Matthew 8 (GOFE)

1የሱሲ ዙማፐ ዎꬍያ ዎደ ዳሮ አሳይ እያ ካልዶሶና።When Jesus came down from the mountain, large crowds followed Him.

2ሄኮ እስ ባሮ ሀርጋንቾይ እያኮ ሺቅድ፥ እያ ስንꬃን ጉልባትድ፥ “ጎዳዉ፥ ነ ሸነ ግድኮ ታና ጌሻዳ ፓꬃናዉ ዳንዳኣሳ” ያግስ።Suddenly a leper came and knelt before Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”

3የሱሲ ባ ኩሽያ የድድ እያ ቦችድ፥ “ኤ፥ ታ ሸነ፥ ፓፃ” ያግስ። ኡራይ ኢራካ ጌይ አግስ።Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” He said. “Be clean!” And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

4የሱሲ እያኮ፥ “ነ ፓፁዋ ኦደስካ ኦዶፓ። ሽን ባዳ ነ ጌያዳ ፓፆይሳ ካህነ በሳ። ነ ፓፁዋስ ማርካ ግዳና መላ ባዳ ሙሰይ ኪትዳ ያርሹዋ ያርሻ” ያግስ።Then Jesus instructed him, “See that you don’t tell anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift prescribed by Moses, as a testimony to them.”

5የሱሲ ቅፍርናሆማ ካታማ ጋክዳ ዎደ፥ እስ ማቶ ሀላቃይ እያኮ ሺቅድ፥When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came and pleaded with Him,

6“ጎዳዉ፥ ታ አይለይ አሳተꬃይ ጉንድን ዳሮ ሀርገትድ፥ ሶን ዝንእድ ደኤስ” ያግድ ዎስስ።“Lord, my servant lies at home, paralyzed and in terrible agony.”

7የሱሲ ዛሪድ፥ “ታኒ ባዳ እያ ፓꬃና” ያግስ።“I will go and heal him,” Jesus replied.

8ሽን ማቶ ሀላቃይ ዛሪድ፥ “ጎዳዉ፥ ነ ታ ሶ ገላናዉ በሲያ አስ ግድከ፥ ሽን ነ ሀን ኡታዳ ቃላ ፃላላ ኦዳ፥ ታ አይለይ ፓፃና።The centurion answered, “Lord, I am not worthy to have You come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed.

9አይስ ጊኮ፥ ታፐ ቦላራ ታና ኪትያ አሳት ደኦሶና፥ ቃስ ታፐ ጋርሳራ ታዉ ኪተተይሳት ደኦሶና። ኤንታፈ እሱዋ፥ ‘ባ’ ግያደ ቤስ፤ ሀንኩዋ ቃስ ‘ሃያ!’ ግያደ ዬስ። ታ አይልያ፥ ‘ሀይሳ ኦꬃ’ ግያደ ኦꬄስ” ያግስ።For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell one to go, and he goes, and another to come, and he comes. I tell my servant to do something, and he does it.”

10የሱሲ ሄሳ ስእዳ ዎደ ማላለትድ፥ ባና ካልያ አሳኮ፥ “ታ ህንተዉ ቱማ ኦዳይስ፤ ታኒ ሀይሳ መላ አማኖ እስራኤለ አሳንካ በአብከ።When Jesus heard this, He marveled and said to those following Him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith.

11ታ ህንተዉ ኦዳይስ፤ ዳሮት ዶሎሀፐነ ዉሎሀፐ ይድ፥ ሳሎ ካዎተꬃን አብራሃመራ፥ ይሳቃራነ ያይቆባራ እስፈ እማቶ ቦላ ኡታና።I say to you that many will come from the east and the west to share the banquet with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.

12ሽን ሳሎ ካዎተꬃ ላታናዉ በስሽን አትዳይሳት ካረ ꬉማን ሆለታና። ያን ኤንታዉ ዬሆነ አቻ ጋርጨꬅ ግዳና” ያግስ።But the sons of the kingdom will be thrown into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

13የሱሲ ማቶ ሀላቃኮ፥ “ነ ሶ ባ፥ ነ አማኑዋꬆ ነዉ ሀኖ” ያግስ። እያ አይለይ ኢራካ ፓፅ አግስ።Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go! As you have believed, so will it be done for you.” And his servant was healed at that very hour.

14የሱሲ ጰፅሮሳ ሶ ገልያ ዎደ፥ ጰፅሮሳ ማቸ አይያ ቆፆ ምሻ ሀርገን ሳከታዳ ዝንእዳሮ በእስ።When Jesus arrived at Peter’s house, He saw Peter’s mother-in-law sick in bed with a fever.

15የሱሲ እ ኩሽያ ቦችዳ ዎደ ቆፆይነ ምሻይ አጋግስ። ፓፃ ደንዳዳ እያ ሞካሱ።So He touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she got up and began to serve Him.

16ሄ ዎደ ኦማርስ ቱና አያናን ኦይከትዳ ዳሮ አሳታ፥ አሳይ የሱሳኮ ኤህዶሶና። እካ ቱና አያናታ ባ ቃላን ከስስ፥ ሀርጋንቾታ ኡባ ፓꬅስ።When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to Jesus, and He drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick.

