Has not David instead sent his servants to explore the city, spy it out, and overthrow it?”

And if the Ammonites are too strong for you, then I will come to your rescue.
12 IEV हमें दृढ़ रहना चाहिए और हमारे लोगों और हमारे परमेश्वर के शहरों की रक्षा करने के लिए दृढ़ता से लड़ना चाहिए। मैं प्रार्थना करूँगा कि यहोवा वही करें जो उन्हें उचित लगता है।” BSB BSB: Be strong and let us fight bravely for our people and for the cities of our God. May the LORD do what is good in His sight.”
13 IEV तब योआब और उसकी सेना ने आराम की सेना पर आक्रमण किया, और आरामी उनके सामने से भाग निकले। BSB BSB: So Joab and his troops advanced to fight the Arameans, who fled before him.

So Joab returned from fighting against the Ammonites and came to Jerusalem.

18 IEV परन्तु आरामी इस्राएलियों के सैनिकों के सामने से भाग निकले। दाऊद और उसकी सेना ने उनके सात रथ सैनिकों और चालीस हजार अन्य सैनिकों की हत्या कर दी। उन्होंने उनके सेनानायक शोबक को भी घायल कर दिया, और वह वहाँ मर गया। BSB BSB: But the Arameans fled before Israel, and David killed seven hundred charioteers and forty thousand foot soldiers. He also struck down Shobach the commander of their army, who died there.
