3 UDB હેરોદ અન્તિપાસ રાજાના વ્યવસ્થાપક ખૂઝાની પત્ની જોઆના, સુસાન્ના અને બીજી ઘણી સ્ત્રીઓ હતી. ઈસુ અને તેમના શિષ્યોને સહાય કરવા તેઓ પોતાનાં નાણાંં પૂરાં પાડતી હતી. BSB BSB: Joanna the wife of Herod’s household manager Chuza, Susanna, and many others. These women were ministering to them out of their own means.
4 UDB એક દિવસ એક મોટું ટોળું ભેગું થયું હતું કારણ કે લોકો ઈસુને જોવા જુદાજુદા નગરોમાંથી આવી રહ્યા હતા. પછી તેમણે તેમને આ વાર્તા કહી: BSB BSB: While a large crowd was gathering and people were coming to Jesus from town after town, He told them this parable:

BSB BSB: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. And as he was sowing, some seed fell along the path, where it was trampled, and the birds of the air devoured it.
6 UDB કેટલાંક બીજ ખડકાળ જમીન પર પડ્યાં. ત્યાં બહુ થોડી માટી હતી. તેથી, જેવાં તે બીજ ઊગ્યાં કે છોડવાઓ સુકાઈ ગયા કારણ કે ત્યાં ભેજ હતો નહિ. BSB BSB: Some fell on rocky ground, and when it came up, the seedlings withered because they had no moisture.
7 UDB કેટલાંક બીજ એવી જમીન પર પડ્યાં કે જ્યાં ઝાંખરાંનાં બીજ હતાં. તેથી અનાજનાં કોમળ છોડવાઓ સાથે ઝાંખરાં ઊગી નીકળ્યાં અને તેમને દબાવી નાખ્યાં તેથી તેઓ વૃદ્ધિ પામી શક્યાં નહિ. BSB BSB: Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up with it and choked the seedlings.
8 UDB પણ કેટલાંક અનાજનાં બીજ ફળદ્રુપ જમીન પર પડ્યાં, અને એટલાં સરસ વધ્યાં કે તેમણે સો ગણો પાક પેદા કર્યો.” આ વાતો કહ્યા પછી, ઈસુએ તેઓને કહ્યું કે, “તમે મને જે કહેતા સાંભળ્યો છે તે વિષે તમારે બધાએ કાળજીપૂર્વક વિચારવું જોઈએ!” BSB BSB: Still other seed fell on good soil, where it sprang up and produced a crop—a hundredfold.” As Jesus said this, He called out, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”
9 UDB પછી ઈસુના શિષ્યોએ તેમને દ્રષ્ટાંતનો અર્થ જણાવવા કહ્યું. BSB BSB: Then His disciples asked Him what this parable meant.
10 UDB અને તેમણે કહ્યું કે, “ઈશ્વર કેવી રીતે રાજા તરીકે રાજ કરશે તે વિશેની ગુપ્ત બાબતો જાણવાનો અધિકાર તમને આપવામાં આવ્યો છે. પણ બીજા દરેક સાથે તો હું માત્ર દ્રષ્ટાંતોમાં બોલું છું, કે જેથી, ‘જો કે તેઓ જુએ, તો પણ તેઓ જાણે નહિ, અને જો કે તેઓ સાંભળે, તો પણ તેઓ સમજે નહિ.’ BSB BSB: He replied, “The knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that, ‘though seeing, they may not see; though hearing, they may not understand.’
11 UDB હવે વાર્તાનો અર્થ આ છે: બીજ ઈશ્વરનું વચન દર્શાવે છે. BSB BSB: Now this is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God.
12 UDB જ્યારે લોકો ઈશ્વરનું વચન સાંભળે છે પણ ત્યાર બાદ શેતાન આવે છે અને તે વચન તેમનાં મનોમાંથી અને હૃદયોમાંથી લઈ જાય છે ત્યારે શું થાય છે, તે રસ્તા પર પડેલા બીજ બતાવે છે. પરિણામે, તેઓ તે વચન માનતા નથી અને તેમનો બચાવ થતો નથી. BSB BSB: The seeds along the path are those who hear, but the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved.

14 UDB જ્યારે લોકો ઈશ્વરનું વચન સાંભળે છે પણ પછી જીવન જીવતાં જીવતાં તેઓ ચિંતાઓ, સંપત્તિ અને જીવનના મોજશોખ જેવી બાબતોથી તેમનાં જીવનમાંના ઈશ્વરના વચનને દબાવી દે છે ત્યારે શું થાય છે, તે ઝાંખરાંમાં પડેલા બીજ દર્શાવે છે. પરિણામે, તેઓ આત્મિક રીતે પરિપક્વ બનતા નથી. BSB BSB: The seeds that fell among the thorns are those who hear, but as they go on their way, they are choked by the worries, riches, and pleasures of this life, and their fruit does not mature.
