1. 1ULBતો પછી યહૂદીની વિશેષતા શી છે? અને સુન્નતથી શો લાભ છે?BSBBSB: What, then, is the advantage of being a Jew? Or what is the value of circumcision?
2. 2ULBસર્વ પ્રકારે ઘણાં લાભ છે. પ્રથમ તો એકે, ઈશ્વરનાં વચનો તેઓને સોંપવામાં આવ્યાં હતાં.BSBBSB: Much in every way. First of all, they have been entrusted with the very words of God.
3. 3ULBઅને જો કેટલાક અવિશ્વાસી હતા તો શું? તેઓનો અવિશ્વાસ શું ઈશ્વરના વિશ્વાસુપણાને નિરર્થક કરે?BSBBSB: What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God’s faithfulness?
4. 4ULBના, એવું ન થાય; હા, દરેક મનુષ્ય જૂઠું ઠરે તોપણ ઈશ્વર સાચા ઠરો; જેમ લખેલું છે કે, ‘તમે પોતાનાં વચનોમાં ન્યાયી ઠરો, અને તમારો ન્યાય કરવામાં આવે ત્યારે તમારો વિજય થાય.’”BSBBSB: Certainly not! Let God be true and every man a liar. As it is written: “So that You may be proved right when You speak and victorious when You judge.”
5. 5ULBપણ જો આપણું અન્યાયીપણું ઈશ્વરના ન્યાયીપણાને સ્થાપિત કરે છે, તો આપણે શું કહીએ? જે આપણા પર ક્રોધ લાવે છે તે ઈશ્વર અન્યાયી છે શું? હું મનુષ્યની રીત પ્રમાણે બોલું છું.BSBBSB: But if our unrighteousness highlights the righteousness of God, what shall we say? That God is unjust to inflict His wrath on us? I am speaking in human terms.
6. 6ULBના, એવું ન થાઓ; કેમ કે જો એમ હોય તો ઈશ્વર માનવજગતનો ન્યાય કેવી રીતે કરે?BSBBSB: Certainly not! In that case, how could God judge the world?
7. 7ULBપણ જો મારા અસત્યથી ઈશ્વરનું સત્ય તેમના મહિમાને અર્થે વધારે પ્રગટ થયું, તો હજુ સુધી અપરાધી તરીકે મારો ન્યાય કેમ કરવામાં આવે છે?BSBBSB: However, if my falsehood accentuates God’s truthfulness, to the increase of His glory, why am I still condemned as a sinner?
8. 8ULBઅને અમારી નિંદા કરનારા કેટલાક અમારા વિષે કહે છે કે, ‘તેઓનું બોલવું એવું છે કે, સારું થાય માટે આપણે દુષ્ટતા આચરીએ, એવું કેમ ન કરીએ?’ તેઓને કરાયેલી શિક્ષા ઉચિત છે.BSBBSB: Why not say, as some slanderously claim that we say, “Let us do evil that good may result”? Their condemnation is deserved!
9. 9ULBતો પછી શું? આપણે તેઓના કરતાં સારા છીએ? ના તદ્દન નહિ. કારણ કે આપણે અગાઉ યહૂદીઓ તથા ગ્રીકો પર દોષ મૂક્યો કે તેઓ સઘળા પાપને આધીન છે.BSBBSB: What then? Are we any better? Not at all. For we have already made the charge that Jews and Greeks alike are all under sin.
10. 10ULBજેમ શાસ્ત્રમાં લખેલું છે તેમ કે; ‘કોઈ ન્યાયી નથી, એક પણ નથી;BSBBSB: As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one.
11. 11ULBસમજનાર અને ઈશ્વરને શોધનાર કોઈ નથી;BSBBSB: There is no one who understands, no one who seeks God.
12. 12ULBતેઓ સર્વ ભટકી ગયા છે, તેઓ બધા નકામા થયા છે; સારું કામ કરનાર કોઈ નથી, ના, એક પણ નથીBSBBSB: All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.”
13. 13ULBતેઓનું ગળું ઉઘાડી કબર જેવું છે; પોતાની જીભથી તેઓએ કપટ કર્યું છે; તેઓના હોઠોમાં સાપનું ઝેર છે!BSBBSB: “Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit.” “The venom of vipers is on their lips.”
14. 14ULBતેઓનું મોં શ્રાપથી તથા કડવાશથી ભરેલું છે;BSBBSB: “Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.”
15. 15ULBતેઓના પગ લોહી વહેવડાવવા માટે ઉતાવળા છે;BSBBSB: “Their feet are swift to shed blood;
16. 16ULBતેઓના માર્ગોમાં વિનાશ તથા વિપત્તિ છે;BSBBSB: ruin and misery lie in their wake,
17. 17ULBશાંતિનો માર્ગ તેઓએ જાણ્યો નથીBSBBSB: and the way of peace they have not known.”
