1. 1GYLየሱስ ኮም ሙዳ ዎርሰንታ እሪ ኬዝሶ ይ በይሳንደታ ቡር ቅፍራናሆማር አይሴ።BSBBSB: When Jesus had concluded His discourse in the hearing of the people, He went to Capernaum.
2. 2GYLኮታረረ ፖልስንከስም ገችዝድባብ ዋልቃ ሮማ ፍጫ ኤች Ꮊቄ፥ አንድር ክት ሶልምድን ፍክስንባብ ሰቀርሶ ደእካንታ የልሶ Ꮊቄ።BSBBSB: There a highly valued servant of a centurion was sick and about to die.
3. 3GYLኖየረ የሱሳ ጎካ ይ ኤሰርሳንደትካ ፍክስንባብም ክትካንታ ፋጅድንግንዳ ኦይሳባብ አይሁድንከስታ ጋልተንከስም ኦይቼ።BSBBSB: When the centurion heard about Jesus, he sent some Jewish elders to ask Him to come and heal his servant.
4. 4GYLከተረ የሱሰደር Ꮊድሰኮ፥ “ኮም ክትካንታ ይ የስም ዝግዝድባብ ኤቼ፥BSBBSB: They came to Jesus and pleaded with Him earnestly, “This man is worthy to have You grant this,
5. 5GYLᎺረታ ጋይሴ ኮና ኤችና ዎንታ ዎርሰንም ሶልምደ፥ ዎንታ ምክስ ኤሄንመረ ዎችስባብ ኖዬ” ኩን ጋየረኮ ዳቅስሶ ክትም ምክሴ።BSBBSB: for he loves our nation and has built our synagogue.”
6. 6GYLየሱሰረ ከትካ ክክን አይሴ። ኤችንታ ኤሄንደር ክት የልሳንደትካ፥ ፖልስንከስም ገችዝድባብ ይንታ ሱሰንከስም ኦይትሶ፥ “ጮይስዮ፥ እስታ ኤሄንታ የለንታ ጎይካ የስም አርድ ዝግዝድን ኤድ ካይቴ Ꮊይ ጋፌBSBBSB: So Jesus went with them. But when He was not far from the house, the centurion sent friends with the message: “Lord, do not trouble Yourself, for I am not worthy to have You come under my roof.
7. 7GYLእተረ የስታ እር ዎራ ቅንችም ዝግዝድንግንዳ እስታ ማተንም ፋይዳይቴ፥ ኮ ኦል ዋልቃ ቃላ Ꮊክ ኬዝካ፥ እስታ ፍክስንባበረ ፋጭዴ።BSBBSB: That is why I did not consider myself worthy to come to You. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed.
8. 8GYLእስተረ ዘርመካ እም ክድባብ ዶቅዴ፥ እስታ ጎይከረ እ ክድባብ ዳምንባብከስ ዶቅደኬ፥ ዋልቃባብም ‘አይካ!’ እ ጋይድንካ አይዴ፥ አብንም ‘ኮሬ!’ እ ጋይሴ Ꮊዴ፥ እስታ ፍክስንባብመረ፥ ‘ኮም ይካ!’ እ ጋይድንካ ይ ክትምሳንደትም ይዴ” ኩንጋይሶ የሱሰደር ኦይቼ።BSBBSB: For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell one to go, and he goes, and another to come, and he comes. I tell my servant to do something, and he does it.”
9. 9GYLየሱሰረ ኮም ኤሰርሶ በርእሴ፥ ዋልን ጋይሰረ ጎርስምድ Ꮊቃን ዎርሰንም፥ “ኮግንዳ ዶቅድን አንድር አሜንን እስራኤልንከሳርንካ ዎራ Ꮊፋክቴ” እታ የም ጋይድቴ ጋይሴ።BSBBSB: When Jesus heard this, He marveled at the centurion. Turning to the crowd following Him, He said, “I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such great faith.”
10. 10GYLክትምስባብ ኤድንከሰረ ፖልስንከስም ገችዝድባብታ ኤር ከት ማድንካ ፍክስንባብ ፋጭሶ ዶቅድንካ ሰደኬ።BSBBSB: And when the messengers returned to the house, they found the servant in good health.