15 UDB પણ જ્યારે લોકો ઈશ્વરનું વચન સાંભળે છે અને તેને આદરયુક્ત અને પ્રામાણિક હૃદયથી સ્વીકારે છે ત્યારે શું થાય છે તે ફળદ્રુપ જમીન પર પડેલા બીજ દર્શાવે છે. વચનને માનવામાં અને પાળવામાં તેઓ દ્રઢ રહે છે અને તેથી તેઓ સારું આત્મિક ફળ આપે છે. BSB BSB: But the seeds on good soil are those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, cling to it, and by persevering produce a crop.

18 UDB તેથી હું જે કહું છું તેને કાળજીપૂર્વક સાંભળવા માટે ધ્યાન આપો, કારણ કે જેઓ ઈશ્વરનું સત્ય માને છે તેઓને ઈશ્વર વધારે સમજવા સક્ષમ કરશે. પણ જેઓ ઈશ્વરનું સત્ય માનતા નથી તેઓને ઈશ્વર જે થોડું તેઓ વિચારે છે કે તેઓ સમજ્યા છે તેને પણ સમજવા નહિ દે.” BSB BSB: Pay attention, therefore, to how you listen. Whoever has will be given more, but whoever does not have, even what he thinks he has will be taken away from him.”
19 UDB એક દિવસે ઈસુની માતા અને ભાઈઓ તેમને મળવા આવ્યાં, પણ તેઓ તેમની પાસે આવી શક્યાં નહિ કારણ કે જ્યાં તેઓ હતા તે ઘરમાં એક મોટી ભીડ જમા થઈ હતી. BSB BSB: Then Jesus’ mother and brothers came to see Him, but they were unable to reach Him because of the crowd.
20 UDB ત્યારે કોઈકે તેમને કહ્યું કે, ''તમારી માતા અને ભાઈઓ તમને મળવા માટે બહાર ઊભાં છે." BSB BSB: He was told, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to see You.”
21 UDB પણ તેમણે તેઓને પ્રત્યુત્તર આપ્યો કે, “જેઓ ઈશ્વરનું વચન સાંભળે છે અને તેને પાળે છે તેઓ મને મારી માતા અને ભાઈઓ જેટલાં વહાલાં છે.” BSB BSB: But He replied, “My mother and brothers are those who hear the word of God and carry it out.”
22 UDB બીજા એક દિવસે ઈસુ તેમના શિષ્યો સાથે હોડીમાં બેઠા. તેમણે તેઓને કહ્યું કે, “હું ઈચ્છું છું કે આપણે સરોવરની પેલી તરફ જઈએ.” તેથી તેઓએ સરોવરમાં હોડી હંકારી. BSB BSB: One day Jesus said to His disciples, “Let us cross to the other side of the lake.” So He got into a boat with them and set out.
23 UDB પણ જ્યારે તેઓ હોડી હંકારતા હતા ત્યારે, ઈસુ ઊંઘી ગયા. ત્યાર પછી સરોવર પર પવનનું એક મોટું તોફાન થયું. હોડી તરત જ પાણીથી ભરાવા લાગી અને તેઓ જોખમમાં આવી પડ્યા. BSB BSB: As they sailed, He fell asleep, and a windstorm came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger.
24 UDB તેથી ઈસુના શિષ્યો તેમની પાસે આવ્યા અને તેમને જગાડ્યા. તેઓએ તેમને કહ્યું કે, “સ્વામી! સ્વામી! આપણે મરી જઈશું!” પછી તેઓ ઊઠ્યા અને પવનને તથા ભયંકર મોજાંઓને શાંત થવા આજ્ઞા આપી અને તેઓ શાંત થયાં. બધું જ શાંત પડી ગયું. BSB BSB: The disciples went and woke Him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” Then Jesus got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters, and they subsided, and all was calm.
25 UDB પછી તેમણે તેઓને કહ્યું કે, “તમારો વિશ્વાસ કેમ આટલો નબળો છે?” શિષ્યો જે હમણાં જ બન્યું હતું તેને કારણે ભયભીત અને આશ્ચર્યચકિત થઈ ગયા હતા. તેઓ એકબીજાને પૂછતાં રહ્યા કે, “આ કોણ છે, કે જે પવન અને પાણીને પણ આજ્ઞા આપવા શક્તિમાન છે, અને તેઓ તેનું માને છે?” BSB BSB: “Where is your faith?” He asked. Frightened and amazed, they asked one another, “Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey Him!”
