2 HGLT क्योंकि वास्तव में, इस{ घर} में हम कराहते हैं, और लालसा करते हैं कि अपने उस निवास को पहन लें{ जो} स्वर्ग से है, BSB BSB: For in this tent we groan, longing to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling,
3 HGLT और यदि सच में उसे पहन भी लें, तो नंगे न पाए जाएँ। BSB BSB: because when we are clothed, we will not be found naked.
4 HGLT क्योंकि वास्तव में, हम लोग जो इस डेरे में हैं, बोझिल होकर कराहते हैं, जिस कारण से हम नंगे होना नहीं चाहते, परन्तु पूर्ण वस्त्र धारण करना चाहते हैं ताकि जो नश्वर है उसे जीवन के द्वारा निगल लिया जाए। BSB BSB: For while we are in this tent, we groan under our burdens, because we do not wish to be unclothed but clothed, so that our mortality may be swallowed up by life.
5 HGLT अब जिसने हमें इस बात के लिए तैयार किया वह परमेश्वर ही{ है}, अर्थात् वही है जिसने हमें आत्मा का बयाना दिया है। BSB BSB: And it is God who has prepared us for this very purpose and has given us the Spirit as a pledge of what is to come.
6 HGLT इसलिए, हम सर्वदा हियाव बांधे रहते हैं और यह जानते हैं कि शरीर में घर पर होकर, हम प्रभु से दूर हैं— BSB BSB: Therefore we are always confident, although we know that while we are at home in the body, we are away from the Lord.
7 HGLT क्योंकि हम देखने के द्वारा नहीं, परन्तु विश्वास के द्वारा चलते हैं। BSB BSB: For we walk by faith, not by sight.
9 HGLT और इसलिए, हम चाहे घर पर हों या दूर हों, उसे भाते रहने की कामना करते हैं। BSB BSB: So we aspire to please Him, whether we are at home in this body or away from it.
10 HGLT क्योंकि हम सब का मसीह के न्याय आसन के सामने प्रकट होना आवश्यक है, ताकि हर एक व्यक्ति शरीर के द्वारा{ किए गए कामों का} बदला पाए, चाहें वे अच्छे हों या बुरे हों। BSB BSB: For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive his due for the things done in the body, whether good or bad.
11 HGLT इसलिए, हम प्रभु का भय मानते हुए, मनुष्यों को समझाते हैं। परन्तु हमें परमेश्वर के द्वारा स्पष्ट रूप से पहचान लिया गया है, और मैं यह आशा भी करता हूँ कि हम तुम्हारे विवेक से भी पहचाने जाएँ। BSB BSB: Therefore, since we know what it means to fear the Lord, we try to persuade men. What we are is clear to God, and I hope it is clear to your conscience as well.
12 HGLT हम तुम्हारे सामने फिर से अपनी बड़ाई नहीं करते, परन्तु हमारे विषय में तुम्हें घमंड करने का अवसर देते हैं, ताकि तुम्हें मन पर नहीं, परन्तु रूप पर घमंड करने वालों के लिए{ उत्तर} मिले। BSB BSB: We are not commending ourselves to you again. Instead, we are giving you an occasion to be proud of us, so that you can answer those who take pride in appearances rather than in the heart.
13 HGLT क्योंकि यदि हम पागल हो गए हैं, तो{ यह} परमेश्वर के लिए है; यदि हम स्वस्थ चित्त वाले हैं, तो{ यह} तुम्हारे लिए है। BSB BSB: If we are out of our mind, it is for God; if we are of sound mind, it is for you.
14 HGLT क्योंकि इस बात की परख के लिए मसीह का प्रेम हमें वश में करता है: कि सब लोगों के निमित्त वह एक व्यक्ति मरा; इसलिए, सब मर गए। BSB BSB: For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that One died for all, therefore all died.
15 HGLT और वह सब के लिए मरा ताकि जो लोग जीवित हैं वे आगे को अपने लिए नहीं, बल्कि उसके लिए जीवन व्यतीत करें जो उनके लिए मरा और जी उठा है। BSB BSB: And He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died for them and was raised again.
16 HGLT इसलिए, अब से हम किसी को शरीर के अनुसार नहीं समझेंगे। भले ही हमने मसीह को शरीर के अनुसार माना, तब पर भी अब से हम उसे{ वैसा} नहीं मानेंगे। BSB BSB: So from now on we regard no one according to the flesh. Although we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.
17 HGLT इसलिए, यदि कोई व्यक्ति मसीह में{ है}, तो{ वह} एक नयी सृष्टि है। पुरानी बातें बीत गई हैं; देखो, नयी बातें आ गई हैं। BSB BSB: Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come!
20 HGLT इसलिए, हम मसीह की ओर से राजदूत हैं, कि मानो परमेश्वर से हमारे माध्यम से विनती की जाती है: हम भी मसीह की ओर से{ तुमसे} निवेदन करते हैं कि:“परमेश्वर से मेलमिलाप कर लो!” BSB BSB: Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ: Be reconciled to God.