11. 11GYLኮታ ቡር የሱስ በድ ዶቃክዶቆ ናይን ጋይምድን ካተመናር አይሴ፥ የሱሰታ ካርንካ ጎርስምድባብከስከ በድ ዎርሰረ ክትካ ክክን አይሰኬ።BSBBSB: Soon afterward, Jesus went to a town called Nain. His disciples went with Him, accompanied by a large crowd.
12. 12GYLኦስ ካተመንታ አርድንታ ፍልተንደር የልድንካ፥ ኤድንከስ ዋልቃ ኤችታ ለይስ ባልሰኮ ካተመናርንካ ዉተደኬ፥ ደእስባብነረ እንደንታ ዋልቃ ይንችኖ ይንትዬ፥ እንደነረ ቡድኔ፥ ካተመናርከረ በድ ዎርሰና ኮትካ ክክን Ꮊቀኬ።BSBBSB: As He approached the town gate, He saw a dead man being carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the town was with her.
13. 13GYLጮይሰረ ኮትም ይ ሰዳንደትካ አጨርሶ፥ “ዛብካ Ꮊይ ኤፌ” ኮደር ጋይሴ።BSBBSB: When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said, “Do not weep.”
14. 14GYLእጵን ከደር ጋይሶ Ꮊቸንም ዎልሴ፥ ባልስባብ ኤድንከስ ዎእሰኬ፥ የሱሰረ፥ “የና ይንችን ማርንድኖ የና አምካ እታ የስም ጋይድቴ!” ጋይሴ።BSBBSB: Then He went up and touched the coffin, and those carrying it stood still. “Young man,” He said, “I tell you, get up!”
15. 15GYLደእስባብ ይንችነረ ሰንፐና ክታ Ꮊድንካ ጬክን ጋይሶ ዶቅሶ ኬዘረ የጄ። የሱሰረ ተዮ እንደንካንታ እምሴ።BSBBSB: And the dead man sat up and began to speak! Then Jesus gave him back to his mother.
16. 16GYLከት ሙደንም ጳስ የጅንካ “አንድር ማችባብ ሳብዘንካ ኤሰርሶ ኬዝድባብ ዎንታ ዎክያርንካ አምቴ”፥ “ሳብ ይንታ ዎርሰንም አቅስካንታ Ꮊቴ” ጋየረኮ ሳብም ጋለቸኬ።BSBBSB: A sense of awe swept over all of them, and they glorified God. “A great prophet has appeared among us!” they said. “God has visited His people!”
17. 17GYLኮነረ የሱሰታ ይተና ይሁዳ ፍጨን ሙደናርኬ የለናር ዶቅድን ፍጫ ሙደናር ኤስምሴ።BSBBSB: And the news about Jesus spread throughout Judea and all the surrounding region.
18. 18GYLዮሀንሰታ ካርንካ ጎርስምድባብከሰረ ከናከስም ሙዳ ዮሀንስካንታ ኬዘኬ። ኖየረ ከታ ዎክያርንካ ቃስተንን ኤልሶ፥BSBBSB: Then John’s disciples informed him about all these things.
19. 19GYL“ኖ Ꮊዴ ጋይምስባብ አቅስንባብና የኖ? አና አብኖንት ካርስተሮ? ጋይከቴ” ጋይሶ ጮይስ የሱሰደር ከትም ኦይቼ።BSBBSB: So John called two of his disciples and sent them to ask the Lord, “Are You the One who was to come, or should we look for someone else?”
20. 20GYLኤድንከሰረ የሱሰደር Ꮊድሰኮ “ስእስንባብ ዮሀንስ፥ ‘ኖ Ꮊዴ ጋይምስባብ አቅስንባብና የኖ? አና አብኖንት ካርስተሮ?’ ክትም ኦይስከተ ጋይሶ ዎም ኦይቼ” ጋይሰኬ።BSBBSB: When the men came to Jesus, they said, “John the Baptist sent us to ask, ‘Are You the One who was to come, or should we look for someone else?’”
