1. 1GMVEዳሮ ዴሬይ ሺቂዳይሳ ቤኢዲ ዬሱሲ ፑዴ ዙማ ቦላ ኬዚ ኡቲዴስ፤ ኢዛ ካሊዛይቲካ ኢዛኮ ዪዳ።BSBBSB: When Jesus saw the crowds, He went up on the mountain and sat down. His disciples came to Him,
2. 2GMVEኢዚካ ኢስታ ሂዝጊ ታማርሶ ኦይኪዴስ፤BSBBSB: and He began to teach them, saying:
3. 3GMVE«ኣያናን ባና ካዉሺዛይቲ ኣንጄቲዳይታ፤ ኣይስ ጊኮ ሳሎ ካዎቴꬂ ኢስታሳ።BSBBSB: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4. 4GMVEቃꬌቲዛይቲ ኣንጄቲዳይታ፥ ኣይስ ጊኮ ኢስቲ ሚኔታና።BSBBSB: Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
5. 5GMVEኣሽኬቲ ኣንጄቲዳይታ፤ ኣይስ ጊኮ ኢስቲ ቢታ ላታና።BSBBSB: Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
6. 6GMVEጺሎቴꬅ ጋፊዛይቲኔ ሳሜቲዛይቲ ኣንጄቲዳይታ፤ ኣይስ ጊኮ ኢስቲ ካላና።BSBBSB: Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
7. 7GMVEኣሳስ ሎኦ ኦꬂዛይቲ ኣንጄቲዳይታ፤ ኣይስ ጊኮ ኢስታስካ ሎኦይ ኦሴታና።BSBBSB: Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
8. 8GMVEዎዚና ጺሎቲ ኣንጄቲዳይታ፤ ኣይስ ጊኮ ኢስቲ ጾሳ ቤያና።BSBBSB: Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
9. 9GMVEሳሮቴꬅ ኦꬂዛይቲ ኣንጄቲዳይታ፤ ኣይስ ጊኮ ኢስቲ ጾሳ ናይታ ጌቴቲ ጼይጌታና።BSBBSB: Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
10. 10GMVEጺሎቴꬃ ጊሻስ ጎዴቲዛይቲ ኣንጄቲዳይታ፤ ኣይስ ጊኮ ሳሎ ካዎቴꬂ ኢስታሳ።BSBBSB: Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11. 11GMVE«ታ ጋሶን ኣሳይ ኢንቴና ጫዪኮ፥ ጎዲኮኔ ኢታ ዮኦ ዎርዶራ ኢንቴ ቦላ ሃሳይኮ ኢንቴ ኣንጄቲዳይታ።BSBBSB: Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.
12. 12GMVEኢንቴ ሳሎን ዴማና ዋጋይ ኬሂ ጊታ ጊዲዳ ጊሻስ ኡፋይሳን ጉፒቴ። ኢንቴፌ ሲንꬃን ዲዛ ናቤታካ ሄሳꬆ ጎዲዳ።BSBBSB: Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets before you.
13. 13GMVE«ኢንቴ ሃ ቢታ ኣሳስ ማጺኔ ማላ። ማጺኔይ ባ ማልኦቴꬃ ዬዲዛ ጊዲኮ ጌዴ ካሬ ዬጌቲዲ ዬꬌቴꬃፌ ኣቲን ዛሪዲ ዴማናስ ዳንዳይዜ?BSBBSB: You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its savor, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.
14. 14GMVEኢንቴ ኣላሜስ ፖኦ። ዙማ ቦላ ዲዛ ካታማያ ቆቴታናስ ዳንዳያኩ።BSBBSB: You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.
15. 15GMVEኣሲ ጾምፔ ኦይꬂዲ ኬꬃን ዲዛ ኣሳ ኩሜꬃስ ፖኣና ማላ ꬎቃሶሆን ዎꬄስ ኣቲን ጌማሶሆን ዎꬂ ኤሬና።BSBBSB: Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a basket. Instead, they set it on a stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
16. 16GMVEሄሳꬆካ ኣሳይ ኢንቴ ሎኦ ኦሶ ቤኢዲ ሳሎን ዲዛ ኢንቴ ኣዋ ቦንቻና ማላ ኢንቴ ፖኦይ ኣሳ ሲንꬃን ፖኦ።BSBBSB: In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
17. 17GMVE«ታኒ ሙሴ ዎጋኔ ናቤታ ቃላ ሻራና ዪዳ ኢንቴስ ሚሳቶፖ፤ ፖላናስ ያዲስ ኣቲን ሻራናስ ያቤኬ።BSBBSB: Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them.
