1. 1GOFEሄሳፈ ጉየ፥ የሱሲ ዎጎሉዋን ገልድ፥ አባ ፕንድ ባ ካታማ ብስ።BSBBSB: Jesus got into a boat, crossed over, and came to His own town.
2. 2GOFEሀንዳ ጉꬃ አሳት እስ ጉንዳ ኡራ አልጋራ ቶክድ የሱሳኮ ኤህዶሶና። የሱሲ ኤንታ አማኑዋ በእድ፥ ጉንዳ ኡራ፥ “ታ ናአዉ፥ ያዮፋ፤ ነ ናጋራይ አቶ ጌተትስ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: Just then some men brought to Him a paralytic lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Take courage, son; your sins are forgiven.”
3. 3GOFEሄ ሳትያን፥ አይሁደ ህገ አስታማረታፐ እሶት እሶት፥ “ሀይስ ፆሳ ጫሸ ግደነ” ያግድ ባንታ ዎዛናን ቆፕዶሶና።BSBBSB: On seeing this, some of the scribes said to themselves, “This man is blaspheming!”
4. 4GOFEየሱሲ ኤንታ ቆፋ ኤርድ፥ “ኢታባ ህንተ ዎዛናን አይስ ቆፔቲ?BSBBSB: But Jesus knew what they were thinking and said, “Why do you harbor evil in your hearts?
5. 5GOFEሀኖሽን፥ ‘ነ ናጋራይ አቶ ጌተትስ’ ገይሳፈነ ‘ደንዳ ኤቃዳ ባ’ ገይሳፈ አዉስ ካዉዪ?BSBBSB: Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’?
6. 6GOFEሽን ሳአ ቦላ ናጋራ አቶ ጋናዉ አሳ ናኣስ ማት ደኤይሳ ታ ህንተና ኤርሳና” ያግድ፥ ጉንዳ አድያኮ፥ “ደንዳ ኤቃ፥ ነ አልጋ ቶካዳ፥ ነ ሶ ባ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins...” Then He said to the paralytic, “Get up, pick up your mat, and go home.”
7. 7GOFEጉንዳ ኡራይ ደንድድ ባ ሶ ብስ።BSBBSB: And the man got up and went home.
8. 8GOFEደረይ ሄሳ በእድ ማላለትዶሶና። ሄሳ መላ ማታ አሳስ እምዳ ፆሳ ጋላትዶሶና።BSBBSB: When the crowds saw this, they were filled with awe and glorified God, who had given such authority to men.
9. 9GOFEየሱሲ ያፐ ደንድድ ብሸ ማቶሳ ገይሳ ቃራፃ ቃንፅስያ በሳን ኡትዳሽን በእድ፥ “ታና ካላ” ያግስ። እካ ደንድድ ካልስ።BSBBSB: As Jesus went on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax booth. “Follow Me,” He told him, and Matthew got up and followed Him.
10. 10GOFEየሱሲ ማቶሳ ሶን ጋይታ ቦላ ኡትዳሽን፥ ቃራፃ ቃንፅስያ ዳሮ አሳትነ ናጋራንቾት ይድ እያራነ እያ ታማረታራ እስፈ ማናዉ ኡትዶሶና።BSBBSB: Later, as Jesus was dining at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with Him and His disciples.
11. 11GOFEእስ እስ ፋርሳወት ሄሳ በእድ፥ የሱሳ ታማረታ፥ “ህንተ አስታማረይ ቃራፃ ቃንፅሰይሳታራነ ናጋራንቾታራ አይስ ሚ?” ያግዶሶና።BSBBSB: When the Pharisees saw this, they asked His disciples, “Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
12. 12GOFEየሱሲ ሄሳ ስእድ፥ “ꬋለ ኮሸይ ሀርጋንቾታሳፈ አትሽን፥ ፓፃታሳ ግደና።BSBBSB: On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.
13. 13GOFEሽን ህንተ ብድ፥ ‘ታኒ ህንተ ያርሹዋ ግዶናሽን ህንተ ሀራታ ማራና መላ ኮያይስ’ ጌተትድ ፃፈትዳይስ አይ ጉሰኮ ኤርተ። አይስ ጊኮ፥ ታኒ ናጋራንቾታ ፄጋናዉ ያስፐ አትሽን፥ ፅሎታ ፄጋናዉ ያቢከ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
14. 14GOFEሄ ዎደ ዮሃንሳ ታማረት የሱሳኮ ሺቅድ፥ “ኑነ ፋርሳወት ፆሞስ፥ ሽን ነ ታማረት አይስ ፆሞኮና?” ያግድ ኦይችዶሶና።BSBBSB: Then John’s disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Why is it that we and the Pharisees fast so often, but Your disciples do not fast?”