21. 21GYLኮትᎺይካ የሱስ በድ ኤድንከስም ሰቅማርኬ Ꮊዝማርንካ ፋችሴ፥ ቱና አያንንከስመረ ዉችሴ። በድ አፍ ዝልንከስተረ አፍንም ሰድንግንዳ ይስሴ።BSBBSB: At that very hour Jesus healed many people of their diseases, afflictions, and evil spirits, and He gave sight to many who were blind.
22. 22GYLየሱስ ዮሀንሰደርንካ ክትምሶ Ꮊድባብከስመረ፥ “አይሰቶ የ ሰዳንደትምኬ የ ኤሰርሳንደትም ዮሀንስካንታ ኬዝከቴ፥ አፍ ዝልንከሰረ ሰተረኬ፥ ዱት ዎብንከሰረ ᎺላᎺል ሙክተረኬ፥ እጳ ሰቅምንክንባብከስ ኡርተረኬ፥ ቃም ቱንንከሰረ ኤሰርተረኬ፥ ደእስባብከሰረ አምተረኬ፥ ሪካየንባብከስካንተረ ክላ ኬዘና ሳባክምተረ፥BSBBSB: So He replied, “Go back and report to John what you have seen and heard: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor.
23. 23GYLእንካ አሜንምንካ Ꮊኤርዳክባብ ኤድ ሙደና አንጅምስባቤ” ኩን ከደር ጋይሴ።BSBBSB: Blessed is the one who does not fall away on account of Me.”
24. 24GYLዮሀንሰዘንካ ክትምስባብከስ አይሳንደታ ቡር የሱስ ዎርሰንካንታ ዮሀንስጎካ ኬዛ የጄ፥ የታ ቆቸናር Ꮊራ ሰድንካንተንት ዮሀንሰደር ዉተዳሬ? ዞገና ሶግዝድንደትም ሱንባቀኖ?BSBBSB: After John’s messengers had left, Jesus began to speak to the crowds about John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed swaying in the wind?
25. 25GYLአነረ Ꮊራ ሰድንካንተንት ዉተዳሬ? ላቅምሳን አፍለን ቆበርስባብ ኤድሞ? ላቅምሳን አፍለካ ሰግድባብኬ Ꮊላ ጋይሶ ዶቅድባብከስ ባንችንከስታ ኤሄናር ዶቅደኬ።BSBBSB: Otherwise, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? Look, those who wear elegant clothing and live in luxury are found in palaces.
26. 26GYLይና! Ꮊራ ሰድንካንተንት ዉተዳሬ? ሳብዘንካ ኤሰርሶ ኬዝድባብም ሰድንካንታ ዳቶ? ይዬ እታ የም ጋይድቴ፥ የ ሰድንካንታ ዉተዳንዳ ሳብዘንካ ኤሰርሶ ከዝድባብዘንካ ስገድባብሜ።BSBBSB: What then did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet.
27. 27GYLኩን ጋይምሰረ ክትካንታ ጻፍምስባብ ኖዬ፥ ጎግንም የስታ እር ኡርዝድባብ እስታ ክተንም ተይሶ አይድባብም የስታ እር ኦይትቴ።BSBBSB: This is the one about whom it is written: ‘Behold, I will send My messenger ahead of You, who will prepare Your way before You.’
28. 28GYL“እታ የም ጋይድቴ ማናዘንካ አጥርምስባብከስታ ዎክያርንካ ዮሀንሰዘንካ ስገድባብ ካዬ፥ ሳብ ባንችምናር ማቼ ሙደንዘንካ ቶግድባብ ዮሀንሰዘንካ ስገዴ” ኩንጋየሮ ኬዜ።BSBBSB: I tell you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John, yet even the least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.”
29. 29GYLኮም ኤሰርስባብከስ ሙደና፥ ቃረጭን ተችዝድባብከስ ዎራ ነጋክናና ዮሀንሰታ ስእስን ስእረሮ ሳብታ ፍክስና ጭል ማትንተን ኤሰኬ።BSBBSB: All the people who heard this, even the tax collectors, acknowledged God’s justice. For they had received the baptism of John.
