1. 1LXXΑΚΟΥΣΑΤΕ ταῦτα, οἱ ἱερεῖς, καὶ προσέχετε, οἶκος Ἰσραήλ, καὶ ὁ οἶκος τοῦ βασιλέως, ἐνωτίζεσθε, διότι πρὸς ὑμᾶς ἐστι τὸ κρίμα· ὅτι παγὶς ἐγενήθητε τῇ σκοπιᾷ καὶ ὡς δίκτυον ἐκτεταμένον ἐπὶ τὸ Ἰταβύριον,BSBBSB: “Hear this, O priests! Take heed, O house of Israel! Give ear, O royal house! For this judgment is against you because you have been a snare at Mizpah, a net spread out on Tabor.
2. 2LXXὃ οἱ ἀγρεύοντες τὴν θήραν κατέπηξαν. ἐγὼ δὲ παιδευτὴς ὑμῶν·BSBBSB: The rebels are deep in slaughter; but I will chastise them all.
3. 3LXXἐγὼ ἔγνων τὸν Ἐφραίμ, καὶ Ἰσραὴλ οὐκ ἀπέστη ἀπ᾿ ἐμοῦ· διότι νῦν ἐξεπόρνευσεν Ἐφραίμ, ἐμιάνθη Ἰσραήλ.BSBBSB: I know all about Ephraim, and Israel is not hidden from Me. For now, O Ephraim, you have turned to prostitution; Israel is defiled.
4. 4LXXοὐκ ἔδωκαν τὰ διαβούλια αὐτῶν τοῦ ἐπιστρέψαι πρὸς τὸν Θεὸν αὐτῶν, ὅτι πνεῦμα πορνείας ἐν αὐτοῖς ἐστι, τὸν δὲ Κύριον οὐκ ἐπέγνωσαν.BSBBSB: Their deeds do not permit them to return to their God, for a spirit of prostitution is within them, and they do not know the LORD.
5. 5LXXκαὶ ταπεινωθήσεται ἡ ὕβρις τοῦ Ἰσραὴλ εἰς πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ, καὶ Ἰσραὴλ καὶ Ἐφραὶμ ἀσθενήσουσιν ἐν ταῖς ἀδικίαις αὐτῶν, καὶ ἀσθενήσει καὶ Ἰούδας μετ᾿ αὐτῶν.BSBBSB: Israel’s arrogance testifies against them; Israel and Ephraim stumble in their iniquity; even Judah stumbles with them.
6. 6LXXμετὰ προβάτων καὶ μόσχων πορεύσονται τοῦ ἐκζητῆσαι τὸν Κύριον καὶ οὐ μὴ εὕρωσιν αὐτόν, ὅτι ἐκκέκλικεν ἀπ᾿ αὐτῶν,BSBBSB: They go with their flocks and herds to seek the LORD, but they do not find Him; He has withdrawn Himself from them.
7. 7LXXὅτι τὸν Κύριον ἐγκατέλιπον, ὅτι τέκνα ἀλλότρια ἐγεννήθησαν αὐτοῖς· νῦν καταφάγεται αὐτοὺς ἡ ἐρυσίβη, καὶ τοὺς κλήρους αὐτῶν.BSBBSB: They have been unfaithful to the LORD; for they have borne illegitimate children. Now the New Moon will devour them along with their land.
8. 8LXXΣαλπίσατε σάλπιγγι ἐπὶ τοὺς βουνούς, ἠχήσατε ἐπὶ τῶν ὑψηλῶν, κηρύξατε ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ Ὦν· ἐξέστη Βενιαμίν,BSBBSB: Blow the ram’s horn in Gibeah, the trumpet in Ramah; raise the battle cry in Beth-aven: Lead on, O Benjamin!
9. 9LXXἘφραὶμ εἰς ἀφανισμὸν ἐγένετο ἐν ἡμέραις ἐλέγχου· ἐν ταῖς φυλαῖς τοῦ Ἰσραὴλ ἔδειξα πιστά.BSBBSB: Ephraim will be laid waste on the day of rebuke. Among the tribes of Israel I proclaim what is certain.
10. 10LXXἐγένοντο οἱ ἄρχοντες Ἰούδα ὡς μετατιθέντες ὅρια, ἐπ᾿ αὐτοὺς ἐκχεῶ ὡς ὕδωρ τὸ ὅρμημά μου.BSBBSB: The princes of Judah are like those who move boundary stones; I will pour out My fury upon them like water.
11. 11LXXκατεδυνάστευσεν Ἐφραὶμ τὸν ἀντίδικον αὐτοῦ, κατεπάτησε κρίμα, ὅτι ἤρξατο πορεύεσθαι ὀπίσω τῶν ματαίων.BSBBSB: Ephraim is oppressed, crushed in judgment, for he is determined to follow worthless idols.
12. 12LXXκαὶ ἐγὼ ὡς ταραχὴ τῷ Ἐφραὶμ καὶ ὡς κέντρον τῷ οἴκῳ Ἰούδα.BSBBSB: So I am like a moth to Ephraim, and like decay to the house of Judah.
13. 13LXXκαὶ εἶδεν Ἐφραὶμ τὴν νόσον αὐτοῦ καὶ Ἰούδας τὴν ὀδύνην αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐπορεύθη Ἐφραὶμ πρὸς Ἀσσυρίους καὶ ἀπέστειλε πρέσβεις πρὸς βασιλέα Ἰαρείμ· καὶ αὐτὸς οὐκ ἠδυνάσθη ἰάσασθαι ὑμᾶς, καὶ οὐ μὴ διαπαύσῃ ἐξ ὑμῶν ὀδύνη.BSBBSB: When Ephraim saw his sickness and Judah his wound, then Ephraim turned to Assyria and sent to the great king. But he cannot cure you or heal your wound.
14. 14LXXδιότι ἐγώ εἰμι ὡς πανθὴρ τῷ Ἐφραὶμ καὶ ὡς λέων τῷ οἴκῳ Ἰούδα· καὶ ἐγὼ ἁρπῶμαι καὶ πορεύσομαι καὶ λήψομαι, καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ὁ ἐξαιρούμενος.BSBBSB: For I am like a lion to Ephraim and like a young lion to the house of Judah. I, even I, will tear them to pieces and then go away. I will carry them off where no one can rescue them.
15. 15LXXπορεύσομαι καὶ ἐπιστρέψω εἰς τὸν τόπον μου, ἕως οὗ ἀφανισθῶσι· καὶ ζητήσουσι τὸ πρόσωπόν μου, ἐν θλίψει αὐτῶν ὀρθριοῦσι πρός με λέγοντες·BSBBSB: Then I will return to My place until they admit their guilt and seek My face; in their affliction they will earnestly seek Me.”
