1. 1GOFEሄሳፈ ጉየ፥ እስ እስ ፋርሳወትነ ህገ አስታማረት የሩሳላመፐ የሱሳኮ ይድ፥BSBBSB: Then some Pharisees and scribes came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked,
2. 2GOFE“ነ ታማረት አይስ ኑ አዋታ ዎጋ መንꬆና? ኤንቲ ካꬅ ማናፐ ስን ባንታ ኩሽያ ሜጨቶኮና” ያግድ ኦይችዶሶና።BSBBSB: “Why do Your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They do not wash their hands before they eat.”
3. 3GOFEየሱሲ ዛሪድ፥ “ህንተ፥ ህንተ ዎጋ ግሾ፥ ፆሳ ኪታ ፖለይሳ አይስ እፄቲ?BSBBSB: Jesus replied, “And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition?
4. 4GOFEአይስ ጊኮ፥ ፆሳይ፥ ‘ነ አዋነ ነ አይዉ ቦንቻ። እ ባ አዋ ዎይኮ ባ አይዉ ጫየይስ ሀይቆ ግቤኔ?’ ያግስ።BSBBSB: For God said, ‘Honor your father and mother’ and ‘Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.’
5. 5GOFEሽን ህንተ፥ እስ አስ ባ አዋ ዎይኮ ባ አይዉ ማዳናባይ ደእሽን፥ ‘ሀይሳ ታ ፆሳስ ያርሻስ ጊኮ፥BSBBSB: But you say that if anyone says to his father or mother, ‘Whatever you would have received from me is a gift devoted to God,’
6. 6GOFEባ አዋ ዎይኮ ባ አይዉ ቦንቻናዉ በሰና’ ያጌታ። ያትድ ህንተ፥ ህንተ ዎጋ ፖላናዉ ፆሳ ቃላ መንታ።BSBBSB: he need not honor his father or mother with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition.
7. 7GOFEህንተኖ፥ ጩቦቶ፥ እሳያስ ህንተባ ልከ ኦድስ፥BSBBSB: You hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied correctly about you:
8. 8GOFE“ ‘ሀ አሳይ ታና ባንታ ዶናን ቦንቼስ፥ ሽን ኤንታ ዎዛናይ ታፐ ሃሆን ደኤስ።BSBBSB: ‘These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me.
9. 9GOFEአሳይ ታና ጮ ጎይኖሶና፤ ኤንቲ አስ መꬍዳ ኪታ ፆሳ ህገ ዳንስድ ታማርሶሶና’ ግስ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: They worship Me in vain; they teach as doctrine the precepts of men.’”
10. 10GOFEየሱሲ ዳሮ አሳ ባኮ ፄግድ፥ “ስእተ! አኬክተ!BSBBSB: Jesus called the crowd to Him and said, “Listen and understand.
11. 11GOFEአሰ ቱንስያባይ ዶናራ ገልያባ ግዶናሽን ዶናፐ ከያባ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: A man is not defiled by what enters his mouth, but by what comes out of it.”
12. 12GOFEሄሳፈ ጉየ፥ የሱሳ ታማረት እያኮ ይድ፥ “ፋርሳወት ኔኒ ግዳይሳ ስእድ ꬉበትዳይሳ አኬካይ?” ያግዶሶና።BSBBSB: Then the disciples came to Him and said, “Are You aware that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this?”
13. 13GOFEሽን የሱሲ ዛሪድ፥ “ሳሎን ደእያ ታ አዋይ ቶክቦና ምꬅ ኡባይ ሾደታና።BSBBSB: But Jesus replied, “Every plant that My heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by its roots.
14. 14GOFEኤንታባ ህርጎፍተ፤ ኤንቲ ቆቀ ካለꬅያ ቆቀታ። ቆቀይ ቆቀ ካለꬅኮ፥ ናምአይካ ኦላን ኩንዳና” ያግስ።BSBBSB: Disregard them! They are blind guides. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.”