30. 30GYLፈረሳዊያንንከስ ሙሴታ ህግንም ኤስዝድባብከስ ማቸ ዮሀንሰታ አንያር ስኤራክንካንታ ሳብ ከትም ጋይሳን ክተንም ግርሰኬ።BSBBSB: But the Pharisees and experts in the law rejected God’s purpose for themselves, because they had not been baptized by John.
31. 31GYLኮታዘንከረ የሱስ፥ ይና ኮ አጥርንከስም Ꮊረክስ ካምስቴ? Ꮊረመክ ካምዳ?BSBBSB: “To what, then, can I compare the men of this generation? What are they like?
32. 32GYLጋባ ካርዘን ዶቅሰኮ ክክ ኤልመረኮ፥ “አንዳለንም የካንታ ፉግዞቴ፥ የታ በይዳከቴ፥ የካንታ ሳችንም ሳችሶቴ፥ የታ ኤፋከቴ፥ ኩን ጋይድን ይንችንከስም ካምደኬ።BSBBSB: They are like children sitting in the marketplace and calling out to one another: ‘We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not weep.’
33. 33GYL“Ꮊራካንታ ጋይሴ ስእስንባብ ዮሀንስ እቻክሳ ዎይን ዎጭምን ዎጫክሳ ክት Ꮊድንካ ግምዛ ክታዘን ዶቅዴ ጋይሰቴ፥BSBBSB: For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, ‘He has a demon!’
34. 34GYLኤድ ይንችና እቸሮ ዎጨሮ Ꮊዴ፥ ኮና ኤችና እችምባብ፥ ዎጭምባብ፥ ቃረጭን ተችዝድባብከስተኬ ጎመንባብከስታ ሱሴ ክትም ጋይሰቴ።BSBBSB: The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Look at this glutton and drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’
35. 35GYLይና ኤጨና ገታ ማትንተና ዶፈን ኮትም ተይባብከስታ ባንግር ኤስምዴ”።BSBBSB: But wisdom is vindicated by all her children.”
36. 36GYLኮታ ቡር ፈረሳዊንንከሳርንካ ዋልቀና እችምን ይንካ ክክን እጅድንግንዳ የሱሰም ኤልሴ፥ ኖየረ ፈረሳዊያንታ ኤሪ አይሶ እችምካንታ ዶቅሴ።BSBBSB: Then one of the Pharisees invited Jesus to eat with him, and He entered the Pharisee’s house and reclined at the table.
37. 37GYLኮትኮ ካተመናር ዶቅድንዳ ዋልቃ ጎመክንዳ ኤተን የሱስ ፈረሳዊያንንደር ኤር እችምንዘን ክት ዶቅድንደትም ኤሰርሶ ዋልቃ አልብስጥሮስ ጋይምድን ሰይንዘንካ ኡርስምሳን ብልቃትካ ጮጭ ዎዝድንደትም ተይሶ Ꮊዴ፥BSBBSB: When a sinful woman from that town learned that Jesus was dining there, she brought an alabaster jar of perfume.
38. 38GYLየሱሰታ ቡርጎካ ክታ ዱትንታ ላማር ዎእሶ ኤፈሮ ክታ ዱትንም ይንታ ኤርመንካ ጫፍሰሮ ይንታ ማተንካ ሱተረ የጄ። ክታ ዱትንመረ ሶንቀሮ ዎዝድንደትም ሳይሴ።BSBBSB: As she stood behind Him at His feet weeping, she began to wet His feet with her tears and wipe them with her hair. Then she kissed His feet and anointed them with the perfume.
39. 39GYLኤልስባብ ፈረሳዊያንና ኮም ይ ሰዳንደትካ፥ “ኮና ኤችና ሳብዘንካ ኤሰርሶ ኬዝድባብ ይ ማቸስናና ክትም ዎልሳንደና ኤተንና Ꮊይ ኮት ማቸረ፥ ጉጅሰረ Ꮊራ ኤተን ኮት ማቸረ ኖ ኤስተርዶቆ፥ ና ጎመንዴ” ጋይሶ ይንታ ቡዳር ገቀርሴ።BSBBSB: When the Pharisee who had invited Jesus saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, He would know who this is and what kind of woman is touching Him—for she is a sinner!”
