1. 1GOFEጉꬃ ጋላሳፐ ጉየ፥ የሱሲ ቅፍርናሆማ ስሚድ፥ ሶን ደኤስ ግያ ኦዳይ ስኤትስ።BSBBSB: A few days later Jesus went back to Capernaum. And when the people heard that He was home,
2. 2GOFEአሳ ኬꬃይ ኤኮና እፅን፥ ሀር አቶሽን ካረይካ ፁማና ጋካናዉ ዳሮ አሳይ ሺቅን፥ የሱሲ ቃላ ታማርስስ።BSBBSB: they gathered in such large numbers that there was no more room, not even outside the door, as Jesus spoke the word to them.
3. 3GOFEኦይዱ አሳት እስ ጉንዳ ኡራ ቶክድ እያኮ ኤህዶሶና።BSBBSB: Then a paralytic was brought to Him, carried by four men.
4. 4GOFEአሳይ ዳርዳ ግሾ፥ ኡራ የሱሳኮ ሺሻናዉ ኤንታዉ ዳንዳኤቶና እፅን፥ የሱሲ ደእያ ግናራ ኬꬃ ቃርድ፥ ካራ ቃዉፅድ ኡራ እ ዝንእዳ አልጋራ ዱገ የድድ የሱሳ ስንꬃን ዎꬍስዶሶና።BSBBSB: Since they were unable to get to Jesus through the crowd, they uncovered the roof above Him, made an opening, and lowered the paralytic on his mat.
5. 5GOFEየሱሲ ኤንታ አማኑዋ በእድ፥ ሄ ጉንዳ ኡራ፥ “ታ ናአዉ፥ ነ ናጋራይ አቶ ጌተትስ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”
6. 6GOFEህገ አስታማረታፐ ሄ በሳን ኡትዳ እሶት እሶት ባንታ ዎዛናን፥BSBBSB: But some of the scribes were sitting there and thinking in their hearts,
7. 7GOFE“ላ ሀ ኡራይ ሀይሳ መላ ኢታባ ፆሳ ቦላ አይስ ኦዴቲ? ፆሳ ፃላላፐ አትሽን፥ ሀር ኦን ናጋራ አቶ ጋናዉ ዳንዳኢ?” ግድ ቆፕዶሶና።BSBBSB: “Why does this man speak like this? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
8. 8GOFEኤንቲ ባንታ ዎዛናን ሄሳዳ ቆፕዳይሳ የሱሲ ኤለስድ ባ አያናን ኤርድ፥ ኤንታኮ፥ “ህንተ ህንተ ዎዛናን አይስ ሄሳዳ ቆፔቲ?BSBBSB: At once Jesus knew in His spirit that they were thinking this way within themselves. “Why are you thinking these things in your hearts?” He asked.
9. 9GOFEጉንዳ ኡራ፥ ‘ነ ናጋራይ አቶ ጌተትስ’ ገይስ ማተዬ? ዎይኮ፥ ‘ደንዳ ኤቃዳ ነ አልጋ ቶካዳ ባ’ ገይስ ማቴ?BSBBSB: “Which is easier: to say to a paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up, pick up your mat, and walk’?
10. 10GOFEሽን ታዉ፥ አሳ ናኣስ፥ ሳአ ቦላ ናጋራ አቶ ጋናዉ ማት ደኤይሳ ህንተ ኤራና መላ” ግድ ሄ ጉንዳ ኡራኮ፥BSBBSB: But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins...” He said to the paralytic,
11. 11GOFE“ነና ጋይስ፥ ደንዳ ኤቃዳ ነ አልጋ ቶካዳ ነ ሶ ባ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: “I tell you, get up, pick up your mat, and go home.”
12. 12GOFEኡራይ ኤለስ ደንድ ኤቅድ፥ ባ አልጋ ቶክድ አሳ ኡባይ በእሽን ብስ። አሳ ኡባይ ማላለትድ፥ “ኑኒ ሀይሳ መላ ማላልስያባ በእ ኤሮኮ” ያግድ ፆሳ ጋላትዶሶና።BSBBSB: And immediately the man got up, picked up his mat, and walked out in front of them all. As a result, they were all astounded and glorified God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!”
13. 13GOFEየሱሲ ቃስ ጋልላ አባ ዶና ስም ብድ፥ ባኮ ይዳ አሳ ኡባ ታማርስስ።BSBBSB: Once again Jesus went out beside the sea. All the people came to Him, and He taught them there.
14. 14GOFEያራ አꬍሸ፥ እልፍዮሳ ናኣ ሌወ ጌተተይስ ቃራፃ ቃንፅስያ በሳን ኡትዳይሳ በእድ፥ “ታና ካላ” ያግስ። ሌወይ ደንድ ኤቅድ እያ ካልስ።BSBBSB: As He was walking along, He saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax booth. “Follow Me,” He told him, and Levi got up and followed Him.
15. 15GOFEየሱሲ ካꬅ ማናዉ ሌወ ሶን ኡትስ። እያ ካልያ አሳይ ዳሮ ግድያ ግሾ፥ ቃራፃ ቃንፅስያ ዳሮ አሳይነ ናጋራንቾት እያራነ እያ ታማረታራ እስፈ ኡትዶሶና።BSBBSB: While Jesus was dining at Levi’s house, many tax collectors and sinners were eating with Him and His disciples—for there were many who followed Him.