18. 18GMVEታ ኢንቴስ ቱሙ ጋይስ፥ ሳሎይኔ ሳኣይ ኣꬋና ጋካናስ ሙሴ ዎጋይ ዉሪ ፖሌታና ኣቲን ዎጋፔ ኢሲ ፒዳሌይካ ዎይኮ ቄሪናካ ሻሬቱኩ።BSBBSB: For I tell you truly, until heaven and earth pass away, not a single jot, not a stroke of a pen, will disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
19. 19GMVEሄሳ ጊሻስ ኦኒካ ሃ ኣዛዞታፔ ጉጺዛሮ ጊዲኮካ ኦꬆንታ ዬጊ ኣꬊኮ፥ ሃንኮይታካ ዬꬊ ኣꬋና ማላ ታማርሲኮ ሳሎ ካዎቴꬃን ሄሳዴይ ጉꬅ ጌቴቲ ጼይጌታና፤ ጊዶ ኣቲን ሃይታ ኣዛዞታ ኦꬂ ፖሊሼ ሃንኮይታ ፖላና ማላ ታማርሲኮ ሄሳዴይ ሳሎ ካዎቴꬃን ጊታ ጌቴታና።BSBBSB: So then, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do likewise will be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever practices and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20. 20GMVEታ ኢንቴስ ጋይስ፥ ኢንቴ ጺሎቴꬂ ፋርሳዌታፔኔ ሙሴ ዎጋ ታማርሲዛይታ ጺሎቴꬃፌ ኣꬎንታ ኣጊኮ ሳሎ ካዎቴꬅ ጌላና ዳንዳዬኬታ።BSBBSB: For I tell you that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
21. 21GMVE«ካሴ ኣሳታስ፥ ‹ዎꬎፓ፤ ዎꬊዳዴ ቦላ ፒርዴታና› ጌቴቲዳይሳ ኢንቴ ሲዪዴታ።BSBBSB: You have heard that it was said to the ancients, ‘Do not murder’ and ‘Anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’
22. 22GMVEታ ቃሴ ኢንቴስ ጊዛይ ባ ኢሻ ቦላ ኦጌይ ባይንዳ ሃንቄቲዛዴ ቦላ ፒርዴታና፤ ኦኒካ ባ ኢሻ፥ ‹ናፓይ› ጊዛዴይ ዱላታ ሲንꬃን ኦይሼታና። ‹ኤያይ› ጊዛዴ ጋናሜ ታማ ፒርዳይ ናጌስ።BSBBSB: But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, ‘Raca,’ will be subject to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be subject to the fire of hell.
23. 23GMVEሄሳ ጊሻስ ኔኒ ያርሾ ሺሺዛሶን ጾሳስ ያርሻና ጊሺን ኔ ኢሻይ ኔ ቦላ ሚሼቲዳዚ ኔስ ቆፌቲኮ፥BSBBSB: So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you,
24. 24GMVEኔ ያርሺዛይሳ ሄን ያርሺዛሶን ኣጋዳ ኮይሮ ባዳ ኔ ኢሻራ ጊጋ፤ ሄሳፌ ጉዬ ሲማዳ ኔ ያርሾዛ ጾሳስ ሺሻ።BSBBSB: leave your gift there before the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.
25. 25GMVE«ኔና ሞቲዳ ኔ ሞርኬይ ኔ ቦላ ፒርዲሶንታ ማላ፥ ፒርዲዛ ዳናይ ቃቺዛይሳስ ኔና ኣꬂ ኢሞንታ ማላ፥ ቃሾ ኬꬃን ኔ ዎꬎንታ ማላ ቡሮ ኦጌ ቦላ ዳሼ ኔ ሞርኬራ ኤሌላ ጊጋይቻ።BSBBSB: Reconcile quickly with your adversary, while you are still on the way to court. Otherwise, he may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison.