18. 18ULBતેઓની આંખ આગળ ઈશ્વરનું ભય નથી.’”BSBBSB: “There is no fear of God before their eyes.”
19. 19ULBહવે આપણે જાણીએ છીએ કે જેઓ નિયમશાસ્ત્રને આધીન છે, તેઓને નિયમશાસ્ત્ર કહે છે, જેથી દરેક મોં બંધ થાય, અને આખું માનવજગત ઈશ્વરની આગળ દોષિત ઠરે.BSBBSB: Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God.
20. 20ULBકેમ કે તેની આગળ કોઈ મનુષ્ય નિયમશાસ્ત્રની કરણીઓથી ન્યાયી ઠરશે નહિ, કેમ કે નિયમ દ્વારા તો પાપ વિષે સમજ પડે છે.BSBBSB: Therefore no one will be justified in His sight by works of the law. For the law merely brings awareness of sin.
21. 21ULBપણ હમણાં ઈશ્વરનું એવું ન્યાયીપણું પ્રગટ થયું છે કે જે નિયમશાસ્ત્રને આધારિત નથી, અને જેની ખાતરી નિયમશાસ્ત્ર તથા પ્રબોધકો આપે છે;BSBBSB: But now, apart from the law, the righteousness of God has been revealed, as attested by the Law and the Prophets.
22. 22ULBએટલે ઈશ્વરનું ન્યાયીપણું, જે ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્ત પરના વિશ્વાસદ્વારા સર્વ વિશ્વાસ કરનારાઓને માટે છે તે; કેમ કે એમાં કંઈ પણ તફાવત નથી.BSBBSB: And this righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no distinction,
23. 23ULBકારણ કે બધાએ પાપ કર્યું છે અને ઈશ્વરના મહિમા વિષે બધા અધૂરાં રહે છે;BSBBSB: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
24. 24ULBપણ ખ્રિસ્ત ઈસુમાં જે ઉદ્ધાર છે, તેમની મારફતે ઈશ્વરની કૃપાએ તેઓ વિનામૂલ્યે ન્યાયી ગણાય છે.BSBBSB: and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
25. 25ULBઈશ્વરે તેમને તેમના રક્ત પરના વિશ્વાસથી લોકો માટે પ્રાયશ્ચિત થવા માટે ઠરાવ્યાં, કે જેથી અગાઉ થયેલાં પાપની માફી અપાઈ તે વિષે તે પોતાનું ન્યાયીપણું બતાવે;BSBBSB: God presented Him as an atoning sacrifice in His blood through faith, in order to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance He had passed over the sins committed beforehand.
26. 26ULBએટલે કે વર્તમાન સમયમાં તે ઈશ્વરની ધીરજમાં પોતાનું ન્યાયીપણું પ્રદર્શિત કરે, જેથી પોતે ન્યાયી રહીને ઈસુ પર વિશ્વાસ રાખનારને ન્યાયી ઠરાવનાર થાય.BSBBSB: He did this to demonstrate His righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and to justify the one who has faith in Jesus.
27. 27ULBતો આત્મપ્રશંસા કરવાનું ક્યાં રહ્યું? તેનો સમાવેશ નથી. કયા નિયમથી? શું કરણીના? ના, પણ વિશ્વાસના નિયમથી.BSBBSB: Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On that of works? No, but on that of faith.
28. 28ULBમાટે અમે એવું સમજીએ છીએ કે, મનુષ્ય નિયમશાસ્ત્રની કરણીઓ વગર વિશ્વાસથી ન્યાયી ઠરે છે.BSBBSB: For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the law.
29. 29ULBનહિ તો શું ઈશ્વર કેવળ યહૂદીઓના જ છે? શું બિનયહૂદીઓના પણ નથી? હા, બિનયહૂદીઓના પણ છે;BSBBSB: Is God the God of Jews only? Is He not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too,
30. 30ULBકારણ કે ઈશ્વર એક જ છે કે તે સુન્નતીને અને બેસુન્નતીને પણ વિશ્વાસદ્વારા ન્યાયી ઠરાવશે.BSBBSB: since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith.
31. 31ULBત્યારે શું અમે વિશ્વાસથી નિયમશાસ્ત્રને રદબાતલ કરીએ છીએ? ના, એવું ન થાઓ, તેથી ઊલટું અમે તો નિયમશાસ્ત્રને પ્રસ્થાપિત કરીએ છીએ.BSBBSB: Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Certainly not! Instead, we uphold the law.
