to walk around in long robes, to receive greetings in the marketplaces,
38. 39GMVEኣይሁዳታ ዎሳ ኬꬃን ꬎቃሶ፥ ጊቢራሶንካ ቦንቾሶ ኮዬቴስ።BSBBSB: and to have the chief seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets.
39. 40GMVEኢስቲ ኣዚናይ ባይንዳ ማጫሳ ኬꬅ ካሎሴቴስ፤ ቃሴካ ባና ቤሳናስ ኣዱሳ ዎሳ ዎሴቴስ። ሃይታንቲ ኢታ ፒርዳ ፒርዴታና» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: They defraud widows of their houses, and for a show make lengthy prayers. These men will receive greater condemnation.”
40. 41GMVEዬሱሲካ ኣሳይ ሙጹዋታ ዬጊዛሶን ኡቲዲ ዳሮ ኣሳቲ ኢሚዛይሳ ጾሳ ኬꬃ ሚሻ ሺሺዛ ሳጺኔን ዬጊዛይሳ ጼሊዴስ። ዳሮ ዱሬቲ ዳሮ ሚሽ ዬጊዳ።BSBBSB: As Jesus was sitting opposite the treasury, He watched the crowd putting money into it. And many rich people put in large amounts.
41. 42GMVEኢሲ ኣዚናይ ባይንዳ ኣምኤ ዲዛራ ኢሲ ሲኪናፌ ዳሮንታ ጻርቂማላ ቢራታፔ ኦሴቲዳ ናምኡ ሚሽ ዬጋዱስ።BSBBSB: Then one poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which amounted to a small fraction of a denarius.
42. 43GMVEዬሱሲ ባና ካሊዛይታ ጼይጊዲ፥ «ታ ኢንቴስ ቱሙ ጋይስ፤ ሳጺኔዛን ዬጊዳ ኡባፌ ሃና ማንቆ ኣምኤያ ኣꬌꬅ ዬጋዱስ።BSBBSB: Jesus called His disciples to Him and said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more than all the others into the treasury.
43. 44GMVEሃይቲ ዉሪ ባስ ዲዛ ቲርፓ ሚሻፌ ዬጊዳሺን ሃና ቃሴ ባ ማንቆቴꬃፌ ባስ ዲዛይሳ ሲንꬃፌ ኢዞ ኮሺዛይሳራ ዉርሳ ኢማዱስ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: For they all contributed out of their surplus, but she out of her poverty has put in all she had to live on.”