26 UDB ઈસુ અને તેમના શિષ્યો હોડી હંકારતા રહ્યા અને ગાલીલ જીલ્લા તરફથી સરોવરની સામેની બાજુએ ગેરસાની લોકો રહેતા હતા તે પ્રદેશમાં આવ્યા. BSB BSB: Then they sailed to the region of the Gerasenes, across the lake from Galilee.
27 UDB ઈસુ હોડીમાંથી જમીન પર ઊતર્યા તે પછી, તે વિસ્તારના એક નગરમાંથી એક માણસ તેમને મળ્યો. તે માણસમાં દુષ્ટાત્માઓ હતા. બહુ લાંબા સમયથી તે માણસે વસ્ત્રો પહેર્યાં ન હતાં અને તે ઘરમાં વસતો ન હતો. તેને બદલે, તે કબરોની ગુફાઓમાં રહેતો હતો. BSB BSB: When Jesus stepped ashore, He was met by a demon-possessed man from the town. For a long time this man had not worn clothing or lived in a house, but he stayed in the tombs.

I beg You not to torture me!”
29 UDB તે માણસે આ પ્રમાણે કહ્યું કારણ કે ઈસુએ દુષ્ટાત્માને તેનામાંથી બહાર નીકળવાની આજ્ઞા કરી હતી. જો કે તે માણસને હાથના કાંડામાં અને પગની ઘૂંટીઓમાં સાંકળોથી બાંધવામાં આવતો હતો અને લોકો તેની ચોકી કરતાં હતા તો પણ, ઘણીવાર દુષ્ટાત્મા અચાનક તેને બળજબરીથી જકડી લેતો હતો. પછી તે માણસ સાંકળો તોડી નાખતો અને દુષ્ટાત્મા તેને વેરાન જગાઓમાં લઈ જતો હતો. BSB BSB: For Jesus had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. Many times it had seized him, and though he was bound with chains and shackles, he had broken the chains and been driven by the demon into solitary places.
30 UDB પછી ઈસુએ તેને પૂછ્યું કે, “તારું નામ શું છે?” તેણે પ્રત્યુત્તર આપ્યો કે, “મારું નામ હજારોની સેના છે.” તેણે તેવું કહ્યું કારણ કે તેનામાં ઘણાં દુષ્ટાત્માઓ પેઠા હતા. BSB BSB: “What is your name?” Jesus asked. “Legion,” he replied, because many demons had gone into him.
31 UDB ઈસુ તેમને ઊંડી ખાઈમાં કે જ્યાં ઈશ્વર દુષ્ટાત્માઓને સજા કરે છે ત્યાં જવા હુકમ ન કરે માટે દુષ્ટાત્માઓ તેમને આજીજી કરતાં રહ્યા. BSB BSB: And the demons kept begging Jesus not to order them to go into the Abyss.
32 UDB ત્યાં નજીકમાં પહાડ પર ભૂંડોનું એક મોટું ટોળું ચરતું હતું. દુષ્ટાત્માઓએ ઈસુને આજીજી કરી કે તેઓ તેમને તે ભૂંડોમાં પ્રવેશવા દે અને તેમણે તેઓને પ્રવેશવા દીધા. BSB BSB: There on the hillside a large herd of pigs was feeding. So the demons begged Jesus to let them enter the pigs, and He gave them permission.
33 UDB તેથી દુષ્ટાત્માઓ તે માણસમાંથી નીકળ્યા અને ભૂંડોમાં પેઠા, અને ભૂંડોનું ટોળું ઊંચા ઢોળાવ પરથી સરોવરમાં ધસી પડ્યું અને ડૂબી મર્યું. BSB BSB: Then the demons came out of the man and went into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and was drowned.
34 UDB જ્યારે ભૂંડોને સાચવનારા માણસોએ જે બન્યું હતું તે જોયું ત્યારે, તેઓ ભાગી ગયા! તેઓએ જે જોયું હતું તેના વિષે તેઓએ નગરના અને ગામડાઓના લોકોને હેવાલ આપ્યો. BSB BSB: When those tending the pigs saw what had happened, they ran off and reported this in the town and countryside.
