1. 1GMVEሄሳፌ ጉዬ ዬሱሲ ሳምባታ ጋላስ ካꬃ ጊዶራ ኣꬊ ቢዴስ። ኢዛ ካሊዛይቲካ ጋፊዳ ጊሻስ ቲያ ዱꬂዲ ሺጌቺ ሙስ ኦይኪዳ።BSBBSB: At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry and began to pick the heads of grain and eat them.
2. 2GMVEፋርሳዌቲ ሄሳ ቤኢዲ ዬሱሳ፥ «ሄኮ ኔና ካሊዛይቲ ሳምባታ ጋላስ ኦሴታናስ ቤሶንታይሳ ኦꬄቴስ» ጊዳ።BSBBSB: When the Pharisees saw this, they said to Him, “Look, Your disciples are doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath.”
3. 3GMVEኢዚካ ኢስታስ ዛሪዲ፥ «ዳዊቲኔ ኢዛራ ዲዛ ኣሳቲ ጋፊዳ ዎዴ ኢዚ ኣይ ኦꬂዳኮን ናባቢቤኬቲ?BSBBSB: Jesus replied, “Have you not read what David did when he and his companions were hungry?
4. 4GMVEጾሳ ኬꬄ ጌሊዲ ቄሴታፔ ኣቲን ዳዊቲኔ ኢዛራ ዲዛይቲ ቦቻናስ ቤሶንታ ዱማቲዳ ኡኬꬅ ሚዴስ።BSBBSB: He entered the house of God, and he and his companions ate the consecrated bread, which was not lawful for them to eat, but only for the priests.
5. 5GMVEቃሴ ቄሴቲ ሳምባታ ሻሪዲ ጾሳ ኬꬃ ጊዶን ኦሶ ኦꬂኮ ሞሮ ጊዶንታይሳ ሙሴ ዎጋፔ ናባቢቤኬቲ?BSBBSB: Or haven’t you read in the Law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple break the Sabbath and yet are innocent?
6. 6GMVEጊዲኮካ ታ ኢንቴስ ጊዛይ ጾሳ ኬꬃፌ ኣꬊዛዴይ ሃን ዴስ።BSBBSB: But I tell you that One greater than the temple is here.
7. 7GMVE‹ታኒ ያርሾ ጊዶንታ ማሮቴꬅ ዶሳይስ› ጊዛ ቃላይ ኣይ ጉሳኮ ኢንቴ ኤሪዛኮ ጺሎታ ቦላ ፒርዴኬታኮሺን።BSBBSB: If only you had known the meaning of ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the innocent.
8. 8GMVEኣሳ ናይ ሳምባታስ ጎዳ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.”
9. 9GMVEሄፔ ኢዚ ኣꬊ ቢሼ ኣይሁዳታ ዎሳ ኬꬅ ጌሊዴስ።BSBBSB: Moving on from there, Jesus entered their synagogue,
10. 10GMVEሄንካ ኢሲ ኩሼ ሲሊዳዴይ ዴስ። ዬሱሳ ሞታናስ ጋሶ ኮዪዲ፥ «ሳምባታ ጋላስ ፓꬃናስ ቤሲዜ?» ጊዲ ኢዛ ኦይቺዴስ።BSBBSB: and a man with a withered hand was there. In order to accuse Jesus, they asked Him, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”
11. 11GMVEኢዚካ ኢስታ፥ «ኢንቴፌ ኢሳዴ ዶርሲ ሳምባታ ጋላስ ኦላን ጌሊኮ ባ ዶርሳ ኢዚ ጌሊዲ ኦላፌ ጎቺ ኬሲ ኤሬኔ?BSBBSB: He replied, “If one of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will he not take hold of it and lift it out?
12. 12GMVEሂስቲኮ ኣሲ ዶርሳፌ ኬሂ ኣꬌኔ? ሄሳ ጊሻስ ሳምባታ ጋላስ ሎኦ ኦሶይ ዲጌቴና» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: How much more valuable is a man than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”
13. 13GMVEቃሴካ ኣዴዛ፥ «ኔ ኩሼ ፒዲሳ!» ጊዴስ፤ ኣዴዚካ ባ ኩሼ ፒዲሲን ሂንኮ ኩሼዛ ማላ ፓጻ ጊዲዴስ።BSBBSB: Then Jesus said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” So he stretched it out, and it was restored to full use, just like the other.
