1 HGLT इसलिये, हमें डरना चाहिए कि कहीं ऐसा न हो कि उसके विश्राम में प्रवेश करने की प्रतिज्ञा बाकी रहने पर भी तुममें से कोई{ इसे प्राप्त करने में} असफल हो जाए। BSB BSB: Therefore, while the promise of entering His rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be deemed to have fallen short of it.
2 HGLT क्योंकि जैसा शुभ संदेश उनको सुनाया गया है वैसा ही{ हम को} भी सुनाया गया है। परन्तु उस संदेश के सुनने से उन्हें कुछ लाभ न हुआ, और वे{ उसे} सुनने वालों के साथ विश्वास में नहीं जुड़े। BSB BSB: For we also received the good news just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, since they did not share the faith of those who comprehended it.
3 HGLT क्योंकि हम, विश्वास करने वाले लोग तो विश्राम में प्रवेश करते हैं, जैसा कि उसने कहा था कि,“तब मैंने अपने क्रोध में शपथ खाई,‘... क्या वे मेरे विश्राम में प्रवेश करेंगे!’” यद्यपि उसके कार्य तो जगत की नींव पड़ने से ही समाप्त हो गये थे। BSB BSB: Now we who have believed enter that rest. As for the others, it is just as God has said: “So I swore on oath in My anger, ‘They shall never enter My rest.’” And yet His works have been finished since the foundation of the world.
4 HGLT क्योंकि उसने सातवें{ दिन} के विषय में कहीं इस प्रकार कहा है:“और परमेश्वर ने अपने सब कामों से सातवें दिन विश्राम किया।” BSB BSB: For somewhere He has spoken about the seventh day in this manner: “And on the seventh day God rested from all His works.”
5 HGLT और फिर इस{ अनुच्छेद} में कहा कि,“... क्या वे मेरे विश्राम में प्रवेश करेंगे!” BSB BSB: And again, as He says in the passage above: “They shall never enter My rest.”
6 HGLT इसलिये, जब कि कितनों के लिये उसमें प्रवेश करना बाकी है, और जिन्होंने पहले ही{ उन पर} शुभ संदेश का प्रचार कर दिया था, उन्होंने अपनी अनाज्ञाकारिता के कारण प्रवेश नहीं किया, BSB BSB: Since, then, it remains for some to enter His rest, and since those who formerly heard the good news did not enter because of their disobedience,

10 HGLT क्योंकि जो उसके विश्राम में प्रवेश कर चुका है, उसने भी अपने कामों से विश्राम ले लिया है, जैसा परमेश्वर ने अपने{ कामों से किया}। BSB BSB: For whoever enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from His.
11 HGLT इसलिये, आओ हम उस विश्राम में प्रवेश करने के लिये आतुर रहें, ताकि कोई भी इस अनाज्ञाकारिता के समान उदाहरण में न गिर पड़े। BSB BSB: Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following the same pattern of disobedience.
12 HGLT क्योंकि परमेश्वर का वचन जीवित, और सक्रिय, और हर एक दोधारी तलवार से भी बहुत तेज है, और प्राण एवं आत्मा को, गाँठ- गाँठ और गूदे- गूदे दोनों को, अलग करके आर- पार छेदता है, और हृदय के विचारों तथा मंशाओं को परखने में सक्षम है। BSB BSB: For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
13 HGLT और कोई प्राणी उससे छिपा नहीं है। इसके बजाय, सब वस्तुएँ उसकी आँखों के सामने खुली और प्रकट{ हैं} जिसके पास हमारा वचन{ है}। BSB BSB: Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight; everything is uncovered and exposed before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
14 HGLT इसलिये, हमारे पास एक महान् महायाजक है{ जो} स्वर्गों से होकर गुजरा है, अर्थात् परमेश्वर का पुत्र यीशु, तो आओ, हम अपने अंगीकार को दृढ़ता से थामे रहें। BSB BSB: Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we profess.
16 HGLT इसलिये आओ, हम विश्वास के साथ अनुग्रह के सिंहासन की ओर बढ़ें ताकि हम दया प्राप्त कर सकें और समय पर सहायता के लिये अनुग्रह पा सकें। BSB BSB: Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
