1 ULB તો સ્વર્ગના રાજ્ય દસ કુમારિકાઓ જેવું છે, જેઓ પોતાની મશાલો લઈને વરરાજાને મળવા સારુ બહાર ગઈ. BSB BSB: “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
2 ULB તેઓમાંની પાંચ મૂર્ખ હતી અને પાંચ બુદ્ધિમાન હતી. BSB BSB: Five of them were foolish, and five were wise.
3 ULB મૂર્ખ કુમારિકાઓએ પોતાની મશાલો લીધી ખરી, પણ તેઓએ સાથે તેલ લીધું નહિ; BSB BSB: The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take along any extra oil.
4 ULB પણ બુદ્ધિવંતીઓએ પોતાની મશાલો સાથે કુપ્પીમાં તેલ લીધું. BSB BSB: But the wise ones took oil in flasks along with their lamps.
5 ULB વરરાજાને આવતાં વાર લાગી એટલામાં તેઓ સર્વ ઝોકાં ખાઈને નિદ્રાવશ થઈ. BSB BSB: When the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and fell asleep.
6 ULB મધરાતે જાહેરાત થઈ કે, ‘જુઓ, વરરાજા આવ્યો છે! તેને મળવાને નીકળો.’” BSB BSB: At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’
7 ULB ત્યારે તે સર્વ કુમારિકાઓએ ઊઠીને પોતાની મશાલો તૈયાર કરી. BSB BSB: Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps.
8 ULB મૂર્ખીઓએ બુદ્ધિવંતીઓને કહ્યું કે, ‘તમારા તેલમાંથી અમને આપો, કેમ કે અમારી મશાલો હોલવાઈ જાય છે.’ BSB BSB: The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’
9 ULB પણ બુદ્ધિવંતીઓએ ઉત્તર આપતાં કહ્યું કે, ‘કદાચ અમને તથા તમને પૂરું નહિ પડે, માટે તમે વેચનારાઓની પાસે જઈને પોતાને સારુ તેલ વેચાતું લો.’” BSB BSB: ‘No,’ said the wise ones, ‘or there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’
10 ULB તેઓ તેલ ખરીદવા ગઈ એટલામાં વરરાજા આવી પહોંચ્યા, જેઓ તૈયાર હતી તેઓ તેમની સાથે લગ્નજમણમાં ગઈ અને બારણું બંધ કરવામાં આવ્યું. BSB BSB: But while they were on their way to buy it, the bridegroom arrived. Those who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet, and the door was shut.
11 ULB પછી મૂર્ખ કુમારિકાઓએ આવીને કહ્યું કે, ‘ઓ સ્વામી, સ્વામી, અમારે સારુ ઉઘાડો.’ BSB BSB: Later the other virgins arrived and said, ‘Lord, lord, open the door for us!’
12 ULB પણ તેણે ઉત્તર દેતાં કહ્યું, ‘હું તમને નિશ્ચે કહું છું કે હું તમને ઓળખતો નથી.’ BSB BSB: But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I do not know you.’
13 ULB માટે તમે જાગતા રહો, કેમ કે તે દિવસ અથવા તે ઘડી તમે જાણતા નથી. BSB BSB: Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.
14 ULB કેમ કે તેમનું આવવું એક માણસના જેવું છે, જેણે પરદેશ જતી વખતે પોતાના ચાકરોને બોલાવીને પોતાની સંપત્તિ તેઓને સોંપી. BSB BSB: For it is just like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted them with his possessions.
15 ULB એકને તેણે પાંચ તાલંત, બીજાને બે, ત્રીજાને એક એમ દરેકને તેઓની શક્તિ પ્રમાણે આપ્યું; અને તે પરદેશ ગયો. BSB BSB: To one he gave five talents, to another two talents, and to another one talent—each according to his own ability. And he went on his journey.
16 ULB પછી જેને પાંચ તાલંત મળ્યા હતા, તે તરત જઈને વેપાર કરીને તે વડે બીજા પાંચ તાલંત કમાયો. BSB BSB: The servant who had received the five talents went at once and put them to work and gained five more.
17 ULB તેમ જ જેને બે, તે પણ બીજા બે તાલંત કમાયો. BSB BSB: Likewise, the one with the two talents gained two more.
18 ULB પણ જેને એક તાલંત મળ્યો હતો તેણે જઈને જમીનમાં ખોદીને પોતાના માલિકનું નાણું દાટી રાખ્યું. BSB BSB: But the servant who had received the one talent went off, dug a hole in the ground, and hid his master’s money.
