1 ULB તેથી, હે બીજાઓનો ન્યાય કરનાર મનુષ્ય, તું ગમે તે હોય, પણ બહાનું કાઢી શકશે નહિ, કેમ કે જે વિષે તું બીજાનો ન્યાય કરે છે તેમાં તું પોતાને અપરાધી ઠરાવે છે; કેમ કે ન્યાય કરનાર તું પોતે પણ એવાં જ કામ કરે છે. BSB BSB: You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on another. For on whatever grounds you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.
2 ULB પણ આપણે જાણીએ છીએ કે એવો વ્યવહાર કરનારાઓ પર ઈશ્વરનો ન્યાયચુકાદો સત્યને આધારે આવે છે. BSB BSB: And we know that God’s judgment against those who do such things is based on truth.
3 ULB અને, હે મનુષ્ય, તું એવાં કામ કરનારનો ન્યાય કરે છે અને પોતે જ તે પ્રમાણે કરે છે. શું તું ઈશ્વરના ન્યાયમાં બચશે ખરો? BSB BSB: So when you, O man, pass judgment on others, yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment?
4 ULB અથવા ઈશ્વરની દયા તને પસ્તાવા તરફ પ્રેરે છે એવી અજ્ઞાનતામાં શું તેમની દયાની, સહનશીલતાની અને ધીરજની સંપત્તિને તુચ્છ ગણે છે? BSB BSB: Or do you disregard the riches of His kindness, tolerance, and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness leads you to repentance?
5 ULB તું તો તારા કઠણ અને પશ્ચાતાપ વિનાના હૃદયને લીધે પોતાને સારુ ઈશ્વરીય કોપના દિવસને માટે કોપનો સંગ્રહ કરે છે કે જયારે ઈશ્વરનો સચોટ ન્યાયચુકાદો જાહેર થશે. BSB BSB: But because of your hard and unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed.
7 ULB એટલે જેઓ ધીરજથી સારાં કામ કરીને, પ્રશંસા, માન અને અવિનાશીપણું શોધે છે, તેઓને અનંતજીવન. BSB BSB: To those who by perseverance in doing good seek glory, honor, and immortality, He will give eternal life.
8 ULB પણ જેઓ સ્વાર્થી, સત્યનું પાલન ન કરનારા પણ અન્યાયનું પાલન કરનાર છે, BSB BSB: But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow wickedness, there will be wrath and anger.
9 ULB તેઓના ઉપર કોપ, ક્રોધ, વિપત્તિ અને વેદના આવશે, દુષ્ટતા કરનાર દરેક મનુષ્ય પર આવશે, પ્રથમ યહૂદી પર અને પછી ગ્રીક પર. BSB BSB: There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil, first for the Jew, then for the Greek;
10 ULB પણ સારું કરનાર દરેક પર, પ્રશંસા, માન અને શાંતિ આવશે, પ્રથમ યહૂદી પર અને પછી ગ્રીક પર; BSB BSB: but glory, honor, and peace for everyone who does good, first for the Jew, then for the Greek.
11 ULB ઈશ્વર પાસે પક્ષપાત નથી. BSB BSB: For God does not show favoritism.
12 ULB કેમ કે જેટલાંએ નિયમશાસ્ત્ર વગર પાપ કર્યું, તેઓ નિયમશાસ્ત્ર વગર નાશ પામશે; અને જેટલાંએ નિયમશાસ્ત્ર પામ્યા છતાં પાપ કર્યું, તેઓનો ન્યાય નિયમશાસ્ત્ર પ્રમાણે કરવામાં આવશે. BSB BSB: All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law.
13 ULB કેમ કે નિયમશાસ્ત્ર સાંભળનારાં ઈશ્વરની દ્રષ્ટિમાં ન્યાયી નથી પણ નિયમશાસ્ત્ર પાળનારા ન્યાયી ઠરશે; BSB BSB: For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but it is the doers of the law who will be declared righteous.
15 ULB તેઓની પ્રેરકબુદ્ધિ તેઓની સાથે સાક્ષી આપે છે અને તેઓના વિચાર પોતાને દોષિત અથવા નિર્દોષ ઠરાવે છે અને તે પ્રમાણે તેઓ પોતાના અંતઃકરણમાં લખેલ નિયમશાસ્ત્ર મુજબનું કામ દેખાડે છે; BSB BSB: So they show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts either accusing or defending them
16 ULB ઈશ્વર મારી સુવાર્તા પ્રમાણે ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્તની મારફતે મનુષ્યોના ગુપ્ત કામોનો ન્યાય કરશે, તે દિવસે એમ થશે. BSB BSB: on the day when God will judge men’s secrets through Christ Jesus, as proclaimed by my gospel.
