BSB BSB: With his wife’s full knowledge, he kept back some of the proceeds for himself, but brought a portion and laid it at the apostles’ feet.

5 UDB જ્યારે અનાન્યાએ આ શબ્દો સાંભળ્યા ત્યારે, તરત તે પડી ગયો અને મરણ પામ્યો. અને બધા જેઓએ અનાન્યાના મરણ વિષે સાંભળ્યું તેઓ સર્વ ભયભીત થયા. BSB BSB: On hearing these words, Ananias fell down and died. And great fear came over all who heard what had happened.
6 UDB કેટલાક જુવાનો આગળ આવ્યા, તેના શરીરને કપડામાં લપેટ્યું, અને બહાર લઇ જઈને દફ્નાવ્યો. BSB BSB: Then the young men stepped forward, wrapped up his body, and carried him out and buried him.

8 UDB પછી પિતરે અનાન્યા જે નાણા લાવ્યો હતો તે તેને બતાવ્યાં અને તેને પૂછ્યું, "મને કહે, તમે બંનેએ જે જમીન વેચી તેનાં શું તમને આટલાં જ નાણા મળ્યાં?" તેણે કહ્યું, "હા, અમને આટલું જ મળ્યું." BSB BSB: “Tell me,” said Peter, “is this the price you and your husband got for the land?” “Yes,” she answered, “that is the price.”
9 UDB તેથી પિતરે તેને કહ્યું, "તમે બંનેએ ભયંકર બાબત કરી છે! તમે બંને પ્રભુના આત્માને છેતરવાનો પ્રયત્ન કરવામાં સંમત થયા છો! સાંભળ! તારા પતિને દફનાવનારાઓનાં પગલાં તને સંભળાય છે? તેઓ અહીં બારણાની બહાર જ છે, અને, તેઓ તને પણ લઇ જશે!" BSB BSB: “How could you agree to test the Spirit of the Lord?” Peter replied. “Look, the feet of the men who buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out also.”
10 UDB તરત જ સાફીરા પડી ગઈ અને પિતરના પગ પાસે જ મરણ પામી. પછી તે જુવાનો અંદર આવ્યા. જ્યારે તેઓએ તેને પણ મરણ પામેલી જોઈ, ત્યારે તેઓએ તેના શરીરને બહાર લઇ જઈને તેના પતિની બાજુમાં દફનાવ્યું. BSB BSB: At that instant she fell down at his feet and died. Then the young men came in and, finding her dead, carried her out and buried her beside her husband.
12 UDB ઈશ્વર પ્રેરિતોને ઘણા અદભૂત ચમત્કારો કરવા સમર્થ કરતા હતા જેના લીધે તેઓ જે સંદેશ પ્રગટ કરતા હતા તેનું સત્ય લોકો મધ્યે સાબિત થયું. બધા વિશ્વાસીઓ ભક્તિસ્થાનના આંગણામાં સુલેમાનની પરસાળ તરીકે ઓળખાતી જગ્યાએ નિયમિત રીતે ભેગા મળતા હતા. 20 UDB પ્રેરિતોને કહ્યું," ભક્તિસ્થાનના આંગણામાં જાઓ, ત્યાં ઊભા રહો, અને અનંત જીવન વિષેનો આ સઘળો સંદેશ લોકોને જણાવો." BSB BSB: “Go, stand in the temple courts and tell the people the full message of this new life.”
21 UDB આ સાંભળ્યા પછી, પ્રેરિતોએ પરોઢે ભક્તિસ્થાનના આંગણામાં જઈને લોકોને ફરીથી ઈસુ વિષે શીખવવાનું શરૂ કર્યું. તે દરમ્યાન, મુખ્ય યાજક તેમજ બીજા જેઓ તેની સાથે હતા તેઓએ યહૂદી ન્યાયસભાના બીજા સભ્યોને ભેગા કર્યા. તેઓ બધા ઇઝરાયલના આગેવાનો હતા. એકઠા મળ્યા પછી, તેઓએ રક્ષકોને પ્રેરિતોને લાવવા માટે જેલમાં મોકલ્યા. BSB BSB: At daybreak the apostles entered the temple courts as they had been told and began to teach the people. When the high priest and his associates arrived, they convened the Sanhedrin—the full assembly of the elders of Israel—and sent to the jail for the apostles.
22 UDB પણ જ્યારે રક્ષકો જેલમાં આવી પહોંચ્યા, ત્યારે તેમણેે આવીને જોયું તો પ્રેરિતો ત્યાં ન હતા. તેથી તેઓ સભામાં પાછા ફર્યા અને જણાવ્યું, BSB BSB: But on arriving at the jail, the officers did not find them there. So they returned with the report:
23 UDB "અમે જોયું હતું કે જેલના દરવાજા બરાબર બંધ હતા, અને રક્ષકો દરવાજાની બહાર ઊભા રહેલા હતા, પણ અમે જ્યારે દરવાજા ખોલ્યા અને તે માણસોને લેવા અંદર ગયા, ત્યારે ત્યાં જેલમાં કોઈ હતું નહિ." BSB BSB: “We found the jail securely locked, with the guards posted at the doors; but when we opened them, we found no one inside.”
24 UDB જ્યારે ભક્તિસ્થાનના રક્ષકોના આગેવાન તેમજ મુખ્ય યાજકોએ તે સાંભળ્યું, ત્યારે તેઓ ખૂબ મૂંઝવણમાં પડી ગયા, અને આશ્ચર્ય પામ્યા કે આ બધી ઘટનાઓનું શું પરિણામ આવશે. BSB BSB: When the captain of the temple guard and the chief priests heard this account, they were perplexed as to what was happening.
25 UDB પછી કોઈકે આવીને તેઓને કહ્યું કે, "આ સાંભળો! તમે જે માણસોને જેલમાં પૂર્યા હતા તેઓ તો અત્યારે ભક્તિસ્થાનના આંગણામાં ઊભા છે, અને લોકોને શીખવી રહ્યા છે!" BSB BSB: Then someone came in and announced, “Look, the men you put in jail are standing in the temple courts teaching the people!”
26 UDB તેથી ભક્તિસ્થાનના રક્ષકોનો આગેવાન અધિકારીઓની સાથે ભક્તિસ્થાનના આંગણામાં ગયો, અને તેઓ પ્રેરિતોને સભાખંડમાં પાછા લાવ્યા. પણ તેઓએ તેમની સાથે ખરાબ વ્યવહાર કર્યો નહિ, કારણ કે તેઓ બીતા હતા કે લોકો તેમના તરફ પત્થર ફેંકીને મારી નાખશે. BSB BSB: At that point, the captain went with the officers and brought the apostles—but not by force, for fear the people would stone them.
27 UDB ભક્તિસ્થાનના રક્ષકોનો આગેવાન તથા અધિકારીઓ પ્રેરિતોને સભાખંડમાં લાવ્યા પછી, તેઓએ તેમને સભાના સભ્યોની સામે ઊભા રહેવાનો આદેશ આપ્યો, અને મુખ્ય યાજકે તેમની પૂછપરછ કરી. BSB BSB: They brought them in and made them stand before the Sanhedrin, where the high priest interrogated them.
28 UDB તેણે તેઓને કહ્યું, "અમે તમને આદેશ આપ્યો હતો કે તમારે તે માણસ ઈસુ વિષે લોકોને શીખવવું નહિ! પણ તમે અમારી વાત માની નહિ, અને તમે આખા યરુશાલેમના લોકોને તેના સંબંધી શીખવ્યું છે! એ ઉપરાંત, તમે એવું સાબિત કરવા માગો છો કે તે માણસના મરણ વિષે અમે દોષિત છીએ!" BSB BSB: “We gave you strict orders not to teach in this name,” he said. “Yet you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and are determined to make us responsible for this man’s blood.”
29 UDB પણ પિતરે, પોતાના તરફથી અને બીજા પ્રેરિતો વતી જવાબ આપ્યો, "ઈશ્વરે અમને જે કરવાની આજ્ઞા આપી છે તે અમારે પાળવી જોઈએ, તમે લોકો અમને જે કરવાનું કહો છો તે નહિ! BSB BSB: But Peter and the other apostles replied, “We must obey God rather than men.
30 UDB તમે એમાંના જ છો જેમણે ઈસુને વધસ્તંભે જડી દીધા! પણ ઈશ્વર, જેમનું આપણા પૂર્વજો ભજન કરતા હતા, તેમણે ઈસુને તેમના મરણ પછી પાછા સજીવન કર્યા. BSB BSB: The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you had killed by hanging Him on a tree.
31 UDB ઈશ્વરે ઈસુને બીજા બધા કરતાં વધારે માન આપ્યું. તેમણે ઈસુને આપણા બચાવનાર અને આપણા પર રાજ કરનાર ઠરાવ્યા. તેમણે આપણને ઇઝરાયલીઓને પશ્ચાતાપ કરી પાપ કરતા અટકાવ્યા, કે જેથી તેઓ આપણા પાપોની માફી આપે. BSB BSB: God exalted Him to His right hand as Prince and Savior, in order to grant repentance and forgiveness of sins to Israel.

