3 HGLT क्योंकि{ यद्यपि} शरीर में चलते- फिरते हुए भी, हम शरीर के अनुसार युद्ध नहीं लड़ते। BSB BSB: For though we live in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh.

5 HGLT और परमेश्वर के ज्ञान के विरोध में स्वयं से उठ खड़ी होने वाली हर एक ऊँची बात को, और हर एक विचार को हम कैद करके मसीह का आज्ञाकारी बना देते हैं; BSB BSB: We demolish arguments and every presumption set up against the knowledge of God; and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
6 HGLT और जब तुम्हारा आज्ञा मानना पूर्ण हो जाए तो आज्ञा न मानने वाले हर एक काम का पलटा लेने को तैयार रहते हैं। BSB BSB: And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, as soon as your obedience is complete.
7 HGLT सब बातों पर उसी के अनुसार ध्यान दो जैसी वे दिखती हैं। यदि किसी व्यक्ति को अपने आप में इस बात का निश्चय है कि वह मसीह का है, तो वह अपने विषय में इस बात पर फिर से विचार करे: कि जैसे वह मसीह का{ है}, वैसे ही हम भी{ हैं}। BSB BSB: You are looking at outward appearances. If anyone is confident that he belongs to Christ, he should remind himself that we belong to Christ just as much as he does.
8 HGLT क्योंकि भले ही यदि मैं अपने उस अधिकार के विषय में आवश्यकता से अधिक घमंड करूँ, जिसे प्रभु ने तुम्हारा नाश करने के लिए नहीं, बल्कि निर्माण करने के लिए प्रदान किया है, तब भी मैं लज्जित नहीं होऊँगा, BSB BSB: For even if I boast somewhat excessively about the authority the Lord gave us for building you up rather than tearing you down, I will not be ashamed.
9 HGLT जिससे कि मेरे विषय में ऐसा प्रतीत न हो कि मानो मैं अपनी पत्रियों से तुम्हें डराता हूँ। BSB BSB: I do not want to seem to be trying to frighten you by my letters.
10 HGLT क्योंकि{ कोई} कहता है,“वास्तव में, उसकी पत्रियाँ भारी और प्रभावशाली{ हैं}, परन्तु उसकी शारीरिक उपस्थिति निर्बल{ है}, और उसका वक्तव्य तुच्छ है।” BSB BSB: For some say, “His letters are weighty and forceful, but his physical presence is unimpressive, and his speaking is of no account.”
11 HGLT ऐसा{ व्यक्ति} इस बात पर विचार करे, कि जैसे हम अनुपस्थित होकर भी पत्रियों के माध्यम से हमारे वचन में समाए हुए हैं, वैसे ही{ हम} उपस्थित होकर हमारे काम में भी समाए हुए हैं। BSB BSB: Such people should consider that what we are in our letters when absent, we will be in our actions when present.
12 HGLT क्योंकि हम अपनी ही बड़ाई करने वाले लोगों में से स्वयं को अलग करने या उनसे अपनी तुलना करने का साहस नहीं करते। परन्तु ये— स्वयं ही से स्वयं को मापने वाले और स्वयं ही से स्वयं की तुलना करने वाले— लोग समझ नहीं रखते। BSB BSB: We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they show their ignorance.
13 HGLT हालाँकि, हम उन बातों पर घमंड नहीं करेंगे जिनको मापा नहीं जा सकता, परन्तु उस सीमा के माप के अनुसार घमंड करेंगे जिसे परमेश्वर ने हमारे लिए ठहराया है, अर्थात वह माप जो तुम तक भी पहुँच गया है। BSB BSB: We, however, will not boast beyond our limits, but only within the field of influence that God has assigned to us—a field that reaches even to you.
14 HGLT क्योंकि हम अपने आप को इतना बढ़ाना नहीं चाहते, कि मानो हम तुम तक तो पहुँचे ही नहीं, क्योंकि हम मसीह का सुसमाचार लेकर तुम तक आ गए हैं, BSB BSB: We are not overstepping our bounds, as if we had not come to you. Indeed, we were the first to reach you with the gospel of Christ.
15 HGLT तो दूसरों के परिश्रम में मापी नहीं जा सकने वाली बातों पर घमंड नहीं करते, परन्तु इस बात की आशा रखते हैं कि{ जैसे- जैसे} तुम्हारा विश्वास बढ़े, वैसे- वैसे हमारी बहुतायत की सीमा के अनुसार तुम में बढ़ते जाएँ BSB BSB: Neither do we boast beyond our limits in the labors of others. But we hope that as your faith increases, our area of influence among you will greatly increase as well,
16 HGLT कि तुमसे आगे के{ स्थानों} में सुसमाचार का प्रचार करें— कि दूसरे लोगों के क्षेत्र में किए गए कामों पर घमंड न करें। BSB BSB: so that we can preach the gospel in the regions beyond you. Then we will not be boasting in the work already done in another man’s territory.
17 HGLT परन्तु“जो घमंड करे, वह प्रभु पर घमंड करे।” BSB BSB: Rather, “Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.”
18 HGLT क्योंकि जो स्वयं ही की बड़ाई करता है उसकी अनुशंसा नहीं की जाएगी, परन्तु उसी की अनुशंसा की जाएगी जिसकी बड़ाई प्रभु करता है। BSB BSB: For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.