26. 26GMVEታ ኔስ ቱሙ ጋይስ፤ ኢዚ ፒርዲሲ ዉርሲዳ ጊዲኮ ዉርሴꬃ ሳንቲዮ ቃንጻና ጋካናስ ቃሾፔ ኔኒ ቢርሼታካ።BSBBSB: Truly I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny.
27. 27GMVE« ‹ላይማቶፓ› ጊዛይሳ ኢንቴ ሲዪዴታ።BSBBSB: You have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery.’
28. 28GMVEታኒ ጊዲኮ ኢንቴና ሂዝጋይስ፤ ማጫስ ኣሞ ኣይፌራ ጼሊዳዴይ ዉሪ ባ ዎዚናን ኢዚራ ላይማቲዴስ።BSBBSB: But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
29. 29GMVEናጋራ ኦꬃናስ ኔ ኡሻቻ ኣይፌይ ኔስ ጋሶ ጊዲኮ ኔፔ ኬሳ ዎራ ዬጋ፤ ኔ ኣሳቴꬃይ ኩሜꬅ ጌዴ ጋናሜ ታማን ዬጌታናፔ ኔ ኣሳቴꬃፌ ኢሲና ፓጪኮ ሎኦ።BSBBSB: If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
30. 30GMVEኔ ኡሻቻ ኩሼይ ናጋራ ኦሶስ ጋሶ ጊዲኮ ኔፔ ቃንጻ ዲጋ፤ ኔ ኣሳቴꬃይ ኩሜꬅ ጋናሜን ዬጌታናይሳፌ ኔ ኣሳቴꬃፌ ኢሲ ቢሊቴይ ኔስ ፓጬ ጊዲኮ ሎኦ።BSBBSB: And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to depart into hell.
31. 31GMVE« ‹ማቾ ኣንጂ ዬዲዛዴይ ፒርማ ዋራቃታ ኢዚስ ኢማና ቤሴስ› ጌቴቲዴስ።BSBBSB: It has also been said, ‘Whoever divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.’
32. 32GMVEታኒ ቃሴ ኢንቴና ሂዝጋይስ፥ ሃራ ኣሳራ ላይማቲሺን ቤኦንታ ዲሼ ባ ማቾ ኣንጂዛዴይ ዉሪ ኢዛ ላይማታና ማላ ኦꬄስ። ሄሳꬆካ ኣንጄቲዳሮ ኤኪዛዴይካ ላይማቲዳ ማላ ቆዴቴስ።BSBBSB: But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, brings adultery upon her. And he who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
33. 33GMVE«ካሴ ኣሳታስ፥ ‹ዎርዶ ጫቆፋ፤ ጾሳ ሲንꬃን ኔ ጫቂዳይሳ ናጋ› ጌቴቲዳይሳ ኢንቴ ሲዪዴታ።BSBBSB: Again, you have heard that it was said to the ancients, ‘Do not break your oath, but fulfill your vows to the Lord.’
34. 34GMVEታ ቃሴ ኢንቴና ኣይኮካ ጫቆፍቴ ጋይስ፤ ሳሎይ ጾሳስ ኡቲዛ ኣራታ ጊዲዳ ጊሻስ ሳሎን ጫቆፍቴ።BSBBSB: But I tell you not to swear at all: either by heaven, for it is God’s throne;
35. 35GMVEቢታይ ጾሳ ቶሆይ ዬꬊዛሶ ጊዲዳ ጊሻስ ቢታንካ ጫቆፍቴ። ዎጋ ካዎ ካታማ ጊዲዳ ጊሻስ ዬሩሳላሜንካ ጫቆፍቴ።BSBBSB: or by the earth, for it is His footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.
36. 36GMVEኢንቴ ሁኤንካ ጫቆፍቴ፤ ኢንቴ ሁኤ ቢናናፔ ኢሲኔዮካ ቦꬅ ዎይኮ ካሬꬅ ሂስታናስ ዳንዳዬኬታ።BSBBSB: Nor should you swear by your head, for you cannot make a single hair white or black.