15. 15GOFEጰፅሮስ ዛሪድ፥ “ሀ ሌምሱዋ ብርሸꬃ ኑስ ኦዳርኪ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: Peter said to Him, “Explain this parable to us.”
16. 16GOFEየሱሲ ኤንታኮ፥ “ህንተዉካ ሀእ ጋካናዉ ገልቤኔ?BSBBSB: “Do you still not understand?” Jesus asked.
17. 17GOFEዶናራ ገልያባ ኡባይ ኡሎ ገልድ ካረ ከየይሳ ኤረከቲ?BSBBSB: “Do you not yet realize that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then is eliminated?
18. 18GOFEሽን ዶናራ ከያባይ ዎዛናፐ ከዬስ። አሰ ቱንስያባት ሄሳታ።BSBBSB: But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these things defile a man.
19. 19GOFEኤንትካ፦ አሳ ዎዛና ግዶፈ ከይያ ኢታ ቆፋ፥ ዎꬎ፥ ላይማተꬅ፥ ኢታ ኦሶ፥ ካይሶ፥ ዎርዶ ማርካተꬅ፥ ጫሸ።BSBBSB: For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, and slander.
20. 20GOFEሄሳ ዳንያባት አሰ ቱንሴስፐ አትሽን፥ ሜጨቶና ኩሸራ መይስ ቱንሰና” ያግስ።BSBBSB: These are what defile a man, but eating with unwashed hands does not defile him.”
21. 21GOFEሄሳፈ ጉየ፥ የሱሲ ያፐ ከይድ ፅሮሳነ ስዶና ካታማት ደእያ ቢታ ብስ።BSBBSB: Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the district of Tyre and Sidon.
22. 22GOFEእስ ካናነ ቢታ ማጫስ የሱሳኮ ያዳ፥ ባ ቃላ ꬎቁ ኦꬃዳ፥ “ጎዳዉ፥ ዳዊታ ናአዉ፥ ታዉ ቃታርክ፤ ታ ናእዉ ቱና አያናይ ኦይክድ ኢታ ዋይሴስ” ያጋሱ።BSBBSB: And a Canaanite woman from that region came to Him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is miserably possessed by a demon.”
23. 23GOFEሽን የሱሲ እስ ቃላካ ዛሮና ስእ ግስ። የሱሳ ታማረት እያኮ ይድ፥ “ሀ ማጫስያ ኑ ጌዶ ካላ ካላዳ፥ ዎሳዉሱ። ሄሳ ግሾ፥ ኔኒ እዮ ሞይዛርክ” ያግድ ዎስዶሶና።BSBBSB: But Jesus did not answer a word. So His disciples came and urged Him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.”
24. 24GOFEየሱሲ ዛሪድ፥ “ታኒ ዉደፐ ꬋይዳ ዶርሳዳ እስራኤለ ኬꬃፈ ꬋይዳ አሳታ ፃላላስ ኪተታስ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
25. 25GOFEሽን እያ፥ እያ ስንꬃን ኩንዳዳ፥ “ጎዳዉ፥ ታና ማዳርኪ?” ያጋሱ።BSBBSB: The woman came and knelt before Him. “Lord, help me!” she said.
26. 26GOFEእ ዛሪድ፥ “ናይታ ካꬅ ኤክድ ካናታስ የገይስ ሎኦ ግደና” ያግስ።BSBBSB: But Jesus replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”
27. 27GOFEማጫስያካ፥ “ጎዳዉ፥ ሄስ ቱማ፥ ሽን ሀር አቶሽን ካናት ባንታ ጎዳት ምሽን፥ ጋይታፐ ዎꬍያ ቲፍያ ሞሶና” ያጋሱ።BSBBSB: “Yes, Lord,” she said, “even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.”
28. 28GOFEየሱሲ ዛሪድ፥ “ሀ ማጫሰተ፥ ነ አማኖይ ግታ፤ ነ ኮይዳይሳዳ ነዉ ሀኖ” ያግስ። እ ናእያ ኢራካ ፓፃ አጋሱ።BSBBSB: “O woman,” Jesus answered, “your faith is great! Let it be done for you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.
