1አይሁድንከስታ Ꮊዉስ ሰጨንካ የሱስ ዘርግ ትሰንታ ዎክካ ስገድንካ ክታ ካርንካ ጎርስምድባብከሰረ ትሰን ታክስተኮ ዎክስሶ እቸሮ Ꮊቀኬ።One Sabbath Jesus was passing through the grainfields, and His disciples began to pick the heads of grain, rub them in their hands, and eat them.

2ፈረሳዊያንንከሳርንካ ዋልቃ ዋልቀንከስ ማቼ “አይሁድንታ Ꮊዉስ ሰጨንካ ይም ዝግዝዳክንደትም Ꮊረተንት ይዳ?” ከትም ጋይሴ።But some of the Pharisees asked, “Why are you doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?”

3የሱሰረ “ዳዊት ይ ዳቀርሳንᎺይካ ይንታ ላኮይትንከስካ ክክን ይሳንደትም ቦድሶ የታ ናበባከቴ?Jesus replied, “Have you not read what David did when he and his companions were hungry?

4ኖየረ ሳብታ ኤሄናር አርድሶ ቄሰንከዘንካ አብንከስ እጅድንግንዳ ጋይማክንደትም ጭልምሳን ባይስንም አምስትዮ እቼ፥ ይንካ ክክን ዶቅድን ኤድንከስካንተረ እምሴ” ኩንጋየሮ ከትካንታ ማስሴ።He entered the house of God, took the consecrated bread and gave it to his companions, and ate what is lawful only for the priests to eat.”

5ጉጅሰረ “ኤድ ይንችና አይሁድንታ Ꮊዉስ ሰጨንታ ባበኔ” ከደር ጋይሴ።Then Jesus declared, “The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.”

6አና አብ አይሁድንከስታ Ꮊዉስ ሰጨንከረ ከታ ምክስ ኤሄናር አርድሶ ኤስዝድ Ꮊቄ፥ ኮታረረ ክታ ምዝ አንና ምጨልስባብ ዋልቃ ኤች Ꮊቄ።On another Sabbath Jesus entered the synagogue and was teaching, and a man was there whose right hand was withered.

7ሙሴታ ህግንም ኤስዝድባብከስከ ፈረሳውያንንከስ የሱሰም ካሰስካንታ ኬዛ ዝግመትካ “ይና አይሁድንከስታ Ꮊዉስ ሰጨንካ ክት ፋጅድንዳ ማቼ ዎ ሰዳጋካ” ጋይሰኮ ካርሰሮ Ꮊቀኬ።Looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, the scribes and Pharisees were watching Him closely to see if He would heal on the Sabbath.

8የሱስ ማቼ ከታ ገቅርንም ኤስሶ አንን ምጨልስባብ ኤችንም “አምተዮ ከታ ዎክያር ዎእካ!” ክትም ጋይሴ፥ ኤችነረ አምትዮ ዎእሴ።But Jesus knew their thoughts and said to the man with the withered hand, “Get up and stand among us.” So he got up and stood there.

9የሱሰረ “ይና ዋልቃ ር እ የም ኦይሳ፥ አይሁድንከስታ Ꮊዉስ ሰጨንካ ጋየርሳንዳ ኡርማ ፍክስዮ አና ዳቅል ፍክስዮ? ሰንፓ አቅስዮ አና ካይስዮ?” ከደር ጋይሴ።Then Jesus said to them, “I ask you, which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy it?”

10ጉጅሰረ የሱስ ይንታ ጋስትንካ ዶቅድባብከስ ሙደን ይ ሰዳንደታ ቡር ኤችንም “የስታ አንን ፍእስካ!” ክትም ጋይሴ። ኤችነረ ይም ጋይሳንግንዳ ይሴ፥ ክታ አንነረ ቦድሶ ኡርሴ።And after looking around at all of them, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He did so, and it was restored.

11ሙሴታ ህግንም ኤስዝድባብከስኬ ፈረሳውያንንከስ ማቼ አንድር ዋጭሰኮ የሱሰም Ꮊራ ይ ከትም ዝግዝዳናነረ ክክ ክክ ዞርምሰኬ።But the scribes and Pharisees were filled with rage and began to discuss with one another what they might do to Jesus.

