1. 1GOFEየሱሲ ኤንታዉ ሌምሶን ያግድ ኦድስ፦ “እስ ኡራይ ዎይነ ቶክድ፥ እያ ዩሾን ድርስ ድርስ። ቃስ ሄ ዎይነ ጉምእያ ኦላ ቦክስ። እያ ናጋናዉ አዱሳ ሻኮ ሻክስ። ሄሳፈ ጉየ፥ ኮ ኦꬅያ አሳስ እምድ፥ ሀራ ቢታ ብስ።BSBBSB: Then Jesus began to speak to them in parables: “A man planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a wine vat, and built a watchtower. Then he rented it out to some tenants and went away on a journey.
2. 2GOFEዎይነ አይፍያ ማፅያ ዎደይ ጋክን፥ ባና ጋክያ ግሹዋ ኤሀና መላ፥ እስ ባ አይልያ ኮ አዋታኮ የድስ።BSBBSB: At harvest time, he sent a servant to the tenants to collect his share of the fruit of the vineyard.
3. 3GOFEኮ አዋት እያ አይልያ ኦይክድ ዋꬍድ፥ መላ ኩሸ የድዶሶና።BSBBSB: But they seized the servant, beat him, and sent him away empty-handed.
4. 4GOFEናምአንꬆ ሀራ አይለ ኤንታኮ ኪትን፥ ኤንቲ ሄ አይልያ ሁጵያ ቆእድ ካዉሽድ የድዶሶና።BSBBSB: Then he sent them another servant, and they struck him over the head and treated him shamefully.
5. 5GOFEዎይነ አታክልትያ ጎዳይ ቃስካ ሀራ አይለ ኪትስ። ሄ አይልያ ዎꬍዶሶና፥ ቃስ ሀራ ዳሮታ ሄሳዳ ኦꬅዶሶና፥ እሶታ እሶታ ዋꬍድ፥ ሀራታ ዎꬍዶሶና።BSBBSB: He sent still another, and this one they killed. He sent many others; some they beat and others they killed.
6. 6GOFE“ዎይነ አታክልትያ ጎዳስ ኪታናዉ ኡባፈ ዉርሰꬃን እ ዳሮ ዶስያ ባ ናኣ ፃላል አትስ። እ፥ ‘ኤንቲ ታ ናኣ ቦንቾና አጎኮና’ ግድ፥ ባ ናኣ ኤንታኮ ኪትስ።BSBBSB: Finally, having one beloved son, he sent him to them. ‘They will respect my son,’ he said.
7. 7GOFE“ሽን ኮ አዋት ባንታ ግዶን፥ ‘ላታናይስ ሀይሳ፤ የꬍተ እያ ዎꬎኦስ፤ እያ ላታይ ኑባ ግዳና!’ ያግዶሶና።BSBBSB: But the tenants said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’
8. 8GOFEናኣ ኦይክድ ዎꬍድ፥ እያ አሀ ዎይነ ጋድያ ግዶፈ ጋፃ ከስድ የግዶሶና።BSBBSB: So they seized the son, killed him, and threw him out of the vineyard.
9. 9GOFE“ህዛ፥ ዎይነ ጋድያ ጎዳይ ዋታኔ? ይድ ሄ ኮ አዋታ ዎꬍ ኦንግድ፥ ዎይንያ ኮ ኦꬅያ ሀራ አሳስ እማና።BSBBSB: What then will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and kill those tenants and give the vineyard to others.
10. 10GOFE“ ‘ግምበይሳት ቦርድ እፅዳ ሹቻይ ጎዳ ፃጱዋ ምንꬅያ፥ ኡባፈ አꬍያ ሹቹ ግድስ። ሀይስ ጎዳይ ኦꬅዳባ፤ ቃስ ኑ አይፍያስካ ማላልስያባ’ ያገይሳ ጌሻ ማፃፋፐ ናባብበከቲ?” ያግስ።BSBBSB: Have you never read this Scripture: ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.
11. 12GOFEካህነ ሀላቃት፥ ህገ አስታማረትነ ጭማት የሱሲ ሄ ሌምሱዋ ባንታ ቦላ ሌምስዳይሳ ኤርዳ ግሾ፥ እያ ኦይካናዉ ኮይዶሶና፥ ሽን አሳስ ያይድ፥ አግድ ብዶሶና።BSBBSB: At this, the leaders sought to arrest Jesus, for they knew that He had spoken this parable against them. But fearing the crowd, they left Him and went away.