14. 14GMVEጊዶ ኣቲን ፋርሳዌቲ ሄፔ ኬዚዲ፥ ዬሱሳ ዎስቲ ኦይኪ ዎꬋናኮ ባ ጊዶን ዞሬቲዳ።BSBBSB: But the Pharisees went out and plotted how they might kill Jesus.
15. 15GMVEዬሱሲ ኢስታ ቆፋ ኤሪዲ ሄፔ ሃራሶ ሼርኢ ጊዴስ። ዳሮ ዴሬይ ኢዛ ካሊዴስ፤ ሃርጋንቻታካ ኡባ ፓꬂዴስ።BSBBSB: Aware of this, Jesus withdrew from that place. Large crowds followed Him, and He healed them all,
16. 16GMVEኢዚ ኦናኮኔ ኣሳስ ዮቶንታ ማላ ኢስታ ኣዛዚዴስ።BSBBSB: warning them not to make Him known.
17. 17GMVEሄሲካ ሃኒዳይ ናቤ ኢሳያሳን፥ «ታ ዶሪዳይኔ ታ ኢዛን ኡፋዬቲዛ ታ ናይ ሃይሳኮ! ታ ኣያና ታ ኢዛ ቦላ ዎꬃና፤ ኢዚካ ኣማኖንታ ዴሬታስ ቱሙ ፒርዳ ኣዋጃና፤ ማርሼቴና፤ ዎይኮ ዋሴና። ኢዛስ ቃላይካ ካሬን ሲዬቴና፤ ሱሬ ፒርዳ ጾኖስ ጋꬃና ጋካናስ ዲንጬቲ ኡቲዳ ሾምቦቆካ ሜንꬄናኔ ጩዋቲዛ ሙቃዳካ ቶይሴና፤ ኣይዛቤቲ ኢዛ ኡፋይሳን ናጋና» ጌቴቲ ዮቴቲዳ ቲንቢቴ ቃላይ ፖሌታና።BSBBSB: This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:
18. 22GMVEሄሳፌ ጉዬ ዳይዳንꬂ ኦይኪን ጼላናሲኔ ሃሳያናስ ዳንዳዮንታ ኢሲ ኣስ ዬሱሳኮ ኤኪ ዪዳ። ዬሱሲካ ኢዛ ፓꬂን ኣዴዚ ጼላናሲኔ ሃሳያናስ ዳንዳይዴስ።BSBBSB: Then a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute was brought to Jesus, and He healed the man so that he could speak and see.
19. 23GMVEኣሳይ ዉሪካ ማላሌቲዲ፥ «ሃይሲ ኣዴዚ ዳዊቴ ናሻ?» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: The crowds were astounded and asked, “Could this be the Son of David?”
20. 24GMVEጊዶ ኣቲን ፋርሳዌቲ ሄሳ ሲዪዲ፥ «ሃይሲ ኣዴዚ ዳይዳንꬅ ኬሲዛይ ዳይዳንꬃ ሃላቃ ቢኤሊዜቡላ ዎልቃን ጻላ ጊዳናስ ቤሴስ» ጊዳ።BSBBSB: But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, “Only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, does this man drive out demons.”
21. 25GMVEዬሱሲካ ኢስታ ቆፋ ኤሪዲ፥ «ባ ጊዶን ኢሶይ ኢሳፌ ሻኬቲዛ ካዎቴꬂ ዉሪካ ኩንዳና፤ ባ ጊዶን ሻኬቲዛ ካታማይ ዎይኮ ኬꬃ ኣሲ ሚኔና።BSBBSB: Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.
22. 26GMVEጻላኤይ ጻላኤ ኬሲዛ ጊዲኮ ጻላኤይ ባ ጊዶን ሻኬቲዴስ ጉሳ። ሄሳꬆ ሃንኮ ኢዛ ካዎቴꬂ ዋኒ ሚናና ዳንዳይዜ?BSBBSB: If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand?
23. 27GMVEታኒ ቢኤሊዜቡላ ዎልቃን ኬሲዛ ጊዲኮ ኢንቴ ናይቲ ኣዛ ዎልቃን ኬሳኔ? ሄሳ ጊሻስ ኢንቴ ናይቲ ኢንቴ ቦላ ፒርዳና።BSBBSB: And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons drive them out? So then, they will be your judges.
