Numbers 33 (LXX)

1ΚΑΙ οὗτοι οἱ σταθμοὶ τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραήλ, ὡς ἐξῆλθον ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν ἐν χειρὶ Μωυσῆ καὶ Ἀαρών·These are the journeys of the Israelites when they came out of the land of Egypt by their divisions under the leadership of Moses and Aaron.

2καὶ ἔγραψε Μωυσῆς τὰς ἀπάρσεις αὐτῶν καὶ τοὺς σταθμοὺς αὐτῶν διὰ ρήματος Κυρίου, καὶ οὗτοι οἱ σταθμοὶ τῆς πορείας αὐτῶν.At the LORD’s command, Moses recorded the stages of their journey. These are the stages listed by their starting points:

3ἀπῇραν ἐκ Ραμεσσῆ τῷ μηνὶ τῷ πρώτῳ τῇ πεντεκαιδεκάτῃ ἡμέρᾳ τοῦ μηνὸς τοῦ πρώτου· τῇ ἐπαύριον τοῦ πάσχα ἐξῆλθον οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ ἐν χειρὶ ὑψηλῇ ἐναντίον πάντων τῶν Αἰγυπτίων,On the fifteenth day of the first month, on the day after the Passover, the Israelites set out from Rameses. They marched out defiantly in full view of all the Egyptians,

4καὶ οἱ Αἰγύπτιοι ἔθαπτον ἐξ αὐτῶν τοὺς τεθνηκότας πάντας, οὓς ἐπάταξε Κύριος, πᾶν πρωτότοκον ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ, καὶ ἐν τοῖς θεοῖς αὐτῶν ἐποίησε τὴν ἐκδίκησιν Κύριος.who were burying all their firstborn, whom the LORD had struck down among them; for the LORD had executed judgment against their gods.

5καὶ ἀπάραντες οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ ἐκ Ραμεσσῆ παρενέβαλον εἰς Σοκχώθ.The Israelites set out from Rameses and camped at Succoth.

6καὶ ἀπάραντες ἐκ Σοκχὼθ παρενέβαλον εἰς Βουθάν, ὅ ἐστι μέρος τι τῆς ἐρήμου.They set out from Succoth and camped at Etham, on the edge of the wilderness.

7καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐκ Βουθὰν καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐπὶ τὸ στόμα Εἰρώθ, ὅ ἐστιν ἀπέναντι Βεελσεπφῶν, καὶ παρενέβαλον ἀπέναντι Μαγδώλου.They set out from Etham and turned back to Pi-hahiroth, opposite Baal-zephon, and they camped near Migdol.

8καὶ ἀπῇραν ἀπέναντι Εἰρὼθ καὶ διέβησαν μέσον τῆς θαλάσσης εἰς τὴν ἔρημον καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν ὁδὸν τριῶν ἡμερῶν διὰ τῆς ἐρήμου αὐτοὶ καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐν Πικρίαις.They set out from Pi-hahiroth and crossed through the sea, into the wilderness, and they journeyed three days into the Wilderness of Etham and camped at Marah.

9καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐκ Πικριῶν καὶ ἦλθον εἰς Αἰλίμ· καὶ ἐν Αἰλὶμ δώδεκα πηγαὶ ὑδάτων καὶ ἑβδομήκοντα στελέχη φοινίκων, καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐκεῖ παρὰ τὸ ὕδωρ.They set out from Marah and came to Elim, where there were twelve springs and seventy palm trees, and they camped there.

10καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐξ Αἰλὶμ καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐπὶ θάλασσαν ἐρυθράν.They set out from Elim and camped by the Red Sea.

11καὶ ἀπῇραν ἀπὸ θαλάσσης ἐρυθρᾶς, καὶ παρενέβαλον εἰς τὴν ἔρημον Σίν.They set out from the Red Sea and camped in the Desert of Sin.

12καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐκ τῆς ἐρήμου Σὶν καὶ παρενέβαλον εἰς Ραφακά.They set out from the Desert of Sin and camped at Dophkah.

13καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐκ Ραφακὰ καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐν Αἰλούς.They set out from Dophkah and camped at Alush.

14καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐξ Αἰλοὺς καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐν Ραφιδίν, καὶ οὐκ ἦν ἐκεῖ ὕδωρ τῷ λαῷ πιεῖν.They set out from Alush and camped at Rephidim, where there was no water for the people to drink.

15καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐκ Ραφιδὶν καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ Σινά.They set out from Rephidim and camped in the Wilderness of Sinai.

16καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐκ τῆς ἐρήμου Σινὰ καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐν Μνήμασι τῆς ἐπιθυμίας.They set out from the Wilderness of Sinai and camped at Kibroth-hattaavah.

17καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐκ Μνημάτων τῆς ἐπιθυμίας καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐν Ἀσηρώθ.They set out from Kibroth-hattaavah and camped at Hazeroth.

18καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐξ Ἀσηρὼθ καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐν Ραθαμᾷ.They set out from Hazeroth and camped at Rithmah.

19καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐκ Ραθαμᾶ καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐν Ρεμμὼν Φαρές.They set out from Rithmah and camped at Rimmon-perez.

20καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐκ Ρεμμὼν Φαρὲς καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐν Λεβωνᾷ.They set out from Rimmon-perez and camped at Libnah.

21καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐκ Λεβωνᾷ καὶ παρενέβαλον εἰς Ρεσσάν.They set out from Libnah and camped at Rissah.

22καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐκ Ρεσσὰν καὶ παρενέβαλον εἰς Μακελλάθ.They set out from Rissah and camped at Kehelathah.

23καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐκ Μακελλὰθ καὶ παρενέβαλον εἰς Σαφάρ.They set out from Kehelathah and camped at Mount Shepher.

24καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐκ Σαφὰρ καὶ παρενέβαλον εἰς Χαραδάθ.They set out from Mount Shepher and camped at Haradah.

25καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐκ Χαραδὰθ καὶ παρενέβαλον εἰς Μακηλώθ.They set out from Haradah and camped at Makheloth.

26καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐκ Μακηλὼθ καὶ παρενέβαλον εἰς Καταάθ.They set out from Makheloth and camped at Tahath.

27καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐκ Καταὰθ καὶ παρενέβαλον εἰς Ταράθ.They set out from Tahath and camped at Terah.

28καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐκ Ταρὰθ καὶ παρενέβαλον εἰς Μαθεκκά.They set out from Terah and camped at Mithkah.

29καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐκ Μαθεκκὰ καὶ παρενέβαλον εἰς Σελμωνᾶ.They set out from Mithkah and camped at Hashmonah.

30καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐκ Σελμωνᾶ καὶ παρενέβαλον εἰς Μασουρούθ.They set out from Hashmonah and camped at Moseroth.

31καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐκ Μασουροὺθ καὶ παρενέβαλον εἰς Βαναία.They set out from Moseroth and camped at Bene-jaakan.

32καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐκ Βαναία καὶ παρενέβαλον εἰς τὸ ὄρος Γαδγάδ.They set out from Bene-jaakan and camped at Hor-haggidgad.

33καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐκ τοῦ ὄρους Γαδγὰδ καὶ παρενέβαλον εἰς Ἐτεβαθά.They set out from Hor-haggidgad and camped at Jotbathah.

34καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐξ Ἐτεβαθὰ καὶ παρενέβαλον εἰς Ἐβρωνά.They set out from Jotbathah and camped at Abronah.

35καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐξ Ἐβρωνὰ καὶ παρενέβαλον εἰς Γεσιὼν Γάβερ.They set out from Abronah and camped at Ezion-geber.

36καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐκ Γεσιὼν Γάβερ καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ Σίν. καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐκ τῆς ἐρήμου Σὶν καὶ παρενέβαλον εἰς τὴν ἔρημον Φαράν· αὕτη ἐστὶ Κάδης.They set out from Ezion-geber and camped at Kadesh in the Wilderness of Zin.

37καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐκ Κάδης καὶ παρενέβαλον εἰς Ὤρ τὸ ὄρος πλησίον γῆς Ἐδώμ·They set out from Kadesh and camped at Mount Hor, on the outskirts of the land of Edom.

38καὶ ἀνέβη Ἀαρὼν ὁ ἱερεὺς διὰ προστάγματος Κυρίου καὶ ἀπέθανεν ἐκεῖ ἐν τῷ τεσσαρακοστῷ ἔτει τῆς ἐξόδου τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραὴλ ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου τῷ μηνὶ τῷ πέμπτῳ μιᾷ τοῦ μηνός·At the LORD’s command, Aaron the priest climbed Mount Hor and died there on the first day of the fifth month, in the fortieth year after the Israelites had come out of the land of Egypt.

39καὶ Ἀαρὼν ἦν τριῶν καὶ εἴκοσι καὶ ἑκατὸν ἐτῶν, ὅτε ἀπέθνησκεν ἐν Ὢρ τῷ ὄρει.Aaron was 123 years old when he died on Mount Hor.

40καὶ ἀκούσας ὁ Χανανὶς βασιλεὺς Ἀράδ, καὶ οὗτος κατῴκει ἐν γῇ Χαναάν, ὅτε εἰσεπορεύοντο οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραήλ.Now the Canaanite king of Arad, who lived in the Negev in the land of Canaan, heard that the Israelites were coming.

41καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐξ Ὢρ τοῦ ὄρους καὶ παρενέβαλον εἰς Σελμωνά.And the Israelites set out from Mount Hor and camped at Zalmonah.

42καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐκ Σελμωνὰ καὶ παρενέβαλον εἰς Φινώ.They set out from Zalmonah and camped at Punon.

43καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐκ Φινὼ καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐν Ὠβώθ.They set out from Punon and camped at Oboth.

44καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐξ Ὠβὼθ καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐν Γαΐ, ἐν τῷ πέραν ἐπὶ τῶν ὁρίων Μωάβ.They set out from Oboth and camped at Iye-abarim on the border of Moab.

45καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐκ Γαΐ καὶ παρενέβαλον εἰς Δαιβὼν Γάδ.They set out from Iyim and camped at Dibon-gad.

46καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐκ Δαιβὼν Γὰδ καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐν Γελμὼν Δεβλαθαίμ.They set out from Dibon-gad and camped at Almon-diblathaim.

47καὶ ἀπῇραν ἐκ Γελμὼν Δεβλαθαὶμ καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐπὶ τὰ ὄρη τὰ Ἀβαρίμ, ἀπέναντι Ναβαῦ.They set out from Almon-diblathaim and camped in the mountains of Abarim facing Nebo.

48καὶ ἀπῇραν ἀπὸ τῶν ὀρέων Ἀβαρὶμ καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐπὶ δυσμῶν Μωάβ, ἐπὶ τοῦ Ἰορδάνου κατὰ Ἱεριχώ,They set out from the mountains of Abarim and camped on the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho.

49καὶ παρενέβαλον παρὰ τὸν Ἰορδάνην ἀνὰ μέσον Αἰσιμὼθ ἕως Βελσατὶμ κατὰ δυσμὰς Μωάβ.And there on the plains of Moab they camped by the Jordan, from Beth-jeshimoth to Abel-shittim.

50Καὶ ἐλάλησε Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν ἐπὶ δυσμῶν Μωὰβ παρὰ τὸν Ἰορδάνην κατὰ Ἱεριχὼ λέγων·On the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho, the LORD said to Moses,

51λάλησον τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἰσραὴλ καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτούς· ὑμεῖς διαβαίνετε τὸν Ἰορδάνην εἰς γῆν Χαναὰν“Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When you cross the Jordan into the land of Canaan,

52καὶ ἀπολεῖτε πάντας τοὺς κατοικοῦντας ἐν τῇ γῇ πρὸ προσώπου ὑμῶν καὶ ἐξαρεῖτε τὰς σκοπιὰς αὐτῶν καὶ πάντα τὰ εἴδωλα τὰ χωνευτὰ αὐτῶν ἀπολεῖτε αὐτὰ καὶ πάσας τὰς στήλας αὐτῶν ἐξαρεῖτε.you must drive out before you all the inhabitants of the land, destroy all their carved images and cast idols, and demolish all their high places.

53καὶ ἀπολεῖτε πάντας τοὺς κατοικοῦντας τὴν γῆν καὶ κατοικήσετε ἐν αὐτῇ· ὑμῖν γὰρ δέδωκα τὴν γῆν αὐτῶν ἐν κλήρῳ.You are to take possession of the land and settle in it, for I have given you the land to possess.

54καὶ κατακληρονομήσετε τὴν γῆν αὐτῶν ἐν κλήρῳ κατὰ φυλὰς ὑμῶν· τοῖς πλείοσι πληθυνεῖτε τὴν κατάσχεσιν αὐτῶν καὶ τοῖς ἐλάττοσιν ἐλαττώσετε τὴν κατάσχεσιν αὐτῶν· εἰς ὃ ἂν ἐξέλθῃ τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ ἐκεῖ, αὐτοῦ ἔσται· κατὰ φυλὰς πατριῶν ὑμῶν κληρονομήσετε.And you are to divide the land by lot according to your clans. Give a larger inheritance to a larger clan and a smaller inheritance to a smaller one. Whatever falls to each one by lot will be his. You will receive an inheritance according to the tribes of your fathers.

55ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ἀπολέσητε τοὺς κατοικοῦντας ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἀπὸ προσώπου ὑμῶν, καὶ ἔσται οὓς ἐὰν καταλίπητε ἐξ αὐτῶν, σκόλοπες ἐν τοῖς ὀφθαλμοῖς ὑμῶν καὶ βολίδες ἐν ταῖς πλευραῖς ὑμῶν καὶ ἐχθρεύσουσιν ὑμῖν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, ἐφ' ἣν ὑμεῖς κατοικήσετε,But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land before you, those you allow to remain will become barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides; they will harass you in the land where you settle.

56καὶ ἔσται καθότι διεγνώκειν ποιῆσαι αὐτούς, ποιήσω ὑμᾶς.And then I will do to you what I had planned to do to them.”