12. 13GOFEቃስ እያ ኦዳፐ ባላ ደምድ፥ እያ ኦይካና መላ፥ ፋርሳወታፐነ ሄሮዲሳ ባጋታፐ ጉꬃ አሳታ እያኮ ኪትዶሶና።BSBBSB: Later, they sent some of the Pharisees and Herodians to catch Jesus in His words.
13. 14GOFEኤንቲ እያኮ ይድ፥ “አስታማርያዉ፥ ኔኒ ቱማ ኦደተይሳነ አሳፐ አሰ ሻኮናይሳ ኑኒ ኤሮስ። ኔኒ አሰ ዱማያካ፤ ቃስ ፆሳ ኦግያ ቱማተꬃን ታማርሳሳ። ኑኒ ሮመ ቢታ ካዋ ቄሳረስ ጊራ ጊረይስ ዎገየ ዎጋ ግደኔ? ጊራ ጊራነ አጋኔ?” ያግዶሶና።BSBBSB: “Teacher,” they said, “we know that You are honest and seek favor from no one. Indeed, You are impartial and teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar or not? Should we pay them or not?”
14. 15GOFEሽን የሱሲ ኤንታ ጩቦተꬃ ኤርድ፥ “ታና አይስ ፓጨቲ? አነ እስ ሳንትመ ታና በስተ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: But Jesus saw through their hypocrisy and said, “Why are you testing Me? Bring Me a denarius to inspect.”
15. 16GOFEኤንቲ እያዉ ኤህዶሶና፥ “ሀ ምስለይነ ሱንꬃይ ኦደባዬ?” ያግድ ኤንታ ኦይችስ። ኤንቲ፥ “ሮመ ካዋ ቄሳረይሳ” ያግዶሶና።BSBBSB: So they brought it, and He asked them, “Whose image is this? And whose inscription?” “Caesar’s,” they answered.
16. 17GOFEየሱሲ ዛሪድ፥ “ያትኮ፥ ቄሳረባ ቄሳረስ፥ ፆሳባ ፆሳስ እምተ” ያግን ኤንቲ እያባ ማላለትዶሶና።BSBBSB: Then Jesus told them, “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.” And they marveled at Him.
17. 18GOFEሀይቅዳ አስ ደንደና ግያ ሳዱቃወታፐ እስ እስ አሳት የሱሳኮ ይድ፥ ሀይሳዳ ያግድ፥ እያ ኦይችዶሶና።BSBBSB: Then the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to Jesus and questioned Him:
18. 19GOFE“አስታማርያዉ፥ ሙሰይ ኑስ ህግያ ፃፍሸ፥ ‘ማቾ ኤክዳ አስ ናአ የሎና ሀይቅኮ፥ ሄ ሀይቅዳይሳ እሻይ እያ ማችዉ ኤክድ፥ ባ እሻስ ናአ የላናዉ በሴስ’ ያግስ።BSBBSB: “Teacher, Moses wrote for us that if a man’s brother dies and leaves a wife but no children, the man is to marry his brother’s widow and raise up offspring for him.
19. 20GOFEበን ዎደ ላፑን እሻት ደኤይሳታፐ ባይራይ ማቾ ኤክድ፥ ናአ የሎና ሀይቅስ።BSBBSB: Now there were seven brothers. The first one married and died, leaving no children.
20. 21GOFEናምአንꬆይ እዮ ኤክስ፥ እካ ናአ የሎና ሀይቅስ። ሄꬓንꬆይካ ሄሳዳ ሀንስ።BSBBSB: Then the second one married the widow, but he also died and left no children. And the third did likewise.
21. 22GOFEላፑናትካ ሄሳꬆ እዮ ኤክድ፥ ናአ የሎና ሀይቅዶሶና። ኡባፈ ጉየ፥ ቃስ ሄ ማጫስያ ሀይቃሱ።BSBBSB: In this way, none of the seven left any children. And last of all, the woman died.
22. 23GOFEያትን፥ ላፑናት እዮ ኤክዳ ግሾ ሀይቅዳ አሳይ ሀይቆፐ ደንድያ ጋላስ፥ እያ ኤንታፈ አዉሳስ ማቾ ግዳኔ?” ያግዶሶና።BSBBSB: In the resurrection, then, whose wife will she be? For all seven were married to her.”
