1 ULB હંગામો બંધ થયા પછી પાઉલે શિષ્યોને બોલાવીને તેઓને બોધ કર્યો, અને તેમની વિદાય લઈને મકદોનિયા જવા સારુ નીકળ્યો. BSB BSB: When the uproar had ended, Paul sent for the disciples. And after encouraging them, he said goodbye to them and left for Macedonia.
2 ULB તે પ્રાંતોમાં ફરીને, લોકોને ઘણો ઉપદેશ આપ્યા પછી તે ગ્રીસ દેશમાં આવ્યો. BSB BSB: After traveling through that area and speaking many words of encouragement, he arrived in Greece,
3 ULB તે ત્યાં ત્રણ મહિના રહયો, પછી સિરિયા જવા સારુ જળમાર્ગે ઊપડવાની તૈયારીમાં હતો, ત્યારે યહૂદીઓએ તેની વિરુદ્ધ કાવતરું રચ્યું, માટે તેણે મકદોનિયામાં થઈને પાછા જવાનો નિર્ણય કર્યો. BSB BSB: where he stayed three months. And when the Jews formed a plot against him as he was about to sail for Syria, he decided to go back through Macedonia.
4 ULB પૂર્હસનો દીકરો બેરિયાનો સોપાતર; થેસ્સાલોનિકીઓમાંનાં આરિસ્તાર્ખસ; સેકુંદસ; દેર્બેનો ગાયસ, તિમોથી; આસિયાના તુખિકસ તથા ત્રોફિમસ; તેઓ તેની સાથે આસિયા સુધી ગયા. BSB BSB: Paul was accompanied by Sopater son of Pyrrhus from Berea, Aristarchus and Secundus from Thessalonica, Gaius from Derbe, Timothy, and Tychicus and Trophimus from the province of Asia.
5 ULB તેઓ આગળ જઈને ત્રોઆસમાં અમારી રાહ જોતા હતા. BSB BSB: These men went on ahead and waited for us in Troas.
6 ULB બેખમીર રોટલીના દિવસ પછી અમે વહાણમાં બેસીને ફિલિપ્પીથી નીકળ્યા, અને પાંચ દિવસમાં તેઓની પાસે ત્રોઆસ પહોંચ્યા, અને સાત દિવસ ત્યાં રહ્યા. BSB BSB: And after the Feast of Unleavened Bread, we sailed from Philippi, and five days later we rejoined them in Troas, where we stayed seven days.
8 ULB જે મેડી પર અમે એકઠા થયા હતા ત્યાં ઘણા દીવા પ્રકાશતા હતા. BSB BSB: Now there were many lamps in the upper room where we were gathered.
9 ULB બારીમાં બેઠેલો યુતુખસ નામે એક જુવાન ભરઊંઘમાં ઘેરાઈ ગયો હતો, પાઉલ વધારે વાર સુધી ઉપદેશ કરતો હતો માટે ઊંઘમાં ગરકાવ થયેલો હોવાથી તે યુતુખસ ત્રીજા માળેથી નીચે પડ્યો, અને મરણ પામ્યો. BSB BSB: And a certain young man named Eutychus, seated in the window, was sinking into a deep sleep as Paul talked on and on. When he was sound asleep, he fell from the third story and was picked up dead.
10 ULB ત્યારે પાઉલે નીચે ઊતરીને તેને બાથમાં લઈને કહ્યું કે, ‘ગભરાઓ નહિ, કેમ કે તે જીવતો છે.’” BSB BSB: But Paul went down, threw himself on the young man, and embraced him. “Do not be alarmed!” he said. “He is still alive!”
11 ULB અને તેણે ઉપર આવીને રોટલી ભાંગીને ખાધી અને પ્રભુ ભોજન લીધું અને તેઓની સાથે ઘણા સમય સુધી, એટલે છેક સવાર થતાં સુધી, સંદેશો આપ્યો, ત્યાર પછી પાઉલ વિદાય થયો. BSB BSB: Then Paul went back upstairs, broke bread, and ate. And after speaking until daybreak, he departed.
12 ULB તેઓ તે જુવાનને જીવતો લાવ્યા, તેથી ઘણો આનંદ પામ્યા. BSB BSB: And the people were greatly relieved to take the boy home alive.