BSB BSB: We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey Him.”
33 UDB જ્યારે સભાના સભ્યોએ તે સાંભળ્યું, ત્યારે તેઓ પ્રેરિતો પર ખૂબ ગુસ્સે થયા, અને તેઓ તેમને મારી નાખવા માગતા હતા. BSB BSB: When the Council members heard this, they were enraged, and they resolved to put the apostles to death.

BSB BSB: But a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law who was honored by all the people, stood up in the Sanhedrin and ordered that the men be put outside for a short time.

BSB BSB: Some time ago Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody, and about four hundred men joined him. He was killed, all his followers were dispersed, and it all came to nothing.
38 UDB તેથી હવે હું તમને આ કહું છું: આ માણસોને કંઈ નુકસાન કરશો નહિ! તેમને છોડી દો! હું આ કહું છું કારણ કે જે બાબતો અત્યારે બની રહી છે તે જો માણસોની બનાવેલી યોજના છે તો, કોઈક તેને અટકાવશે. અને તેઓ નિષ્ફળ જશે. BSB BSB: So in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone. Let them go! For if their purpose or endeavor is of human origin, it will fail.
39 UDB પણ જો ઈશ્વરે તેમને આ કરવાની આજ્ઞા આપી હશે તો, તમે તેઓને અટકાવી શકશો નહિ, કારણ કે તમે એ જોઈ શકશો કે તમે ઈશ્વરની વિરુદ્ધ કાર્ય કરી રહ્યા છો!" ગમાલિયેલે જે કહ્યું તે સભામાંના બીજા સભ્યોએ સ્વીકાર્યું. BSB BSB: But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop them. You may even find yourselves fighting against God.”

BSB BSB: At this, they yielded to Gamaliel. They called the apostles in and had them flogged. Then they ordered them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and released them.

BSB BSB: The apostles left the Sanhedrin, rejoicing that they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name.