40. 40GYLየሱሰረ፥ “ስምኦኖ እ የስም ኬዝድንዳ ር ዶቅዴ” ጋይሴ። ኖየረ፥ “ኤስስንባቦ! እም ኬዝካ” ጋይሴ።BSBBSB: But Jesus answered him, “Simon, I have something to tell you.” “Tell me, Teacher,” he said.
41. 41GYLየሱሰረ “ዋልቃ ታልቅድባብዘንካ ብራ ታልቅስባብከስ ቃስተን ኤድ Ꮊቀኬ፥ ዋልቃባብና ዶንቅ ጨታ ጣገራ ብራ፥ ቃስትምስነረ አና ቃስተን ቦንደከ ታማ ጣገራ ብራ ክታዘን Ꮊቄ።BSBBSB: “Two men were debtors to a certain moneylender. One owed him five hundred denarii, and the other fifty.
42. 42GYLናግድንዳ ከትም ካይድንካ ባዘንም ከት ቃስተንን ካንታ ዛቅሴ። ይና ከት ቃስተን ታልቀንባብከሳርንካ ስክስሶ ክትም ሶልምድባብ Ꮊምነረ?”BSBBSB: When they were unable to repay him, he forgave both of them. Which one, then, will love him more?”
43. 43GYLስምኦነረ “በድ ባዘንም ክትካንታ ዛቅምስባቤ” ጋይሶ ማስሴ። የሱሰረ “ገታ ኬዛዬ” ክደር ጋይሴ።BSBBSB: “I suppose the one who was forgiven more,” Simon replied. “You have judged correctly,” Jesus said.
44. 44GYLኮታዘንከረ ኦስ ኤተንንደር ዋልን ጋይሶ ስምኦነደር፥ “ኮትኮ ኤተንን ሰዳዶቅዳ? እታ የስታ ኤር አርደዳቴ፥ የና እስታ ዱትታ ሎቃ ዎራ እማከዬ፥ ናማቼ እስታ ዱትን ይንታ ኤርመንካ ጫፍሰሮ ይንታ ማተንካ ሱቼ።BSBBSB: And turning toward the woman, He said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? When I entered your house, you did not give Me water for My feet, but she wet My feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.
45. 45GYLየና ቦድሶ እም ሶንቀረዮ አቦ ጋያከዬ፥ ናማቸ እ አርደዳንዘንካ የችሶ ዱትን እስታ ሶንቀሮ አቦ ጋይን ዛቃክዬ።BSBBSB: You did not greet Me with a kiss, but she has not stopped kissing My feet since I arrived.
46. 46GYLየና እስታ ማተንም ዛይትንካ ሳያከዬ፥ ናማቸ እስታ ዱትንም ዎዝድንደትካ ሳይሴ።BSBBSB: You did not anoint My head with oil, but she has anointed My feet with perfume.
47. 47GYLኮካንታ እታ የስም ጋይድቴ፥ አንድር እም ኮት ሶልምሳንጎካ በድ ጎመና ኮታ ላላ ጋይምቴ፥ መርሰካ ላላ ጋይምስባብ ማቼ ክት ሶልምድንዳ ቶክምኬ” ኩን ክደር ጋይሴ።BSBBSB: Therefore I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven, for she has loved much. But he who has been forgiven little loves little.”
48. 48GYLየሱሰረ ኤተንንም “የስታ ጎመና ላላ ጋይምቴ” ኮደር ጋይሴ።BSBBSB: Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”
49. 49GYLክትካ ክክን እችምዘን ዶቅድባብ ሶችንከሰረ፥ “ኮና ጎመንም ዎራ ላላ ጋይስዝድባብ ኖ Ꮊይራ?” ጋይሰኮ ክክ ክክ ከዝምሰኬ።BSBBSB: But those at the table began to say to themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?”
50. 50GYLየሱሰረ ኤተንንም፥ “የስታ አሜንና የስም አቅስቴ፥ ኡርመካ አይካ!” ኮትም ጋይሴ።BSBBSB: And Jesus told the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”
