1 ULB ઈસુએ એ વાતો પૂરી કર્યા પછી એમ થયું કે, તે ગાલીલથી નીકળીને યર્દન નદીને પેલે પાર યહૂદિયાના પ્રદેશમાં આવ્યા. BSB BSB: When Jesus had finished saying these things, He left Galilee and went into the region of Judea beyond the Jordan.
2 ULB અતિ ઘણાં લોક તેમની પાછળ ગયા અને ત્યાં તેમણે તેઓને સાજાં કર્યા. BSB BSB: Large crowds followed Him, and He healed them there.
3 ULB ફરોશીઓએ તેમની પાસે આવીને તેમનું પરીક્ષણ કરતાં પૂછ્યું કે, “કોઈ પણ કારણને લીધે શું પુરુષે પત્નીને છોડી દેવી ઉચિત છે?” BSB BSB: Then some Pharisees came and tested Him by asking, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason?”
5 ULB અને કહ્યું કે ‘તે કારણને લીધે પુરુષ પોતાનાં માતાપિતાને મૂકીને પોતાની પત્નીને વળગી રહેશે, અને તે બન્ને એક દેહ થશે?’ BSB BSB: and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’?
6 ULB માટે તેઓ હવેથી બે નથી, પણ એક દેહ છે. એ માટે ઈશ્વરે જેમને જોડ્યાં છે તેમને માણસોએ જુદા ન પાડવાં.” BSB BSB: So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”
7 ULB તેઓએ ઈસુને કહ્યું કે, “તો મૂસાએ એવી આજ્ઞા કેમ આપી કે, ફારગતીનું પ્રમાણપત્ર આપીને તેને મૂકી દેવી?” BSB BSB: “Why then,” they asked, “did Moses order a man to give his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away?”
9 ULB હું તમને કહું છું કે વ્યભિચારના કારણ વગર જે કોઈ પોતાની પત્નીને ત્યજીને બીજી સ્ત્રી સાથે લગ્ન કરે, તો તે વ્યભિચાર કરે છે; અને જો કોઈ ત્યજી દીધેલી સ્ત્રી સાથે લગ્ન કરે તો તે પણ વ્યભિચાર કરે છે.” BSB BSB: Now I tell you that whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.”
11 ULB ત્યારે ઈસુએ તેઓને કહ્યું કે, “બધાથી એ વાત પળાતી નથી, પણ જેઓને તે આપેલું છે તેઓથી જ. BSB BSB: “Not everyone can accept this word,” He replied, “but only those to whom it has been given.
13 ULB ત્યાર પછી તેઓ બાળકોને તેમની પાસે લાવ્યા, એ માટે કે તે તેઓ પર હાથ મૂકીને પ્રાર્થના કરે; પણ શિષ્યોએ તેઓને ધમકાવ્યાં. BSB BSB: Then little children were brought to Jesus for Him to place His hands on them and pray for them. And the disciples rebuked those who brought them.
14 ULB પણ ઈસુએ કહ્યું કે, “બાળકોને મારી પાસે આવવા દો, તેઓને રોકો નહિ, કેમ કે સ્વર્ગનું રાજ્ય એવાઓનું છે.” BSB BSB: But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them! For the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
15 ULB તેઓ પર હાથ મૂક્યા પછી તે ત્યાંથી ગયા. BSB BSB: And after He had placed His hands on them, He went on from there.
16 ULB ત્યાર પછી, કોઈકે ઈસુની પાસે આવીને કહ્યું કે, “ઉપદેશક, અનંતજીવન પામવા માટે હું શું સારું કરું?” BSB BSB: Just then a man came up to Jesus and inquired, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to obtain eternal life?”
17 ULB ત્યારે તેમણે તે વ્યક્તિને કહ્યું, “તું મને સારાં વિષે કેમ પૂછે છે? સારો તો એક જ છે, પણ જો તું જીવનનાં માર્ગમાં પ્રવેશવા ચાહે છે, તો આજ્ઞાઓ પાળ.” BSB BSB: “Why do you ask Me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.”