35 UDB પછી જે બન્યું હતું તે જોવા લોકો ત્યાં ગયા. જ્યારે તેઓ ઈસુ જ્યાં હતા ત્યાં આવ્યા ત્યારે, જે માણસમાંથી દુષ્ટાત્માઓ નીકળી ગયા હતા તેને ઈસુના પગ પાસે બેઠેલો અને તેમની વાતો સાંભળતો જોયો. તેમણે જોયું કે તેણે વસ્ત્રો પહેરેલા હતા, અને તેનું મગજ ફરીથી સ્વસ્થ થઈ ગયું હતું અને તેઓ ભયભીત થયા. BSB BSB: So the people went out to see what had happened. They came to Jesus and found the man whom the demons had left, sitting at Jesus’ feet, clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.
36 UDB જે બન્યું હતું તે જે લોકોએ જોયું હતું તેમણે આવેલા લોકોને કેવી રીતે ઈસુએ તે માણસને કે જે દુષ્ટાત્માઓના કબજામાં હતો તેને સાજો કર્યો હતો તે કહ્યું. BSB BSB: Meanwhile, those who had seen it reported how the demon-possessed man had been healed.
37 UDB ત્યારે ગેરસાની પ્રદેશની ચારેબાજુના ઘણા લોકોએ ઈસુને તેમના વિસ્તારમાંથી ચાલ્યા જવા કહ્યું કારણ કે તેઓ ખબૂ જ ભયભીત થયા હતા. તેથી ઈસુ અને તેમના શિષ્યો સરોવરની બીજી તરફ પાછા ફરવા હોડીમાં બેઠા. BSB BSB: Then all the people of the region of the Gerasenes asked Jesus to depart from them, because great fear had taken hold of them. So He got into the boat and started back.
38 UDB તેઓ ત્યાંથી નીકળ્યા તે અગાઉ, જેનામાંથી દુષ્ટાત્માઓ બહાર કાઢવામાં આવ્યા હતા તે માણસે ઈસુને આ કહેતાં આજીજી કરી કે, “મહેરબાની કરીને મને તમારી સાથે આવવા દો!” પણ તેને બદલે ઈસુએ તેને આ કહીને વિદાય કર્યો કે, BSB BSB: The man whom the demons had left begged to go with Jesus. But He sent him away, saying,
39 UDB “ના, તારા ઘરે પાછો જા અને ઈશ્વરે તારા માટે કેટલું બધું કર્યું છે તે લોકોને જણાવ!” તેથી તે માણસ પાછો ગયો અને ઈસુએ તેના માટે કેટલું બધુ કર્યું હતું તે આખા નગરમાં લોકોને જણાવ્યું. BSB BSB: “Return home and describe how much God has done for you.” So the man went away and proclaimed all over the town how much Jesus had done for him.
40 UDB ત્યાર બાદ ઈસુ અને તેમના શિષ્યો સરોવરની પેલે પાર કપરનાહુમ પાછા ગયા. લોકોનું ટોળું ત્યાં તેમની રાહ જોતું હતું અને તેઓએ તેમને આવકાર્યા. BSB BSB: When Jesus returned, the crowd welcomed Him, for they had all been waiting for Him.
41 UDB તરત જ યાઈર નામનો એક માણસ, કે જે ત્યાંના યહૂદી સભાસ્થાનનો એક આગેવાન હતો, તે ઈસુની પાસે આવ્યો અને તેમની આગળ જમીન પર પડ્યો. તેણે ઈસુને તેના ઘરે આવવા કાલાવાલા કર્યાં BSB BSB: Just then a synagogue leader named Jairus came and fell at Jesus’ feet. He begged Him to come to his house,

BSB BSB: because his only daughter, who was about twelve, was dying. As Jesus went with him, the crowds pressed around Him,

BSB BSB: including a woman who had suffered from bleeding for twelve years. She had spent all her money on physicians, but no one was able to heal her.
44 UDB તે ઈસુની પાછળ આવી અને તેમના ઝભ્ભાની કોરને અડકી. તે જ ઘડીએ તેનો રક્તસ્રાવ બંધ થઈ ગયો. BSB BSB: She came up behind Jesus and touched the fringe of His cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped.
45 UDB ઈસુએ પૂછ્યું કે, “મને કોણ અડક્યું?” જ્યારે ઈસુની આસપાસની દરેક વ્યક્તિ કહેતી હતી કે તે તેમને અડકી ન હતી ત્યારે, પિતરે કહ્યું કે, “ગુરુજી, તમારી આસપાસ ઘણા લોકો પડાપડી કરે છે અને તમને દબાવે છે, તો તેઓમાંનું કોઇ પણ તમને અડક્યું હશે!” BSB BSB: “Who touched Me?” Jesus asked. But they all denied it. “Master,” said Peter, “the people are crowding and pressing against You.”
