1और ऐसा हुआ कि भीड़ उसको दबा रही थी और परमेश्वर का वचन सुन रही थी, और वह गन्नेसरत की झील के किनारे पर खड़ा हुआ था।On one occasion, while Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret with the crowd pressing in on Him to hear the word of God,

2और उसने झील के किनारे पर दो नावों को खड़े देखा, परन्तु मछुआरे उन पर से उतर चुके थे और अपने जालों को धो रहे थे।He saw two boats at the edge of the lake. The fishermen had left them and were washing their nets.

And sitting down, He taught the people from the boat.

4तब जब उसने बोलना बन्द कर दिया, तो उसने शमौन से कहा,“गहरे पानी में चल और मछलियाँ पकड़ने के लिये अपने जालों को डाल।”When Jesus had finished speaking, He said to Simon, “Put out into deep water and let down your nets for a catch.”

5परन्तु उत्तर देते हुए, शमौन ने कहा,“हे स्वामी, हमने पूरी रात मेहनत की और कुछ भी नहीं पकड़ा; परन्तु तेरी बात पर, मैं जालों को डालूँगा।”“Master,” Simon replied, “we have worked hard all night without catching anything. But because You say so, I will let down the nets.”

6और जब उन्होंने ऐसा किया, तो उन्होंने बहुत बड़ी संख्या में मछलियाँ पकड़ीं, और उनके जाल फटने लगे।When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to tear.

7और उन्होंने दूसरी नाव पर सवार अपने साथियों को संकेत किया कि वे आकर उनकी सहायता करें, और उन्होंने आकर दोनों नावों को यहाँ तक भर लिया, कि वे डूबने लगीं।So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.

8परन्तु जब शमौन पतरस ने यह देखा, तो वह यीशु के पाँवों पर यह कहते हुए गिर पड़ा,“हे प्रभु, मेरे पास से चला जा, क्योंकि मैं एक पापी मनुष्य हूँ!”When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees. “Go away from me, Lord,” he said, “for I am a sinful man.”

10और वैसे ही याकूब और यूहन्ना को भी, जो जब्दी के पुत्र थे, और जो शमौन के साथ सहभागी थे और यीशु ने शमौन से कहा,“मत डर; अब से तू मनुष्यों को पकड़ा करेगा।”and so were his partners James and John, the sons of Zebedee. “Do not be afraid,” Jesus said to Simon. “From now on you will catch men.”

11और जब वे अपनी नावों को स्थल पर ले आए, तो उन्होंने सब कुछ छोड़ दिया और उसके पीछे हो लिए।And when they had brought their boats ashore, they left everything and followed Him.

12और ऐसा हुआ कि वह किसी नगर में था, और देखो, एक मनुष्य कोढ़ से भरा हुआ था। और यीशु को देखकर, वह अपने मुँह के बल गिरा, और उससे यह कहकर याचना करने लगा,“हे प्रभु, यदि तेरी इच्छा हो, तो तू मुझे शुद्ध कर सकता है।”While Jesus was in one of the towns, a man came along who was covered with leprosy. When he saw Jesus, he fell facedown and begged Him, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”

13और उसने अपना हाथ बढ़ाया और उसे यह कहकर छू लिया,“मेरी यह इच्छा है। शुद्ध हो जा।” और तुरन्त ही उस पर से कोढ़ जाता रहा।Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” He said. “Be clean!” And immediately the leprosy left him.

14और उसने उसे किसी से भी न कहने का आदेश दिया, परन्तु,“जा, और अपने आपको याजक को दिखा, और जैसा मूसा ने आदेश दिया है अपने शुद्ध होने के विषय में बलिदान चढ़ा, ताकि उन पर गवाही हो।”“Do not tell anyone,” Jesus instructed him. “But go, show yourself to the priest and present the offering Moses prescribed for your cleansing, as a testimony to them.”

15परन्तु उसके बारे में चर्चा और भी फैलती गई, और बड़ी भीड़ एक साथ उसकी सुनने के लिये और अपनी बीमारियों से चंगी होने के लिये आई।But the news about Jesus spread all the more, and great crowds came to hear Him and to be healed of their sicknesses.

16परन्तु वह निकलकर निर्जन स्थानों में चला गया और प्रार्थना करने लगा।Yet He frequently withdrew to the wilderness to pray.

17और ऐसा हुआ कि उस दिनों में से एक में वह शिक्षा दे रहा था, और फरीसी और व्यवस्थापक वहाँ बैठे हुए थे जो गलील और यहूदिया के हर एक गाँव से और यरूशलेम से आए थे, और चंगा करने के लिये प्रभु की ओर से सामर्थ्य उसके साथ थी।One day Jesus was teaching, and the Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there. People had come from Jerusalem and from every village of Galilee and Judea, and the power of the Lord was present for Him to heal the sick.

18और देखो, कई लोग एक मनुष्य को खाट पर लेकर आए जो लकवे से ग्रस्त था, और वे उसे भीतर ले जाने और यीशु के सामने रखने का उपाय ढूँढ़ रहे थे।Just then some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a mat. They tried to bring him inside to set him before Jesus,

19और भीड़ के कारण उसे भीतर ले जाने का उपाय न मिलने पर, वे छत पर चढ़ गए और खपरैल हटाकर उसे खाट समेत यीशु के सामने बीच में उतार दिया।but they could not find a way through the crowd. So they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus.

20और उनके विश्वास को देखकर, उसने कहा,“हे मनुष्य, तेरे पापों से तुझे क्षमा कर दिया गया है।”When Jesus saw their faith, He said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven.”