19 ULB હવે લાંબી મુદત પછી તે ચાકરોનો માલિક આવ્યો, ત્યારે તેણે તેઓની પાસેથી હિસાબ માગ્યો. BSB BSB: After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them.
20 ULB ત્યારે જેને પાંચ તાલંત મળ્યા હતા તે બીજા પાંચ તાલંત પણ લેતો આવ્યો, તેણે કહ્યું કે, ‘માલિક, તમે મને પાંચ તાલંત સોંપ્યાં હતા; જુઓ, હું તે ઉપરાંત બીજા પાંચ તાલંત કમાયો છું.’ BSB BSB: The servant who had received the five talents came and presented five more. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five talents. See, I have gained five more.’
21 ULB ત્યારે તેના માલિકે તેને કહ્યું કે, ‘શાબાશ, સારાં તથા વિશ્વાસુ ચાકર! તું થોડામાં વિશ્વાસુ માલૂમ પડ્યો છે; હું તને ઘણાં પર ઠરાવીશ. તારા માલિકના આનંદમાં પ્રવેશ કર.’” BSB BSB: His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master!’
22 ULB જેને બે તાલંત મળ્યા હતા, તેણે પણ પાસે આવીને કહ્યું કે, ‘માલિક, તેં મને બે તાલંત સોંપ્યાં હતા; જો, હું તે ઉપરાંત બીજા બે તાલંત કમાયો છું.’ BSB BSB: The servant who had received the two talents also came and said, ‘Master, you entrusted me with two talents. See, I have gained two more.’
23 ULB તેના માલિકે તેને કહ્યું કે, ‘શાબાશ, સારાં તથા વિશ્વાસુ ચાકર! તું થોડામાં વિશ્વાસુ માલૂમ પડ્યો છે; હું તને ઘણાં પર ઠરાવીશ. તારા માલિકના આનંદમાં પ્રવેશ કર.’” BSB BSB: His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master!’
24 ULB પછી જેને એક તાલંત મળ્યો હતો, તેણે પણ પાસે આવીને કહ્યું કે, ‘માલિક મેં જોયું કે તું એવો કઠોર માણસ છે કે, જ્યાં તેં નથી વાવ્યું ત્યાંથી તું કાપનાર અને જ્યાં તેં નથી વેર્યું ત્યાંથી તું એકઠું કરનાર છે. BSB BSB: Finally, the servant who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Master, I knew that you are a hard man, reaping where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed.
25 ULB માટે મને બીક લાગી અને જઈને તારા તાલંતને મેં જમીનમાં દાટી રાખ્યું. જો, તને તારું તાલંત પાછું પહોંચ્યું છે. BSB BSB: So I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground. See, you have what belongs to you.’
26 ULB તેના માલિકે ઉત્તર દેતાં તેને કહ્યું કે, અરે દુષ્ટ તથા આળસુ ચાકર જ્યાં મેં નથી વાવ્યું ત્યાંથી હું કાપું છું અને જ્યાં મેં નથી વેર્યું ત્યાંથી હું એકઠું કરું છું, એમ તું જાણતો હતો; BSB BSB: ‘You wicked, lazy servant!’ replied his master. ‘You knew that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed.
27 ULB તો તારે મારાં નાણાં શાહુકારોને આપવા જોઈતાં હતા કે હું આવું ત્યારે મને વ્યાજ સાથે પાછા મળત. BSB BSB: Then you should have deposited my money with the bankers, and on my return I would have received it back with interest.
28 ULB એ માટે તેની પાસેથી તાલંત લઈને જેની પાસે દસ તાલંત છે તેને તે આપો. BSB BSB: Therefore take the talent from him and give it to the one who has ten talents.
29 ULB કેમ કે જેની પાસે છે તે દરેકને અપાશે અને તેની પાસે પુષ્કળ થશે; પણ જેની પાસે નથી, તેની પાસે જે છે તે પણ લઈ લેવાશે. BSB BSB: For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. But the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.
