1 ULB એ માટે તમે પ્રભુનાં પ્રિય બાળકો તરીકે ઈશ્વરનું અનુસરણ કરનારા થાઓ; BSB BSB: Be imitators of God, therefore, as beloved children,
2 ULB અને પ્રેમમાં ચાલો. જેમ ખ્રિસ્ત ઈસુએ તમારા પર પ્રેમ રાખ્યો અને ઈશ્વરની સમક્ષ સુવાસને અર્થે, આપણે સારુ સ્વાર્પણ કરીને પોતાનું બલિદાન આપ્યું, તેમ. BSB BSB: and walk in love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant sacrificial offering to God.
3 ULB વ્યભિચાર તથા સર્વ પ્રકારની અશુદ્ધતા અથવા દ્રવ્યલોભનાં નામ પણ સરખાં તમારે કદી ન લેવાં, કેમ કે સંતોને એ જ શોભે છે; BSB BSB: But among you, as is proper among the saints, there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed.
4 ULB જે અશોભનીય છે એવી નિર્લજ્જ તથા મૂર્ખતાભરેલી વાત અથવા હસીમજાક તમારામાં ન થાય પણ તેના બદલે આભારસ્તુતિ કરવી. BSB BSB: Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk, or crude joking, which are out of character, but rather thanksgiving.
5 ULB કેમ કે તમે સારી રીતે જાણો છો કે, વ્યભિચારી, અશુદ્ધ, દ્રવ્યલોભી, એટલે મૂર્તિપૂજકોને ખ્રિસ્તનાં તથા ઈશ્વરના રાજ્યમાં વારસો નથી. BSB BSB: For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure, or greedy person (that is, an idolater) has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
6 ULB તમને વ્યર્થ વાતોથી કોઈ ભુલાવે નહિ; કેમ કે એવાં કામોને લીધે ઈશ્વરનો કોપ આજ્ઞાભંગ કરનારા પર આવે છે. BSB BSB: Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience.
7 ULB એ માટે તમે તેઓના સહભાગી ન થાઓ. BSB BSB: Therefore do not be partakers with them.
8 ULB કેમ કે તમે પહેલાં અંધકારમાં હતા પણ હવે પ્રભુમાં પ્રકાશરૂપ છો; પ્રકાશનાં સંતોને ઘટે એ રીતે ચાલો. BSB BSB: For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light,
9 ULB કેમ કે પ્રકાશનું ફળ સર્વ પ્રકારના સદાચારમાં તથા ન્યાયીપણામાં તથા સત્યમાં છે. BSB BSB: for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth.
10 ULB પ્રભુને શું પસંદ પડે છે, તે પારખી લો. BSB BSB: Test and prove what pleases the Lord.
11 ULB અંધકારનાં નિષ્ફળ કામોના સોબતીઓ ન થાઓ; પણ તેઓને વખોડો. BSB BSB: Have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.
12 ULB કેમ કે તેઓ ગુપ્તમાં એવા કામ કરે છે કે, જે કહેતાં પણ શરમ લાગે છે. BSB BSB: For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret.
13 ULB જે સર્વ વખોડાયેલું, તે પ્રકાશથી પ્રગટ થાય છે; કેમ કે જે પ્રગટ કરાયેલું છે, તે પ્રકાશરૂપ છે. BSB BSB: But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for everything that is illuminated becomes a light itself.
14 ULB માટે કહેલું છે કે, ઊંઘનાર, જાગ, ને મૂએલાંમાંથી ઊઠ, અને ખ્રિસ્ત તારા પર પ્રકાશ પાડશે. BSB BSB: So it is said: “Wake up, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”
15 ULB તો સાંભળો કે તમે નિર્બુદ્ધોની જેમ નહિ, પણ ચોકસાઈથી બુદ્ધિવંતોની રીતે ચાલો; BSB BSB: Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk, not as unwise but as wise,
16 ULB સમયનો સદુપયોગ કરો, કેમ કે દિવસો ખરાબ છે. BSB BSB: redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 ULB તેથી તમે અણસમજુ ન થાઓ, પણ ઈશ્વરની ઇચ્છા શી છે તે સમજો. BSB BSB: Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.