15. 15GOFEየሱሲ ዛሪድ ኤንታኮ፥ “ማችዉ ኤከይስ ኤንታራ ደእሽን ፄገትድ ይዳ አሳይ ካዮታናዉ ዳንዳኦና? ሙሹራይ ኤንታ ማታፐ ኤከታና ዎደይ ያና፥ ኤንቲ ሄ ዎደ ፆማና።BSBBSB: Jesus replied, “How can the guests of the bridegroom mourn while He is with them? But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast.
16. 16GOFE“ኦራꬃ ማኦፐ ፔꬍድ ጋልአ ማኦ ቦላ ስከይ ኦንካ ባዋ። ሄሳꬆ ኦꬅኮ ኦራꬃይ ጋልአ ፔꬌስ። ፔꬃይካ ጉጅ ዳልጌስ።BSBBSB: No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment. For the patch will pull away from the garment, and a worse tear will result.
17. 17GOFEኦራꬃ ዎይነ ጋልአ ኦጎሮን ቆልያ ኦንካ ባዋ። ሄሳꬆ ኦꬅኮ ኦራꬃ ዎይነይ ጋልአ ኦጎሩዋ ꬉሴስ ዎይነይካ ጉኬስ፤ ኦጎሮይካ ናምአንꬆ ማዶናባ ግዴስ። ሽን ኦራꬃ ዎይነይ ኦራꬃ ኦጎሮን ቆለታናዉ በሴስ። ሄሳꬆ ኦሰትኮ ናምአይካ ኢቶና ናገቶሶና” ያግስ።BSBBSB: Neither do men pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst, the wine will spill, and the wineskins will be ruined. Instead, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.”
18. 18GOFEየሱሲ ሄሳ ኦዶ ቦላ ደእሽን፥ አይሁደ ሀላቃታፐ እሶይ እያኮ ይድ፥ እያ ስንꬃን ጉልባትድ፥ “ታ ናእያ ሀእ ሀይቃሱ፥ ሽን እያ ፓፃና መላ ኔኒ ያዳ ነ ኩሽያ እ ቦላ ዎꬃርክ” ግድ ዎስስ።BSBBSB: While Jesus was saying these things, a synagogue leader came and knelt before Him. “My daughter has just died,” he said. “But come and place Your hand on her, and she will live.”
19. 19GOFEየሱሲ ደንድድ እያራ ብስ፤ እያ ታማረትካ ካልዶሶና።BSBBSB: So Jesus got up and went with him, along with His disciples.
20. 20GOFEእ ብሽን ታማነ ናምኡ ላይꬅ ኩመꬅ ሱꬅ ጎግድ ዋይስያ እስ ማጫስያ ጉየራ ሺቃዳ የሱሳ አፍላ ማጫራ ቦቻሱ።BSBBSB: Suddenly a woman who had suffered from bleeding for twelve years came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His cloak.
21. 21GOFEእያ ባ ዎዛናን፥ “ታ እያ አፍላ ማጫራ ፃላላ ቦችያኮ ፓፃና” ያጋዳ ቆፓሱ።BSBBSB: She said to herself, “If only I touch His cloak, I will be healed.”
22. 22GOFEየሱሲ ጉየ ስም እዮ ፄልድ፥ “ታ ናተ፥ ያዮፋ! ነና ነ አማኖይ ፓꬅስ” ያግስ። ማጫስያ ኤለሳዳ ፓፃ አጋሱ።BSBBSB: Jesus turned and saw her. “Take courage, daughter,” He said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed from that very hour.
23. 23GOFEየሱሲ አይሁደ ሀላቃ ሶ ጋክያ ዎደ ዛየ ፑነይሳታነ ዬከይሳታ በእድ፥BSBBSB: When Jesus entered the house of the synagogue leader, He saw the flute players and the noisy crowd.
