7 IEV तब शाऊल ने अपने सेवकों से कहा,“मेरे लिए एक ऐसी स्त्री खोजो जो मृत लोगों की आत्माओं से बात करे, कि मैं उससे पूछूँ कि क्या होगा।” उसके सेवकों ने उत्तर दिया,“एन्दोर शहर में एक स्त्री है जो ऐसा करती है।” BSB BSB: Then Saul said to his servants, “Find me a woman who is a medium, so I can go and consult her.” “There is a medium at Endor,” his servants replied.

9 IEV परन्तु उस स्त्री ने उत्तर दिया,“तू निश्चय ही जानता है कि शाऊल ने क्या किया है। उसने इस देश से उन सब लोगों को निकाल दिया जो मरे हुए लोगों की आत्माओं से बात करते हैं और भावी कहते हैं। मुझे लगता है कि तू मुझे फँसाने का प्रयास कर रहा है, कि मुझे मना किए हुए कार्य को करने के लिए मार डाला जाए।” BSB BSB: But the woman replied, “Surely you know what Saul has done, how he has killed the mediums and spiritists in the land. Why have you set a trap to get me killed?”
10 IEV शाऊल ने गम्भीरता से यहोवा की शपथ खा कर कहा कि वह जो कह रहा है उसे वह सुने, तुझे ऐसा करने का दण्ड नहीं दिया जाएगा।” BSB BSB: Then Saul swore to her by the LORD: “As surely as the LORD lives, no punishment shall come upon you for this.”
11 IEV तब उस स्त्री ने कहा,“तू किसको देखना चाहता है?” शाऊल ने उत्तर दिया,“शमूएल को बुला।” BSB BSB: “Whom shall I bring up for you?” the woman asked. “Bring up Samuel,” he replied.
12 IEV तो उस स्त्री ने ऐसा किया। परन्तु जब उसने शमूएल को देखा, तो वह चिल्लाई। उसने कहा,“तूने मुझे धोखा दिया है! तू शाऊल है! तू मुझे ऐसा करने के लिए यहाँ से निकाल देगा!” BSB BSB: But when the woman saw Samuel, she cried out in a loud voice and said to Saul, “Why have you deceived me? You are Saul!”
13 IEV शाऊल ने उससे कहा,“डर मत। तू क्या देखती है?” स्त्री ने कहा,“मुझे लगता है कि एक देवता भूमि में से बाहर आ रहा है।” BSB BSB: “Do not be afraid,” the king replied. “What do you see?” “I see a god coming up out of the earth,” the woman answered.

He no longer answers me, either by prophets or by dreams. So I have called on you to tell me what to do.”
16 IEV शमूएल ने कहा,“यहोवा ने तुझे त्याग दिया है और तेरे शत्रु बन गए हैं। तो तू मुझसे क्यों पूछ रहा है कि तुझे क्या करना चाहिए? BSB BSB: “Why do you consult me,” asked Samuel, “since the LORD has turned away from you and become your enemy?

19 IEV यहोवा पलिश्ती सेना को तुझे और अन्य सब इस्राएली सैनिकों को पराजित करने में सक्षम करेंगे। और कल तू और तेरे पुत्र मेरे साथ उस स्थान में होंगे जहाँ मरे हुए लोगों की आत्माएँ हैं। यहोवा पूरी इस्राएली सेना को पलिश्ती सेना के हाथों पराजित करेंगे।” शमूएल यह सब कहकर वहाँ से गायब हो गया। BSB BSB: Moreover, the LORD will deliver Israel with you into the hand of the Philistines, and tomorrow you and your sons will be with me. And the LORD will deliver the army of Israel into the hand of the Philistines.”
20 IEV शाऊल तुरन्त भूमि पर गिर गया। शमूएल की बात सुन कर वह इतना डर गया था कि उसमें शक्ति ही नहीं रही। वह वैसे ही बहुत दुर्बल था क्योंकि उसने उस दिन और रात में कुछ भी नहीं खाया था। BSB BSB: Immediately Saul fell flat on the ground, terrified by the words of Samuel. And his strength was gone, because he had not eaten anything all that day and night.

He got up from the ground and sat on the bed.