16. 16GOFEህገ አስታማረ ግድዳ እስ እስ ፋርሳወት የሱሲ ናጋራንቾታራነ ቃራፃ ቃንፅሰይሳታራ ካꬅ ምሽን በእድ፥ “እ አይስ ናጋራንቾታራነ ቃራፃ ቃንፅሰይሳታራ ካꬅ ሚ?” ያግድ፥ እያ ታማረታ ኦይችዶሶና።BSBBSB: When the scribes who were Pharisees saw Jesus eating with these people, they asked His disciples, “Why does He eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
17. 17GOFEየሱሲ ኤንቲ ገይሳ ስእድ፥ “ሀርጋንቾታፐ አትሽን፥ ፓፃታስ አክመ ኮሸና። ታኒ ናጋራንቾታ ፄጋናዉ ያስፐ አትሽን፥ ፅሎታ ፄጋናዉ ያቢከ” ያግድ ኤንታዉ ዛርስ።BSBBSB: On hearing this, Jesus told them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
18. 18GOFEፃማቅያ ዮሃንሳ ታማረትነ ፋርሳወት ፆሞሶና። እስ እስ አሳት የሱሳኮ ይድ፥ “ዮሃንሳ ታማረትነ ፋርሳወታ ታማረት ፆሞሶና፥ ሽን ነ ታማረት አይስ ፆሞኮና?” ያግዶሶና።BSBBSB: Now John’s disciples and the Pharisees were often fasting. So people came to Jesus and asked, “Why don’t Your disciples fast like John’s disciples and those of the Pharisees?”
19. 19GOFEየሱሲ ኤንታኮ፥ “ያጋኑዋ ይዳ አሳት ማችዉ ኤከይስ ኤንታራ ደእሽን፥ ፆማናዉ ዳንዳኦና? ማችዉ ኤከይስ ኤንታራ ደእሽን፥ ፆማናዉ ዳንዳኦኮና።BSBBSB: Jesus replied, “How can the guests of the bridegroom fast while He is with them? As long as He is with them, they cannot fast.
20. 20GOFEሽን ማችዉ ኤከይስ ኤንታ ማታፐ ኤከታና ዎደይ ያና፥ ኤንቲ ሄ ዎደ ፆማና።BSBBSB: But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast.
21. 21GOFE“ጋልአ ማኦ ቦላ ኦራꬃ ጫርቀ ዎꬅድ ስክያ አስ ባዋ። ዎꬅድ ስክኮ፥ ኦራꬃይ ጬጋ ማኡዋ ዳኬስ፤ ዳከꬃይካ ካሰይሳፈ ዳሬስ።BSBBSB: No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment. If he does, the new piece will pull away from the old, and a worse tear will result.
22. 22GOFEቃስ ማልአንቶ ዎይነ ጬጋ ኦጎሮን ቆልያ አስ ባዋ። ሽን ቆልኮ፥ ሄ ዎይነይ ኦጎሩዋ ዳኬስ፥ ባዉካ ጉኬስ፥ ኦጎሮይካ ኢቴስ። ሽን ማልአንቶ ዎይነይ ኦራꬃ ኦጎሮን ቆለቴስ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. Instead, new wine is poured into new wineskins.”
23. 23GOFEየሱሲ እስ ሳምባታ ጋላስ ባንጋ ጋደ ግዶራ አꬍሽን፥ እያ ታማረት እያራ ብሸ ባንጋ ትያ ሽርክድ ሞሶና።BSBBSB: One Sabbath Jesus was passing through the grainfields, and His disciples began to pick the heads of grain as they walked along.
24. 24GOFEፋርሳወት የሱሳኮ፥ “ሄኮ፥ ነ ታማረት ሳምባታ ጋላስ ዎጋ ግዶናባ አይስ ኦꬆና?” ያግዶሶና።BSBBSB: So the Pharisees said to Him, “Look, why are they doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?”
25. 25GOFEየሱሲ ኤንታኮ፥ “ዳዊቲ ኮሻትድ፥ ምያባ ኮይዳ ዎደ፥ ባራ ደኤይሳታራ ኦꬅዳይሳ ናባብበከቲ?BSBBSB: Jesus replied, “Have you never read what David did when he and his companions were hungry and in need?
26. 26GOFEአብያታር ካህነ ሀላቃ ግድድ ደእያ ዎደ ዳዊቲ ፆሳ ኬꬅ ገልድ፥ ካህነታ ፃላል ማናፐ አትሽን፥ ኦንካ ማናዉ ዎጋ ግዶናይሳ ጎዳ ስንꬃን ዎꬅዳ ዳቡዋ ምስ፥ ባራ ደኤይስታስካ እሚስ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: During the high priesthood of Abiathar, he entered the house of God and ate the consecrated bread, which was lawful only for the priests. And he gave some to his companions as well.”
27. 27GOFEቃስካ የሱሲ ኤንታኮ፥ “ሳምባት አሳ ናአ ጎአስ መትስፐ አትሽን፥ አስ ሳምባታስ መትቤና።BSBBSB: Then Jesus declared, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.
28. 28GOFEሄሳ ግሾ፥ አሳ ናአይ፥ ሀር አቶሽን ሳምባታስካ ጎዳ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: Therefore, the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.”
