Joshua 15 (ULB)

1યહૂદાપુત્રોના કુળને, તેઓનાં કુટુંબો પ્રમાણે, જે વારસો સોંપવામાં આવેલો હતો તે દક્ષિણે અદોમની સરહદ સુધી વિસ્તરેલો હતો. એટલે દક્ષિણ તરફ સીનના અરણ્ય સાથે, જે સરહદનો છેવાડો ભાગ હતો ત્યાં સુધી.Now the allotment for the clans of the tribe of Judah extended to the border of Edom, to the Wilderness of Zin at the extreme southern boundary:

2તેની સીમા દક્ષિણના ખારા સમુદ્રના છેડાથી, એટલે દક્ષિણના અખાતથી શરુ થતી હતી.Their southern border started at the bay on the southern tip of the Salt Sea,

3ત્યાંથી સરહદ આક્રાબ્બીમના ઘાટની દક્ષિણે થઈને આગળ સીન સુધી ગઈ. અને કાદેશ બાર્નેઆની દક્ષિણે થઈને ઉપર ગઈ. ત્યાંથી હેસ્રોન થઈને આદ્દારથી ચકરાવો ખાઈને કાર્કા સુધી ગઈ.proceeded south of the Ascent of Akrabbim, continued on to Zin, went over to the south of Kadesh-barnea, ran past Hezron up to Addar, and curved toward Karka.

4ત્યાંથી આસ્મોન સુધી ગઈ. ત્યાંથી મિસરના ઝરણાંથી પસાર થઈને તેનો છેડો સમુદ્ર આગળ આવ્યો. આ તેમની દક્ષિણ તરફની સરહદ હતી.It proceeded to Azmon, joined the Brook of Egypt, and ended at the Sea. This was their southern border.

5યર્દનના છેડા તરફ, ખારો સમુદ્ર પૂર્વ તરફની સરહદ હતી. યર્દનના છેડા તરફ સમુદ્રની ખાડીથી ઉત્તર તરફની સરહદથી શરુ થતી હતી.The eastern border was the Salt Sea as far as the mouth of the Jordan. The northern border started from the bay of the sea at the mouth of the Jordan,

6તે સરહદ બેથ-હોગ્લા અને બેથ-અરાબાની ઉત્તર તરફ પસાર થઈને આગળ ગઈ. પછી તે સરહદ બોહાનની શિલા, રુબેનના દીકરા સુધી ગઈ.went up to Beth-hoglah, proceeded north of Beth-arabah, and went up to the Stone of Bohan son of Reuben.

7પછી તે સરહદ આખોરની ખીણથી દબીર સુધી ગઈ, તે જ પ્રમાણે ઉત્તર તરફ ગિલ્ગાલના વળાંક સુધી, કે જે નદીની દક્ષિણ બાજુ પર, અદુમ્મીમના ઘાટની સામે છે ત્યાં સુધી ગઈ. પછી તે સરહદ એન-શેમેશનાં ઝરણાંથી પસાર થઈ અને એન-રોગેલ આગળ પૂરી થઈ.Then the border went up to Debir from the Valley of Achor, turning north to Gilgal, which faces the Ascent of Adummim south of the ravine. It continued along the waters of En-shemesh and came out at En-rogel.

8પછી તે સરહદ હિન્નોમના પુત્રની ખીણ પાસે થઈને યબૂસીઓના નગરની દક્ષિણ તરફ એટલે યરુશાલેમ સુધી ગઈ. પછી તે હિન્નોમની ખીણની સામે પશ્ચિમે આવેલા પર્વતના શિખર પર, જે રફાઈમની ખીણના ઉત્તરના છેડા સુધી તે સરહદ ગઈ.From there the border went up the Valley of Ben-hinnom along the southern slope of the Jebusites (that is, Jerusalem) and ascended to the top of the hill that faces the Valley of Hinnom on the west, at the northern end of the Valley of Rephaim.