23. 24GOFEየሱሲ ዛሪድ፥ “ህንተ ባለተይ፥ ጌሻ ማፃፋታ ዎይኮ ፆሳ ዎልቃ ኤሮና ግሾሳ!BSBBSB: Jesus said to them, “Aren’t you mistaken, because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God?
24. 25GOFEሀይቅዳ አሳይ ሀይቆፐ ደንድያ ጋላስ፥ ሳሎን ደእያ ኪታንቾታ መላ ግዳናፐ አትሽን፥ ኤኮኮና፤ ገለኮና።BSBBSB: When the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage. Instead, they will be like the angels in heaven.
25. 26GOFEሽን ሀይቅዳይሳታ ደንዱዋባ ግድኮ፥ ሙሰ ማፃፋን ፃፈትዳ ፁገትያ ቱሽያባ ኦድያ በሳን፥ ፆሳይ ሙሰኮ፥ ‘ታኒ፥ አብራሃመ ፆሳ፥ ይሳቃ ፆሳ፥ ያይቆባ ፆሳ’ ግዳይሳ ናባብበከቲ?BSBBSB: But concerning the dead rising, have you not read about the burning bush in the Book of Moses, how God told him, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?
26. 27GOFEሄሳ ግሾ፥ እ፥ ፓፃ ደኤይሳታ ፆሳፈ አትሽን፥ ሀይቅዳይሳታ ፆሰ ግደና። ህንተ ዳሮ ባልደታ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You are badly mistaken!”
27. 28GOFEህገ አስታማረታፐ እሶይ ኤንቲ ፓላመይሳ ሺቅድ ስእስ። ቃስ የሱሲ ኤንታዉ ሎይꬅ ዛርዳይሳ ስእድ፥ “ኪታ ኡባፈ አꬍያ ኪታይ አዉሴ?” ያግድ የሱሳ ኦይችስ።BSBBSB: Now one of the scribes had come up and heard their debate. Noticing how well Jesus had answered them, he asked Him, “Which commandment is the most important of all?”
28. 29GOFEየሱሲ ዛሪድ፥ እያ ሀይሳዳ ያግስ፦ “ኪታ ኡባፈ አꬍያ ኪታ ስእተ፤ ‘እስራኤለ አሳዉ፥ ጎዳይ ኑ ፆሳይ እስ ጎዳ።BSBBSB: Jesus replied, “This is the most important: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One.
29. 30GOFEነ ጎዳ ነ ፆሳ ነ ኩመꬃ ዎዛናፐ፥ ነ ኩመꬃ ሸምፑዋፈ፥ ነ ኩመꬃ ቆፋፐ፥ ነ ኩመꬃ ዎልቃፈ ዶሳ’ ያጌስ።BSBBSB: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’
30. 31GOFEቃስ ኪታ ኡባፈ አꬍያ ናምአንꬆ ኪታይ ሀይሳ፤ ‘አሰ ኡባ ነ ሁጵያዳ ዶሳ’ ያገይሳ፤ ሀይሳታፐ አꬍያ ሀራ ኪት ባዋ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.”
31. 32GOFEህገ አስታማረይ የሱሳኮ፥ “አስታማርያዉ፥ ቱማ ጋዳሳ፤ ኔኒ ‘ፆሳይ እስ ፆሳ ፃላላ። እያፐ አትሽን፥ ሀር ባዋ’ ግዳይስ ቱማ።BSBBSB: “Right, Teacher,” the scribe replied. “You have stated correctly that God is One and there is no other but Him,
32. 33GOFEፆሳ ኩመꬃ ዎዛናፐ፥ ኩመꬃ ቆፋፐነ ኩመꬃ ዎልቃፈ ዶሰይስነ ቃስ አሰ ኡባ ባ ሁጵያዳ ዶሰይስ፥ ፁሳ ያርሾፈነ ሀራ ያርሾ ኡባፈ አꬌስ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: and to love Him with all your heart and with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself. This is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
33. 34GOFEየሱሲ ህገ አስታማርያ ዛሮይ አꬍዳ ኤራንቾ አሳ ዛሮ ግድዳይሳ በእድ፥ “ኔኒ ፆሳ ካዎተꬃፈ ሃካባካ” ያግስ፤ ሄሳፈ ጉየ፥ የሱሳ ሀራባ ኦይቻናዉ ኦንካ ምንቤና።BSBBSB: When Jesus saw that the man had answered wisely, He said, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” And no one dared to question Him any further.