30 ULB તે નકામા ચાકરને બહારના અંધકારમાં ફેંકી દો. ત્યાં તેણે રડવાનું તથા દાંત પીસવાનું થશે.’” BSB BSB: And throw that worthless servant into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
32 ULB સર્વ દેશજાતિઓ તેમની આગળ એકઠી કરાશે; અને જેમ ઘેટાંપાળક ઘેટાંને બકરાંથી જુદાં પાડે છે, તેમ તે તેઓને એકબીજાથી જુદા પાડશે. BSB BSB: All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate the people one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
33 ULB ઘેટાંને તે પોતાને જમણે હાથે, પણ બકરાંને ડાબે હાથે રાખશે. BSB BSB: He will place the sheep on His right and the goats on His left.
34 ULB ત્યારે રાજા પોતાની જમણી તરફનાઓને કહેશે કે, ‘મારા પિતાના આશીર્વાદિતો તમે આવો, જે રાજ્ય સૃષ્ટિનો પાયો નાખ્યા અગાઉ તમારે સારુ તૈયાર કરેલું છે તેનો વારસો લો. BSB BSB: Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
35 ULB કેમ કે હું ભૂખ્યો હતો, ત્યારે તમે મને ખવડાવ્યું; હું તરસ્યો હતો, ત્યારે તમે મને કંઈક પીવા માટે આપ્યું; હું પારકો હતો; ત્યારે તમે મને અતિથિ તરીકે રાખ્યો; BSB BSB: For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink, I was a stranger and you took Me in,
36 ULB હું નિર્વસ્ત્ર હતો, ત્યારે તમે મને વસ્ત્ર પહેરાવ્યાં; હું માંદો હતો ત્યારે તમે મારી ચાકરી કરી; હું જેલમાં હતો, ત્યારે તમે મને મળવા આવ્યા.’” BSB BSB: I was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you looked after Me, I was in prison and you visited Me.’
37 ULB ત્યારે ન્યાયીઓ તેમને ઉત્તર આપશે કે, ‘પ્રભુ, ક્યારે અમે તમને ભૂખ્યા જોઈને ખવડાવ્યું, તરસ્યા જોઈને કંઈક પીવા માટે આપ્યા? BSB BSB: Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You something to drink?
38 ULB ક્યારે અમે તમને પારકા જોઈને અતિથિ રાખ્યા, નિર્વસ્ત્ર જોઈને વસ્ત્ર પહેરાવ્યાં? BSB BSB: When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?
39 ULB ક્યારે અમે તમને માંદા અથવા જેલમાં જોઈને તમને મળવા આવ્યા?’ BSB BSB: When did we see You sick or in prison and visit You?’
40 ULB ત્યારે રાજા તેઓને ઉત્તર આપશે, ‘હું તમને નિશ્ચે કહું છું કે, ‘આ મારા ભાઈઓમાંના બહુ નાનાંઓમાંથી એકને તમે તે કર્યું એટલે તે મને કર્યું.’” BSB BSB: And the King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me.’
42 ULB કેમ કે હું ભૂખ્યો હતો, પણ તમે મને ખવડાવ્યું નહિ, હું તરસ્યો હતો, પણ તમે મને કંઈક પીવા માટે આપ્યું નહિ; BSB BSB: For I was hungry and you gave Me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave Me nothing to drink,
43 ULB હું પારકો હતો, પણ તમે મને અતિથિ રાખ્યો નહિ; નિર્વસ્ત્ર હતો, પણ તમે મને વસ્ત્ર પહેરાવ્યાં નહિ; માંદો તથા જેલમાં હતો, પણ તમે મારી ચાકરી કરી નહિ.’” BSB BSB: I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, I was naked and you did not clothe Me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after Me.’
44 ULB ત્યારે તેઓ પણ તેમને ઉત્તર આપશે કે, ‘પ્રભુ, ક્યારે અમે તમને ભૂખ્યા, તરસ્યા, પારકા, નિર્વસ્ત્ર, માંદા કે જેલમાં જોઈને તમારી સેવા નથી કરી?’ BSB BSB: And they too will reply, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’
45 ULB ત્યારે ઈસુ તેઓને ઉત્તર આપશે કે, ‘હું તમને નિશ્ચે કહું છું કે, ‘આ બહુ નાનાઓમાંથી એકને તમે તે કર્યું નહિ, એટલે તે મને કર્યું નહિ.’ BSB BSB: Then the King will answer, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for Me.’
