3 HGLT खानेवाला न खानेवाले को तुच्छ न जाने, और न खानेवाला खानेवाले का न्याय न करे। क्योंकि परमेश्वर ने उसे स्वीकार किया है। BSB BSB: The one who eats everything must not belittle the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted him.
4 HGLT तू कौन है, जो उस घरेलू सेवक का न्याय करता है जो दूसरे से सम्बन्धित है? वह तो अपने स्वामी के लिये ही स्थिर रहता या गिरता है। परन्तु उसे स्थिर किया जाएगा, क्योंकि प्रभु उसे स्थिर करने में सक्षम है। BSB BSB: Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
6 HGLT जो किसी दिन को मानता है, वह उसे प्रभु के लिये मानता है; और जो खाता है, प्रभु के लिये खाता है, क्योंकि वह परमेश्वर को धन्यवाद देता है, और जो नहीं खाता, प्रभु के लिये नहीं खाता; वह भी परमेश्वर को धन्यवाद देता है। BSB BSB: He who observes a special day does so to the Lord; he who eats does so to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who abstains does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God.
7 HGLT क्योंकि हम में से कोई भी स्वयं के लिये जीवित नहीं है, और कोई भी स्वयं के लिये नहीं मरता। BSB BSB: For none of us lives to himself alone, and none of us dies to himself alone.
8 HGLT क्योंकि यदि हम जीवित हैं, तो हम प्रभु के लिये जीवित हैं, और यदि मरते हैं, तो हम प्रभु के लिये मरते हैं। इसलिए, चाहें हम जीवित रहें या चाहें हम मर जाएँ, हम प्रभु के हैं। BSB BSB: If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.

10 HGLT परन्तु तू, तू क्यों अपने भाई का न्याय करता है? और तू भी, तू क्यों अपने भाई को तुच्छ जानता है? क्योंकि हम सब परमेश्वर के न्याय सिंहासन के सामने अपने आप को प्रस्तुत करेंगे। BSB BSB: Why, then, do you judge your brother? Or why do you belittle your brother? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat.
11 HGLT क्योंकि ऐसा लिखा है,“‘मैं जो जीवित हूँ,’ प्रभु कहता है,‘मेरे लिये हर घुटना टिकेगा, और हर जीभ परमेश्वर का अंगीकार करेगी।’” BSB BSB: It is written: “As surely as I live, says the Lord, every knee will bow before Me; every tongue will confess to God.”
12 HGLT इसलिए फिर, हम में से हर एक स्वयं के विषय में परमेश्वर को लेखा देगा। BSB BSB: So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.
13 HGLT इसलिए, आगे को हम एक दूसरे का न्याय न करें, परन्तु इसके बजाय इस बात का न्याय करें: कि भाई के लिये कोई ठोकर न रखें या जाल न बिछाएँ। BSB BSB: Therefore let us stop judging one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother’s way.
15 HGLT क्योंकि यदि तेरे भोजन के कारण तेरे भाई को ठेस लगे, तो अब तू प्रेम के अनुसार नहीं चलता। जिसके लिये मसीह मरा उसे तू अपने भोजन से नाश मत कर। BSB BSB: If your brother is distressed by what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy your brother, for whom Christ died.
16 HGLT इसलिए अपनी भलाई की निन्दा होने की अनुमति मत दो। BSB BSB: Do not allow what you consider good, then, to be spoken of as evil.
17 HGLT क्योंकि परमेश्वर का राज्य खाना और पीना नहीं है, परन्तु पवित्र आत्मा में धार्मिकता और शान्ति और आनन्द है। BSB BSB: For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
18 HGLT क्योंकि जो कोई इस रीति से मसीह की सेवा करता{ है}, वह परमेश्वर को भाता है और मनुष्यों के द्वारा स्वीकार किया जाता है। BSB BSB: For whoever serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by men.
19 HGLT इसलिए फिर, आओ हम शान्ति की बातों का और एक दूसरे के निर्माण की बातों का पीछा करें। BSB BSB: So then, let us pursue what leads to peace and to mutual edification.
20 HGLT भोजन के लिये परमेश्वर का काम न बिगाड़ो। सब वस्तुएँ शुद्ध तो{ हैं}, परन्तु{ यह} उस मनुष्य के लिये बुरा है, जिसे खाने के द्वारा ठोकर लगती है। BSB BSB: Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a man to let his eating be a stumbling block.
21 HGLT अच्छा तो{ यह है} कि तू न तो मांस खाना, और न दाखमधु पीना, और न ही{ कोई ऐसी वस्तु} जिसके द्वारा तेरा भाई ठोकर खाएया रुष्ट हो जाए या निर्बल हो जाए । BSB BSB: It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything to cause your brother to stumble.
22 HGLT तुझे स्वयं को जो विश्वास है, उसे परमेश्वर के सामने अपने अनुसार रख। धन्य{ है} वह जो उस बात में स्वयं का न्याय नहीं करता, जिसे वह स्वीकार करता है। BSB BSB: Keep your belief about such matters between yourself and God. Blessed is the one who does not condemn himself by what he approves.
23 HGLT परन्तु जो न्याय करता है यदि वह खाए तो दोषी ठहरता है, क्योंकि{ यह} विश्वास से नहीं है। और जो विश्वास से नहीं{ है}, वह सब पाप है। BSB BSB: But the one who has doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and everything that is not from faith is sin.