34. 35GOFEየሱሲ ፆሳ ኬꬃን ታማርስሸ፥ ሀይሳዳ ያግስ፦ “ህገ አስታማረት ክርስቶሳ ዎይግድ ዳዊታ ናአ ጎና?BSBBSB: While Jesus was teaching in the temple courts, He asked, “How can the scribes say that the Christ is the Son of David?
35. 36GOFEዳዊቲ ጌሻ አያናን ኩምድ፥ “ ‘ጎዳይ፥ ታ ጎዳ፥ “ታኒ ነ ሞርከታ ነ ቶሆይ የꬍያሶ ኦꬃና ጋካናዉ፥ ሀይሳን ታፐ ኡሻቻ ባጋራ ኡታ” ግስ’ ያግስ።BSBBSB: Speaking by the Holy Spirit, David himself declared: ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand until I put Your enemies under Your feet.”’
36. 37GOFEዳዊቲ ባ ሁጰን ክርስቶሳ፥ ‘ጎዳ’ ግድ ፄግኮ፥ ያትን፥ ክርስቶስ ዋንድ፥ ዳዊታ ናአ ግድ?” ያግስ። ዳሮ አሳይ የሱሲ ገይሳ ኡፋይሳን ስእዶሶና።BSBBSB: David himself calls Him ‘Lord.’ So how can He be David’s son?” And the large crowd listened to Him with delight.
37. 38GOFEየሱሲ ታማርስሸ፥ ሀይሳዳ ያግስ፦ “ህገ አስታማረታፐ ናገትተ፤ ኤንቲ አዱሳ ማኦ ማእድ ዩየይሳነ ግያንካ አሳይ ኤንታ ቦንችድ ሳሮይሳ ዶሶሶና።BSBBSB: In His teaching Jesus also said, “Watch out for the scribes. They like to walk around in long robes, to receive greetings in the marketplaces,
38. 39GOFEኤንቲ አይሁደ ዎሳ ኬꬃታን ዳሮ ሎእያ ኦይድያ ዶሶሶና፤ ቃስ አስ ባንታና ሞክያ በሳን ቦንቾ በሲ ዶሶሶና።BSBBSB: and to have the chief seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets.
39. 40GOFEኤንቲ አምኤታ ኬꬃ ቦንቅድ፥ ባንታዉ ሎኦ ዳናናዉ ዎሳ አዱሶሶና፤ ኤንቲ ኡባፈ አꬍያ ፕርዳ ኤካና” ያግስ።BSBBSB: They defraud widows of their houses, and for a show make lengthy prayers. These men will receive greater condemnation.”
40. 41GOFEየሱሲ ፆሳ ኬꬃን ሙፃታ የግያ ሳፅንያ ማታን ኡትድ፥ አሳይ ባ ሚሽያ ሄ ሳፅንያን የገይሳ በእስ፤ ዳሮ ዱረ አሳይ ዳሮ ሚሽያ ሄ ሳፅንያን የጎሶና።BSBBSB: As Jesus was sitting opposite the treasury, He watched the crowd putting money into it. And many rich people put in large amounts.
41. 42GOFEእስ ማንቆ አምእያ ያዳ፥ ናምኡ ባካና ሄ ሳፅንያን የጋሱ።BSBBSB: Then one poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which amounted to a small fraction of a denarius.
42. 43GOFEየሱሲ ባ ታማረታ ፄግድ፥ “ታኒ ህንተዉ ቱማ ኦዳይስ፤ ሙፃታ ሳፅንያን የግዳ አሳ ኡባፈ ሀ ማንቆ አምእያ ዳርሳዳ የጋሱ።BSBBSB: Jesus called His disciples to Him and said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more than all the others into the treasury.
43. 44GOFEአይስ ጊኮ፥ ሀራት ኡባይ ባንታዉ ፓላህዳ ሚሽያፐ የግዶሶና። ሽን እያ ባ ፓጫፐ፥ ባዉ ደእያ አቁዋ ኩመꬅ እማሱ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: For they all contributed out of their surplus, but she out of her poverty has put in all she had to live on.”