9પછી તે સરહદ પર્વતના શિખરથી તે નેફતોઆના ઝરણાં સુધી ગઈ, ત્યાંથી એફ્રોન પર્વતનાં નગરો સુધી ગઈ. પછી તે સરહદ બાલાહ એટલે કિર્યાથ-યારીમ સુધી અંકાયેલી હતી.From the hilltop the border curved to the spring of the Waters of Nephtoah, proceeded to the cities of Mount Ephron, and then bent around toward Baalah (that is, Kiriath-jearim).

10પછી તે સરહદ ત્યાંથી વળીને પશ્ચિમ તરફ બાલાહથી સેઈર પર્વત સુધી ગઈ, પછી આગળ વધીને ઉત્તર તરફ યારીમ પર્વતની એટલે કસાલોન ની બાજુથી પસાર થઈ અને બેથ-શેમેશ સુધી નીચે થઈને તિમ્નાથી પસાર થઈને આગળ વધી.The border curled westward from Baalah to Mount Seir, ran along the northern slope of Mount Jearim (that is, Chesalon), went down to Beth-shemesh, and crossed to Timnah.

11તે સરહદ ઉત્તર તરફ એક્રોનની બાજુએ ગઈ, પછી શિક્કરોનથી વળીને, બાલાહ પર્વતથી પસાર થઈને યાબ્નએલ સુધી ગઈ. તે સરહદનો અંત સમુદ્ર પાસે આવ્યો.Then it went out to the northern slope of Ekron, curved toward Shikkeron, proceeded to Mount Baalah, went on to Jabneel, and ended at the Sea.

12પશ્ચિમી સરહદ મોટા સમુદ્ર તથા તેના કિનારા સુધી હતી. આ યહૂદાના કુળની તેમનાં કુટુંબો પ્રમાણે ચારેબાજુની સરહદ હતી.And the western border was the coastline of the Great Sea. These are the boundaries around the clans of the descendants of Judah.

13યહોશુઆએ યહોવાહની આજ્ઞાનું પાલન કર્યું, તેણે યફૂન્નેના દીકરા કાલેબને યહૂદા કુળની વચ્ચે જમીન સોંપી, કિર્યાથ-આર્બા, જે હેબ્રોન છે તે આપ્યું, આર્બા અનાકનો પિતા હતો.According to the LORD’s command to him, Joshua gave Caleb son of Jephunneh a portion among the sons of Judah—Kiriath-arba, that is, Hebron. (Arba was the forefather of Anak.)

14અને કાલેબે અનાકના વંશનાં ત્રણ કુળોને એટલે શેશાય, અહીમાન તથા તાલ્માય જે અનાકના પુત્રો હતા તેઓને ત્યાંથી કાઢી મૂક્યા.And Caleb drove out from there the three sons of Anak—the descendants of Sheshai, Ahiman, and Talmai, the children of Anak.

15તેણે ત્યાંથી દબીરના રહેવાસીઓ પર ચઢાઈ કરી. દબીરનું નામ તો પૂર્વે કિર્યાથ-સેફેર હતું.From there he marched against the inhabitants of Debir (formerly known as Kiriath-sepher).

16કાલેબે કહ્યું, "જે કોઈ માણસ કિર્યાથ-સેફેર પર હુમલો કરશે અને તેને કબજે કરશે, તેને હું મારી દીકરી આખ્સાહ સાથે પરણાવીશ."And Caleb said, “To the man who strikes down Kiriath-sepher and captures it, I will give my daughter Acsah in marriage.”

17કાલેબના ભાઈ કનાઝના દીકરા ઓથ્નીએલે કિર્યાથ-સેફેર જીતી લીધું. તેથી કાલેબે તેની દીકરી આખ્સાહનાં લગ્ન તેની સાથે કરાવ્યાં.So Othniel son of Caleb’s brother Kenaz captured the city, and Caleb gave his daughter Acsah to him in marriage.

18જયારે આખ્સાહ ઓથ્નીએલ પાસે આવી, ત્યારે એમ થયું કે, તેણે તેને તેના પિતા પાસેથી ખેતર માગવાની વિનંતી કરી. અને આખ્સા તેના ગધેડા પરથી ઊતરી. અને કાલેબે તેને કહ્યું કે, "તારે શું જોઈએ છે?"One day Acsah came to Othniel and urged him to ask her father for a field. When she got off her donkey, Caleb asked her, “What do you desire?”