24. 28GMVEጊዶ ኣቲን ታኒ ዳይዳንꬅ ኬሲዛይ ጾሳ ኣያናን ጊዲኮ ጾሳ ካዎቴꬂ ኢንቴኮ ዪዴስ ጉሳ።BSBBSB: But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
25. 29GMVE«ዎይኮ ኢሲ ኣሲ ዎልቃራ ዲዛዴ ኬꬄ ጌሊዲ ሚሼ ቦንቃና ኮይኮ ካሴቲዲ ሄ ዎልቃራ ዲዛ ኣዴዛ ኦይኪ ቃቾንታ ዎስቲ ቦንቃኔ? ቃቺዳፔ ጉዬ ቦንቃና ዳንዳዬስ።BSBBSB: Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man’s house and steal his possessions, unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can plunder his house.
26. 30GMVE«ታናራ ጊዶንታዴይ ታናራ ኤቄቴስ፤ ታናራ ኢሲፌ ሺሾንታ ኣሲ ዉሪካ ላሌስ።BSBBSB: He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters.
27. 31GMVEሄሳ ጊሻስ ታ ኢንቴስ ቱሙ ጋይስ፤ ናጋራ ኦሶይኔ ጫሺ ዉሪ ኣሳስ ኣቶ ጌቴታና ሺን ጺሎ ኣያና ጫዪዳዴይ ማሬቴና።BSBBSB: Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
28. 32GMVEኣይ ኣሲካ ኣሳ ና ቦላ ሃሳይዛ ኢታ ቃላ ጊሻስ ማሬታናሺን፥ ጺሎ ኣያና ቦላ ሃሳይዛ ኢታ ቃላይ ጊዲኮ ሃይሳ ሃ ዎዴን ጊዲን ዎይኮ ቡሮ ያና ዎዴን ጊዲን ማሮይ ዴና።BSBBSB: Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the one to come.
29. 33GMVE«ሚꬂ ዉሪ ኣይፌን ኤሬቲዛይሳ ማላ ኢንቴ ሎኦ ኣይፌ ዴማናስ ኢንቴስ ሎኦ ሚꬂ ዶ፤ ኢንቴስ ኢታ ሚꬂ ዲዛ ጊዲኮ ኢንቴ ኢታ ኣይፌ ኤካና።BSBBSB: Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is known by its fruit.
30. 34GMVEኢንቴኖ ማርዜራ ዲዛ ሾሻቶ! ኢንቴ ኢታታ ጊዲ ኡቲዲ ዋኒ ሎኦ ሃሳያናስ ዳንዳዬቲ? ኡሎ ጊዶን ኩሚዳዚ ዶናራ ሃሳዬቴስ።BSBBSB: You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.
31. 35GMVE«ሎኦ ኣሲ ባ ዎዚናን ኩንꬂ ዎꬂዳ ሎኦ ቆፋፔ ሎኦ ሃሳዬስ፤ ኢታ ኣሲካ ባ ዎዚናን ኩንꬂ ዎꬂዳ ኢታቴꬃፌ ኢታ ዮኦ ኬሴስ።BSBBSB: The good man brings good things out of his good store of treasure, and the evil man brings evil things out of his evil store of treasure.
32. 36GMVEጊዶ ኣቲን ታ ኢንቴስ ጊዛይ ኣሳይ ባ ሃሳይዳ ሃዳ ቃላ ኡባ ጊሻስ ፒርዳ ጋላስ ዉሪካ ኦይሼታና።BSBBSB: But I tell you that men will give an account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken.
33. 37GMVEጋሶይካ ኔ ቃላፔ ዴንዲዳይሳን ኔ ጺላዳ ኣታናኔ ኔ ቃላፔ ዴንዲዳይሳን ኔ ቦላ ፒርዴታና» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”
34. 38GMVEሄሳፌ ጉዬ ኢሲ ኢሲ ሙሴ ዎጋ ታማርሲዛይቲኔ ፋርሳዌቲ ዬሱሳ፥ «ኣስታማሬ! ኑ ኔፔ ማላሊሲዛ ማላታ ቤያና ኮዮስ» ጊዳ።BSBBSB: Then some of the scribes and Pharisees said to Him, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from You.”