13 ULB પણ અમે આગળ જઈને વહાણમાં બેસીને આસોસ જવાને ઊપડી ગયા, ત્યાંથી પાઉલને વહાણમાં લેવાનો અમારો ઇરાદો હતો, કેમ કે ત્યાંથી પગરસ્તે આવવા ધારીને તેણે એ વ્યવસ્થા કરી હતી. BSB BSB: We went on ahead to the ship and sailed to Assos, where we were to take Paul aboard. He had arranged this because he was going there on foot.
14 ULB આસોસમાં તે અમને મળ્યો, ત્યારે અમે તેને વહાણમાં લઈને મિતુલેનેમાં આવ્યા. BSB BSB: And when he met us at Assos, we took him aboard and went on to Mitylene.
15 ULB ત્યાંથી હંકારીને બીજે દિવસે ખીઓસ પાસે પહોંચ્યા, અને બીજે દિવસે સામોસ પહોંચ્યા, પછીના દિવસે, ત્રોગુલિયામાં થોડુંક થોભ્યા પછી અમે મિલેતસમાં આવ્યા. BSB BSB: Sailing on from there, we arrived the next day opposite Chios. The day after that we arrived at Samos, and on the following day we came to Miletus.
16 ULB કેમ કે આસિયામાં વખત પસાર કરવો ન પડે તે માટે પાઉલે એફેસસને બાજુ પર મૂકીને હંકારી જવાનું નક્કી કર્યું હતું, કેમ કે તે એ માટે ઉતાવળ કરતો હતો કે જો બની શકે તો પચાસમાના પર્વને દિવસે પોતે યરુશાલેમમાં હાજર થાય. BSB BSB: Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus to avoid spending time in the province of Asia, because he was in a hurry to reach Jerusalem, if possible, by the day of Pentecost.
17 ULB પછી તેણે મિલેતસથી એફેસસમાં સંદેશો મોકલીને મંડળીના વડીલોને પોતાની પાસે બોલાવ્યા. BSB BSB: From Miletus, Paul sent to Ephesus for the elders of the church.
18 ULB તેઓ તેની પાસે આવ્યા ત્યારે તેણે તેઓને કહ્યું કે, આસિયામાં મેં પગ મૂક્યો તે દિવસથી માંડીને એ બધો વખત હું તમારી સાથે રહીને કેવી રીતે વર્ત્યો છું. BSB BSB: When they came to him, he said, “You know how I lived the whole time I was with you, from the first day I arrived in the province of Asia.
19 ULB મનની પૂરી નમ્રતાથી, તથા આંસુઓ સહિત, જે સંતાપ યહૂદીઓના કાવતરાથી મારા પર આવી પડયા તે સહન કરીને હું પ્રભુની સેવા કરતો હતો; એ તમારી જાણ બહાર નથી. BSB BSB: I served the Lord with great humility and with tears, especially in the trials that came upon me through the plots of the Jews.
20 ULB જે કોઈ વચન લાભકારક હોય તે તમને જણાવવામાં હું અચકાયો નથી, પણ જાહેરમાં તથા ઘરેઘરે તમને ઉપદેશ કર્યો; BSB BSB: I did not shrink back from declaring anything that was helpful to you as I taught you publicly and from house to house,
21 ULB ઈશ્વર સમક્ષ પસ્તાવો કરવો, તથા આપણા પ્રભુ ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્ત પર વિશ્વાસ રાખવો, એવી સાક્ષી મેં યહૂદીઓને તથા ગ્રીકોને આપી. BSB BSB: testifying to Jews and Greeks alike about repentance to God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
22 ULB હવે જુઓ, હું પવિત્ર આત્માના બંધનમાં યરુશાલેમ જાઉં છું, ત્યાં મારા પર શું શું વીતશે એ હું જાણતો નથી; BSB BSB: And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there.
23 ULB માત્ર એટલું જ હું જાણું છું કે, દરેક શહેરમાં પવિત્ર આત્મા મને ખાસ જણાવે છે કે તારે માટે બંધનો તથા સંકટો રાહ જુએ છે. BSB BSB: I only know that in town after town the Holy Spirit warns me that chains and afflictions await me.
24 ULB પણ હું મારો જીવ વહાલો ગણીને તેની કંઈ પણ દરકાર કરતો નથી એ માટે કે મારી દોડ અને ઈશ્વરની કૃપાની સુવાર્તાની સાક્ષી આપવાની જે સેવા પ્રભુ ઈસુ તરફથી મને મળી છે તે હું પૂરી કરું. BSB BSB: But I consider my life of no value to me, if only I may finish my course and complete the ministry I have received from the Lord Jesus—the ministry of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.
