11 HGLT उसी समय प्रभु का एक स्वर्गदूत, धूप की वेदी की दाहिनी ओर खड़ा हुआ उसको दिखाई दिया। BSB BSB: Just then an angel of the Lord appeared to Zechariah, standing at the right side of the altar of incense.
12 HGLT और जब उसने उसे देखा तो जकर्याह घबरा गया, और उस पर भय छा गया। BSB BSB: When Zechariah saw him, he was startled and gripped with fear.

44 HGLT क्योंकि देख, जैसे ही तेरे नमस्कार की ध्वनि मेरे कानों में पड़ी, वैसे ही जो बच्चा मेरे गर्भ में है वह आनन्द से उछल पड़ा। BSB BSB: For as soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy.
45 HGLT और धन्य है वह जिसने विश्वास किया कि उन बातों की पूर्ति होगी जो प्रभु की ओर से उससे कही गई थीं।” BSB BSB: Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord’s word to her will be fulfilled.”
47 HGLT और मेरी आत्मा मेरे उद्धार करनेवाले परमेश्वर में आनन्दित हुई। BSB BSB: and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior!
49 HGLT क्योंकि उस शक्तिमान ने मेरे लिये बड़े- बड़े काम किए हैं, और उसका नाम पवित्र है। BSB BSB: For the Mighty One has done great things for me. Holy is His name.
50 HGLT और उसकी दया पीढ़ी से पीढ़ी तक उन पर बनी रहती है जो उससे डरते हैं। BSB BSB: His mercy extends to those who fear Him, from generation to generation.
51 HGLT उसने अपनी बाँहों से सामर्थी काम किए हैं; और जो अपने हृदयों के विचारों में घमण्ड करते हैं उसने उनको तितर- बितर कर दिया है। BSB BSB: He has performed mighty deeds with His arm; He has scattered those who are proud in the thoughts of their hearts.
52 HGLT उसने शासकों को उनके सिंहासनों से नीचे गिरा दिया है और उसने दीनों को ऊँचा किया है। BSB BSB: He has brought down rulers from their thrones, but has exalted the humble.
53 HGLT उसने भूखों को अच्छी वस्तुओं से तृप्त किया, परन्तु धनवानों को उसने खाली हाथ निकाल दिया है। BSB BSB: He has filled the hungry with good things, but has sent the rich away empty.
54 HGLT उसने अपने सेवक इस्राएल की सहायता की, कि अपनी उस दया को स्मरण करे, BSB BSB: He has helped His servant Israel, remembering to be merciful,
55 HGLT जैसा उसने हमारे पूर्वजों से कहा था— जो अब्राहम और उसके वंश पर सदा बनी रहेगी।” BSB BSB: as He promised to our fathers, to Abraham and his descendants forever.”
56 HGLT और मरियम लगभग तीन महीने उसके साथ रही, और फिर अपने घर लौट गई। BSB BSB: Mary stayed with Elizabeth for about three months and then returned home.
57 HGLT और एलीशिबा के लिए उसके जनने का समय पूरा हो गया था, और उसने एक पुत्र को जन्म दिया। BSB BSB: When the time came for Elizabeth to have her child, she gave birth to a son.

61 HGLT परन्तु उन्होंने उससे कहा,“तेरे कुटुम्ब में से ऐसा कोई भी नहीं है जिसे इस नाम से पुकारा गया हो।” BSB BSB: They said to her, “There is no one among your relatives who bears this name.”
62 HGLT तब उन्होंने उसके पिता की ओर ऐसे संकेत किए कि वह उसे क्या पुकारना चाहता है। BSB BSB: So they made signs to his father to find out what he wanted to name the child.
63 HGLT और लिखने की एक पटिया मँगवाकर, उसने लिखकर, बता दिया,“उसका नाम यूहन्ना है।” और वे सभी विस्मित हो गए थे। BSB BSB: Zechariah asked for a tablet and wrote, “His name is John.” And they were all amazed.
64 HGLT तब तुरन्त ही उसका मुँह खुल गया और उसकी जीभ भी, और परमेश्वर को धन्य कहते हुए, वह बोलने लगा। BSB BSB: Immediately Zechariah’s mouth was opened and his tongue was released, and he began to speak, praising God.
65 HGLT और उन सब पर भय छा गया जो उनके आसपास रहते थे, और इन सब बातों की चर्चा यहूदिया के सारे पहाड़ी देश में की जा रही थी। BSB BSB: All their neighbors were filled with awe, and people throughout the hill country of Judea were talking about these events.
66 HGLT और जिन सब ने सुना उन्होंने अपने हृदयों में इसे यह कहकर रख लिया,“यह बालक कैसा होगा?” क्योंकि सचमुच प्रभु का हाथ उसके साथ था। BSB BSB: And all who heard this wondered in their hearts and asked, “What then will this child become?” For the Lord’s hand was with him.

77 HGLT कि उनके पापों की क्षमा के द्वारा उसके लोगों को उद्धार का ज्ञान दे, BSB BSB: to give to His people the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins,
78 HGLT हमारे परमेश्वर की कोमल दया के कारण, जिसके द्वारा ऊपर से हम पर भोर का प्रकाश अवतरित होगा, BSB BSB: because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the Dawn will visit us from on high,
79 HGLT कि उन पर चमके जो अंधकार और मृत्यु की छाया में बैठे हुए हैं; कि शांति के पथ पर हमारे पाँवों का मार्गदर्शन करे।” BSB BSB: to shine on those who live in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.”
80 HGLT और वह बालक बढ़ रहा था और आत्मा में बलवन्त हो रहा था, और इस्राएल के लोगों पर प्रकट होने के दिन तक वह जंगलों में रहा करता था। BSB BSB: And the child grew and became strong in spirit; and he lived in the wilderness until the time of his public appearance to Israel.