19આખ્સાહએ ઉત્તર આપ્યો, "મારા પર વિશેષ કરીને કૃપા કર. તેં મને નેગેબની જમીન તો આપી જ છે, પાણીના થોડા ઝરા પણ મને આપ." અને કાલેબે તેને ઉપરના ભાગના અને નીચાણના ભાગના ઝરા આપ્યાં.“Give me a blessing,” she answered. “Since you have given me land in the Negev, give me springs of water as well.” So Caleb gave her both the upper and lower springs.

20આ યહૂદાપુત્રોના કુળનું વતન તેઓનાં કુટુંબો પ્રમાણે આ છે.This is the inheritance of the clans of the tribe of Judah.

21અને નેગેબમાં અદોમની સરહદની તરફ યહૂદાપુત્રોના કુળનાં છેવાડાં નગરો કાબ્સએલ, એદેર તથા યાગૂર,These were the southernmost cities of the tribe of Judah in the Negev toward the border of Edom: Kabzeel, Eder, Jagur,

22કિના, દીમોના, આદાદા,Kinah, Dimonah, Adadah,

23કેદેશ, હાસોર, ઈથનાન,Kedesh, Hazor, Ithnan,

24ઝીફ, ટેલેમ, બેઆલોથ;Ziph, Telem, Bealoth,

25હાસોર-હદાત્તા, કરીયોથ હેસ્રોન એટલે હાસોર,Hazor-hadattah, Kerioth-hezron (that is, Hazor),

26અમામ, શેમા, મોલાદા,Amam, Shema, Moladah,

27હસાર-ગાદ્દાહ, હેશ્મોન, બેથ-પેલેટ,Hazar-gaddah, Heshmon, Beth-pelet,

28હસાર-શૂઆલ, બેરશેબા, બિઝયોથ્યા.Hazar-shual, Beersheba, Biziothiah,

29બાલાહ, લીમતથા એસેમ,Baalah, Iim, Ezem,

30એલ્તોલાદ, કસીલ તથા હોર્મા,Eltolad, Chesil, Hormah,

31સિકલાગ, માદમાન્ના તથા સાન્સાન્ના,Ziklag, Madmannah, Sansannah,

32લબાઓથ, શિલ્હીમ, આઈન અને રિમ્મોન. તેઓના તાબાના ગામો સહિત કુલ ઓગણત્રીસ નગરો હતાં.Lebaoth, Shilhim, Ain, and Rimmon—twenty-nine cities in all, along with their villages.

33પશ્ચિમ તરફના નીચાણના પર્વતીય પ્રદેશમાં, એશ્તાઓલ, સોરાહ તથા આશના;These were in the foothills: Eshtaol, Zorah, Ashnah,

34ઝાનોઆ, એન-ગાન્નીમ, તાપ્પૂઆ તથા એનામ,Zanoah, En-gannim, Tappuah, Enam,

35યાર્મૂથ, અદુલ્લામ, સોખો તથા અઝેકા,Jarmuth, Adullam, Socoh, Azekah,

36શારાઈમ, અદીથાઈમ, ગદેરા ગદરોથાઈમ; તેઓનાં તાબાના ગામો સહિત આ કુલ ચૌદ નગરો હતાં.Shaaraim, Adithaim, and Gederah (or Gederothaim)—fourteen cities, along with their villages.

37સનાન, હદાશા તથા મિગ્દાલ-ગાદ,Zenan, Hadashah, Migdal-gad,

38દિલાન, મિસ્પા તથા યોક્તએલ,Dilan, Mizpeh, Joktheel,

39લાખીશ, બોસ્કાથ તથા એગ્લોન.Lachish, Bozkath, Eglon,

40કાબ્બોન, લાહમામ તથા કિથ્લીશ.Cabbon, Lahmas, Chitlish,

41ગદેરોથ, બેથ-દાગોન, નાઅમાહ તથા માક્કેદા. તેઓનાં તાબાના ગામો સહિત આ કુલ સોળ નગરો હતાં.Gederoth, Beth-dagon, Naamah, and Makkedah—sixteen cities, along with their villages.