21और शास्त्रियों और फरीसियों ने यह कहकर विवाद करना आरम्भ कर दिया,“यह कौन है जो परमेश्वर की निन्दा करता है? केवल परमेश्वर के अलावा पापों को क्षमा करने में कौन सक्षम है?”But the scribes and Pharisees began thinking to themselves, “Who is this man who speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”

22परन्तु यीशु ने, उनके विचारों को जानकर, उत्तर देते हुए उनसे कहा,“तुम अपने- अपने हृदयों में विवाद क्यों कर रहे हो?Knowing what they were thinking, Jesus replied, “Why are you thinking these things in your hearts?

23सहज क्या है, क्या यह कहना,‘तेरे पापों से तुझे क्षमा कर दिया गया है,’ या यह कहना,‘उठ जा और चल फिर?’Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’?

24परन्तु इसलिए कि तुम जान लो कि मनुष्य के पुत्र के पास पृथ्वी पर पापों को क्षमा करने का अधिकार भी है,”— उसने उस व्यक्ति से कहा जो लकवे से ग्रस्त था,“मैं तुझ से कहता हूँ, उठ जा, और अपनी खाट उठा ले, और अपने घर को चला जा।”But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on the earth to forgive sins…” He said to the paralytic, “I tell you, get up, pick up your mat, and go home.”

25और वह तुरन्त ही उनके सामने उठ खड़ा हुआ, और जिस पर वह लेटा हुआ था उसे उठा लिया, और परमेश्वर की प्रशंसा करता हुआ अपने घर को चला गया।And immediately the man stood up before them, took what he had been lying on, and went home glorifying God.

26और वे सब स्तब्ध रह गए और परमेश्वर की प्रशंसा करने लगे, और वे बहुत भयभीत हो गए थे, और कहने लगे,“आज हम ने अनोखी बातें देखी हैं।”Everyone was taken with amazement and glorified God. They were filled with awe and said, “We have seen remarkable things today.”

27और इन बातों के पश्चात, वह बाहर निकला और लेवी नाम के एक चुंगी लेनेवाले को चुंगी की चौकी पर बैठे देखा, और उसने उससे कहा,“मेरे पीछे हो ले।”After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at the tax booth. “Follow Me,” He told him,

28और सब कुछ पीछे छोड़कर, वह उठ खड़ा हुआ और उसका अनुसरण करना आरम्भ कर दिया।and Levi got up, left everything, and followed Him.

29और लेवी ने अपने घर में उसके लिये एक बड़ा भोज दिया, और वहाँ पर चुंगी लेनेवालों की और अन्य लोगों की एक बड़ी भीड़ थी, जो उनके साथ भोजन करने बैठे थे।Then Levi hosted a great banquet for Jesus at his house. A large crowd of tax collectors was there, along with others who were eating with them.

30परन्तु फरीसी और उनके शास्त्री उसके चेलों से, यह कहकर शिकायत कर रहे थे,“तुम चुंगी लेनेवालों और पापियों के साथ क्यों खाते और पीते हो?”But the Pharisees and their scribes complained to Jesus’ disciples, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”

31और उत्तर देते हुए, यीशु ने उनसे कहा,“जो लोग भले- चंगे हैं उनको वैद्य की आवश्यकता नहीं है, परन्तु उनको है जो रोगी हैं।Jesus answered, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.

32मैं धर्मियों को बुलाने के लिए नहीं, परन्तु पापियों को पश्चाताप कराने के लिये आया हूँ।”I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”

33फिर उन्होंने उससे कहा,“यूहन्ना के चेले तो अक्सर उपवास रखते और प्रार्थना करते हैं, और वैसे ही फरीसियों के भी। परन्तु तेरे वाले तो खाते और पीते हैं।”Then they said to Him, “John’s disciples and those of the Pharisees frequently fast and pray, but Yours keep on eating and drinking.”

34तब उसने उनसे कहा,“जब तक दूल्हा उनके साथ है तब तक तुम दुल्हन के कक्ष के पुत्रों से उपवास कराने में सक्षम नहीं होते हो, क्या तुम होते हो?Jesus replied, “Can you make the guests of the bridegroom fast while He is with them?

35परन्तु सचमुच ऐसे दिन भी आएँगे जब दूल्हे को उनसे अलग कर दिया जाएगा। तब, उन दिनों में, वे उपवास करेंगे।”But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast.”

36तब उसने उसने एक दृष्टान्त भी कहा।“कोई भी मनुष्य, किसी नए कपड़े में से टुकड़ा काटकर, उसे पुराने कपड़े में नहीं सिल देता। वरना नया फट जाएगा, और वह पुराना वाला भी उससे मेल नहीं खाएगा जो नए वाले में से है।He also told them a parable: “No one tears a piece of cloth from a new garment and sews it on an old one. If he does, he will tear the new garment as well, and the patch from the new will not match the old.

37और कोई भी नया दाखरस पुरानी मशकों में नहीं भरता। वरना नया दाखरस मशकों को फाड़ देगा, और वह बह जाएगा, और वे मशकें भी नष्ट हो जाएँगी।And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the new wine will burst the skins, the wine will spill, and the wineskins will be ruined.

38परन्तु उस व्यक्ति को नया दाखरस नई मशकों में भरना चाहिये।Instead, new wine is poured into new wineskins.

39कोई भी, पुराना पीने के पश्चात, नया नहीं माँगता, क्योंकि वह कहता है,‘पुराना ही अच्छा है।’”And no one after drinking old wine wants new, for he says, ‘The old is better.’”