12ከትኬና ሰጨንከሳርንካ ዋልቀንካ የሱስ ምክስካንታ ገቸንዘን ዉተዴ፥ ሶይትነረ ሙዳ ሳብደር ምግዝድ ገቼ።In those days Jesus went out to the mountain to pray, and He spent the night in prayer to God.

13ፍጨና ሰጭድንከረ ይንታካርንካ ጎርስምድባብከስም ኤልሶ ከታርንካ ታመከ ቃስተንንከስም እጄ፥ ከት ከመረ “ኦይትምስባብከስ” ጋይሶ ላም ከታ ዎጄ፥When daylight came, He called His disciples to Him and chose twelve of them, whom He also designated as apostles:

14ከተረ ጴጥሮስ ጋይምሶ ኤልምስባብ ስምኦንኬ እስመን እንደራስ፥ ያይቆብ፥ ዮሀንስ፥ ፍልጶስ፥Simon, whom He named Peter, and his brother Andrew; James and John; Philip and Bartholomew;

15ማቶስ፥ ቶማስ፥ እልፎሰታ ይንች ያይቆብ፥ ይንታ ፍጨንካንታ ጉርድባቤ ጋይምሶ ኤልምድባብ ስምኦን፥Matthew and Thomas; James son of Alphaeus and Simon called the Zealot;

16ያይቆበታ ይንች ይሁደኬ ቡር ስክስት እምስባብ አስቆሮንት ፍጨናርንክንባብ ይሁደካ Ꮊቀኬ።Judas son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor.

17የሱሰረ ኦይትምስባብከስካ ክክን ገቸንዘንካ Ꮊንቸርሶ ሳንከንዘን ዎእሴ፥ ክታ ካርንካ ጎርስምድባብከስታ ሱሰናርንካ አንድር በድ ኤድንከስ ኮታር Ꮊቀኬ። ጉጅሰረ ይሁዳ ፍጫርንካ ሙዳ፥ የሩሳሌም ካተመናርንካ፥ ጥሮስታርንኬ ሲዶና ባሀርንታ ላማርንካ Ꮊድባብ በድ ዎርሰረ ኮታር Ꮊቀኬ።Then Jesus came down with them and stood on a level place. A large crowd of His disciples was there, along with a great number of people from all over Judea, Jerusalem, and the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon.

18ከነረ ከት Ꮊዳንዳ ክትም ኤሰርካንታ፥ ይንዘንዶቅድን Ꮊዝምንዘንካ ፋጭካንተኬ ቱና አያንንካ ማጥመሮ Ꮊቅባበረ ፋጭካንቴ።They had come to hear Him and to be healed of their diseases, and those troubled by unclean spirits were healed.

19ክታዘንከረ አቅስታ ዎልቀና ዉተሮ ሙደንመረ ፋቸሮ Ꮊቃንካንታ ኤድ ሙደና የሱሰም ዎልካንታ ዝገሮ Ꮊቀኬ።The entire crowd was trying to touch Him, because power was coming from Him and healing them all.

20የሱስ ይንታ ካርንካ ጎርስምድባብከዝደር ሰደሮ፥ የታ ሪካየንባብከስ አንጅምስባበቴ! ሳብታ ባንችምና የ ካንቴ።Looking up at His disciples, Jesus said: “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.

21የታ ታ ዳቀርድባብከሶ አንጅምስባበቴ! ቡር ምዝደቴ፥ የታ ታ ኤብድባብከሶ ጭለቴ! ቡር ይንጭተረቴ።Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.

22ኤድንከስ ኤድ ይንችጎካ የም ቦዝድንካ፥ ይንታ ዎክያርንካ የም ፋዝድንከከ የም ከት ይንኤርድንካ፥ ዳቅል ላምከረ ከት የም ኤልድንካ የታ አንጅምስባበቴ!Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil because of the Son of Man.

23ይና የንታ ናክና ጭላር አንድሬ፥ ኮትᎺይካ የም ጉርምሳ፥ ኮካንተረ ጎብከቴ፥ ኤና እሪ ኬታ ባቤንከሰረ ሳብዘንካ ኤሰርሶ ከዛቅባብከስመረ ከት ይያᎺቃንዳ ኮትኮግንዳ Ꮊቄ።Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For their fathers treated the prophets in the same way.