17ሄሳንካ ናብያ እሳያስ፥ “እ ኑ ሀርግያ ባዉ ኤክስ፥ ኑ ዳቡራ ቶክስ” ግዳ ቃላይ ፖለትስ።This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: “He took up our infirmities and carried our diseases.”

18የሱሲ ዳሮ አሳይ እያ ዩሹዋን ኤቅዳይሳ በእድ፥ አባፈ ሄፍንꬅ ፕናና መላ ባ ታማረታ ኪትስ።When Jesus saw a large crowd around Him, He gave orders to cross to the other side of the sea.

19ህገ አስታማረታፐ እሶይ፥ “አስታማርያዉ፥ ነ ብያ በሳ ኡባ ታ ካላና” ያግስ።And one of the scribes came to Him and said, “Teacher, I will follow You wherever You go.”

20የሱሲ እያኮ “ዎርካናታስ ኦል ደኤስ፥ ሳሎ ካፎታስ ኬꬅ ደኤስ። ሽን አሳ ናኣስ ባ ሁጵያ ሸምፕስያ በሲ ባዋ” ያግስ።Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay His head.”

21የሱሳ ካልያ አሳታፐ እሶይ፥ “ጎዳዉ፥ ታኒ ስንꬃታ ባዳ ታ አዋ ሞጋዳ ያና” ያግስ።Another of His disciples requested, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.”

22ሽን የሱሲ፥ “ሀይቅዳይሳት ባንታ ሀይቆታ ሞጎ፤ ኔኒ ታና ካላ” ያግስ።But Jesus told him, “Follow Me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”

23የሱሲ ባናዉ ዎጎሉዋን ገልዳ ዎደ፥ እያ ታማረትካ እያራ ባናዉ ገልዶሶና።When He got into the boat, His disciples followed Him.

24ኤንቲ ቆፖና ደእሽን፥ ዎልቃማ ሆበይ ሃꬃ ቦላ ደንድን ዎጎሎይ ምተታናዉ ጋክስ። ሽን የሱሲ ꬍስክስ።Suddenly a violent storm came up on the sea, so that the boat was engulfed by the waves. But Jesus was sleeping.

25እያ ታማረት እያኮ ሺቅድ እያ ባርከꬅድ፥ “ጎዳዉ፥ ኑ ꬋዮስ ኑና አሻርክ” ያግዶሶና።The disciples went and woke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!”

26የሱሲ ኤንታኮ፥ “ህንተኖ፥ አማኖይ ፓጭዳይሳቶ፥ አይስ ያየቲ?” ያግስ። ደንድድ፥ ሆቢያነ ጎትያ ኤስስ። ኤለስድ ኡባባይ ስእ ግስ።“You of little faith,” Jesus replied, “why are you so afraid?” Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and it was perfectly calm.

27እያ ታማረት ማላለትድ፥ “ሀይስ፥ ሀር አቶሽን፥ ሆበይነ ጎተይ ኪተተይስ ዋንዳ አሴ?” ያግዶሶና።The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the sea obey Him!”

28የሱሲ አባፈ ሄፍንꬃን ደእያ ገርገሶነ ቢታ ጋክዳ ዎደ ቱና አያናይ ኦይክዳ ናምኡ አሳት ዱፎፐ ከይድ እያራ ጋሄትዶሶና። ኤንቲ ዳሮ ኢታነ ያሽያ አሳታ ግድያ ግሾ አስ ሄ በሳራ አꬋናዉ ዳንዳኤና።When Jesus arrived on the other side in the region of the Gadarenes, He was met by two demon-possessed men coming from the tombs. They were so violent that no one could pass that way.

29ኤንትካ፥ “ፆሳ ናአዉ፥ ኑናነ ነና አይበ ጋይ? ዎደይ ጋኮና ደእሽን ኑና ፕርዳናዉ ያዲ?” ግድ ዋስዶሶና።“What do You want with us, Son of God?” they shouted. “Have You come here to torture us before the appointed time?”

30ኤንታፈ ዳሮ ሃኮና ጉዱንꬆ ዉደይ ሄመቴስ።In the distance a large herd of pigs was feeding.

31ቱና አያናት የሱሳ፥ “ነ ኑና ከሳናባ ግድኮ፥ ህን ጉዱንꬆ ዉድያ ግዶ የዳርክ” ያግድ ዎስዶሶና።So the demons begged Jesus, “If You drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs.”

32የሱሲ፥ “ቢተ” ያግስ። ቱና አያናት አሳታፐ ከይድ ጉዱንꬆታን ገልዶሶና። ጉዱንꬆት ኡባይ አፎ ዶናራ ድርግድ ብድ አባን ምተትድ ሀይቅዶሶና።“Go!” He told them. So they came out and went into the pigs, and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea and died in the waters.

33ጉዱንꬆ ዉድያ ሄመይሳት ባቃትድ ካታማ ብድ፥ ሀንዳባነ ቱና አያናይ ኦይክዳ አሳታ ቦላ ኦሰትዳባ ኡባ ኦድዶሶና።Those tending the pigs ran off into the town and reported all this, including the account of the demon-possessed men.

34ያትን፥ ካታማን ደእያ አሳ ኡባይ የሱሳ በአናዉ ከይዶሶና። ኤንቲ የሱሳ በእዳ ዎደ ባንታ ቢታፈ ከይድ ባና መላ ዎስዶሶና።Then the whole town went out to meet Jesus. And when they saw Him, they begged Him to leave their region.