46 UDB પણ ઈસુએ કહ્યું કે, “મને ખબર છે કે કોઈક વ્યક્તિ મને ઇરાદાપૂર્વક અડકી છે, કારણ કે તે વ્યક્તિને સાજો કરવા મારામાંથી પરાક્રમ નીકળ્યું છે.” BSB BSB: But Jesus declared, “Someone touched Me, for I know that power has gone out from Me.”
47 UDB અને જ્યારે તે સ્ત્રીને લાગ્યું કે તે પોતાને છુપાવી શકશે નહિ ત્યારે, તે ધ્રૂજતી ધ્રૂજતી તેમની પાસે આવી અને તેમની આગળ જમીન પર પડી. બીજા લોકોના સાંભળતા તેણે ઈસુને જણાવ્યું કે તે શા માટે તેમને અડકી હતી અને તે કેવી રીતે તરત જ સાજી થઈ હતી. BSB BSB: Then the woman, seeing that she could not escape notice, came trembling and fell down before Him. In the presence of all the people, she explained why she had touched Him and how she had immediately been healed.
48 UDB અને ઈસુએ તેને કહ્યું કે, “પ્રિય બહેન, તેં વિશ્વાસ કર્યો કે હું તને સાજી કરી શકું છું તે કારણે તું સાજી થઈ છે. હવે તારે ઘરે જા, અને ઈશ્વરની શાંતિ તારા પર હો.” BSB BSB: “Daughter,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you. Go in peace.”
49 UDB જ્યારે તેઓ તેની સાથે વાત કરી રહ્યા હતા ત્યારે, એક માણસ યાઈરના ઘરેથી આવ્યો અને તેણે યાઈરને કહ્યું કે, “તારી દીકરી મરી ગઈ છે. તો હવે ગુરુજીને તકલીફ આપીશ નહિ!” BSB BSB: While He was still speaking, someone arrived from the house of the synagogue leader. “Your daughter is dead,” he told Jairus. “Do not bother the Teacher anymore.”
50 UDB પણ જ્યારે ઈસુએ તે સાંભળ્યું ત્યારે, તેમણે યાઈરને કહ્યું કે, “ગભરાઇશ નહિ. મારામાં ફક્ત વિશ્વાસ કર અને તે ફરી જીવતી થશે.” BSB BSB: But Jesus overheard them and said to Jairus, “Do not be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.”
51 UDB જ્યારે તેઓ ઘરની બહાર આવ્યા ત્યારે, ઈસુએ પિતર, યોહાન અને યાકૂબ તથા છોકરીનાં માતાપિતા સિવાય પોતાની સાથે ઘરમાં કોઈને જવા દીધાં નહિ. BSB BSB: When He entered the house, He did not allow anyone to go in with Him except Peter, John, James, and the child’s father and mother.
52 UDB છોકરી મરી ગઈ હતી તે કારણે તેઓ ખૂબ જ દુઃખી હતા તે દર્શાવવા બધા લોકો ત્યાં મોટેથી રડતા હતા. પણ ઈસુએ તેઓને કહ્યું કે, “રડવાનું બંધ કરો! તે મરી નથી ગઈ! તે માત્ર ઊંઘી ગઈ છે!” BSB BSB: Meanwhile, everyone was weeping and mourning for her. But Jesus said, “Stop weeping; she is not dead but asleep.”
53 UDB અને લોકોએ તેમને હસી કાઢ્યા કારણ કે તેઓને ખબર હતી કે છોકરી મરી ગઈ છે. BSB BSB: And they laughed at Him, knowing that she was dead.
54 UDB પણ ઈસુએ તેનો હાથ પકડ્યો અને તેને એમ કહેતાં બોલાવી કે, “દીકરી, ઊઠ!” BSB BSB: But Jesus took her by the hand and called out, “Child, get up!”
55 UDB અને તરત જ તેનો આત્મા તેના શરીરમાં પાછો આવ્યો અને તે ઊઠી. ઈસુએ તેને કંઈક ખાવા આપવા તેઓને જણાવ્યું. BSB BSB: Her spirit returned, and at once she got up. And He directed that she be given something to eat.
56 UDB અને તેનાં માતાપિતા આશ્ચર્ય પામ્યા, પણ ઈસુએ તેઓને તાકીદ કરી કે જે બન્યું હતું તે કોઈને પણ ના જણાવે. BSB BSB: Her parents were astounded, but Jesus ordered them not to tell anyone what had happened.