17 ULB પણ જો તું પોતાને યહૂદી કહે છે અને નિયમશાસ્ત્ર પર આધાર રાખે છે, ઈશ્વરમાં ગૌરવ ધરાવે છે, BSB BSB: Now you, if you call yourself a Jew; if you rely on the law and boast in God;
18 ULB તેમની ઇચ્છા જાણે છે, નિયમશાસ્ત્ર શીખેલો હોઈને જે જુદું છે તે પારખી લે છે BSB BSB: if you know His will and approve of what is superior because you are instructed by the law;
19 ULB જો પોતાના વિષે એવી ખાતરી રાખે છે કે તું દ્રષ્ટિહીનોને દોરનાર, જે અંધકારમાં છે તેઓને પ્રકાશ આપનાર, BSB BSB: if you are convinced that you are a guide for the blind, a light for those in darkness,
20 ULB બુદ્ધિહીનોનો શિક્ષક, બાળકોને શીખવનાર છે અને તને નિયમશાસ્ત્રમાં જ્ઞાન અને સત્યનું સ્વરૂપ પ્રાપ્ત થયું છે. BSB BSB: an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of infants, because you have in the law the embodiment of knowledge and truth—
21 ULB ત્યારે બીજાને શીખવનાર, શું તું પોતાને શીખવતો નથી? ચોરી ન કરવી એવો ઉપદેશ આપનાર, શું તું પોતે ચોરી કરે છે? BSB BSB: you, then, who teach others, do you not teach yourself? You who preach against stealing, do you steal?
22 ULB વ્યભિચાર ન કરવો એવું કહેનાર, શું તું વ્યભિચાર કરે છે? મૂર્તિઓથી કંટાળનાર, શું તું ભક્તિસ્થાનોને લૂંટે છે? BSB BSB: You who forbid adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples?
23 ULB તું જે નિયમશાસ્ત્ર વિષે ગર્વ કરે છે તે નિયમશાસ્ત્રનો ભંગ કરીને શું ઈશ્વરનું અપમાન કરે છે? BSB BSB: You who boast in the law, do you dishonor God by breaking the law?
24 ULB કેમ કે શાસ્ત્રમાં લખ્યું છે તે પ્રમાણે ‘તમારે લીધે બિનયહૂદીઓમાં ઈશ્વરનું નામ નિંદાપાત્ર થાય છે.’” BSB BSB: As it is written: “God’s name is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.”
25 ULB જો તું નિયમશાસ્ત્ર પાળનાર હોય, તો સુન્નત લાભકારક છે ખરી; પણ જો તું નિયમશાસ્ત્રનું ઉલ્લંઘન કરનાર હોય, તો તે તારી સુન્નત બેસુન્નત થઈ જાય છે. BSB BSB: Circumcision has value if you observe the law, but if you break the law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.
26 ULB માટે જો બેસુન્નતી માણસ નિયમશાસ્ત્રના વિધિઓ પાળે તો શું તેની બેસુન્નત સુન્નત તરીકે નહિ ગણાય? BSB BSB: If a man who is not circumcised keeps the requirements of the law, will not his uncircumcision be regarded as circumcision?
27 ULB શરીરથી જે બેસુન્નતીઓ છે તેઓ નિયમ પાળીને તને એટલે કે જેની પાસે પવિત્રશાસ્ત્ર અને સુન્નત હોવા છતાં નિયમશાસ્ત્રનું ઉલ્લંઘન કરનારને, શું અપરાધી નહિ ઠરાવશે? BSB BSB: The one who is physically uncircumcised yet keeps the law will condemn you who, even though you have the written code and circumcision, are a lawbreaker.
28 ULB કેમ કે જે દેખીતો યહૂદી તે યહૂદી નથી અને જે દેખીતી એટલે શરીરની સુન્નત તે સુન્નત નથી. BSB BSB: A man is not a Jew because he is one outwardly, nor is circumcision only outward and physical.
29 ULB પણ જે આંતરિક રીતે યહૂદી છે તે જ સાચો યહૂદી છે; અને જે સુન્નત હૃદયની, એટલે કેવળ શાસ્ત્રવચન પ્રમાણેની નહિ પણ આત્મિક, તે જ સાચી સુન્નત છે; અને તેની પ્રશંસા મનુષ્ય તરફથી નથી, પણ ઈશ્વર તરફથી છે. BSB BSB: No, a man is a Jew because he is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a man’s praise does not come from men, but from God.