25 ULB હવે જુઓ, હું જાણું છું કે, તમે સર્વ જેઓમાં હું ઈશ્વરનું રાજ્ય પ્રગટ કરતો ફર્યો છું, તેઓ માંનો કોઈ પણ મારું મુખ ફરી જોશે નહિ. BSB BSB: Now I know that none of you among whom I have preached the kingdom will see my face again.
26 ULB તે સારુ આજે હું તમને સાક્ષી આપું છું કે સર્વ માણસના લોહી વિષે હું નિર્દોષ છું. BSB BSB: Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all men.
27 ULB કેમ કે ઈશ્વરની પૂરી ઇચ્છા તમને જણાવવાંને મેં ઢીલ કરી નથી. BSB BSB: For I did not shrink back from declaring to you the whole will of God.
28 ULB તમે પોતા સંબંધી તથા જે ટોળાં ઉપર પવિત્ર આત્માએ તમને અધ્યક્ષો ઠરાવ્યા છે તે સર્વ સંબંધી સાવધ રહો, એટલે કે ઈશ્વરનો જે વિશ્વાસી સમુદાય જે તેમણે પોતાના લોહીથી ખરીદ્યો છે, તેનું તમે પાલન કરો. BSB BSB: Keep watch over yourselves and the entire flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which He purchased with His own blood.
29 ULB હું જાણું છું કે, મારા ગયા પછી ટોળાં પર દયા નહિ કરે એવા ક્રૂર વરુઓ તમારામાં દાખલ થશે; BSB BSB: I know that after my departure, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock.
30 ULB તમારા પોતાનામાંથી પણ કેટલાક માણસો ઊભા થશે. અને શિષ્યોને પોતાની પાછળ ખેંચી લઈ જવા માટે વિપરીત વાતો કહેશે. BSB BSB: Even from your own number, men will rise up and distort the truth to draw away disciples after them.
31 ULB માટે જાગતા રહો, અને યાદ રાખો કે ત્રણ વર્ષ સુધી રાત દિવસ આંસુઓ પાડીને દરેકને ઉપદેશ આપવાનું હું ચૂક્યો નથી. BSB BSB: Therefore be alert and remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.
32 ULB હવે હું તમને ઈશ્વરને તથા ઈશ્વરની કૃપાની વાત જે તમને સંસ્થાપન કરવાને તથા સર્વ પવિત્ર થયેલાઓમાં તમને વારસો આપવાને સમર્થ છે, તેને સોંપું છું. BSB BSB: And now I commit you to God and to the word of His grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all who are sanctified.
33 ULB મેં કોઈના રૂપાનો સોનાનો કે વસ્ત્રનો લોભ કર્યો નથી. BSB BSB: I have not coveted anyone’s silver or gold or clothing.
34 ULB તમે પોતે જાણો છો કે મને તથા મારા સાથીઓને જે જોઈતું હતું તે મેં આ હાથોએ પૂરું પાડ્યું છે. BSB BSB: You yourselves know that these hands of mine have ministered to my own needs and those of my companions.
35 ULB મેં બધી બાબતો તમને કરી બતાવી છે કે, કેવી રીતે ઉદ્યોગ કરીને તમારે નબળાઓને સહાય કરવી જોઈએ, અને પ્રભુ ઈસુનું વચન જે તેમણે પોતે કહ્યું, તેને યાદ રાખવું કે, “પામવા કરતાં આપવામાં વધારે ધન્યતા છે.” BSB BSB: In everything, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words of the Lord Jesus Himself: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
36 ULB એ પ્રમાણે વાત કર્યા પછી તેણે ઘૂંટણે પડીને તે સર્વની સાથે પ્રાર્થના કરી. BSB BSB: When Paul had said this, he knelt down with all of them and prayed.
37 ULB તેઓ સર્વ બહુ રડ્યા, અને પાઉલને ભેટીને તેઓએ તેને ચુંબન કર્યું. BSB BSB: They all wept openly as they embraced Paul and kissed him.
38 ULB તમે મારું મુખ ફરી જોશો નહિ એ જે વાત તેણે કહી હતી તેથી તેઓ વધારે ઉદાસ થયા. તેથી તેઓ પાઉલને વિદાય આપવાને વહાણ સુધી ગયા. BSB BSB: They were especially grieved by his statement that they would never see his face again. Then they accompanied him to the ship.
