2 HGLT और जब पतरस यरूशलेम में आया, तो जो लोग खतना किए हुओं में से थे वे उससे विवाद करने लगे, BSB BSB: So when Peter went up to Jerusalem, the circumcised believers took issue with him

8 HGLT परन्तु मैंने कहा,‘किसी भी तरीके से नहीं, प्रभु; क्योंकि अपवित्र या अशुद्ध वस्तु मेरे मुँह में कभी नहीं गई।’ BSB BSB: ‘No, Lord,’ I said, ‘for nothing impure or unclean has ever entered my mouth.’
9 HGLT परन्तु उस आवाज ने दूसरी{ बार} आकाश से उत्तर दिया,‘जिसे परमेश्वर ने शुद्ध किया है, तू उसे अपवित्र मत बना!’ BSB BSB: But the voice spoke from heaven a second time, ‘Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.’
10 HGLT और तीन बार ऐसा हुआ, और फिर से सब कुछ आसमान में खींच लिया गया। BSB BSB: This happened three times, and everything was drawn back up into heaven.
11 HGLT और देखो, तुरन्त कैसरिया से मेरे पास भेजे गए तीन मनुष्य उस घर पर जिसमें हम थे, आ खड़े हुए। BSB BSB: Just then three men sent to me from Caesarea stopped at the house where I was staying.

14 HGLT वह तुझ से ऐसी बातें कहेगा जिनके द्वारा तू— अर्थात् तू और तेरा सारा घराना उद्धार पाएगा।’ BSB BSB: He will convey to you a message by which you and all your household will be saved.’
15 HGLT परन्तु जब मैंने बोलना आरम्भ किया, तो उन पर पवित्र आत्मा वैसे ही उतरा, जैसे आरम्भ में हम पर भी उतरा था। BSB BSB: As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, just as He had fallen upon us at the beginning.
16 HGLT तब मुझे प्रभु का वचन स्मरण आया, कि कैसे वह कहता था,‘यूहन्ना ने वास्तव में पानी से बपतिस्मा दिया; परन्तु तुम पवित्र आत्मा में बपतिस्मा पाओगे।’ BSB BSB: Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’
17 HGLT इस कारण, यदि परमेश्वर ने उन्हें वही दान दिया जैसा हम प्रभु यीशु मसीह पर विश्वास करने वालों को भी दिया है, तो परमेश्वर को रोक पाने में सक्षम{ होने वाला} मैं कौन था?” BSB BSB: So if God gave them the same gift He gave us who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to hinder the work of God?”
18 HGLT और इन बातों को सुनकर, वे चुप हो गए और यह कहकर परमेश्वर की महिमा की,“फिर तो परमेश्वर ने अन्यजातियों को भी जीवन के लिए मन फिराव प्रदान किया है।” BSB BSB: When they heard this, they had no further objections, and they glorified God, saying, “So then, God has granted even the Gentiles repentance unto life.”

21 HGLT और प्रभु का हाथ उनके साथ था; और विश्वास करने वालों की एक बड़ी संख्या, प्रभु की ओर फिरी। BSB BSB: The hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord.
22 HGLT और उनके विषय में समाचार उस कलीसिया के कानों तक पहुँचा जो यरूशलेम में थी, और उन्होंने बरनबास को अन्ताकिया में भेजा, BSB BSB: When news of this reached the ears of the church in Jerusalem, they sent Barnabas to Antioch.

So for a full year they met together with the church and taught large numbers of people. The disciples were first called Christians at Antioch.
27 HGLT अब उन दिनों में भविष्यद्वक्ता यरूशलेम से नीचे अन्ताकिया में आए। BSB BSB: In those days some prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch.

(This happened under Claudius.)