24. 24GOFE“አነ ክችተ፤ ጉꬃ ናእያ ꬍስካሱፐ አትሽን፥ ሀይቃቡኩ” ያግስ። ሽን አሳይ እያ ቦላ ሚጭዶሶና።BSBBSB: “Go away,” He told them. “The girl is not dead, but asleep.” And they laughed at Him.
25. 25GOFEአሳ ካረ ከስዳፐ ጉየ ሶ ገልድ፥ ናኤ ኩሽያ ኦይክስ፥ ናእያ ደንዳ ኤቃሱ።BSBBSB: After the crowd had been put outside, Jesus went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up.
26. 26GOFEሄ ዎረይ ሄ ቢታ ኡባ ጋክስ።BSBBSB: And the news about this spread throughout that region.
27. 27GOFEየሱሲ ያፐ ደንድድ ገደ ስን ብያ ዎደ ናምኡ ቆቀት ባንታ ቃላ ꬎቁ ኦꬅድ፥ “ዳዊታ ናአዉ፥ ኑና ማራርክ” ያግሸ እያ ካልዶሶና።BSBBSB: As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!”
28. 28GOFEየሱሲ ሶ ገልዳ ዎደ ቆቀት እያ ካልድ ይዶሶና። የሱሲ ኤንታኮ፥ “ታኒ ሄሳ ኦꬃናዉ ዳንዳኤይሳ ህንተ አማነቲ?” ያግስ። ኤንትካ፥ “ኤ፥ ጎዳዉ” ያግድ ዛርዶሶና።BSBBSB: After Jesus had entered the house, the blind men came to Him. “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” He asked. “Yes, Lord,” they answered.
29. 29GOFEሄሳፈ ጉየ፥ የሱሲ ኤንታ አይፍያ ቦችድ ኤንታኮ፥ “ህንተዉ፥ ህንተ አማኑዋꬆ ሀኖ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: Then He touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith will it be done to you.”
30. 30GOFEኤንታ አይፈይካ ዶየትስ። የሱሲ ኤንታኮ፥ “ሀይሳ ኦደስካ ኦዶፕተ” ያግድ ምንꬅ ኦድስ።BSBBSB: And their eyes were opened. Jesus warned them sternly, “See that no one finds out about this!”
31. 31GOFEሽን አሳት ብድ የሱሳባ ሄ ቢታ ኡባን ኦድዶሶና።BSBBSB: But they went out and spread the news about Him throughout the land.
32. 32GOFEኤንቲ ያፐ ከይያ ዎደ አሳይ ቱና አያናይ ኦይክድ ሙምስዳ እስ አስ የሱሳኮ ኤህዶሶና።BSBBSB: As they were leaving, a demon-possessed man who was mute was brought to Jesus.
33. 33GOFEቱና አያናይ ከይዳፐ ጉየ ሙመ ኡራይ ኦደትስ። ደረይካ ማላለትድ፥ “ሀይሳ መላ ኦራꬃባይ እስራኤለ ቢታን ሀንቤና” ያግዶሶና።BSBBSB: And when the demon had been driven out, the man began to speak. The crowds were amazed and said, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel!”
34. 34GOFEሽን ፋርሳወት፥ “ቱና አያናታ ሀላቃን ቱና አያናታ ከሴስ” ያግዶሶና።BSBBSB: But the Pharisees said, “It is by the prince of demons that He drives out demons.”
35. 35GOFEየሱሲ አይሁደ ዎሳ ኬꬃታን ታማርስሸ፥ ሳሎ ካዎተꬃ ዎንገላ ሳባክሸ፥ አሳ ሀርገ ኡባፈ ፓꬅሸ ካታማታንነ ጉታ ኡባን ዩይስ።BSBBSB: Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness.
36. 36GOFEዳሮ ደረይ፥ ሄምያ አስ ባይና ዶርሳዳ ኤንታና በእያ አስ ꬋይን ኡንኤትድ ደኤይሳታ በእድ ኤንታዉ ቃትስ።BSBBSB: When He saw the crowds, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
37. 37GOFEባ ታማረታኮ፥ “ሺቃና ካꬃይ ዳሮ፥ ሽን ካꬃ ሺሽያ አሳይ ጉꬃ።BSBBSB: Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.
38. 38GOFEሄሳ ግሾ፥ ጎዳይ ካꬃ ሺሽያ ኦሳንቾታ የዳና መላ ዎስተ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest.”