24የታ ቆልመንባብከሶ ታ የም ኡርድንደትም ሙዳ የ Ꮊፍሳንካንታ የም የኤ!But woe to you who are rich, for you have already received your comfort.

25የታ ታ ምስባብከሶ የም የኤ! ቡር ዳቀርደቴ። የታ ታ ይንጭድባብከሶ የም የኤ፥ ቡር ሞርእደቴ አነረ ኤብደቴ።Woe to you who are well fed now, for you will hunger. Woe to you who laugh now, for you will mourn and weep.

26ኤድንከስ ሙደና የጎካ ኡርመንም ኬዝድንካ የም የኤ! ኤና እር ከታ ባበንንከስ ሳብዘንካ ኤሰራክዶቆ ካርከካ ከዛቅባብከስካንተረ ኮትኮግንዳ ይድ Ꮊቀኬ።Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for their fathers treated the false prophets in the same way.

27“ኬዛርንካ ማቼ የ እም ኤሰርድባብካንታ ጋይድቴ፥ የንታ ይምኤንባብከስም ሶልምከቴ፥ የም ቦዝድባብከስካንተረ ኡርመንም ይከቴ፥But to those of you who will listen, I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,

28የም ባድባብከስም አንጅከቴ፥ የንዘን ዳቅል ፍግዝድባብከስካንታ ምክስከቴ።bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.

29ዋልቃ ከቸን የስታ ጫቅድባብካንታ አብን ከቸን ጉጅሶ ሰችካ፥ የስታ ዘንንደት አፍለን ተይድባብካንታ የስታ ሳምዝነረ ክትም Ꮊይ ኦይሴ።If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. And if someone takes your cloak, do not withhold your tunic as well.

30የዝደር ምግዝድባብ ሙደንም እምካ፥ የስታ ርን ተይድባብ የስካንታ ማዝድንግንዳ ክትም Ꮊዮይሴ።Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what is yours, do not demand it back.

31ኤድንከስ ይ ዝግድንደትም የካንታ ይድንግንዳ የተረ ኮት ግንዳ ይከቴ።Do to others as you would have them do to you.

32“የም ሶልምድባብም የ ሶልምሴ Ꮊረንት ስግዳን ር Ꮊብዳ? ጎመንባብከሰረ ዎራ ይም ሶልምድባብከስም ሶልምደኬ።If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them.

33የካንታ ኡርማ ይስባብከስካንታ ኡርመን የ ይሴ Ꮊረንት ስገድን ር Ꮊብዳ? ጎመንባብከሰረ ዎራ ኮትኮግንዳ ይደኬ።If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do the same.

34ታልቀንም ማዝዴ የ ጋይድባብካንታ የ ታልቅዴ Ꮊረንት ስገዳን ር Ꮊብዳ? ጎመንባብከሰረ ዎራ ይ ታልቅሳንደትከካ ማስት ተይካንታ ‘ጎመንባብከስካንታ’ ታልቅደኬ።And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full.

35ኬዛርንካ ማቼ የታ የንታ ይምኤንባብከስም ሶልምከቴ! ኡርመንም ይከቴ፥ ‘ማስት ተይካንተረ ጉርም ይያከት ዶቆ’ ታልቅከቴ፥ ኮትኮከረ የንታ ናክነረ አንድር ማተሬ፥ ሙደንዘንካ ስግ ሳብንታ ይንች ማተረቴ፥ ኖ ጋለዳክንባብከስካንተኬ ዳቅልንከስካንታ Ꮊልስሜ።But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them, expecting nothing in return. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.

36ጭላር የንታ ባቤና አጨርድባብ ክት ማቻንግንዳ የተረ አጨርድባብ ማትከቴ።Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

37“Ꮊይ ፋረደቴ፥ ሳብ የንዘን ፋረተራክዬ፥ Ꮊይ ጩበቴ፥ ሳብ የንዘን ጩባዬ፥ ነጋ ጋይከቴ፥ ነጋ ጋይምተረቴ።Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

38እምከቴ፥ የካንታ ሳብዘንካ እምምተሬ፥ የ ማግድን ርንካ ማስሶ ሳብ የካንታ ማግድንኦል፥ ቅምሰርሳንዳ፥ የርቅሰርሳንደትኬ ጮጭሶ ዉልእምድንዳ ኡርማ ማከርድንደትካ ማክምሶ የካንታ ስጥንዳ እምምተሬ”።Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.”