42લિબ્નાહ, એથેર તથા આશાન,Libnah, Ether, Ashan,

43યિફતા, આશના તથા નસીબ,Iphtah, Ashnah, Nezib,

44કઈલા, આખ્ઝીબ તથા મારેશા, તેઓનાં તાબાના ગામો સહિત આ કુલ નવ નગરો હતા.Keilah, Achzib, and Mareshah—nine cities, along with their villages.

45એક્રોન, તેનાં નગરો અને ગામો સહિત;Ekron, with its towns and villages;

46એટલે એક્રોનથી તે મહાસમુદ્ર સુધી આશ્દોદની નજીક જે સર્વ નગરો હતા તે તેઓનાં ગામો સહિત.from Ekron to the sea, all the cities near Ashdod, along with their villages;

47આશ્દોદની, આસપાસના નગરો તથા ગામો; ગાઝા, આસપાસનાં નગરો તથા ગામો; મિસરનું નાળું તથા મહાસમુદ્ર તેનો દરિયાકિનારો ત્યાં સુધીનાં.Ashdod, with its towns and villages; Gaza, with its towns and villages, as far as the Brook of Egypt and the coastline of the Great Sea.

48પહાડી પ્રદેશમાં શામીર, યાત્તીર તથા સોખો,These were in the hill country: Shamir, Jattir, Socoh,

49દાન્ના તથા કિર્યાથ-સાન્ના, એટલે દબીર,Dannah, Kiriath-sannah (that is, Debir),

50અનાબ, એશ્તમોઆ તથા આનીમ,Anab, Eshtemoh, Anim,

51ગોશેન, હોલોન તથા ગીલોહ. તેઓના તાબાના ગામો સહિત કુલ આ અગિયાર નગરો હતા.Goshen, Holon, and Giloh—eleven cities, along with their villages.

52અરાબ, દૂમા તથા એશાન,Arab, Dumah, Eshan,

53યાનીમ, બેથ-તાપ્પૂઆ તથા અફેકા,Janim, Beth-tappuah, Aphekah,

54હુમ્ટા, કિર્યાથ-આર્બા એટલે હેબ્રોન તથા સીઓર. તેઓના તાબાના ગામો સહિત કુલ આ નવ નગરો હતાં.Humtah, Kiriath-arba (that is, Hebron), and Zior—nine cities, along with their villages.

55માઓન, કાર્મેલ, ઝીફ, યૂટા,Maon, Carmel, Ziph, Juttah,

56યિઝ્રએલ, યોકદામ, ઝાનોઆ,Jezreel, Jokdeam, Zanoah,

57કાઈન, ગિબયા તથા તિમ્ના તેઓના ગામો સહિત આ દસ નગરો.Kain, Gibeah, and Timnah—ten cities, along with their villages.

58હાલ્હૂલ, બેથ-સૂર, ગદોર,Halhul, Beth-zur, Gedor,

59મારાથ, બેથ-અનોથ તથા એલ્તકોન તેઓનાં ગામો સહિત આ છ નગરો.Maarath, Beth-anoth, and Eltekon—six cities, along with their villages.

60કિર્યાથ-બાલ એટલે કિર્યાથ-યારીમ તથા રાબ્બા, તેઓનાં ગામો સહિત આ બે નગરો.Kiriath-baal (that is, Kiriath-jearim), and Rabbah—two cities, along with their villages.

61અરણ્યમાં બેથ-અરાબા, મિદ્દીન તથા સખાખા,These were in the wilderness: Beth-arabah, Middin, Secacah,

62નિબ્શાન, ખારાનું નગર તથા એન-ગેદી; તેઓનાં ગામો સહિત આ છ નગરો.Nibshan, the City of Salt, and En-gedi—six cities, along with their villages.

63પણ યરુશાલેમના રહેવાસી યબૂસીઓને યહૂદા કુળના લોકો કાઢી શક્યા નહિ; તેથી યબૂસીઓ આજ સુધી યહૂદા કુળની સાથે યરુશાલેમમાં રહે છે.But the descendants of Judah could not drive out the Jebusites living in Jerusalem. So to this day the Jebusites live there among the descendants of Judah.