18 ULB તે વ્યક્તિએ ઈસુને કહ્યું કે, ‘કઈ આજ્ઞાઓ?’ ત્યારે ઈસુએ કહ્યું કે, “તું હત્યા ન કર, તું વ્યભિચાર ન કર, તું ચોરી ન કર, તું જૂઠી સાક્ષી ન પૂર, BSB BSB: “Which ones?” the man asked. Jesus answered, “‘Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not bear false witness,
19 ULB પોતાનાં માતાપિતાને માન આપ, પોતાના પડોશી પર પોતાના જેવો પ્રેમ કર.” BSB BSB: honor your father and mother, and love your neighbor as yourself.’”
20 ULB તે જુવાને તેમને કહ્યું કે, “એ બધી આજ્ઞાઓ તો હું પાળતો આવ્યો છું; હજી મારામાં શું ખૂટે છે?” BSB BSB: “All these I have kept,” said the young man. “What do I still lack?”
21 ULB ઈસુએ તે જુવાનને કહ્યું કે, “જો તું સંપૂર્ણ થવા ચાહે છે, તો જઈને તારું જે છે તે વેચી નાખ અને ગરીબોને આપી દે, એટલે સ્વર્ગમાં તને દ્રવ્ય મળશે; અને આવીને મારી પાછળ ચાલ.” BSB BSB: Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me.”
22 ULB પણ તે જુવાન એ વાત સાંભળીને દિલગીર થઈને ચાલ્યો ગયો, કેમ કે તેની મિલકત ઘણી હતી. BSB BSB: When the young man heard this, he went away in sorrow, because he had great wealth.
23 ULB ત્યારે ઈસુએ પોતાના શિષ્યોને કહ્યું કે, “હું તમને નિશ્ચે કહું છું કે ધનવાનને સ્વર્ગના રાજ્યમાં પ્રવેશવું મુશ્કેલ છે. BSB BSB: Then Jesus said to His disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.
24 ULB વળી હું તમને ફરી કહું છું કે ‘ધનવાનને ઈશ્વરના રાજ્યમાં પ્રવેશવા કરતાં ઊંટને સોયના નાકામાંથી પસાર થવું સહેલું છે.” BSB BSB: Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”
25 ULB ત્યારે તેમના શિષ્યોએ તે સાંભળીને ઘણાં અચરત થયા અને કહેવા લાગ્યા કે, “તો કોણ ઉદ્ધાર પામી શકે?” BSB BSB: When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?”
26 ULB પણ ઈસુએ તેઓની તરફ જોઈને કહ્યું કે, “માણસોને તો એ અશક્ય છે, પણ ઈશ્વરને સર્વ શક્ય છે.” BSB BSB: Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
27 ULB ત્યારે પિતરે ઈસુને જવાબ આપ્યો કે, “અમે બધું મૂકીને તમારી પાછળ આવ્યા છીએ, તો અમને શું મળશે?” BSB BSB: “Look,” Peter replied, “we have left everything to follow You. What then will there be for us?”
28 ULB ઈસુએ તેઓને કહ્યું, “હું તમને નિશ્ચે કહું છું કે, જયારે પુનઃઆગમનમાં માણસનો દીકરો પોતાના મહિમાના રાજ્યાસન પર બેસશે, ત્યારે તમે, મારી પાછળ આવનારા, ઇઝરાયલનાં બાર કુળનો ન્યાય કરતાં બાર રાજ્યાસનો પર બિરાજશો. BSB BSB: Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, in the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on His glorious throne, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
29 ULB જે કોઈએ ઘરોને, ભાઈઓને, બહેનોને, પિતાઓને, માતાઓને, બાળકોને, કે ખેતરોને મારા નામને લીધે પાછળ મૂકી દીધાં છે, તે સોગણાં પામશે અને અનંતજીવનનો વારસો પામશે. BSB BSB: And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for the sake of My name will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life.
30 ULB પણ ઘણાં જેઓ પ્રથમ તેઓ છેલ્લાં થશે; અને જેઓ છેલ્લાં તેઓ પ્રથમ થશે.” BSB BSB: But many who are first will be last, and the last will be first.