39ጉጅሰረ “ዝልና ዝልንም ጎርስካንታ ማዶ? ቃስተና የድምሰኮ ጎርያር አርዳየኮ?Jesus also told them a parable: “Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit?

40ክታ ካርንካ ጎርስምድባብ ኤስዝድባብዘንካ ስጋዬ፥ ኬዛርንካ ማቼ ዝግዝድንከካ ኤስባብ ኤድ ሙደና ኤስዝድባብግንዳ ማተሬ።A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher.

41“የስታ እስመንታ አፍናር ዶቅድን ፍንጭን Ꮊረተስ ሰዳ? የስታ አፍናር ራቻንደትም ዛቤንም ሰዳካ?Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye but fail to notice the beam in your own eye?

42የስታ አፍንታ ዋር ዶቅድንደትም ዛንበን ሰዳካይ ዶቆ የስታ እስመንም ‘የ እስታ እስመኖ፥ የስታ አፍያር ዶቅድን ዳቅልን ዉችትቶ’ Ꮊስግንደስ ጋይካንታ ማዳ? የና ኦትረንባቦ፥ እርምሶ የስታ አፍናር ራቻንደትም ዛንበንም ዉችካ፥ ኮታ ቡር የስታ እስመንታ አፍናር ዶቅድን ዳቅልንም ዉችካንታ ኡርስት ሰዳዬ” ኩንጋየሮ ካምስካ ከትካንታ ኬዜ።How can you say, ‘Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,’ while you yourself fail to see the beam in your own eye? You hypocrite! First take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

43“ኡርማ Ꮊቃ ማትሶ ዶቅድዮ ዳቅል አፍ ኡዝድንዳ ካዬ፥ ኮትኮግንደረ ዳቅል Ꮊቃ ማትሰረ ኡርማ አፍ ኡዝድንዳ ካዬ።No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit.

44Ꮊቃ ሙደና ይንታ አፍንካ ኤስምዴ፥ ጋልዘንካ በለስ ጋይምድን Ꮊቀንታ አፍ ካምማዬ፥ Ꮊልምዘንካ ዎይን ጋየርድን Ꮊቀንታ አፍ ካምማዬ።For each tree is known by its own fruit. Indeed, figs are not gathered from thornbushes, nor grapes from brambles.

45ኡርማ ኤድ ይንታ ቡደናር ጮጫን ኡርማ ሪይናርንካ ኡርመንም ዉጅዴ፥ ዳቅል ኤድነረ ይንታ ቡደናር ጮጫን ዳቅል ሪይናርንካ ዳቅል ሪንም ዉጅዴ፥ ኤድ ይንታ ቡዳር ጮጫንደትም አፈካ ኬዝዴ።The good man brings good things out of the good treasure of his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil treasure of his heart. For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.

46“እ የም ጋይድንደትም ይዳከቴ፥ ይና Ꮊረተረ ‘ጮይስዮ! ጮይስዮ!’ የ እም ጋይድንዳ?Why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ but do not do what I say?

47እዝደር Ꮊድባብኬ እስታ ቃለንም ኤሰርሶ ቦድባብ ሙዳ Ꮊይም ክት ካምዳናንከረ እ የም ሰቻ፥I will show you what he is like who comes to Me and hears My words and acts on them:

48ኤሄን ይንታ ዎድካንታ ማለካ ኮይስባብከ ላዝንታዘን ዎጅባብ ኤችንም ካምዴ፥ ሳፍ ሎቀና Ꮊድሶ ኮትኮ ኤሄንም Ꮊንቅሴ፥ ላዝዘን ዎድምሳንኦል ሶክካንታ ማታክዬ።He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid his foundation on the rock. When the flood came, the torrent crashed against that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.

49እስታ ቃለንም ኤሰርሶ ቦዳክባብ ማቼ ኤሄን ኮያክዶቆ ፍጨዘን ዎጅባብ ኤችንም ካምዴ፥ ሳፍንታ ጮጭነረ ኤሄንም Ꮊንቅሳንደትካ ሳነካ ዋቼ፥ አንድር ካርችምሴ”።But the one who hears My words and does not act on them is like a man who built his house on ground without a foundation. The torrent crashed against that house, and immediately it fell—and great was its destruction!”