37. 37GMVEሄሳ ጊሻስ ኢንቴ ኢንቴ ጊዶን ሃሳዬቲሺን ኢንቴ ሃሳያይ፥ ‹ኤ› ጋናዝ ጊዲኮ፥ ‹ኤ› ጊቴ፤ ‹ኣካይ› ጋናዝ ጊዲኮ፥ ‹ኣካይ› ጊቴ፤ ሄሳፌ ሃራይ ዉሪ ኢታ ኣሳፔ ዪዛዛ።BSBBSB: Simply let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ Anything more comes from the evil one.
38. 38GMVE« ‹ኣይፌ ጊሻስ ኣይፌ፥ ኣች ጊሻስ ኣች› ጌቴቲዳይሳ ኢንቴ ሲዪዴታ።BSBBSB: You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye and tooth for tooth.’
39. 39GMVEታ ቃሴ ኢንቴስ ጊዛይ ኢታ ኦꬂዳዴራ ኤቄቶፍቴ፤ ጊዶ ኣቲን ኔስ ኡሻቻ ሻጋላ ባቂዛዴስ ሃንኮይሳካ ዩሻ ቤሳ።BSBBSB: But I tell you not to resist an evil person. If someone slaps you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also;
40. 40GMVEኢሲ ኣሲ ኔኒ ጋርሳራ ማይኢዳይሳ ኔፔ ኤካናስ ኔና ሞቲኮ ቦላራ ማይኢዳይሳካ ጉጃዳ ኢዛስ ኢማ።BSBBSB: if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well;
41. 41GMVEኢሲ ኣሲ ኔና ኢሲ ሳቴ ኦጌ ኔ ባና ማላ ዎልቃꬂኮ ኢሲፌ ናምኡ ዳኮ ጊዳና ኦጌ ኢዛራ ባ።BSBBSB: and if someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles.
42. 42GMVEኔና ዎሲዛዴስ ኢማ፤ ኔፔ ታልኤ ኤካናስ ኮይዛዴስ ዞኮ ዛሮፓ።BSBBSB: Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.
43. 43GMVE« ‹ኔ ላጌ ሲቃ፤ ኔ ሞርኬ ኢጻ› ጌቴቲዳይሳ ሲዪዴታ።BSBBSB: You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor’ and ‘Hate your enemy.’
44. 44GMVEታ ቃሴ ኢንቴና ኢንቴ ሞርኬታ ዶሲቴ፤ ኢንቴና ጎዲዛይታስ ዎሲቴ ጋይስ።BSBBSB: But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
45. 45GMVEኢንቴ ሄሳꬆ ኦꬂኮ ኢንቴ ሳሎ ኣዋስ ናይታ ጊዳና። ኢዚ ኣርሼ ኢታታሲኔ ሎኦታስ ኢሲ ቦላ ጋꬂ ኢሜስ። ኢራካ ጺሎታሲኔ ናጋራንቻታስ ኢሲ ቦላ ቡኪሴስ።BSBBSB: that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
46. 46GMVEኢንቴና ዶሲዛይታ ጻላ ኢንቴ ዶሲኮ ኢንቴስ ኣዛ ጎኣይ ዲዜ? ቃራጻ ቃንጺሲዛይቲ ሄሳꬆ ኦꬄቴኔ?BSBBSB: If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Do not even tax collectors do the same?
47. 47GMVEኢንቴ ኢሻታ ጻላ ኢንቴ ሳሮቲኮ ሃንኮይታፔ ኣዛን ሎኤቲ? ኣማኖንታይቲካ ሄሳꬆ ኦꬄቴስ።BSBBSB: And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even Gentiles do the same?
48. 48GMVEሄሳ ጊሻስ ኢንቴ ሳሎ ኣዋይ ዎሶይ ባይንዳይታስ ጊዲዳ ማላ ኢንቴካ ዎሶይ ባይንዳዴ ጊዲቴ።BSBBSB: Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