35. 39GMVEኢዚ ኢስታስ ዛሪዲ፥ «ሃ ኢታኔ ላይማ ዬሌታይ ማላታ ኦይቼስ፤ ጊዶ ኣቲን ናቤ ዮናሳ ማላታፔ ኣቲን ሃራ ማላታይ ኢሜቴና።BSBBSB: Jesus replied, “A wicked and adulterous generation demands a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
36. 40GMVEዮናሲ ጊታ ሞሌ ኡሎ ጊዶን ሄꬑ ቃማኔ ሄꬑ ጋላስ ጋምኢዳ ማላ ኣሳ ናይካ ሄꬑ ጋላሲኔ ሄꬑ ቃማ ቢታ ጋርሳን ጋምኣና።BSBBSB: For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
37. 41GMVEናናዌ ኣሳይ ፒርዳ ጋላስ ሃይሳ ሃ ዬሌታራ ዴንዲዲ ሃ ዬሌታ ቦላ ፒርዳና፤ ጋሶይካ ናናዌ ኣሳይ ዮናሳ ማርካቴꬃን ማሮቴꬅ ጌሊዳ ጊሻሳ። ሄኮ ዮናሳፔ ኣꬊዛዴይ ሃን ዴስ።BSBBSB: The men of Nineveh will stand at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now One greater than Jonah is here.
38. 42GMVEዱጌሃ ዴሬ ካዎያ ሶሎሞኔ ኤራቴꬅ ሲያናስ ቢታ ጋጻፔ ዴንዳዳ ዪዳ ጊሻስ ፒርዳ ጋላስ ኢዛ ሃይሳ ሃ ዬሌታራ ዴንዳዳ ሃ ዬሌታ ቦላ ፒርዳና። ሄኮ ሶሎሞኔፔ ኣꬊዛዴይ ሃይሳን ዴስ።BSBBSB: The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and now One greater than Solomon is here.
39. 43GMVE«ቱና ኣያናይ ኣሳፔ ኬዚዲ ሼምፖ ዴማናስ ሃꬂ ባይንዳ ሜላ ቢታን ዳቡሬስ። ጊዶ ኣቲን ባ ኮይዛ ሼምፖዛ ዴሜና።BSBBSB: When an unclean spirit comes out of a man, it passes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it.
40. 44GMVEሄሳፌ ቃሴ ካሴ ታ ዲዛሶ ሲማ ባና ጊዲ ቤኒሶ ኢዚ ሲሚሺን ካሴ ኢዚ ዲዛሶይ ኣይኮይካ ባይንዳ ሜላ ኬꬄ ጊዲዲ ጌዪዳይሳኔ ጊጌቲ ዲዛይሳ ዴሜስ።BSBBSB: Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ On its return, it finds the house vacant, swept clean, and put in order.
41. 45GMVEሄሳፌ ቢዲ ሃራ ባፔ ኢቲዛ ላፑን ኢታ ኣያናታ ባናራ ኤኪዲ ዬስ። ኢስቲካ ሄ ኣዴዛን ጌሊዲ ዴኣና። ሄ ኣዴዛስ ካሴ ዱሳፌ ጉዬ ዱሳይ ኢታ ጊዳና። ሃይሳ ኢታ ዬሌታስካ ሄሳ ማላ ሃናና» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and dwell there. And the final plight of that man is worse than the first. So will it be with this wicked generation.”
42. 46GMVEዬሱሲ ኣሳስ ዮቲሺን ኢዛ ኣዬያኔ ኢሻቲ ኢዛ ዮቻና ኮዪዲ ካሬን ኤቂዳ።BSBBSB: While Jesus was still speaking to the crowds, His mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to Him.
43. 47GMVEኢሲ ኣሲ፥ «ሄኮ ኔ ኣያኔ ኔ ኢሻቲ ኔና ሃሳይሳናስ ካሬን ኤቂዲ ኔና ኮዬቴስ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: Someone told Him, “Look, Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to You.”
44. 48GMVEዬሱሲካ፥ «ታ ኣያ ኦኔ? ታ ኢሻቲች! ኢስቲ ኦናንቴ?» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: But Jesus replied, “Who is My mother, and who are My brothers?”
45. 49GMVEባ ኩሼራ ባና ካሊዛይታኮ ማላቲዲ፥ «ታ ኣያኔ ታ ኢሻቲ ሃይታንታ።BSBBSB: Pointing to His disciples, He said, “Here are My mother and My brothers.
46. 50GMVEሳሎን ዲዛ ታ ኣዋ ሼኔ ኦꬂዛይቲ ዉሪካ ታስ ኢሻ፥ ሚቾኔ ኣዮ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.”