18 ULB દ્રાક્ષારસ પીને મસ્ત ન થાઓ, એ દુર્વ્યસન છે, પણ પવિત્ર આત્માથી ભરપૂર થાઓ; BSB BSB: Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to reckless indiscretion. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.
19 ULB ગીતોથી, સ્ત્રોત્રોથી તથા આત્મિક ગાનોથી એકબીજાની સાથે પ્રભુની વાતો કરીને તમારાં હૃદયમાં પ્રભુનાં ભજનો તથા ગીતો ગાઓ; BSB BSB: Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your hearts to the Lord,
20 ULB આપણા પ્રભુ ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્તને નામે, ઈશ્વર પિતાની આભારસ્તુતિ સર્વને સારુ નિત્ય કરજો. BSB BSB: always giving thanks to God the Father for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
21 ULB ખ્રિસ્તનું ભય રાખીને એકબીજાને આધીન રહો. BSB BSB: Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.
22 ULB પત્નીઓ, જેમ પ્રભુને તેમ પોતાના પતિઓને આધીન થાઓ; BSB BSB: Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord.
23 ULB કેમ કે પતિ પત્નીનું શિર છે. જેમ ખ્રિસ્ત મંડળીનું શિર છે તે શરીરનાં ઉદ્ધારક છે. BSB BSB: For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, His body, of which He is the Savior.
24 ULB જેમ વિશ્વાસી સમુદાય ખ્રિસ્તને આધીન છે, તેમ પત્નીઓએ સર્વ બાબતમાં પોતાના પતિઓને આધીન રહેવું. BSB BSB: Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
26 ULB એ સારુ કે વચન વડે જળસ્નાનથી શુદ્ધ કરીને, ખ્રિસ્ત વિશ્વાસી સમુદાયને પવિત્ર કરે, BSB BSB: to sanctify her, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word,
27 ULB અને જેને ડાઘ, કરચલી કે એવું કંઈ ન હોય; પણ તે પવિત્ર તથા નિર્દોષ હોય, એવા વિશ્વાસી સમુદાય તરીકે પોતાની આગળ ગૌરવી સ્વરૂપે રજૂ કરે. BSB BSB: and to present her to Himself as a glorious church, without stain or wrinkle or any such blemish, but holy and blameless.
28 ULB એ જ પ્રમાણે પતિઓએ જેમ પોતાનાં શરીરો પર તેમ પોતાની પત્નીઓ પર પ્રેમ કરવો; જે પોતાની પત્ની પર પ્રેમ કરે છે, તે પોતા પર પ્રેમ કરે છે; BSB BSB: In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
29 ULB કેમ કે કોઈ માણસ પોતાના શરીરનો કદી દ્વેષ કરતો નથી; પણ તે તેનું પાલનપોષણ કરે છે. જેમ ખ્રિસ્ત પણ વિશ્વાસી સમુદાયનું પોષણ કરે છે તેમ, BSB BSB: Indeed, no one ever hated his own body, but he nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church.
30 ULB કેમ કે આપણે તેમના ખ્રિસ્તનાં શરીરનાં અંગો છીએ. BSB BSB: For we are members of His body.
31 ULB એ માટે પુરુષ પોતાનાં માતાપિતાને મૂકીને પોતાની પત્નીની સાથે જોડાઈને રહેશે, અને તેઓ બન્ને એક દેહ થશે. BSB BSB: “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”
32 ULB આ ગહન રહસ્ય છે; પણ હું ખ્રિસ્ત તથા વિશ્વાસી સમુદાય સંબંધી એ કહું છું. BSB BSB: This mystery is profound, but I am speaking about Christ and the church.
33 ULB તોપણ તમારામાંના દરેક જેમ પોતાના પર તેમ પોતાની પત્ની પર પ્રેમ કરે; અને પત્ની પોતાના પતિનું માન જાળવે. BSB BSB: Nevertheless, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