29. 29GOFEየሱሲ ያፐ ደንድድ ጋልላ አባ ማት ብስ። እስ ዙማ ቦላ ከይድ፥ ያን ኡትስ።BSBBSB: Moving on from there, Jesus went along the Sea of Galilee. Then He went up on a mountain and sat down.
30. 30GOFEዳሮ አሳይ ባንታራ፥ ዎበታ፥ ቆቀታ፥ ኩናታ፥ ዶና ሙመታነ፥ ሀራ ዳሮ ሀርጋንቾታ ኤክድ፥ እያኮ ኤህድ እያ ስንꬃን ዎꬅዶሶና። የሱሲ ኤንታና ፓꬅስ።BSBBSB: Large crowds came to Him, bringing the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute, and many others, and laid them at His feet, and He healed them.
31. 31GOFEሄሳ ግሾ፥ ሙመት ኦደትሽን፥ ኩናት ፕድ ግሽን፥ ዎበት ሄመትሽን፥ ቆቀት ፄልሽን አሳይ በእድ ማላለትድ፥ እስራኤለ ፆሳ ጋላትዶሶና።BSBBSB: The crowd was amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled restored, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they glorified the God of Israel.
32. 32GOFEየሱሲ ባ ታማረታ ባኮ ፄግድ፥ “ሀ ዳሮ አሳይ ታራ ሄꬑ ጋላስ ጋምእዳ ግሾነ ኤንታዉ ሀእ ምያባይ ባይና ግሾ ታኒ ኤንታዉ ቃታይስ። ኤንቲ ኦገን ዳቡርድ ኩንዶና መላ አይኮ ሙዞና ኤንታ መላ የዳናዉ ኮይከ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: Then Jesus called His disciples to Him and said, “I have compassion for this crowd, because they have already been with Me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may faint along the way.”
33. 33GOFEእያ ታማረት ዛሪድ፥ “ኑኒ ሀ ባዙዋን ሀይሳ ኬና አሳስ ግድያ ካꬅ አዉፐ ደማኔ?” ያግዶሶና።BSBBSB: The disciples replied, “Where in this desolate place could we find enough bread to feed such a large crowd?”
34. 34GOFEየሱሲ ኤንታኮ፥ “ህንተዉ አፑን ኡይꬅ ደኢ?” ያግድ ኦይችስ። ኤንቲ ዛሪድ፥ “ላፑን ኡይꬅነ ላፋ ሞሎታፐ ጉꬅ ደኤስ” ያግዶሶና።BSBBSB: “How many loaves do you have?” Jesus asked. “Seven,” they replied, “and a few small fish.”
35. 35GOFEየሱሲ ደርያ ሳአን ኡትተ ያግድ ኪትስ።BSBBSB: And He instructed the crowd to sit down on the ground.
36. 36GOFEሄሳፈ ጉየ፥ ሄ ላፑን ኡይꬃነ ሞሉዋ ኤክድ ፆሳ ጋላትስ። መንꬅድ ባ ታማረታስ እሚስ። እያ ታማረት ዳሮ አሳስ ግሽዶሶና።BSBBSB: Taking the seven loaves and the fish, He gave thanks and broke them. Then He gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people.
37. 37GOFEአሳ ኡባይ ምድ ካልዶሶና። እያ ታማረት፥ ምሽን አትዳ ቲፍያ ላፑን ግታ ጋይታ ኩመꬅ ደንꬅዶሶና።BSBBSB: They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up seven basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.
38. 38GOFEምዳ አሳይ ማጫስነ ናአ ፓይዶና አደ ፃላል ኦይዱ ሙኩሉ።BSBBSB: A total of four thousand men were fed, besides women and children.
39. 39GOFEየሱሲ ደርያ የድዳፐ ጉየ ዎጎሉዋን ገልድ ማገዶና ቢታ ብስ።BSBBSB: After Jesus had dismissed the crowds, He got into the boat and went to the region of Magadan.
